Centro Hotsync problem: two Date Books, second never finishes syncing

I have a Centro. It worked fine syncing for many months using the USB cable. For some reason, now it won't synchronize. All the information in Palm Desktop on my computer disappeared -- I only have my calendar on the phone now. When I try to sync, the HotSync Progress box appears on my computer, and if I show the details, it gives me the following, where there are two Date Books and the second one never completes:

As you can see, several items from Date Book on are doubled, and the second Date Book gets stuck in perpetual synchronizing.
I haven't found any answer for this in searching the forums. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Palm Desktop. I followed advice on Palm's troubleshooting page to rename my username on Palm Desktop and to delete my username from the phone. None of it made any difference.

check the hotsync log for the 2nd user (2nd centro that froze).
try see if you can find any significant error message or codes.
also try to attempt syncing the 2nd centro and this time change the action of the datebook/calendar to handheld overwrites the desktop.
that if your desktop is good to be overwritten.
it is very unusual to behave this way where both of the centros have 2 different user ID's and both are syncing to palm desktop.

Itunes never finishes syncing w/ my Ipod

For the last few months, Itunes will never finish syncing with my Ipod (I think 5th generation). I have the latest updates from Apple, and have about 27 gb's of the 30gb filled up with mainly music. I add ratings to the songs, but other than that, and a few song additions, there isn't much else to sync. In fact, when I first start syncing with Itunes, the center display window (i.e. where track info is shown) will tell me what is being synced over. Eventually it just says, something like "syncing with Ipod -- Do not disconnect". I've tried waiting for two days, and it'll remain like that. I end up pushing the eject button to free it. The ipod takes 5-10 before it is finally released from Itunes. Any ideas on how to fix?

I get this problem as well from time to time. It always seems to work itself out by it self too. What I do when it's acting up is when it says it's done my iPod screen will go to the main menu for about a second then back the the syncing do not unplug so I just time it right when it's at the main menu and unplug it then. So far it hasn't damaged anything.

The Setup:
itunes 11.1.2.32 - install on Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit - Service Pack 1 + all updates from windows update
iPhone 4S - running IOS 7.03(11B511)
Additional information
During the update to from IOS 7.02 to 7.03 the update process stopped and asked to restore the iPhone
The restore deleted all data on my phone. Yes restore means delete all data including your photos.
My backup did not work so now running IOS 7.03 with the "Finishing Sync" issue on iTunes

Subsequently most of my music and apps are missing from my iphone because it never finishes syncing. How do I fix this?

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
above works for purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.

Data entry problem with Date Book

am suddenly unable to enter data into the Date Book. Every keystroke results in a new 'untimed event' line being placed at the top of the screen.
I have loaded the latest firmware upgrade and tried warm and cold re-boots.
Any help appreciated

Hard reset tried several times. No change in the problem - before or after re-synching with desktop.
It appears that the Palm's program is no longer recognizing that keystrokes are being entered where there is a time (each key entry triggers a new and separate 'no-time' line at top of screen.
I am abler to enter data on computer and then transfer it to the Tungsten via 'synch'. Such data cannot be edited from the Palm (same result as above).
Also - if I enter a time to a 'no-time' entry, it too cannot then be edited or added to.

Difference between two dates in seconds/milliseconds with Expressions

Hi,
I need to write a query using Expression(Builder) which calculates the difference between two columns (date/timestamps). As of other requirements I am not able to use JPQL, so I tried to create the query with the Expression framework. The difference between the two dates can be calculated with the
ExpressionMath.substract(...)
method. The result is a Date-like object storing the difference between both dates. But how can I cast this difference to a long or something like this with expressions?

Date functions are very database dependent, as each database has its own set of functions for processing dates.
The functions are defined in the Expression class, you can try,
truncateDate, roundDate, or datePart

IPhone never finishes syncing

I have an iPhone 3G and all of a sudden, I am unable to complete a sync. The iTunes will stop responding in the middle of it as it says "Finishing Sync". I tried my other PC and it did the same thing. No music or ringtones will sync either. I tried just one song. It wiped out my songs already on my iPhone. What can I do to get iTunes to finish syncing? Could it be my phone? I have yet to download Ver 4.1. I am too scared.

After browsing through several similar posts, "https://discussions.apple.com/message/11273586#11273586" got me to try to un-sync contacts. That got the sync to finish as before. Further posts seemed to indicate that a corrupt file would cause this never ending sync. I think that's true since not syncing the contacts fixed the problem. I don't know how to fix corrupt contacts.
Anybody have a suggestion.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

Problem Outputting Data From Second Table Based On ID in FIrst Table

Hi Everyone: I have been stuck for a couple of days on a
couple of issues. Here is one:
I have a COURSES table. I also have a COURSES Summary page
that displays all of the courses and related info.
When a user clicks on a specific course it takes them to a
courses detail page for that specific course. PROBLEM: Everything
is working ok except: I have a separate table that has the teachers
information in it. The two tables are related by The Primary Key
(PERSONNEL_ID) in the Teachers table (Called PERSONNEL_LISTS) and
MT_ID in the COURSES TABLE. I don't want the MT_ID to be displayed
on the details page: I want the teachers first and last name.

Hotsync problem - hard drive crash reset everytime I sync w/ computer

Hello, I have read all or many of the forums and I still have not been able to fix my problem
Everytime I sync w/ my computer (windows XP pro) I have to reset my Zire 71 PALM. When I go to the PALM folder on my computer, it does not have a user name identified I tried to uninstall and re-install but, the same thing happens. I tried to turn all of the conduits off except calendar, contacts and memos oh yes and to do but, the same programs keep re-installing themselves in my word to do and driving directions and then jump to you have to reset the hand held.
My hard drive crashed and this has happened since I had to retriev all of the data that I could from the crash and noted that a lot of my contact informationwas gone and older deleted contacts re-appeared, dont know if this has any bearing on the issue or not. I am sorry that I could not find my answer in the forum and I hope someone can help me.

Thank you for your reply however, I tried this and it did not work. The first time it did not ask me to reset the unit but, the second time I tried to sync it did ask me to reset the unit. It also re-installed all of the applications like word to go, sheet to go and street finder along with the directions that were saved to different areas.
Any other suggesstions?

Itunes never finishes sync

I have been having this problem with my iPod Photo for the past year or so.
I have 8400 songs (36.8 Gb) in iTunes v 7.4.3.1
Whenever I plug in my iPod Photo, it says "do not disconnect" and iTunes says "Syncing iPod. Do not disconnect."
These messages never go away. I have left the ipod connected for up to a WEEK at a time and the message never goes away.
I thought this was iPod related, but then I bought a newer ipod (80Gb iPod classic) and I have the same problem with that unit too.

When I am syncing my iPhone 4s it's getting to step 6 out of 6 and then saying that it's "waiting for changes to be applied" and then it just stops and never finishes syncing.

I also have a new mac book pro. I bought it specifically for this reason. I wanted to make using my devices as easy and streamlined as possible.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

Just for the record: now my other favorite podcast says it can't play. Stoopid. I'm cut off from my favorite content.

I am having the same issue on "There is no indication that syncing calendars is even an option in iTunes, and there used to be! (not happy right now)"
My MacBook Pro running on OS X 10.9.1 won't even sync calendar with my iPhone right now.
