(CentOS5) huge display bugs with jdeveloper

hello,
I have CentOS5 (like RHEL5 but free) and I have installed compiz and emerald on it.
I downloaded jdeveloper (file : jdevstudio11114install.bin) and the installation is a success, but when I launch it the menus, the toolbars and the visual JSF editor have some bugs : they are not displayed well, and when I hover on an element with the mouse , sometimes it appears.
I can't use this program in this state.
is it causes by compiz?
can you help me?

Hi,
you should use the JAR installer for JDeveloper and ensure you have a decent Java SDK for your OS.

  • Macbook 5.1 display bug with 9600m GT (GPU2)

    Hello,
    I have a bug with my Macbook Pro 5.1, (late 2008) with mavericks 10.9
    The performance display mode is bugged with the 9600M GT : Some fakes screens appears with this mode.
    I tried to reswitch to the GPU mode 1 (9400M) with terminal on boot and it works.
    But I cannot use the GPU 2 and performance mode (the graphic card 9600 GT).
    Is it a display driver bug ? Did Apple update the drivers of the 9600m GT Gpu on mavericks ?
    Thanks !

    nevermind.. i just need to adjust my Logitech Control "effect" settings to DPLII Movie/Music.

  • Display Bug with Wifi indicator

    Not sure if this is the best place to submit bugs, but, there's a bug with the wifi indicator.  If you switch network locations, where one has no Wifi adapter, and the other does.  Switching to wifi-less, and then back to with-wifi results in a busted wifi indicator in the menu bar.
    As you can see, Wifi is connected (Network Pref panel), but the Wifi indicator in the bar is X'ed out.

    Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Displaying XML with JDeveloper

    Using JDev 10.1.3 for an ADF + Struts application,
    What is the smartest way of displaying XML documents, with different XML formats/structure, stored in a CLOB field of a database.
    I have already .xslt stylesheets for each different type of XML file; I plan to have this .xslt files as other column in the database.
    I would like to know how to incorporate this xslt on my project and specially how to use it when displaying the information XML/CLOB to the user?
    Any samples, ideas, url, etcx will be welcome.
    Thanks,
    OM

    i don't know if oracle has a product for this but they would have to plan one to embed in JDeveloper.
    i'm using authentic from altova that permit you to define entry helpers based on a xml schema to edit a document and to render it in html, rtf or pdf. I think it is possible to embed it in a java or web application. The best way is to ask altova support. For sure other similar solutions exists also.

  • Display bug with new catalyst driver & xorg

    Hello everyone,
    I have just updated catalyst (fglrx) from fglrx 8.40.4 to catalyst 7.11-1 and Xorg server from 1.2.0-5 to 1.4-5. Indeed I have an ATi Radeon Xpress 1100 (RS485) on my laptop.
    Everything is well except...this bad bug :
    almost each time a window is created (xterm, dialog box which pops up, firefox ...; there are maybe other trigger events) a strange blurred square appears at the bottom right corner of my screen, and my cursor has a strange trail, as if a piece of widget was attached to it. The cursor trail disappears quickly, but not the square. I have to switch in console mode and to go back to X to make it clear. It is composed of pixels of different colors.
    Does someone have the same problem ?
    Moreover the driver gl (or gl2) does no more work with mplayer, I have to use the x11 one, but glxgears is ok and I have, according to glxinfo, direct rendering enabled.

    There are many problems with the latest AMD xorg driver.  To fix the display corruption, add
    Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true"
    To your fglrx device section in xorg.conf
    Also, try disabling AIGLX - it's not working well and is known to cause some problems.
    In xorg.conf:
    Section "Extensions"
    Option "Composite" "Disable"
    EndSection
    Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "AIGLX" "off"
    EndSection

  • Photoshop CS4 Menu toolbar display bug and fullscreen slowness...

    http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/8202/menutoolsbugee3.gif
    I'm having a display bug with the menu toolbar in Photoshop CS4 Extended. Notice the area of tools is gone and replaced by random pixels? This happens whenever I enter the fullscreen mode that hides the interface. And when I exit that fullscreen mode, that bug appears and doesn't fix itself until I restart Photoshop. Can this be fixed?
    Image view rotation also happens much slower than normal in that fullscreen mode when interface is hidden. But performs normally after I bring back the interface.
    I'm on WinXP, Athlon 64 4000+, 3GB ram, GeForce 6800 GT video card [driver 169.21]. I'm not sure if this is a video driver bug or CS4 bug.

    Yeah, Dave, I can understand how that can happen. I've seen that sort of weirdness when I've seriously overtaxed my hardware.
    <br />
    <br />Had way too much running all at once yesterday, switched over to Firefox, and clicking on folders in the Bookmarks bar, I had 4 bookmark/folder menus dropped simultaneously.
    <br />
    <br />I managed to grab a screenshot with 2 of them showing, but man! You shoulda seen it with 4!
    <br />
    <br />I ESC'ed out, quit GarageBand (had a song project of several hundred MB going) and all was fixed.

  • Minor display bug in JDev 11g "View Annotation" with Subversion

    Hi all,
    A very minor visual display issue with the "View Annotations" feature of JDev 11g when using a Subversion repository. To reproduce, simply follow these steps:
    1). Open up any source file and right-click in the editor; select Versioning -> View Annotation. The annotations will be shown, and if you right-click again, you will see a check-mark next to the "View Annotation" menu item.
    2). Open another source file. Annotations are not shown. Right-click in the editor; you will see that "View Annotation" menu item displays a check-mark (even though annotations are not shown). Select Versioning -> View Annotation. Annotations are now shown, but you will see the check-mark is no longer displayed.
    To summarize my analysis; it appears that "View Annotation" was intended to be a global setting (as indicated by the check-mark), but is actually implemented on a file-by-file basis. Obviously a very minor display bug not affecting functionality, but a bug nonetheless.

  • Is there a bug with stateful WebServices in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?

    Hi
    I created an ultra simple JAX-RPC Webservice from the following class using the JDeveloper WebService Wizard:
    class myWebService
      private static int SessionId;
      public myWebService() {SessionId++;}
      public int getSessionID() {return SessionId;}
    } I declared this WebService as Stateful with Session Scope. The Timeout is 600s;
    Running this WebService in JDeveloper 10.1.3 (using the generated HTML-Testinterface) I see that "getSessionID" returns the same ID on each invocation. Obviously state is managed correctly.
    However, running the same WebService in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 I see that "getSessionID" returns a different ID on each invocation. Obviously state has been lost.
    Is this a bug in JDeveloper?
    Thanks for your help.

    Is anyone using stateful webservices with JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?

  • 1.5.1: Bug with single keystroke bind value being displayed but ignored

    I just ran into a bug with using with bind values (run as statements) using SQL Developer 1.5.1.54.40, JDK 1.6.0_04, Win XP SP 2.
    If the bind value was previously Null (NULL checkbox checked), then typing one (and only one!) character into the Value field displays the character and deselects the NULL checkbox but is ignored when running the statement - the bind variable is treated as Null. Running the statement again redisplays the bind dialog and the NULL checkbox is deselected but there is no value in the Value field.
    For example: select rpad(dummy, :length, dummy) from dual;
    When running this as a statement and typing a value between 0 and 9 into the Value field results in null (ie select rpad(dummy, null, dummy) from dual). Running again and leaving the Null checkbox unchecked and typing the single character again produces the correct result (ie 9 produces 9 Xs). Running again and checking the Null checkbox and typing the single character again produces null again.
    This only occurs where you type a single key stroke in your bind value. If you type two characters and then delete one, the bind value is used correctly.

  • JDeveloper 10.1.3 Bug With Multiple JSF Config Files?

    There seems to be a problem with JDeveloper 10.1.3 when you have multiple JSF configuration files. I have three configuration files created for a JSF application. One file contains navigation cases, a second file contains the managed beans, and a third file consists of the regular faces-config.xml file.
    When you are working with a backing bean in JDeveloper, it seems to have a nasty habbit of sticking a "new" managed bean definition for the backing bean you are working on in the faces-config.xml file.

    Good point. We'll try to address this in the production release of 10.1.3.
    Thanks,
    Rod

  • Business Services development with jDeveloper

    We are making use of the Business Services feature in JDE to expose business functions as web services, that's great and working.
    we have one problem with jDeveloper during development.
    we can create a new business service from OMW in JDE and invoke jDev from there, that's fine.
    then we can put codes in the project in jDev, that's fine.
    then we can publish the code as J2EE web service, that works as well.
    then if we restart jDeveloper after that, the J2EE web service doesn't work in the jDev embeded web server any more.
    we always have to delete the web service in the project and go through the same wizard steps to generate the web service again.
    it's very annoying when you have more than a handful of web services you want to expose.
    and if you use the WSDL in a client project to call this web service, you have to remember to give the web service the same name when re-generating otherwise you have to reimport the WSDL again on client side, it can be another huge pain if the client is Oracle BPEL.
    so my question is, why is this happening? is it some settings in jDev that we didn't set right? or is it a bug in jDEv and is there a work around?
    thanks in advanced!

    What error did you get?

  • BUG IN JDEVELOPER !!! SQL QUERY

    Hi JDev Forumers ;o)
    I was wondering how I could accomplish to set my attribute labels and display the customized ones in a JSP page.
    I would like to display employee numer instead of empno, how did you do this?
    When i try to set the databse columns on entity level he's building the query wrongly in the view object it's a BIG BUG in JDeveloper!
    He's building the SQL Query statement wrong:
    This is my query statement of the employee view after i've set the database columns:
    SELECT Emp.Employee Number AS EMPNO,
    Emp.Employee Name AS ENAME,
    Emp.JOB,
    Emp.Manager AS MGR,
    Emp.HIREDATE,
    Emp.Salary AS SAL,
    Emp.Commission AS COMM,
    Emp.Department Number AS DEPTNO
    FROM EMP Emp
    it has to be the other way around!!
    Nathalie Roman

    Nathalie:
    I didn't realize JDeveloper was a 'he'! I was able to change the attribute name from empno to Employee_Name in the attribute settings for the app module. I then built a BC4J application and when I run the JSP, the column is showing as 'Employee_Name'. Additionally, I was able to create a data tag in a JSP that refers to the attribute as such:
    <jbo:ShowValue datasource="dsemp" dataitem="Employee_Number" ></jbo:ShowValue>
    In both cases, the query is built correctly. Is this what you were trying to do? If so, please reply with your steps and I'll see if I can help further.
    Thanks,
    Lynn

  • [Resolved] WDK bug with url links

    Hello,
    My problem concerns the Wireless Developer Kit (10.1.2.0).
    First I will explain my context: I develop XHTML-MP jsp web pages with Jdeveloper in order to display them on Pocket PC or mobile phones.
    My problem is that when I want, for instance, display pictures generated by an external content provider, the pictures tag is as following:
    <object data="http://content_provider_web_site.com/script.cgi?param1=value1&param2=value2&..."
    type="image/gif"/>
    When the WDK encounter this code, I've got on the terminals screens
    "500 Internal Server Error"
    and on the error output:

    Solution:
    When you have more than one query parameter you must XML
    escape the '&' by using '&amp;'. The URL should look like this:
    http://host:port/file?p1=v1&amp;p2=v2
    <http://host:port/file?p1=v1&amp;p2=v2>

  • Problem with tutorial; "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using "

    I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
    In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.
    To familiarize myself with the new JDeveloper I decided to spend some time with the JDeveloper 11g tutorials found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/index.html.
    I've started twice on the second tutorial, "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces", and find myself repeatedly stuck at step 19 in section "Creating the Data Model and Testing it".
    It seems impossible to deploy the application to the default application server. The server starts fine on its own, I can access it via the admin console on port 7001 and it looks good. However, when I try to run the HRFacadeBean funny things are happening, symptomized by the following error messages seen in the IDE log-area:
    The "Messages" pane displays:

    Problem invoking WLST - Traceback (innermost last):

    Done
    I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
    Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

    Jupp,
    It fails in a similar way.
    What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
    When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
    [waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]

    DefaultServer startup time: 121552 ms.
    DefaultServer started.
    In the "Messages" pane, however, things are not looking so good:
    Context: MakeProjectAndDependenciesCommand application=TestAppJsp.jws project=TestProjJsp.jpr
    [7:20:49 PM] Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
    [Application TestAppJsp is bound to Server Instance DefaultServer]
    [Starting Server Instance DefaultServer]
    #### Server Instance DefaultServer could not be started: Server Instance was terminated.
    But, of course, the server is actually running as I can access it via its Admin Console.
    So, I try to run the project again, and this time the following is shown in the "Messages" pane:
    Compiling...
    Context: MakeProjectAndDependenciesCommand application=TestAppJsp.jws project=TestProjJsp.jpr
    [7:26:39 PM] Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
    [Application TestAppJsp is bound to Server Instance DefaultServer]
    [Starting Server Instance DefaultServer]
    #### Server Instance DefaultServer could not be started: Server Instance was terminated.
    The "Running: DefaultServer" now comes up with:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
    [waiting for the server to complete its initialization...]
    [Server Instance DefaultServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
    Process exited.
    The WLS is still running though as I can still access its adm console.
    To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
    Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
    I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.
