In the september cumulative update there was a known issue:

After you install this cumulative update on a system that is running Microsoft Lync Server 2013, you find that the Central Logging Service is not listening on designated ports. This means the Central Logging Service does not start or capture data. When
this issue occurs, an exception error message that resembles the following is logged in the event log:
Workaround
To work around this issue, you must follow one of these methods based on your scenarios:
Scenario 1
If you do not have August 2014 Cumulative Update 5.0.8308.738 installed, install the following OCSCore.msp from the August 2014 Cumulative Update 5.0.8308.738, and then install this September 2014 Cumulative Update 5.0.8308.815.
In the october cumulative update that known issue is not included? And it says that it replaces the september update?

Does this mean that you dont have to make the workaround in the october update? I have still not installed the august cumulative or the september cumulative. Only the security update that broke clsagent.

Issue with XDCam log and transfer update
I'm trying to install Sony's XDCAM EX Log and Transfer Plug-in, and only can get as far as the "Destination Select" tab, where I'm informed that it "can't be installed on this disk. Final Cut Pro 6.0.3 or higher is recommended for this software."

Plus there is Sony's Clip Browser app (v2.6) for checksum validated offloading of the media from the camera/cards ... and now there is a brand new app called Sony XDCAM Browser (v1.0) which is designed to combine/consolidate the functions of the various utilities into one single handy dandy app. Unfortunately in this first release it has far inferior functionality as compared to what can be managed with the separate apps.

Domain.log is not updated anymore
Hi all,
Through a cleaning operation on the disk, I deleted the domain.log of our BPEL domain
Since then, as no new file has been created, I've tried to create a blank file domain.log or copy a similar file from another machine to put on it.
In any case, our BPEL domain stop to update this file, our process are still running, but we don't have log anymore, event in error case.
What I have to do to re-generate this domain.log ?

Rather, you can see the default_insland logs of that container in the opmn/logs folder.

SCCM 2012 OSD: central logging, smsts.log
Hi,
Is there a way to follow an SCCM MDT integrated task sequence in real time?
We configured central logging and this is working fine, though it is only BDD.log that is copied. When task sequence fails or is succesfull the other files are copied too.
We want to have the possibilty to monitor in real time, without needing to go on the machine itself and open smsts.log.
Please advise.

That worked fine but then we decided to go to MDT logging, again some threads.
No logging is satisfactory to us, neither is the status message. I don't get the concept of the satus message, why is it there whereas smsts.log is containing all logdata.
We deploy a lot of machines to debug. These are on the central logging share. Loggings like smsts.log also can easily be sent for comment when issues. To be able to debug correctly, we need the smsts.log, it's a struggle each time to go on the machine and
get the smsts.log (when machine is in winpe-phase or has network issues. I don't understand why a simple concept = central logging of smsts.log (not the status messages) is that hard to configure/would not exist at all.

Hi I just tried to install the kb2768001 update and it failed. Now non of the sites in share point are loading. including Central admin. Share point is running, the logs are being updated.
what i have done so far,
- re boot the server
- reset iis
so far same results.

I used to be able to download files from the Harddrive of my Sony Handycam, but now it won't let me import them while going through "log and transfer." I have tried to update my settings, but this doesn't seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated

Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

It is a bad situation. Your credit card expired but you cannot change it because FormsCentral is retiring.

Is the AppleID listed in Settings --> Store and Settings --> iCloud the same?
If it is a totally different ID and not a slight variation of yours, I would definitely take it back to the store. You may have bought a returned item that had been setup previously. -

That Apple ID is stored inside each of those applications. If you can’t get back into it, you’ll need to delete and redownload all of them, which may require repurchasing paid ones.

Equipment action log and display changes nnot updating
Hello Guys,
it is little strange but for some of the equipments action log and display changes are not being updated.
The records are there only till 2007 but since 2008 whatever changes we make now they are not being recorded in action log or changes.
But strange thing here is usage list is being updated as it is supposed to be.
i have checked most of the config. but really not helpful.
i am clueless here.

Lync 2013 - Issue with Snooper and Centralized Logging files
I ran the AlwaysOn trace on 3 pools last night till this morning. When I run the search script and include the specific time I want I get a different time in the trace. For example....I want to see the traces from 3-3:30AM. This is what
I ran :

When I open snooper the timestamp on the trace is from 8-8:30AM. I checked all the servers in the 3 pools and there are .hdr and .cache files from yesterday to this morning as seen here:
The timestamps on the servers are correct.

The issue may cause by the influence of the cache before.
Please try to run the cmdlet: Sync-CsClsLogging and then run the search cmdlet again to test the issue. The cmdlet
Sync-CsClsLogging will flush the cache used by searching before. Flushing the cache helps to ensure that there is a clean log and trace file capture buffer at the CLSController for the next search operation.

Centralized logging service could not be started
When the Lync centralized logginng service agent tries to start I get an error in the Lync server logg on all of the servers.
First I get infromationmessage:
"New config received from CMS. Following are the changed settings: EtlFileRolloverSizeMB: Old - NULL, New - 20.........."
And then an error:
Lync Server Centralized Logging Service Agent Service could not be started.
Exception: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Rtc.ClsAgent.IISLog, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

The service is started though.
Lync 2013 server, CU4.Hi,
today I have installed all Lync update in two servers, and we have the same issue, on Lync edge server 2013 std ed. and Lync FE server 2013 std. All server are Windows Server 2012 std. ed. with all update.
There is a solution? New fix or a UFFICIAL workaround?

Hi, I'm trying to set the selected profile in the print options section of the Photoshop print dialog. When i try and do this with the profile name using only ascii characters, it works fine, as soon as i put anything else in there, i does not work.
