Central Management Store being accessed is not the active store
We are experiencing issues with our Lync 2013 services after hardening our SQL backend. Even though we have created aliases to the backend database instances and FrontEnd servers is able to access the databases, we are having this error when performing tasks
like enable-csuser or new-clientpolicy from powershell or Lync control panel:
###50023:XdsPublishItems: The central management store being accessed is not the active store. No data can be read or any changes can be made to this store.
Any suggestions or ideas?

If you connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over to your iTunes library. Depending upon what country that you are in you might also be able to redownload it on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.

I forgot the answers for security questions, how can I reset them and get the access back to the iTunes store?If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Your profile indicates you are running Leopard v10.5.8
You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard V10.6 in order to use the App Store. This is an "upgrade", not an "update".
Make sure your Mac meets Snow Leopard's requirements here.
You must have the minimum of v10.6.6 installed in order to access the App Store.

When trying to update apps, I get the message: "Account not in this store,...switch to the Canadian store before purchasing" How to I switch, and how did it even get changed to US store? I don't remember changing anything, and I used to be able to update, no problem.. I have synced with my computer for music - could it have happened then? I changed on the computer to Cdn site, but will it not go to the iPhone automatically?
On you iPhone go to settings-iTunes & AppStore.
Tap user name, sign out.
Log back in with your apple ID and password.
That should fix the problem -

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather . -
While in Japan on a trip, I updated my iPhone to iOS6. Now, when I try to update my apps, I'm told that my account is not good in the Japan store I must switch to the USA store. How do I do that so I can download and update apps at home in the USA?
Your Apple ID is tied to the US store. Log out of the store, then trying logging back in.

If you're in the US and have an account in the US iTunes Store, then go here and check the region:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.
If you are in Colombia, then you cannot use the US iTunes Store, and you can't use a US credit card in the Colombian iTunes Store.

Account not in this store your is not valid for use in the U.S. store, you must switch to the Chinese Store before purchasing: Bing, Picasa PHO, Evernote, TED, Facebook, Weather Channel.

Then switch to the Canadian store, which is where your Apple ID is registered. Log out of the UK store and log in to the Canadian store using your Apple ID.
