Center-aligned printing isn't printing in the centre.

I keep getting a 2mm margin to the side of the document, which disturbs the layout when it's cropped. I've got 3mm of bleed set up, the document is scaled to print 100% and auto-rotate is switched on. I have tried literally every setting available in the print interface with no avail. As I'm printing manual duplex (odd pages, then even) this misalignment is a massive headache.
I'm using Acrobat Pro, and Yosemite (most current update installed)

Try the reset described here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer
Check and tell if its working.

  • My printer isn't printing. i replaced cartridges, and still not printing.

We were trying to make a copy and kept getting blank pages. I replaced the black, blue, and magenta cartridges. I still can't get black to print though. I can get a little of magenta and blue to print. I tried printing an email and got some of those colors, but if I try to make a copy, I get nothing but blank paper.

    hi there 333crown,
could you provide the community with a little more information to narrow troubleshooting? Things like your operating system and the printer model usually help considerably.

  • HP C4795 printer will not print in firefox browser but will in IE

I have an HP C4795 printer and HP windows 7 and the printer will not work using firefox. it works fine in IE. I had trouble with firefox crashing yesterday so i uninstalled and reinstalled and printer won't work. worked fine in firefox before my ordeal yesterday.

I see you started another question thread - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/888892 - so I guess your problem isn't resolved.
If it is trying to print to an XPS file, your printer isn't selected as the destination for print. You need to select you printer in the Printer - Name box. See the screenshot.

  • SOLVED: Can't get CM 1015 printer to scan: where is the "HP Solution Center" ?

    Hi,
    I have a HP cm1015 printer.
Recently win8.1 was installed, and I had to reinstall the printer.
I downloaded drivers from the hp site, but I can't get the printer to scan.
It prints, and copies ok, but scanning doesn't work.
    What is unclear:
If I go to the download driver page, I can download 4 different kind of drivers.
    I can choose between :
    Driver - Universal print Driver
    - for windows PCL6
    - For Windows Postscript
    - for windows PLC5
    Software - Universal Print driver
    - HP Printer administrator resource kit.
    I chose
    - for windows PCL6
The "HP Printer administrator resource kit.": are all different files. Don't know what to do with it.
To scan I should be able to get into the "HP solution Center", according to the manual.
However, after downloading and installing the "windows PCL6" driver, I don't see that center on my PC.
So how do I get the HP solution center ?
    Thx!

Problem 1: HP Solution Cntr could not detect any devices and closed down
Solution???  I downloaded, uninstalled and re-installed the driver  successfully.....but could not "add the device" in the last step even if I followed the instructions carefully:  a) make sure device is powered on
                                                                                                              b) connect USB cable
Per Control Panel, printer is "ready" but does not print.
Problem 2: My HP Solution Center disappeared.  How do I re-establish connection?

right click a blank area of the toolbar, click Customize. You'll see the printer icon there. Drag and drop it to where you want.
You can also find this option under View -> Toolbars -> Customize.

  • My program isn't printing to the console.....

Hi I'm new to the forums and Java. I'm trying to get my program to print to the console but nothing prints when I run it. There isn't any errors displaying so I'm guessing there is a problem with the syntax of my constructor. Did I write the methods incorrectly to where my System.out.print isn't getting the data from the rest of my program?

Thanks everybody for the input. I originally had all of my methods within the main blocks, but I ended up getting three errors. I'll work on this more on Wednesday when I have some free time and post what I've corrected and changed. Again thanks.

  • When I print a selection of text the top half of the first line is cut off, i. e. isn't printed, OS X 10.7.2, Firefox 9.0.1.

When I try to print selected text ("Print Selection Only"), the top half of the first line of the first page is chopped off. Then the last line is chopped in half (top half on the bottom of page 1, bottom half on top of page 2). This occurs on all subsequent pages.

I have a very similar problem on the same versions of Firefox and OS X as the OP.
For me, the cutoff problem occurs on the top and bottom of ALL pages intermittently, depending on the line spacing of the current selection (or so I assume).

  • HP DeskJet 3510 Printer Alignment Page Doesn't print correctly.

Hi I have a strange problem with my HP DeskJet 3510. I took it out of the box installed everything loaded up paper and powered it on. It went through all the motions and blah blah and printed out an alignment page. Anyhow it didn't look right to me but I went ahead and scanned it anyway and it then said "ink cartidges are set to default color quality" or something to the effect. I hit ok and it went to the main menu.
Now from my wifes phone I can connect to the printer and print just fine but from our laptop the alignment is all jacked up. If I type a bunch of random lines into notepad or anything really it misses a bunch of lines and some lines just don't even appear. Which I could only think would be because the alignment page isn't right.
Also from app that gets installed from the software CD on the laptop I can choose to align the cartridges but when I do and it prints and I scan the page (that still looks jacked up to me) the software tells me the alignment failed and asks me to rescan after I put the page in there right. I know the page is in there right its face down and in the bottom right hand corner as it should be.
Now I have ran the cartdridge cleaning process several times took the cartridges out and looked for debris or anything that could be in the way even though I doubt its any of those things becuase like I had said earlier it prings perfectly from my wifes printershare app from her smart phone. Just as it appears on her screen. Only getting this issue from the PC.
Anyhow I am going to attach a photo of how the priner aligment page comes out from me doing it on the printers control panel and from the PC's software both it comes out looking like this. If you could please give me some advice to what to do next that would be great as I am out of ideas. Did I just get a bad cartridge? If so why would it print from my wifes phone fine and not from the PC? Is this how the alignment page should look (can't read any of the things on the lower portion really).
Other Info : PC is running Windows . Other PC has same problem running Windows XP. Wifes Phone is using PrinterShare app. Any information or helpful advice is appreciated thank you guys in advance.

Finally, after installing and uninstalling the print cartridges on my HP-3510 around 10 times; I finally got the alignment page to print and then scan successfully. It's a nice, very economical printer when it works properly. I was on the verge of tossing it but glad I didn't. I guess the lesson is that persistence can pay off. My thanks to the other two contributing posters.

  • How to get my_text in the CENTER aligned on my_form?

    Hello
I put  a text field (say, its name is 'my_field' 80 characters length) WITH OUT caption and NONE appearence (not Solid box, no Sunken box).
And i am populating/filling this field with some value PROGRAMATICALLY. Pre-Populating value is vary in its lenght.
For example in 1st case,  i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAAAAAAAAAAA'
In some other case,  i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAA'
In some other case,  i am pre-populating this my_field with 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA'
    Fine.
But i want print this text/value IN THE CENTER all the time / all cases, no matter How much lenghts's value i am populating, i mean, it shuld come CENTER in the micro soft word
Pls. let me know how to get this formatting as CENTER ALIGNMENT
    Thank you

You probably need to set the Align property of the Text field at design time..
Select the Text Field and then in the Text formatting toolbar, choose the Align Center option to have the text displayed always in the center.
    Thanks

  • Front panel not aligning properly on scale print

So I've created a custom print VI with various graphics that I'd like to print on an 11x17 sheet of paper in landscape mode, but for the life of me I can't get the thing to align properly.  I want the front panel to print centered with 0.1 - 0.2 inch margins all around, but instead of doing this, the front panel will sometimes print aligned to the left and top or other times to the right and top (with wrong margins always on two sides, sometimes three or four).  I'm using a programmatic call to the easy print function that scales the front panel to fit on this size.  However, even after making the proportions of objects on the VI 11:17 (vertical: horizontal) I still can't seem to get this thing to center properly.  Any ideas of what the problem could be?

Ok, So I created a blank VI with a 1280 x 1978 frame decoration, yet the print preview in labview still doesn't seem to show the thing with proper alignment.
Looking at the picture, looks like it's aligned along the right and top of the page rather than uniformly centered.  Ideally, the frame would uniformly cover all the edges around the page in the preview.  I suspect this is an issue with LabVIEW and not my printer, as I can set my printer to borderless printing.
    Any ideas?

  • 8500 alignment gets off when printing labels

When I try to print out a page of labels, the print starts out fine then starts creeping up and by the time it gets to the last row of labels in is off by a half an inch. I selected Avery labels, templet 8160. It shows as 1 inch high labels which is correct.
I am using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with the Officejet Pro 8500 A9, printing from Office 2007 Word.
NOTE:    When I print the same file using Office 2007 on my old computer using my old Officejet R40 it prints out just fine!
Should I be taking this printer back for a refund?

    Hi,
    Open HP Solution Center:
Windows XP: Click Start , click All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
Windows Vista: Click the Windows icon ( ), click All Programs , click HP, and then click HP Solution Center .
HP Solution Center opens in a new window.
Click Settings ( ), and then click Printer Toolbox . The printer Toolbox opens.
Click the Services tab, and then click Align the Printheads .
Follow the on-screen instructions to align the printheads. An alignment page prints when the process completes.
The preceding is from the support documents for your HP printer.

  • Installed a new printer and one line on the top is skipped

    Appreciate your inputs.
We have been using the 'Check Printing report' for quite a while; We recently installed a new printer and we see that the alignment has gone wrong.
The checks are printing from one line below as it is skipping one line. Where do we adjust the setting so that the printing starts from the place where we want?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Im no expert but I doubt its a template issue more likely to be the control escape sequence on the printer diriver set up. Check your printer manual and the current set up you have.

    Hi @kams01,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that you are having some connection issues with your HP Officejet 8620 running on Windows 7. I am sorry for the frustration, but happy to help!
I would recommend going through these two guides:
'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Does Not Print: Windows 7.
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Tips for troubleshooting wireless connection issues.
The following tips can help you troubleshoot and avoid wireless connectivity issues. You can try these tips separately or in combination to get a successful wireless signal.
Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.
If you are experiencing an intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.
Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the router. Objects such as refrigerators, microwaves, or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless transmission.
Move any device that emits radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. Such devices can interfere with wireless signals.
I would also visit this website, HP Wireless Printing Center - Troubleshooting Issues.

  • Alignment issue in Report Print display

    Dear All,
I need to print the Japanese text from the report output display. PResently I am trying but I am facing problems with line alignements, they are not printing properly in the paper. Please advice me.
    Thanks
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
Try to find a japanese font type that use the same 'character space' for all the characters, as the COURIER font does. If you check for example the COURIER uses the same number of pixels for 'l' and 'm', and TIMES doesn´t. That is what I mean.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to print selected (highlighted) info from the internet

For some reason, this mac has a hard *$$ time just printing what I want it to. I select something on the internet using command "A". Then I click command "P". The screen that gives printing specifications doesn't have a simple tab that says "print selection". How can I get this darn thing to simply print what I have selected?

    Hi,
OS X isn't very printer friendly.
Print Selection Service 1.0 (freeware on VersionTracker) will add a "Print Selection" choice to the Services menu in the Safari menu.
