Centro Keypad freezes

Hi, Ive got my new centro unlocked GSM and am having a lot of prblems with its keypad (all the buttons from the screen down) spontaneously freezing. Though the centre button of the five way navigator does seem to respond under certain conditions. When the screen turns off, be it during pTunes playback or power saving then any associated button opens up the respective application perfectly but then nothing works. I can only turn the screen on using the red button but not off. And this problem goes away just as spomtaneously as it comes and it is quite frankly ruining my day. Anyone got a solution to this?

Well after the issue listed above another issue presented itself. The keypad backlight started blinking with a frequency of about 1Hz and simultaneous fluctuations on the top edge pixel display were there as well. So i placed it like this for one day to completely drain the unit and it's secondary backup. After that everything went back to normal and evenm the hard reset is working fine. I am convinced the problem was intrinsic and hardware related since after the drain everything went completely back to normal. I would try to drain the battery after backing up your RAM. Hope it helps.

Keypad freezing and showing symbols

I have a blackberry 8520 and it suddenly just freezes particularly when i use the letters T and O. a set of symbols begin to appear where the letter T or O was typed and then the phone freezes. After multiple times pulling out the battery, it finally works, and then freezes again. The keypad and trackpad do not respond, unless heavily pressed on. WHY is this happenening out of the blue? My phone has never been near any sources of liquid and the only pressure applied to it is when my phone is in my pants pocket.
Please can someone tell me how to get rid of this.
I went to a store and they performed a master reset. How do you perform this reset on the 5.O software? ( im not talking about a memory wipe,im talking about restoring the phone back to how it originally was)

I would recommend trying a Clean Reload of your OS using the DM and see if that gets it.

N97 unlocking keypad freezes

Hey
Just wondering if anyone has a similar problem with their N97. When I go to unlock my keypad with the slide device on the site my phone will often completely freeze up and I will have to remove the battery. This has become rather annoying now. Does anyone have a similar problem or have any advice?

Keypad freezing and unlock screen freezing also complete freezing in texts and Internet and then kicking me back to main screen

The keypad an unlock screen will freeze completely and I have to turn off my phone to unfreeze also when in a text or on the Internet it will freeze and kick me out of what I am in and go to the main screen. This happens multiple times a day an the phone is brand new. It's completely updated and I exit out of running apps all the time and hook I up to iTunes

Try to reset the device by pressing the Sleep/Wake button and Home Button at the same time for ten seconds until the Apple Logo appears. Note: No data will be lost

Centro Keypad Frozen - Help!

I have a Centro with Verizon... I went to make a call today and keypad was frozen. No buttons work. However touch screen does work. Tried to hotsynk and nothing happened. Tried hard reset and when asked "erase all data?" palm ring dosnt work so i cant press up to choose yes or no.
please advise or point me in the right direction.

I'm out of ideas. Since you can't do a Hard Reset, you can't determine if it's a software problem. If the phone is under warranty, I'd return it ASAP to Verizon.
I would have suggested downloading the "Hard Reset" program from palmpowerups.com, but you can't Hotsync... BTW, what happens when you try to HotSync? Since you can still use the screen, what happens when you Open the Hotsync app, and tap the big Hotsync icon in the middle? What happens when you tap the Hotsync button on the cable?
Can you get to the Prefs icon and check all the Keyguard settings?

Sprint Centro keypad backlight is not working

Everything eles works on my centro however except for the keypad backlight i,ve made the adjustments in the prefference app and no luck so i,ve moved to the next step a soft reset the same prob then to a hard reset and then a factory reset i,ve pulled all 3rd party apps off the phone and removed them from my backup folder and refformated my 1gb micro sd card still no backlight on my centro so i,m at the end of my rope.if i can,t fix it i just won,t buy another centro or any palm product so someone please help me

SUPER WEIRD: Keyboard's number keypads FREEZES Mac/Apps

Hello all.
Keyboard is the new Apple flatten wired keyboard with number pad
All was well yesterday and today I discover this while using the following apps in their most order:
Entourage
After Effects
Photoshop
Other apps like Text Edit
At first I did not notice the weird oddity, in After Effects then when I start hitting the "0" key on the numeric keypad side to do a preview, nothing happens, and worse, the whole system/application freezes, have to force quit to "release" the system from freezing.
At this point, done Repair Permissions, even reset AE's preferences etc. Zap the PRam etc.
Then in the afternoon when I was in Photoshop, I was typing some numbers and decided to edit them, and use the number keys on the right, and when I start typing the first number, same thing, the app freeze and I can't even go to Finder, everything freeze. Again I have to force quit Photoshop to "release" the system
At this point, I exchange with an older white keyboard to do a test, and the same things happen.
So I can safely rule out keyboard malfunction
I think there is a Number Lock somewhere? The 'Clear' key?? Hit it a few times, but same problems.
I tried in Text Edit again, trying to enter some numbers using the number keypad and it freezes, it's like somehow changes the command and functions of the keypad, the blinking "I" cursor stays there, and hitting the number keys move the pointer one pixel in either directions.
Very weird. The numbers above the letters with the Fn keys are fine.
I seldom use the number keypad but sometimes I do... and since this is not a keyboard problem, and seems system wide... what could be the problem??

I have to really confess all these years I have been using Mac and I did not know this nor I have come across this.
Yes, I have gone inside the Universal settings and turn off Mouse keys and also uncheck the box about pressing the Opt key 5 times...
I wonder how come before this, which both the above settings must have been on, that I have never turn on or trigger this before? Must have somehow "manage" to press the Opt key 5 times consecutively.

Single row of keys on my Centro keypad not working. How to fix?

For a while a few keys on my Centro were becoming less responsive. Recently I realized that the unresponsive keys were all lined up vertically - "U," "J," and "N." Now I can't get any response from them at all. Is there a good way to try and fix this?

I just replied to a similar post and am experiencing the 'exact' same issue. My Centro's keys which are sporatically failing - Y H B . and on/off.
Any feedback on your issue? Did you try a hard reset?

Centro freezing on incoming calls - solution

My simple solution for incoming call freezing problem. I have an unlocked Centro on O2 Ireland.
My Centro was freezing on 1 in 3 incoming calls.
I changed the Prefs thus:
Keyguard: Disable touchscreen when: [X] Incoming calls received
Hands-Free: [ ] Always route call to Hands-Free
This has worked for 11 incoming calls in a row. I'll try & get back with more results.

My solution could have been more clear:

Centro 64 bit bluetooth sync problem

Hi, I searched forum but did not find answer to my specific problem. I just got new computer with Win 7 64 bit so USB cable can not be used to sync my Centro. Added a BT dongle and both the BT software and Centro can "see" each other but Centro either freezes or gives error when I try to sync. Problem seems to be which comm port I am setting up. I have tried to set up a virtual comm port but the BT software seems to only accept comm 40 which is not an option with HotSync manager. Also, I do not see Bluetooth as an option in the hotsync setup.
Any thoughts, links, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Nokia c3 keypad

my nokia c3 keypad is not working, i may have got it wet, i don't know, but itll turn on, and if i've taken the battery out, itll let me set the date and time, but once i get passed that stage, itll just stay on the homescreen and buzzes when calls and txts come through but the keypad freezes. it'll let me also turn it off but other than that nothing. I dont know what to do? it seems weird the keypad will work for turning it on/off and numbers(date and time) until i get to the home screen....

Have you updated your phone to the latest firmware available for your device? To do so, check for updates in either Nokia Suite or on your phone itself. Also try restoring the phone to factory settings after performing the update. If either of these still do not work, then it may be a hardware problem, and you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to investigate.

Centro and Garmin 760 Bluetooth problem

I am having an issue with centro and Garmin Nuvi 760 Bluetooth compatiblity. I am able to make a connection and use the devices, but the Centro frequently freezed with the screen on and none of the buttons operational, requiring a soft reset. Anyone know why this might be?

Galaxy S4 Freezes, drains and overheats

Hi,
I have my S4 for about 6 months now. It overheats when I talk more than 10 mins, and when GPS is on, so navigation will be annoying and have to cool it down with AC to avoid it shut down. Then the screen freezes, the keypad freezes and it's being very disruptive. The worse thing is the battery so I miss half a day sometimes if no plug is around or without a portable charger. Before this, I had a S3 and it was perfect. I wish I have never upgraded...Any help or sggestions? I went to a VW store and they told me to uninstall Viber?

Are your apps up to date? How much do you have running in the background? Any LTE/Data network heavy services?
I would use an app called CPU-Z and throw it into multi-window mode to see if any particular app causes the CPU usage and all clock speeds of the cores to spike up drastically. Also, if you have any games that are sent to the background (home button) rather than closed (back button), this may be a drain on the battery.
Also, if you have any task killers installed, please remove them.

Nokia N97 - faultiest phone ive ever had

Hi guys im new to the forum and its interesting to see just how many people are suffering with issues with their n97. How Nokia have managed to release a phone as buggy as this is unbelievable. I will never buy another Nokia, there are issues with EVERY software update, alarm doesnt work, keypad freezes, unlock/lock doesnt work, cant open SMS, memory always saying it is full. How is it possible to release such a bad phone? Why are they still not capable of fixing the problems?

Nokia are defently one of the best companys to follow up their phones. Samsung and SE does hardly make updates at all.
Around on different forums you will find people complaining about any phone on the market. Today I read a few posts about the desire freezing and rebooting and peeps wishing they had never bought it.
If you buy a HTC with WM for instance, you will likely feel that it's a xtremely heavy and have a lot of wierd bugs or are non userfriendly. - Giving some time on XDA dev. site, you will find ways to tweak and do whatever you like with it, but it needs some effort.
I have an Iphone my self, which works flawlessly, but I have friends who also have a lot of problems with theirs. - Freezes, reboots, and gpu burn to death.
What I'm saying is that there are faults and issues with every brand and every model.
Nokia sells a enormous amount of devices every year, from cheap basic phones to expensive N and E series devices. Apple have one phone to work with which the majority won't afford. Iphone is great, but Nokia is "bleep" great too.
Take the HTC HD2 which has extremely great hardware, unfortunately a lot of users have now gone almost a year with problems of sms's beeing stuck in the outbox... I've read a "few" comments about that for sure - It was far more expensive than the n97...
Don't misunderstand me, I know that the n97 has been a pain for a lot of users, and I do understand your frustration, but the point is, you find it everywhere... Dell computers, HP computers, gps's, phones, tv's.
Now, if you want to, I and many more here would like to help you with your issues, and perhaps get it to work like it has worked a few months!?
You say it has been working for a few months... Do you remember doing anything to it right before it started to misbehave? - Installing any 3rd party apps, deleteing anything, change settings etc?
