Centris 610 locks up when I use the MacTCP applet

I have a Centris 610 running 7.5.3. I got this used, and it has not been any trouble before.
I recently purchased an Asante FriendlyNet Transceiver AAUI-15 to RJ45 from eBay, and it works fine as far as I know (lights come on on the transceiver and the connecting hub). However, when I try to launch MacTCP Admin or MacTCP applet, one of two things happen. Normally, the whole system just locks up as soon as the applet opens. Occasionally, I will get a flashing pop up with a bomb in it, no text, and I can't click to make it go away.
Because the system seems to be working fine everywhere else, can anyone help me determine why this is happening? Normal apps like Word and Excel run just fine, and the system starts and shuts down normally.

I do use a router, a Linksys wired model. The Centris has MacTCP preloaded from the previous owner, the transceiver I got off of eBay.
Here is the physical setup; Centris with transceiver connected to the AAUI port. Cat5 cable to a 10Mbps switch. Hub uplinked by Cat5 to an SMC multiport 10Mbps hub. Hub connected to the router by Cat5. I have other systems connected to the SMC as well.
The Centris boots normally to the desktop. It is only when I attempt to open the MacTCP applet or the MacTCP Admin applet that the system locks up. I have opened the applets with the transceiver both connected AND disconnected, but both situations yield the same result. I have not, at this writing, opened the Network applet.
When the applets start, I can see the previous owner's settings, but I can't change them because of the lockup. While I can always wipe the drive and reload the OS, I would like to solve this before taking such a drastic step. All other apps work like a charm, so I believe that there is something else I am missing.

Sorry, but I don't know what the outline tool is. Are you using the lasso tool? There is a bug in the lasso tool in PSE 10 windows, explained here:

Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

the router is using AES incription.
my wi-fi is a secured connection WPA2,
i believe i should have WEP or WAP connection for it to work?
i have set up my daughters nintendo 3ds lite to internet no problem using existing connection.
talktalk said they do not support apple ipod touch sytem?

My SIM card won't pop out when I use the paper clip, not sure what to do. I cant get it to respond to itunes, it said could not detect device. I have a "locked SIM" on top of phone. Yes it was a crazy weekend. (but fun)

It is a bit of an angle to eject it and you have to push hard. If your weekend included immersing your iPhone in liquid it could be even a bit harder.

You state you configured your iCloud account on your iPhone 5 but the Find My iPhone app says it's not registered.
Did you actually enable Find My iPhone on the phone?

If you’re asked to sign in, enter your Apple ID or, if you don’t have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID, then follow the instructions.

Tip: For added security, set up a passcode that needs to be entered before anyone can access the apps and information on your device. To set up a passcode, go to Settings > Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode. If your device has iOS 5 or iOS 6, go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock.
Again, it's under Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone (at the bottom).

When I use the new Pages on my iPad, I can't open it on my new computer. It tells me that I must download the new Pages to see the Pages document, but when I try to download the new pages to my computer it tells me all apps are up to date.

When I use the new Pages app. On my IPod to type documents, I can't open them on my new computer. It sends me a message that I have to download a newer version of pages to see the Pages document. When I try to do that it tells me all my apps are up to date and will not allow me to upgrade the pages on my iMac.
Any suggestions?

It's not necessary to change the Command N keystroke..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

You have 2 solutions:
1 - You can use 2 differents icloud account
2 - You use the same account but you don't sync yours contacts.
You configure that in Settings > icloud
You activate or desactivate what you want.
