Centro datebook won't sync, no errors

I have had my Palm Centro 3 months and have not had problems syncing since I got it, but it has stopped syncing my calender/datebook and contacts/addresses.  I am running Windows XP home and Palm access 6.2.2 (hotsync version 7.0.2).  I previously used a Palm Zire 72 and upgraded to the centro in Sept.
When I sync, I do not get an error message and it does not hang up/delay anywhere, it just completely skips the datebook and addresses, seems to jump in at "6 of 12".
In the hot sync manager, everything is checked, including the date book and address book.  I have tried syncing as "synchronize the files", "handheld overwrites desktop" and "desktop overwrites handheld", but it does not change.
I have DbFixIt and I have no corrupted files on the palm centro.  I have gone into palm desktop>tools>options>Tools> to check for any corrupted files on the desktop, with no corrupted files found.
I have deleted the desktop from my computer and reinstalled from the disc that came with my phone.
I sync to palm desktop (not outlook) and have made sure the palm conduit sync is syncing with palm and not outlook.  I have performed a soft reset.  I am syncing on the correct User name.
I have scoured these boards for any other ideas.
I am ready to throw in the towel, but I love my centro and have used palm for 5 years now and hate to give it up.
I have done everything but a hard reset, but before I did that I wanted to see if anyone else had any other ideas.
And, my husband's centro sync fine, no problems, while syncing the datebook and address book fine, on the same computer, on the same palm desktop program.  So, I am thinking that the problem in on my palm as opposed the palm desktop program itself.
See below for a copy of my sync log:

Ok, I saw that I have the "Pm trace database" error, so I fixed it.  Now sync is giving no errors at all.  But still skips datebook and addressbook.

  • IPhone4s won't sync. Error message says I do not have privileges to make changes.

My iPhone4s won't sync. Error message says I do not have privileges to make changes.
Why not?! It synced fine yesterday and I have made no changes. How do I get it to stop giving me the error message and sync?
I have tried shutting everything down. I have tried everything I can think of short of wiping the phone by hitting "Restore" and I really do not want to do that.

    Thank you.
I actually figured it out a while ago.
Turns out it is not an issue with the iPhone or iTunes.
By process of elimination I deduced it could be a permissions issue with the hard drive and/or folder that holds the contents of my Music Library.
For example, if the "Sharing & Permissions" settings (found in the "Get Info" Window) are set to "Read Only" on the internal or external drive that contains your Music Library for iTunes then you can not write to the disk. Therefore, you do not have privelges to make changes to the internal or external drive and you get the error message when you try to sync with the information on that drive.
Here's the kicker and million dollar questions:
How did the "Sharing & Permissions" settings get changed on my Hard Drive without me doing it?
Why did my iPhone sync fine yesterday and suddenly today the Hard Drive is doing this?
I have to set all priveleges to all drives to "Read & Write" and that just doesn't seem very secure to me.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

  • IPod won't sync, no error message nothing freezes

I originally started with not being able to use iTunes 9 on my new windows 7 notebook. I reinstalled my os and before anything else I installed iTune 9. All went well, I loaded all my music, and even synced my iPod classic 80gb, then it went back to starting to sync but the it would stop syncing. iTunes shows that it is syncing and when I eject my iPod it warns me that it is still syncing but there is no file transfer and the iPod has the connected screen, but not the syncing screen. I have tried all of my usb ports rebooted all the usual to try to fix it. I can do a full 60 gb sync using sharepod, or media monkey, but not itunes. I think this pretty much points to an iTunes problem. Everything sees my iPod, windows, iTunes, sharepod, winamp, and media monkey. I have never gotten an error message thru all of this. Any ideas? How about you APPLE, got any suggestions?

Sorry about the delay, banderso. I've been brooding.

  • Itunes won't sync ipod (error 54)

I installed the new itunes and bought a new ipod and initially I had a problem getting itunes to recognize my device but after going into update driver software it now recognizes the ipod but I still can't sync! It will start to and then I get an error message 54. Any help is appreciated as I am really tired of spending so much time on this one ipod problem.

This is from an old post - it seems to have fixed the problem for some people.
Error -54 is a file permissions issue -
if you open the Start menu & type %userprofile% (including both % symbols) then hit Enter you should see the My Music folder, which is the default location for iTunes music files.
Open My Music, select the iTunes folder
Then, make sure you have sufficient control over the contents of that folder -
right-click on the folder, go to Properties
        Security tab, Advanced..
        Permissions tab, Change Permissions...
click your account name in the list, make sure it says 'Full Control' [if not, reply to that effect & we will need to revise this answer]
check the box underneath for "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object"
click OK. That should recursively give correct permissions right down the folder hierarchy.

  • Centro to palm desktop -- won't sync calendar, freezes up

My subject line pretty much says it all.  Been syncing just fine until today the calendar won't sync.  Initially it wouldn't sync and the log said my calendar or my computer was full, so it wouldn't sync.  Now, it just freezes up on trying to sync date book & calendar.  Using desktop 6.2.2.  Everything else syncs ok if I set the calendar to "do nothing".  the desktop search for errors returns no corrupted files.  Can't see anything blatantly wrong with the calendar on my centro.  Earlier today, a group of appts disappeared from the phone (before I attempted to sync and failed).  After failed sync, those entries were back, all in duplicate.  I went back and deleted the duplicates (leaving just 1 entry for each) on the phone, but it still won't sync.  There are no duplicates on desktop, that I can tell.
So, now what do I do????

I had this same issue. I spent about 2 hrs on phone today with palm support. Here is the upshot: there were corrupted records(calender events) on the centro that I had to find and delete. For exampe I would have an event 4-5 years ago that would just have "uuu1" or some similar nonsense. What Palm had me do was go to a third party website and download a trial version of an application called dbfixit. www.pimlicosoftware.com. the software would detect the problem but the free trial version would not fix it so I had to go to each corrupted event and delete it myself.  I do not think my support person realized that the freeware version cld not autofix the problem. So there was a little confusion there.. but eventually I got everything fixed and hotsynched (relief) I hope this helps you,

  • Podcasts won't sync - error "no longer exist"

i connected my ipod to sync to itunes. for some unknown reason, itunes was blanked out and when it synced, it wiped everything off my ipod. i reuploaded everything from my hard drive and subscribed to/downloaded podcasts. however, now when itunes syncs with my ipod, i get a message that the podcasts no longer exist so it won't sync. help! i miss my podcasts!!!

It has nothing to do with being authorised, that doesn't affect Podcasts. Plus, you already have them on your computer.
Did you have to change the settings for the Sync Podcasts? If you did, then you may need to perform another Sync to make sure the "change" has been implemented.
    If not, then:
Have you previously managed to Sync Podcasts with this iPod?
Are they Podcasts, downloaded as Podcasts through iTunes?
    Are they iTunes U programmes?
    Are they video Podcasts?
Do you see any error messages when you Sync the iPod with iTunes?
Where, on your iPod, are you looking for the Podcasts?

  • My nano won't sync and I keep getting the error code 13019

I had a computer crash and have been trying to move all of my itunes library over to my new computer.  I got that accomplished today, added new music and got my itunes library all filled up how I want it but now it won't sync with my ipod.  It says "This Ipod "Jessica's Ipod" cannot be synced.  An unknown error occurred (13019)."
Any ideas on what could be the issue here?  I've done all the basic troubleshooting including: resetting my ipod, making sure I have the latest itunes availalbe, restarting my computer, trying different USB ports and I even restored my ipod to factory settings to see if it would help.  Now all I'm left with is an empty Ipod.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've done all the recommended steps from other posts similar to this and NOTHING is helping.
