Center the detail table

Hi,
Have a master - detail tables using detailStamp facet.
How can I centerized the inner table after the detail expansion?
Thanks,
Mel

I solved my problem - wrapped the detail table around a table with one row and one cell with halign=center and it worked.

  • How to populate rows in the detail table of a form from another table.

    please can someone help me here:
    i have a master/detail page. the master data is created and then i would like to do this: when one goes to the detail page (when first created), i would like somehow to populate all the rows in the detail table from rows retrieved in another table (with conditions).
    i am new to apex so if this is a stupid question i apologise in advance!

    Hi
    Firstly, there are no stupid questions, we all start somewhere!
    However, I could do with some more detail (or even better an example on apex.oracle.com). Please can you post exactly what you have so far and what you want to achieve with simple details of the tables involved.
    It sound like you may need to create a custom process to populate the details. You say 'with conditions'... what conditions?
    Cheers

  • More than 5 rows in the detail table for a Master Detail Portlet

    I have a Master Detail Portlet.   I originally had 5 fields in the detail portlet.  I have added a column to the detail portlet and now the last column is wrapped around in the portlet.  I do not see a way to force it to be on the same line as the rest of the columns for the detail table.
    Do I need to just delete it and re-create the portlet?
    Below is the from the browser when executing the portlet.
    function show_context_help(h) {   newWindow = window.open(h,"Help", "menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=700, height=500"); }

    Easy, The default on the detail field had the Begin on New Line flag set to on.   By unchecking it I got the desired behavior.

  • How to insert a row in the detail table of a treeTable (master/detail)?

    Is there any small, working example with JDev 11.1.2.1 on how to programmatically insert a row in the detail table represented by the treeTable component?
    Please don't send links to this example http://jobinesh.blogspot.com/2010/05/crud-operations-on-tree-table.html , which does not work.
    Thanks.

    Erp, why do you keep giving the links to that example or the zip including the project of that example? I explicitly asked to not send any links to that example, which does not work with jdev 11.1.2.1.
    This is the exception from that one when trying to create a new record on the details:

  • Can the Performance Detail reports be exported as PDF without the Detail Table?

    We previously generated significant numbers of Performance Detail reports out of SCOM 2007 R2 as PDF files, and the 'Detail Table' did not show.
    Now that we are on SCOM 2012 R2, the same reports show the 'Detail Table' when exported to PDF. We report on 6 to 12 months of data, so these tables are huge, and are also useless for our purposes.
    Is there some way to suppress the Detail Table when exporting a Performance Detail report to PDF?

    Hello,
    Please see if the method in the following post can meet your requirements:
    SCOM reports on performance counters for large groups of servers

  • Cannot set the default value of an item in the detailed table

    Hi,
    I have Master-Detail group, both are Table formats.
    I need to set the default value of an item in the details row to the value of an item in the selected row in the Master table.
    I tried Default Display Value=#{row.MasterItem}, but it seems it is trying to access current details row instead of the Master.
    I tried #{bindings.MasterGroupColumnName.inputValue}, but it does not work.
    Any ideas
    Thanks in advance
    Mohamed

    I think I now what I'm doing differently, I had the "New Rows" JHS property of the detailed table group "empty" instead of the default "2" value.
    It seems that "Default Display Value" expression works only for the new records specified in the "New Rows" property. But when I try to "Add" new record using the "Add Row" button, the new record inserted does not have the default values generated, only has values populated for the items of the FK (in the view link) but not the ones set through the property.
    I guess in a nutshell, how I can get the details item to behave like the FK columns?
    Thanks much
    Mohamed

  • Many-to-many association: inserting in the detail table fails

    I'm using jdeveloper 11g and configured the many-to-many association as described in the documentation, so I have accessors in both directions, with composition association and a many-to-many link view. Using the business component browser, the link view works for viewing the data in both directions, as one would expect, however inserting in the detail table fails as follows: the key of the master table is the new value of the detail table's key column instead of the intersection table's foreign key column. Is this a known problem, or is there something I have done wrong?

    If your m-m join table has additional fields there best solution is normally to define a class for the join table.
    i.e.
    beforeProgram
    -m-m-> Assumption
    Assumption
    -m-m-> Program (optional/read-only)
    -> after
    Program
    -1-m-> ProgramAssumptionAssociation (private-owned)
    ProgramAssumptionAssociation
    -1-1-> Program (pk)
    -1-1-> Assumption (pk)
    - createByUser
    - etc.
    Program
    -1-m-> ProgramAssumptionAssociation (independent/optional)
    You could also enable batch-reading or joining on the 1-1 relationship to read the target objects efficiently.

  • Error while trying to view the details table from Show/Hide icon

    What we are having is two tables, Outer and Inner, having Outer VO and Inner VO,outer VO is linked with inner VO. Now when I am trying to view the inner table
    through Show/Hide icon to see the details of the table ,I am getting an error like ...
    The record with primary key values {2280} could not be found in view object MisForecastHeadOfiiceAM.InnerTableVO_OuterInnerVL_InnerTableVO.
    I want to know how this error can be resolved

    Hi Abdul,
    We are not getting error while searching. As said earlier
    While search for the first time > We could see proper results in out table and Even show/hide is working fine and display correct data in Inner table
    When searching for the second time with different criteria > We could see proper results in outer table and on clicking show/hide (to view inner table data), we are getting error.
    The record with primary key values {2280} could not be found in view object AM.ViewLinkVL_InnerTableVO
    From the error message, we found that its trying to get the row (of inner table) pertaining to first search results and not for the outer table row in context to second search results.

  • Source and destination are deep structures.. can't seem to map the detail table

    So, both my source data structure and my destination structure are very similarly built:
    They both have a HEADER and BODY component. The HEADER has the standard AIF fields (MSGGUID, NS, IFNAME, IFVER).
    I have defined the BODY as a deep structure composed of a Header Structure + a Detail Table. Each row in the BODY has a structure with a few header fields, then a table of detail data attached to it.
    In my Structure Mappings, I've created 2 rows:
    The first to map BODY-HEADER to my header structure.
    The second to map BODY-DETAILS to my details table. Here, I've chosen "Indirect Mapping".
    Selecting that row and navigating to "Define Field Mappings", I choose my destination table (DTL) and enter the Sub-table from my source structure.
    At this point, I only have 1 action - to save the data in Ztables. I'm seeing that the header data is passed in fine. But there aren't any detail lines coming through.
    Any ideas?
    thanks alot.
    RP.

    Christoph,
    In your reply, I only have the ability to perform the First Structure Mapping (please see the below screenshots):
    Source Structure; BODY
    Destination Structure: BODY
    Field Mapping:
    1. Field in Dest.Struc=HDR, Sub-Table = SCH_HEADER
    2. Field in Dest.Struc=DTL,  Sub Table = SCH_DETAILS
    I presume I'm following your suggestion, but when I try to create the other two structure mappings, I only have HEADER or BODY as available options to choose from: I've attached screenshots of the F4 dropdown of the Source Structure and also the Destination Structure fields.
    I believe this is because my Interface Definition is defined as a HEADER and BODY:
    Source Data Structure
    Destination Data Structure

  • Show contents of the detail table in the CFL

    Hi,
    I have a Choose From List (CFL) for my UDO.
      This UDO has 2 tables--
         --one master <b>main</b> table.
         -- the other master <b>detail</b> table.
    I need to <b>show the contents</b> of the <b>detail</b> table in the <b>CFL</b>..
    How can I do this ??
    Regards,
    Praveen.

    Praveen,
    Apologies as I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do.  There is an example of working with CFL with the Business One SDK.  You may want to look at this example to understand how to wok with a CFL using code.  You can find the SDK sample at ...

  • The detail part of table doesn't refresh after deleting a row

    Hello!
    I'm developing a Master-Detail table with some a functionality. Particularly, I want to invoke a DELETE function in the Detail part of the table.
    For this purpose, I placed a Command button to the tableSelectOne component of the Detail part of the table, which stores current row key and calls another page. On this (<another>) page I created a ReadOnly form with data related to the row of Detail table, which key is stored. In addition, I added there two Command buttons. First of them is a CancelButton, which does nothing except returning to master-detail page. The second is a DeleteButton, which executes a RemoveEntity method and returns to master-detail page, too.
    When I'm tried to delete in this way a row from detail part of table, I discovered, that this row is really deleted from the database, but it doesn't affect on the content of the Detail part of the table. Any kinds of refreshing couldn't aid me, only restart of the application.
    Could anybody help me to solve this problem?
    Thank in advance.

    Hi,
    I'm facing the same problem but Frank's solution doesn't fix it.
    you need to define an invoke action in the binding
    for your m/d page and set it into the page binding's
    execute section. Then set the condition for invoking
    the action to !postback. This will re-execute the
    iteratorThis efectively re-executes the iterator, so the master table data is refreshed. You can see the TopLink log showing the query to the db (I'm using TopLink instead of BC). The problem is that the detail rows are queried only once and only the inserts and updates are displayed, not the deletes.
    I think the problem may be related to PPR or some cache issue.
    See the BC tutorial
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/ADFBC_tutorial_10
    13/ADFBC_tutorial.pdf
    See page 86 "Adding the ServiceHistories Data". This
    defines a invoke action for this kinf of task. More
    example code is contained in the SRDemo sampleThe tutorial doesn't contain a scenario with master-detail deleting detail records (neither the BC tutorial, nor the TopLink one) so it can't help me :(
    The only solution I can think of is using a different model method (a method in the SessionFacade for TopLink) for the detail table (one that takes the master PK as parameter and retrieves the corresponding detail records) and have a selectionListener in the selection component of the master re-execute the method (passing the PK from the master table current row).
    Is there a solution that doesn't require the use of a separate method for the detail?
    Thanks,
    Miguel

  • Regarding the issue with mater-detail table rows

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0
    I have a master - detail relationship based read-only tables in a page.
    When i execute the master view using the bind variables , I also use a stored procedure to generate additional values to detail view rows using the master row values,
    the selection in master table is at index zero for which the detail table row is not appearing. Once user select the next row for which detail row appears, then clicks the first master row , then only the first row's respective detail row appears.
    I have tried using triggers and also tried to queue the selection event using row key values after master view execution and procedure call.
    Give an idea to solve this issue.
    - Ramey

    Hi,
            Then what can be the solution if it is the refresh timing ?
    I tried to execute detail view with same bind variable as in view link along with view link execution,
    assuming that master's first row is not set as current row to get the detail row based on the default first row selection in master view can trigger detail view .
    Kindly suggest a possible solution.

  • Master-Detail table on the JSF is unable to update the database

    Hi all,
    In my ADF application I am using a master-deatail relationship datasource. I have to enter the detail rows for a master table row and submit the detail rows it should update the
    database. For this I created a master-detail table and dragged the same on to my JSF page as ADF Forms. I created the forms as ADF Form included all the buttons and submit button. I
    dragged CreateInsert operation from the detail table datacontrol on to the detail form. When I enter the detail and click on submit the data is not getting submitted in the database.
    Please help me in this.
    Thankd In Advance.

  • ADF Faces Query Panel: How to display master data in detail table?

    Before stating the question, here is the background:
    I've a Fusion ADF (model/viewController) app that includes 2 tables with a master-detail relationship. The master table stores error numbers and associated levels of logging severity; the detail table stores the actual message text. These need to be separate, related tables because the requirement is that message text for a given error number can vary by product release.
    Messages are added in a bounded task flow; data for the master table entered in 1 fragment, data for the detail table in a 2nd page fragment. In the app, the Entity Objects for these tables are related with a foreign key association and have a composition association. This was done because the error numbers are generated in an Oracle DB sequence, and from what i have read that is a way in a task flow to have ADF put the number generated for the master table into the related key of the child table.
    The question is this:
    I need to create an ADF query panel with a table that searches on the detail DB table. However, i also need to use a couple of fields from the master DB table in both the query and in the ADF table. In addition, I need to add the ability for the user to edit either the master or detail record for the row he/she selects in the ADF table. I know how to create a view that would display the info i need; however, i have not been able to figure out how to obtain the keys for the selected ADF table row and pass them to the task flows that would edit.
    The master table has a numeric primary key. The detail table primary key consists of a foreign key to the master key and also a release number.
    I'm new to ADF and have been struggling with how to do this: i've a workaround that is functional but too klunky to be a permanent solution. So, could someone point me to some information on how to accomplish this?
    Versions: JDeveloper 11.1.1.4, ADF Business Components 11.1.1.59.23
    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks. I tried this out, but ran into an issue in that the detail table has 2 keys - a foreign key to the master primary key, and a 2nd key that uniquely distinguishes the detail. So i tried various things centered around using the SetCurrentRowWithKey operation and trying to obtain the selected ADF table row using an EL OF #{data.<pageDef>.<Iterator>.currentRowKeyString}; however i could not get the detail record for the selected row to display.
    I did find another approach that worked - I am wondering, is there anything problematic with this approach?:
    1. Create a VO joining the Master and Detail tables, with the Detail table being updatable.
    2. Made sure the applicable attributes were defined as keys.
    3. Add a query panel w/table using this VO.
    4. Create an ADF form based on the VO, showing the updatable fields.
    5. Create a bounded task flow with the following set on the Behavior tab:
    a. Share data controls with calling task flow
    b. Always Begin Transaction
    I specifically am wondering whether "Share data controls with calling task flow" has any negative implications or gotchas to handle. The doc at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/b31974/taskflows_parameters.htm#ADFFD1693 doesn't suggest so, but just wanted to double-check before I go down this path.

  • Null value in detail table's primary key

    I use Business Components Data Form to define a master-detail java panel.
    I don't display the primary key column in the detail grid control.
    Then I click on "+" to add a row, enter a value (the 2nd part of the detail table's primary key) and click commit.
    I get an error saying that the primary key column that's not displayed is null and the row cann't be committed.

    select :new.masterkey, detail_key, display_order, ' '
    from detail_values;
    end;
    -- detail.status is a comboboxControl getting --its values of of another db table too.
    -- there's also "after update" triggers on master and detail tables that copy the record to master_history and "detail_history" tables if the corresponding table is modified. Thus we have a history of the changes made to the records. The 2 history tables have 2 additional fields than their parents, "modified_date date default sysdate not null" and "modified_by varchar2(30) default user not null" that record when and who made the change. There's also a change type field that records where the change is an insert, delete or update (there 3 triggers per table , so we can correctly record change type as being insert, delete or update into the change_type field).
    If you want to make it more real to life, the status value is initially blank, then can be changed to a legal status value (complete or not complete), but can not be changed back to blank.
    ***P.S. I have to have this ready for production by monday.****
    P.P.S After you reply and change to ComboBoxControls in 2 places, try changing the table names and/or the column names (say to follow the DBA's naming convention) or add another field to the composite primary key (and unstated foriegn key) (using drop table/create table). Now try getting the existing code to run. No writing down the old/new table (or column) name pair names. Just run the code and try to fix the code based on the error messages. Are the error messages giving you adequate information to find the problem?
