  • Hold Button wont work

    So i have had my mipod touch for about a year and a half now and has worked great. I just went and added some more songs onto my ipod yesterday and now the hold button wont work. My ipod wont turn off or hold. Is there an easy fix for this problem? Or does anyone know why this happened?

    There is no "hold" button on a Touch, only the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons (and I suppose the volume button on the side if you have a 2G or later).
    In any case, if you have experienced a change in behavior it is best to try turning the Touch completely off (not to sleep, OFF), or if that doesn't help then try Resetting it, and if that doesn't help Restore it, and if that doesn't help Restore it as a new iPod (i.e. don't re-load your last backup).

  • I Drop My Ipod Alot And Now It Wont Charge It Wont Show My Notifications Even Doe They Are On My Home Button Wont Work Just A few Times But Thats It.and when on my vine i doesnt let me hear my vines idk why

    PLEASEE HELP I Drop My Ipod Alot And Now It Wont Charge It Wont Show My Notifications Even Doe They Are On My Home Button Wont Work Just A few Times But Thats It.and when on my vine i doesnt let me hear my vines idk why

    You broke it, you will need to get it serviced or replaced. The drop voided your warranty so you would have to do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.
    Please don't type in headline style, i.e. capitalizing every word.

    Try restoring the iPod to rule out a software problem. First restore from backup and then to factory defaults/new iPod.
    Then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Sleep/lock button wont work on ipod touch 2g. what can i do??

    Try to connect in recovery mode and set it up again "as new ipod" : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
    If this does not work, your sleep button might be damaged and you'll have to get it serviced.
    Setting up as new device and backing up the data before is also covered here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137

    Very likely it is a hardware issue (exactly same as mine). I am afraid to say that you need to send it for repairing. You will get a replacement if your iPod mini still under the warranty

    I‘d be amazed if you could even FIND a working 1 Gen iPod Mini, let alone actually purchase one.
    i now know why they dicontinued it
    Because it was re-engineered in to the 2G Mini?

    Well, duh?!?
    You tore it apart an dremoved & replaced bits an pieces. Even if the warranty time frame was still good, your actions would have voided it completely.
    You can try www.ipodresq.com or google “iPod repair“.

  • My iphone is stuck on the settings screen but the home button and lock and power buttons wont work. I can navigate through my settings but can't get out of them or turn off my phone.

    My iphone is stuck on the settings screen and the home and lock buttons wont work. I can navigate through the settings but canot go home or turn orr or reset my phone. Please help):

    I had the same situation with my iPod touch 5th gen. You can manually reboot it thru pressing sleep/wake button and holding it up to 10 secs - no data will be lost.. This didn't work in mine, but to some it did..
    If it won't work, you could do what I did which is I reset all settings in the Reset part. It won't lose any data, just the settings (if you have just less settings did to the device, which I had). So just configure or tweak things again in the settings when it reset again.
    Hope this somehow helps!

  • My bottom screen wont work on my ipod?

    I dropped it lightly once and the bottom screen of my ipod(4th gen, 32gb) wouldnt work. My home button wont work either. Can anyone help me please!?!?

    If it is still under warranty, bring it to the apple store and they will either send it in to be fixed or replace it for you.

  • So i just got my ipod august 2012. about 1 month ago, my home button stopped working and my ipod is getting slower and slower. would apple be able to fix it for free?

    Ipods automatically have a one year warrany unless you have violated the terms. But you can pay to extend the warranty. It depends, they may fix it for free or they may charge a bit. Im not entirely sure. But id say theres a good chance that they may fix it for free. With battery replacements, ive heard that they give you an entirely new ipod with a charge of $80. So i think it depends

  • Power button wont work

    okay so about 10 minutes ago i was sitting down and had my phone charging in my lap, i didn't do anything differently and then all of a sudden my screen flashed on then off then on and off and so on about 5 or 6 times rapidly, now my power button wont work at all, no matter what, i have taken out my battery and put it back in but thats all i can think of, any ideas?

        Good morning, jcmorgan17. Thanks for trying all the suggestions from your fellow customers. I'm confident that if you made it into the store, their hands-on evaluation was able to help determine if the phone needed to be replaced through your warranty http://vz.to/uyYF0o or if there may have been some prior damage and insurance http://bit.ly/07CrqPK or other replacement options were needed. If you were unable to visit the store, please call 866-406-5154 from an alternate line so we can help with finding the best solution as quickly as possible.

  • Eject button wont work

    well ever since i upgraded from Panther to Leopard my eject button wont work. i have to restart my whole computer for it to work and that gets tedious after a while. when you first turn on the the G5 it doesnt work no matter how long you hold the button down, unless you restart it so can anyone help?

    Yea, having to hold the button for second or two right? Unless i restart the computer that doesnt work and i could hold the eject button down for days without a thing happening. I did the menu eject and that doesnt work either.

  • Button wont work after Swipe

    Hello everybody,
    I have this script to scroll a movieclip on Ipad:
    import fl.transitions.Tween;
    import fl.transitions.easing.*;
    text_asco.addEventListener(TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_SWIPE, onSwipe8);
    function onSwipe8 (e:TransformGestureEvent):void{
    if (e.offsetY == 1) {
    if(text_asco.y <= 100){
    var RightTween:Tween = new Tween(text_asco, "y", Regular.easeOut, text_asco.y, text_asco.y+200, 0.5, true);
    if (e.offsetY == -1) {
    var LeftTween:Tween = new Tween(text_asco, "y", Regular.easeOut, text_asco.y, text_asco.y-200, 0.5, true);
    And then I have some buttons that moves in Timeline, so if the user press chapter one in a menu then it jumps on the timeline so the scrollable movieclip is place at chapter one. But my problem is that when I have used the Swipe gesture the buttons wont work anymore.
    This is my code for ons of the button:
    a.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, a_Click, false, 0, true);
    function a_Click(event:MouseEvent) { gotoAndStop("asco");
    WHAT IS WRONG???

    I do not think it's the software. It may be a keyboard problem in which case the post about resetting PRAM should fix it.
    In the meantime, you can (or should be able to) reject the disk using the Terminal.
    Here's a link to a page with a few Terminal commands to eject the DVD.
    They work for me.
    http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20041011075232575
    If you can eject the DVD from the Terminal, then it's most likely not the software.
    Here's the one I like:
    Enabling an Eject menu As a side note, you can enable another means of ejecting disks by opening the folder System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras and double-clicking the file "Eject.menu". An eject icon will appear in the menubar that can be used to close and open selected optical drives.
