"Central system not accessible" when registering external candidate !!

Hi,
When registering an external candidate via candidate registration link we get an error as " Central system niet bereikt ( This is translation of "Central system does not reach " in Dutch language ). This issue is for only ONE language NL (Dutch) and working fine for other languages.
The SICF service HRRCF_CAND_REG is displayed correctly in all languages . But when an external candidate goes to register itself, he gets such an error message. The recent installation of Dutch language was done correclty.
Please help ,as what could be the possible reason.

EREC - SAP When an external candidate registers - default email

When an external candidate registers on E Recruitment does a default email go to his email id with the user id & password.
Please let me know if any standard workflow is avaiable?

Hi Paul,
this workflow is just triggered, when the candidate registers in Pool without applying. In this case he can define user and password himself.
A user and password in an e-mail is just required if you apply from job search. Till EhP4 you cannot define user and password yourself and an e-mail is needed. For that purpose no workflow is available in standard.

EREC: Internal Error while logging in using Registered External Candidate

We are on ECC 6.0 EHP 5 & ERECRUIT 605 (0005) and EP 7.0 SP22.
I'm on the final stages of config on Production system for eRec applications, all works fine and ready for LIVE except the below functionality:
1. i've registered 2 uses as external candidates using the external url
2. when trying to login with that user, it throws internal error - this kind of issue didn't happen in DEV/QAS.
when i've checked the SLG1 below came:

The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_ABSTRACT_CONTROLLER==CM001 line 56
The user is not assigned a candidate or an employee
The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_START_A==============CM007 line 19
The user is not assigned a candidate or an employee - this message didn't make me any sense as its the external candidate who is logging into the system.
Then i've checked that user by running the HRALXSYNC >User: 455DC84C411 > F8. This gave me below errors:
Determination of connections to object 'CP' of 'US' '455DC84C411' failed
User 455DC84C411 is not integrated in the organizational model
This kind of issue didn't repeated while I was configuring the DEV and QAS system, why i'm getting this only in PRD?

Hi,
I do not really understand what you expect from report HRALXSYNC. This report has nothing to do with the external candidates.
A common issue when things on the production system are not working like on dev / qs are insufficient authorization tests. So you should check the authorization trace for the sevice user wich is defined in the external alias for the external candidate registration ICF service. Furthermore checking the NA, CP, BP, US objects and the relations between them can help analyse authorization problems on the object creation.

ESS Content not showing when accessed Externally

Hello Experts,
I am experiencing an issue with our ESS portal that is not displaying the content when it is accessed externally (from outside our intranet).
Currently we can access all content from inside our own network. From outside our network we are able to log into the portal and access all tabs (content Admin, System Admin, user Admin, etc), however when we try to access the ESS, My Travel, or My Budget Tabs we get a "page cannot be displayed" error. It appears anything using WebDynpro will not load.
Internally we access the portal by going to the URL: <ServerName>.baldor.com:50000/irj/portal
Externally we access the portal by going to the URL: employeselfservice.baldor.com:50000/irj/portal
Is there some kind of mapping that we need to configure? Any Suggestions?

Problem is solved.
We had to use our external web address in the System defination in the portal.

Ethernet not connected when using external hard drive

My brand new Mac Mini (mid 2010) works fine when I connected it out of the box to my router via Ethernet cable. But when I boot that new mini using an external hard drive (La Cie 500 GByte Firewire 800 connection), the Ethernet shows up as "Not connected". It advises that I should plug it in, or the other end may not be plugged in. But when I simply reboot again to the internal hard drive, without changing any connections, the internet connection works fine. When I boot a different and older Mac Mini (2.0 GHz Core Duo) off that same external hard drive (using Firewire 400 of course), the internet connection works fine. I'm stumped despite using Macs since 1986. I tried automatic mode, but I can't get far, because it thinks there is nothing plugged into the Ethernet port. But there is, and it even works when booting off the internal hard drive. Both the internal and external OS are at 10.6.4, latest. I also tried erasing the internal hard drive so it couldn't get confused, but that didn't help. What else to try?

The ethernet service has nothing to do with the cable plugged or not, and the ethernet cable is working fine with the other system, so definitely the issue with your other OS. Forget about the working OS for now and boot into the OS that has the problem and select the ethernet service from the service list in System Preferences > Network then click on minus button then apply the changes then click the plus to add it again.
If this didn't work, go to :
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
and trash the NetworkInterfaces.plist file then restart and see if it solves the issue.

Mountain Lion bug: Switching between virtual desktops not possible when using external screen only.

I think I have found a bug. I upgraded to Mountain Lion last week, 2 days after ML became available. My laptop is a Macbook Pro from November 2011. I ran Lion before and I did an upgrade on my laptop (not reinstall, but upgrade).
I have an external HP screen (24 inch) connected using DVI (standard connection). I also have an external Apple keyboard (bluetooth) and the external trackpad (bluetooth). I concider myself as a power user with long experience. I started using multiple desktops in Snow Leopard, and really liked the "4 finger swipe up" that came in Lion. By swiping 4 fingers up on the trackpad, I can see all "virtual desktops" on the top of the screen and select or more applications to the different screens.
This function does still work, but when I put the Macbook pro in "clamshell mode" (meaning the lid is locked and I am ONLY using the external screen), then this does not work. When I do the gesture (4 finger swipe up), the virtual desktops on top of the screen are not shown.
But if I open the Mac and then having 2 active screens, both the internal LCD on the Macbook Pro and the external HP screen, it works again. It does not matter which screen the "Finder many" is active on.
Picture below show how it is supposed to work. And it still works if no external screen is connected or if the external screen connected but the lid on the Mac is still open (not clamshell mode).
This is how it looks on the external screen when I do the "4 finger swipe up" and the Macbook Pro is in clamshell mode (lid down). Please also note how the background image is not minimized in the same way as before.
Have any other experienced the same problem ? Where do I report this to Apple ? Any e-mail or WEB pages where I can report bugs ?

As an update, I tried switching the main display to the MBP. Nothing changed.
However, I changed the rotation to 90 degrees and everything is back to Normal! Aside from the fact that I'm looking a 24" screen in the vertical position.

System not stopping when shutting down while lid is closed.

Hi everyone.
I have a problem. When I try to shutdown my system, and immedeately after that I close my lid, the system don`t want to stop. It just keeps on working with the backlight on, but it is not responding, and the screen stays black. After that I have to stop/reboot the system using my power button. I can`t find anything in my logs. Can you, guys, point me where the problem could be?
My machine is Dell Studio 1555 with Ati Radeon video card. If you need any information, I will post it.

Your MBA is going into deep sleep. When you restart, the MBA is loading the sleep image and not doing a complete reboot. When you MBA wakes up, how much battery charge do you have remaining.
Deep sleep is enabled if your battery is draining or near empty.
SmartSleep allows you to set the threshold of battery charge remaining, let's say 20%, when your MacBook will write the contents of memory to disk.

Error 53 - File not found when registering HFM adaptor for 11.1.2.1, 64 bit

We are having trouble registering the HFM adaptor (FM11X-G5-E-1005) in version 11.1.2.1 of FDM which sits on 64 bit windows 2008 R2.
I have followed the procedure of the KM article KM 1211618.1 which essentially has you deleting the 32 bit COM+ application that 11.1.2.1 improperly installs and registering the 64 bit component. Unfortunately, the 1st part of that process is not working. After going into dcomcnfg and deleting the COM+ app the next 2 steps are:
1) RegAsm.exe /codebase "<Path to your adapters folder>\FM11x-G5-C\fdmAdapterCOMadmin\fdmAdapterCOMadmin.dll"
2) RegSvcs.exe "<Path to your adapters folder>\FM11x-G5-C\fdmFM11xG5C\fdmFM11xG5C.dll"
Step #1 is failing and yields the following error message: RegAsm : error RA0000 : Unable to locate input assembly 'E:\Oracle\Middleware\EP
MSystem11R1\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdm
AdapterCOMadmin\fdmAdaptorCOMadmin.dll' or one of its dependencies.
Any suggestions to assist with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Before you do step 1 are you doing:
cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727
If you are not in that directory and/or do not call it explicitly you are probably not getting the exact regasm/regsvcs you require.
I do this quite a bit on Server 2008 R2 and haven't ran into this issue.

Operating system not found when deploying to machines with two hard drives using MDT 2013.

Computers with two hard drives will not boot after the install OS step in the task sequence. I get the "An operating system wasn't found. Try removing drives that don't contain an operating system" error. I am able to get the
machine to boot by swapping the hard drives' boot order, but the task sequence won't complete after this. The deployment works fine on machines with one hard drive, and I'm not getting any errors from the task sequence. I'm deploying windows7
enterprise x64 using MDT2013. This is a new custom image and task sequence generated using MDT2013. I can't remove the second hard drive because there are scripts that run on the second hard drive during deployment and also because I don't desire
to remove and re-install 250 hard drives. I've not experienced this problem with earlier versions of MDT.

UAC box not accessible when "modern" app is open.

Problem:
Modern app and UAC don't work well together.UAC box is impossible to use (to answer Yes/No on security warning)
To reproduce:
Go to User Account Control Setting and lower the setting to second from bottom ( to not dim the screen).
Download an EXE program and start the installation.While it installs, open and use a modern app like OneNote.While you're using OneNote, the installation on background opens a UAC box to ask for a confirmation.However,the UAC box is not visible.At this point
it's impossible to use OneNote app but you can use all other things on the PC.When you minimize OneNote, the UAC box is not visible.Click anywhere on OneNote app and you hear a sound (as if it's telling you that you have an active pending box that you have
to close before using that window) .When you maximize the OneNote app the UAC box becomes visible for 1 second then disappears again.The only way to solve this is to right click on OneNote icon on taskbar and Close it.The UAC is still invisible ! You
have to run the program installation again.

We tried request scope but that caused other problems. We aren't really looking for the constructor to be called with every view, just when a new instance of the application is invoked (by clicking a link in an email). Right now, if the user opens a new browser from the start menu and pastes our link into it everything works fine. I think our problem is in IE and Windows. Perhaps we'll try request scope again and see if the problems that causes are easier to solve than this.

Speakers not working when using external monitor

I'm using an HP Envy laptop and HP Pavilion 25bw external moniter connected via HDMI cable. Using Windows 8.1. When the laptop lid is closed the sound is turned off. If I open the lid I get sound for about 2 seconds then it goes off. If I remove the HDMI cable, the sound comes on. How can I get the sound to work with the 25bw connected and the lid closed?
