Center the buttons in the reports region

I have 2 buttons with Button Position as "Top and Bottom of Region".
Button Alignment is "Right"
How do I position the Button Alignment to be "Center" ??
Thank you, Bill

Hi,
I created a copy of "Reports Region" template and adjusted buttons:
Moved CREATE and CREATE2 tags to extra rows in the BODY table.
Worked great!

  • Can we have one submit button for mutliple report regions querying same tbl

    Hello,
    I have a normal multiple report regions in a page with some editable in those regions, these report regions are querying the same table. Now, Is it possible to have one submit button for all the report regions to update the underlying table data?
    Can anyone please help me out with this one.
    thanks,

    First you'll almost certainly need to roll your own - the built-in stuff is fairly basic and more than likely won't help.
    It sounds like your process flow should be something like:
    1) Person clicks button.
    2) You do a select for update in the process to get the loan id and put it in the person's queue. At this point you may want to flag that column as having been assigned so it can't be assigned again.
    3) You then forward them to the form to enter data. Personally I would create my own items and processses and forgo the built-in form stuff but you may be able to use the Automated Row Fetch. If you do your own, you just reference the objects like:
    insert into table
    values(:P1_1, :P1_2, :P1_3)Edit - Another way would be to use a regular form and insert Stop/Start Tables - so it can look like a different section, but it really is just a label. Thats another option.

  • How to execute an stored procedure from the Report Region

    Have stored procedure "LER_KRONOS_PAYCODE_HOURS_P" compiled and ready.
    (previously tested)
    Region Source:
    DECLARE
    v_SITE_ID VARCHAR2(8);
    v_SDATE VARCHAR2(8);
    v_EDATE VARCHAR2(8);
    v_LEVEL3 VARCHAR2(60);
    BEGIN
    v_SITE_ID :=P4_SITES_LOV;
    v_SDATE :=P4_SDATE;
    v_EDATE :=P4_SEDATE;
    v_LEVEL3 :=P4_LEVEL3;
    EXECUTE LER_KRONOS_PAYCODE_HOURS_P(v_SITE_ID,v_SDATE,v_EDATE,v_LEVEL3);
    END;
    Error When run the page:
    ORA-06550: line 11, column 12: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "LER_KRONOS_PAYCODE_HOURS_P" when expecting one of the following: := . ( @ % ; immediate The symbol ":=" was substituted for "LER_KRONOS_PAYCODE_HOURS_P" to continue.

    You need the execute keyword only when you run it directly from sqlplus.. that will tell sqlplus to append the keyword begin and end after the procedure call.
    Example.
    SQL > exec proc1 (input1);
    will tell sqlplus to run it as a block.. saying
    sql> Begin
              proc1(input1);
          end;Inside the procedure , in your code, you dont need the execute keyword.
    But, why do you want to execute a procedure inside the source for a report region..?

  • Display records returned for a query in the Report Region Title

    Hi,
    Is there any variable set that can be referenced to indicate how many records have been returned for a specific query. I have several hide/show regions dealing with various reports, and I would like to add a little info into the region title to display how many records there were returned for the report in this region.
    Thx in Advance,

    Hi,

    These are simple sql queries BTW. I've seen posts alluding to the SQL%ROWCOUNT when using cursors. Is there any variable we can reference when using a simple sql query?

  • How to center a button in a sidebar region

    Unfortunately, position options for buttons only include left and right. If I want to center buttons in a sidebar region, how might that be done?
    It's easy in firebug to modify <td align="left"> to <td align="center"> which fixes everything, but I'm not sure how this might be overridden in apex.
    I've attempted putting center tags in the header/footer of the sidebar region and some stylesheet options (I'm a stylesheet beginner so who knows...) but I've not had any luck.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks!
    Paul

    Hi,
    It would depend on the theme that you are using and what else may be contained within the sidebar region.
    For example, in Theme 12 with only buttons in the region, you could add the following into the page's HTML Header setting:
    &lt;style type="text/css"&gt;
    .t12SideBarNav td td {text-align:center}
    &lt;/style&gt;.t12SideBarNav is the class name used for Theme 12's sidebar region and td td refers to a nested TD (table cell) tag within a TD tag within the region (the region, at least for Theme 12, is a table within a table). So, this aligns the contents of the inner TD tag which contains the buttons.

  • Getting columns alone to be displayed in the report region

    Hi Gurus,
    Is there any way to bring the columns alone in a report??
    Or
    By clicking a button an excel file should open????
    Please any guide in this respect is greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    kavitha

    You can use a PL/SQL region for that. This example is working for the theme 10 and you could adjust it as needed:
    BEGIN
       HTP.prn
          (   '<table cellpadding="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" '
           || '<tr><td><table cellpadding="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" summary="" class="t10Standard">'
       FOR c IN (SELECT column_name
                   FROM user_tab_columns
                  WHERE table_name = 'EMP')
       LOOP
          HTP.prn (   '<th class="t10ReportHeader" id="'
                   || c.column_name
                   || '_NAME">'
                   || c.column_name
                   || '</th>'
       END LOOP;
       HTP.prn ('</table></table>');

  • Mutliple report regions on the same page querying same tbl

    Hello,
    I have a normal multiple report regions in a page with some editable in those regions, these report regions are querying the same table. Now, Is it possible to have one submit button for all the report regions to update the underlying table data?
    Can anyone please help me out with this one.
    thanks,

    Sure, here are some details:
    Oracle apex version: Product Build:4.2.3.00.07
    Tables :
    STUDENTS - rows : student_id(PK), student_name ...
    COURSES - rows: course_id(PK), course_name, course_credit
    STUDENT_COURSE - rows: student_id(FK), course_id(FK), student_course_id(PK)
    I have a page where I show student's details. On this page I have access to student's id. The name of the field (on the page) is P9_STUDENT_ID. On the same page I want to have a table which is linked to an sql query that lists a student's courses, their credits, names etc.
    My sql query is the following:
    SELECT courses.course_id, courses.course_name, courses.course_credit
    FROM student_course INNER JOIN courses
                        on courses.course_id = student_course.course_id
                        WHERE student_course.student_id = 1
    Currently it displays all courses of student with Id = 1. I just want to replace this '1' with the actual student_id for the student we are currently displaying information for. Or, in this case P9_STUDENT_ID field's value. Don't know if this is the right way to do this, but still reading for options

  • How is when a button pressed a report will come to the same page !!!

    Hi all,
    I wonder that is it possible to bring a report to the page as a region but only when a button pressed in apex .When ı clicked the go button for example ı want to list a report in the same page.
    but I dont know how .If is this possible can you explain me please.I need help!
    Thanks!

    Create your report in a region as normal.
    Create a second region and in this region create an item eg p171_item.
    In the same region create 2 buttons
    Get Report and Reset (branching back to same page).
    Create 2 page processes (PLSQL) on submit after computations
    1. GET REPORT
    DECLARE
    v_item number;
    Begin
    select 1 into v_item from dual;
    :P171_ITEM := v_item;
    end;
    2.RESET
    DECLARE
    v_item number;
    Begin
    select 2 into v_item from dual;
    :P171_ITEM := v_item;
    end;
    Tie the processes to the buttons.
    On your report region put a condition
    PL_SQL RETURNING BOOLEAN
    IF :P171_ITEM = 1 THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    Now by pressing the buttons the report region is opened and closed.
    Now hide P171_ITEM.

  • Partially refresh the sql report region by clicking the region selector tab

    Hi,
    In my page i have a region display selector tab. This region selector tab contain show all,booking,service,.. etc. when i click the booking tab,sql report region will appear. My intention is when i click the booking tab i want to refresh that region partially to display the record according to sql query in that region source of report region.
    how to do this?
    skud.

    KevinFitz wrote:
    The report region being displayed is conditional on P2_QUERY item being NOT NULL. I assume the region not appearing is because the Action for the Select List Item is set to None and so P2_QUERY is always NULL.
    No, the region is not appearing because it is conditional on P2_QUERY being NOT NULL. This means that the report region never exists on the page shown in the browser, so it can't be dynamically refreshed. (Dynamic refresh doesn't evaluate region conditions, and it only re-renders the report content, not the entire region.)
    Remove the condition on the report region, check the refresh is working, then reconsider exactly what the requirements here are. If you want the region to appear only when P2_QUERY has a value, and you want it to be refreshed without submitting and re-rendering the page, then the region needs to be hidden rather than conditionally rendered, and shown via a dynamic action when P2_QUERY gets a value.
    I tried adding an additional Set Value True Action for the DA event but got an error as listed above,
    All irrelevant if Page Items to Submit on the region is used properly.

  • How to display the items in a Report Region

    Is it possiable to have the fields in a report region based on an sql query be display in somthing other than a row? For example if I have a Report Region with four columns it will look something like:
    <Field 1, row 1 value> <Field 2, row 1 value> <Field 3, row 1 value> <Field 4, row 1 value>
    <Field 1, row 2 value> <Field 2, row 2 value> <Field 3, row 2 value> <Field 4, row 2 value>
    <Field 1, row 3 value> <Field 2, row 3 value> <Field 3, row 3 value> <Field 4, row 3 value>
    etc
    Is it possiable to tell ApEx to display the Report Region like:
    <Field 1, row 1 value> <Field 2, row 1 value>
    <Field 3, row 1 value> <Field 4, row 1 value>
    <Field 1, row 2 value> <Field 2, row 2 value>
    <Field 3, row 2 value> <Field 4, row 2 value>
    <Field 1, row 3 value> <Field 2, row 3 value>
    <Field 3, row 3 value> <Field 4, row 3 value>
    etc
    Maybe there is a nother way to do this that uses somthing other than an sql based report region. Thanks very much for the help.

    This can be done using a SQL query report region with a [custom report template|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/themes.htm#sthref1744].
    Unfortunately the documentation is not particularly helpful on this topic, and as use cases tend to be very specific, reusable solutions are rarely shared in the community ("custom" reports after all...) See [this thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1569996] for a good discussion of the technique, with a link to an example on apex.oracle.com.
    A response to [another recent thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1012690] showed another example on page 1 of the [Online Store demo app|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/packaged_apps/packaged_apps.html#STORE], which you can download, install and examine. This uses a custom report template in conjunction with the report HTML Expression feature.
    (I'm not totally clear on the display you're after: it might help to repost it using some example data rather than the abstract <Field 2, row 1 value> approach. Wrap the sample in \...\ tags to get fixed width characters that can be made to align, if that will help.)

  • Problems arranging button vertically under a report region

    Hi All
    I am currently developing an Oracle APEX UI but I’m having difficulty with the arrangement of buttons in the UI.
    What I want to achieve is, to arrange 3 buttons vertically, below an Interactive Report Region which is displayed the page,. I want to arrange these buttons on the right hand side below the report region so the right hand edge of the buttons are aligned with the right hand edge of the report region.
    Many Thanks in Advance,
    Austin

    Hello Austin
    Regarding the right alignment you could try putting
    <p align="right">In your region header.
    As for the vertical order of the buttons, create them as "Buttons displayed amongst the regions items", then set them to "Begin on new line"
    Good stuff.

    hi , i have report region , and i want when i click on show button its show the report region and the button then convert to hide and then when i click on hide it hide the report region and button convert to show , can any body help me for this

    Hi,
    Change your current report region tempalte with 'hide and show region template'.
    In apex inbuild template for implementing show and hide region type of report.
    Go to the edit page option and in user interface chage your current report region tempalte with the 'hide and show region template'.
