Central Receiver Role

I'd like to set up a central receiver role/person to do goods receipts when the original SC requisitioner is out sick or on vacation. This person should be able to see all open PO's and select only those he needs to do goods receipts. I know there's a central receiver role but I don't know if there's any further configuration (IMG, PPOMA, BAdI) I need to do to enable this process. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Also, since the central receiver can see all PO's and only perform selective goods receipts, I'm thinking his GR goes not require approval. Is that true?
Many thanks,
SN

Hi,
The Central receiving Trx can be found for in role SAP_BBP_STAL_RECIPIENT. The Trx is BBPCF03.
The role/intent of this central receiver is to receive goods when the requester is out. If his GR requires the approval of the requester, who is out, how is that going to work? Is there anyway to bypass this requirement?
<b>Sundeep: Yes, you can have no approval. This approval WFL is totally dependent on how the business wants to handle it. If they feel, an approval is not required, you can certainnly bypass it. Also if there is a need for an approval, and the requestor cannot approve (vacation etc), then you need to ask business on how do they want to route the approval in such a circumstance? They will have the answer !!
In case no approval required you can use the no approval WFL WS10400010</b>
Hope this info helps !!

  • Central Receiver role in Classic Scenario

    Hi All
We have a requirement for a user who can enter goods receipt in SRM on behalf of other users.
We tried to set up the central receiver role provided by SAP , however encountered some issues:
    1) In the POWL for the central receiver, only the PO's created locally are visible. So none of the Classic PO's in ECC could
    be seen
    2) When in the" Create Confirmation" screen, I manually searched for a PO, It allowed me to proceed One screen, however I couldn't enter a confirmation as I got an auth error:
Partner xxxxx not found with partner function type xxxx.
I thought the central receiver was entitled to confirm all PO's without question.
    Kindly advise
    Thanks
    Kedar

    Hi Ranjan
The only tab I have is Central confirmation & worklist.
I didn't modify the role , but just using the standard portal & SRM role offered by SAP for Central receiver.
Inside central conf, I have the 2 problems I mentioned.
I cannot find backend PO's & secondly when I try to confirm other person's PO/shopping cart I get the partner function error.
Is central confirmation from SRM , even supported in classic scenario?
    Thanks

  • Central receiver in EBP

    Hi,
I need help on configsting central receiver position to do the goods confirmation for others in EBP Clasic.
I created Role as EBP receiver, let me know any further configuration missing.
    Thanks

    Sreedhar-
Not sure what the issue you are experiencing - are you able to start the receive centrally transaction, but then you can't find any orders to receive?  Or are you just using the wrong tcode?
Also verify you have the following attributes maintained in your org structure.
System Alias for Accounting Systems     ACS
    System Alias     SYS
    Accounting System for Vendor     VENDOR_ACS
    System Alias for Vendor     VENDOR_SYS
The value of these attributes should all direct to your R/3 backend logical system.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can I listen to music from my Apple TV to self - powered speakers and watch regular tv at the same time? I don't have a central receiver that splits everything, just the apple tv and the speakers.

Trying to play music from my apple tv directly to speakers and at the same time watch tv. Now I'm not that advanced at technology so I kinda need the easiest way to do this. Now I see that the Apple tv has an optical audio output. Can I set that optical out to self powered speakers and then have regular RCA cables set out from the tv to the same speakers and watch the tv on mute, unless I want to turn it up for a moment. I want to be able to airplAy music through my apple tv but also put a game on at the same time if I have guest. I hope my question was clear enough, but that's the best that I can explain it. Oh by the way, I do not have one of those centrAl hub receiver where all the speakers are plugged into and where you can set different inputs and outputs out of it. Everything would be a direct connection.

yes. u dont need the tv. turn it off.
    1. direct connection (optical or stereo cables) to your amplifier
    2. use mac to play to atv, or iphone/ipod touch to remote control the atv. (wifi)
works as a charm, Ive done this for several years..

  • Required roles for alternate goods receiver ?

    Hi All
We are working on SRM 5 (Classic Scenario). We have one scenario as below
Person A (has self service requester role) has created a shopping cart in which he/she has put person B (has self service requester role) as goods recipient.
In our case Person B is not able to receive the goods or not able to see the shopping cart to receive the goods (on confirmation screen). He/she can only see the shopping cart to receive the goods on confirmation screen when he/she has central receiver role.
We need advise whether this is standard behavior, if so can we  change it through someway. Problem with this approach is , if we give central goods receiver role to all requester then everybody would be able to receive the goods for any shopping cart in that OPCO which is not desirable.

    Hi Trinath
Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately this does not work. User can see this with central goods receiver role only.

  • SRM 7.0 - Central Confirmation / Goods Receipt

    Hi,
We are in the process of upgrading from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0.  What is the backend role and portal role necessary for Central Confirmation / Goods Receipt?  In SRM 4.0 we were able to view all SC's (PO's) that were available for confirmation with the Central Receiver role.  I am not able to locate a portal role or iView that is similar to this.  The Central Confirmation iView does not populate when refreshing and I believe it is for Stand-alone scenario.  We are using Classic scenario.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi Jef
You can create confirmations for purchase orders with the statuses In Process, Changed, or Confirmed.
The document control settings in the purchase order determine whether or not you can create a confirmation for an item. Purchasers use these document control settings to specify which follow-on documents they expect.
    CHECK
Note 1446183 - Incorrect outstanding quantity in EBP confirmation
Currently i dont have SRM 700 box .
in SRM 550 we did not have that status called 'Outstanding Confirmations'
i will check up with my SRM 700 friends and come back to you.
but standard RULE, If the Purchase order is approved then we can do confirmation a any time .
if the POs did not avail for confirmation, you can report to SAP.
    it is a defect.
    Muthu
ps:- is the PO is limit PO and invoice only. check it up.

  • Confirmations in the Classic Scenario

We are currently running SRM 4.0 and using the classic scenario to create reqs and POs in the backend system.  We want to do GR in SRM and have setup the central receiver role. Is there an ALE process that needs to be activated to see the list of POs in SRM?

    Hello Nancy,
Check whether you have done below config or not:
    1. Creation of Partner Profile using tran WE20 for Message type ACC_GOODS_MOVEMENT & MBGMCR
    2. Set up Ports under Transactional RFC using Transaction WE21.

  • TDMS System Role Problem

    Dear experts,
We are configuartion TDMS poilt setup for ERP systems. We plan to use the Solution manager as the TDMS server.
    (1) A lot of documents are kindof mixing these the controll system role and central system role together. My question is shall we use one client to play as both the controll system and central system or 2 seperate clients? What is the advantage of seperating these two client?
    (2) In TDMS setting up phrase, what communication user and logon user should we prepare in advance for the sender system, controll system, central system and receiver system? Could you provide a user and role list for each system just for the TDMS poilt setup purpose? The security guide is not clear about this.
Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi Claire,
the control and central system can be the same system and same client. This makes live easier for checking and setup.
I suggest using the same user for all systems (receiver, sender, control and central).
A dedicated TDMS role is offered together with the installation.
Hopefully this helps you configuring the setup.

  • Receiver determination doesn't work for same IDoc type but in differentSWCV

    hi guys,
we have an emergency now. Receiver determination doesn't work for same IDoc type but in different SWCV.Please check below for detail.
    1. The process flow is : R/3 IDoc -> XI -> Third party system
    2. In previous release R13, IDoc ORDERS05 was imported and used in XI and software component version is R13. And receiver determination was created.
    3. Now, in new release R17, IDoc ORDERS05 was imported from R/3 to XI again and software component version is R17. And in R17, the receiver determination created in R13 was used for both old interface(R13) and new interface in R17.
Then we encountered the problem, both interfaces doesn't work now, even we deleted the receiver condition(In R13, IDoc ORDERS05 was sent to system A, and in R17 IDoc ORDERS05 was sent to system B, RCVPRN was used as an condition).
Does anyone encounter this problem? really need and appreciate your help.
    -Eddie

    information from monitor:
Status     Sender               Service Sender Namespace                         Sender Interface
    reschedul  XXXCLNT100     urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages   ORDRSP.ORDERS05
columns for "Receiver Service","Receiver Namespace", "Receiver Interface" are blank
And then double click records in monitor, go into detail information...
Normally there's lots of setps existed, such as
    Inbound Message ( CENTRAL )
    Receiver Identification
    Interface Determination
    Receiver Grouping
Message Branch According to Receiver List
    Technical Routing
    Call Adapter
But now there's only one setp -
"Inbound Message ( CENTRAL )" existed, no any another setp..., and payload in inbound message looks good.
And in SMQ2, I checked the queue information, found there's an error - "An exception occurred that was not caught." No any other detail information for this error.

  • Role in dependency on logon URL

    Hi there!
We've got portal, that is available via internet, extranet and LAN. It has three logon URLs (server.localdomain.local, portal.publicdomain.com and www.secureserver.com/ourportal(somehash)). Can we somehow do a trick. We want that if user logs on via portal.publicdomain.com, he receives roles 1 and 2, but if he logs on using two other URLs, he receives additional role 3.
Actually we have ESS role on portal that we want to make available only via secured access type (LAN or token).
    Is it possible?
Thanks in advance for help and support!

  • SAP user assigned with roles from HR-ORG incorrectly

    Hi All
I have an issue where a SAP user appears to be receiving role assignments from some HR-ORG object erroneously.
I have checked the user's HR positions and organisational assignments and they do not have any roles assigned.
I also checked the job and no roles are assigned there as well.
Where could these roles be coming from if they are not coming from the position or org unit?
User currently has direct role assignments in SU01 except for 3 roles which appear as indirect assignments (HR assignments) in SU01.
Is this is a bug and is there a note to fix it?
Please could someone let me know why this is happening.
    Thanks
    Ran

Hi Colleen.... Thanks for your email.
Please see below screenshot, it is an Org assignment but single roles also belong to composite roles.
PBS is not meant to be active and PFUD is scheduled as a daily job. CUA is not active here.
User is assigned to a position and org unit but roles are not provisioned via the Org/position. So there is a 0105 mapping, I have checked those positions and org units but no roles are assigned there.
    Basis release 731 and level 0005, SP - SAPKB73105.

  • Assign single role to composite role with alternate logsys assignments

    Dear gurus,
In a moment of weakness I created a composite role (shame on me) and then noticed something about them which I had not noticed before... -> I was in a CUA master system and in the composite role I noticed that on the (single) roles tab of it, there was a field called "logical system". But it is greyed out.
Now composite roles from the child logical systems are known to the CUA master system and have a logical system assigned by the text comparison. Assigning the composite in the master system will assign the composite in the child system and that assigns the local single roles in the child system as well -> so far so good and by the book.
But is there some way to assign a composite role to a user in the master system which is assigned also to the master system, but the single roles of that composite have logical systems which differ from the logical system of the master system? So basically the field is not greyed out in the central composite roles and this composite role then represents an assignment beyond logical system boundaries - much like a "business role" in IDM.
Has anyone ever done that before and survived? Any pros and cons? Is it at all possible what I am seeing here before my eyes (bar that the field is greyed out)?
    Cheers,
    Julius

    Hi Martin and others,
I experimented a bit further with this, albeit rather unsuccessfully from the view of useful results.
While the "target system" field is intended for navigation to the corresponding trusted RFC connection, it is also possible to turn the user menus off. So such a remote role is not going to go anywhere in navigation. If additionally the CUA is active and you create all the target system single roles in the CUA master system as well and assign them to the "target" they are intended for... then the single role menu is transferred to the child system which the role has as a target. But only the menu, and leaves the role in the target as status red. That also means it is only useful for component neutral roles.
Now comes the hack: If you create a composite role in the master system with local single roles as well but the single roles are assigned to "targets destinations", then when assigning the user to the composite role in the master system, then it also assigns the single roles in the target systems to the user as well as the local system (the master as a child of itself). So it is in fact a halfway business role in the IDM sense, with some naming convention strings attached.
You also dont see this in the code of SU01, as the USERCLONE Idoc processing seems to be the guilty one to also send aditional Idocs for these single roles with targets assigned to the roles and not the user.
There is only one major show-stopper in the design of the thing: You can only assign 1 target RFC connection to a single role in the central CUA master system but have to maintain the roles in the target logical system still. That means that roles must be maintained logical system specifically. That also means that you have to maintain the roles directly in production and have a completely different set for development and never transport any roles. They are as unique as their CUA master system "target destination" value and that is the logical system name as well.
That is a bit of a bummer because it means that you also cannot ever test anything...
Did anyone ever try to actually use this?
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • WAVE 294 roles

    hi
    the question is simply...
can i implement a WAAS accelerator and Central Manager roles on a WAVE 294 appliance at same time, or do i need one appliance for each role?.

    Hi Julio,
Accelerator and Central manager roles are mutually exclusive, you can never implement both at the same time in one single device (regardless of the model)

  • Creating Additional Central Administration

    Hi ,
I have a classic 3 tier farm [1 App + 2 WFE ] , with Central Administration hosted on the App Server . I need to provision additional Central Administration on one of the WFE.
Can somebody let me know what is the correct procedure?
I am also seeing a a Central Administration Role Disabled to the WFE 's  in the services section. What does this option stands for?
    Thanks in Advance
    Thomson

when you start the Central Administration service on WFE, it will provision a site in IIS for Central Admin.
but, in your AAM, the default URL for central admin is http://yourAppServer
so, if you wish to browse it from WFE, after starting the Central Admin service on WFE server, add another URL in the AAM (any zone) as http://yourWFEServer, now you'll be able to browse the CA with both APP and WFE server url (i.e. from both the server)
    Thanks, Noddy
