Centro to Vista/ Outlook 03 calnder sync problems

Recently purchased a Palm Centro from Sprit.
Trying to sync with Outlook 03 and everyone crosses over except the calender seeing as this is the reason I bought this phone it kinda sucks.
I've tried useing the Palm Desktop software that came with the phone and that works just fine.
I've also installed the sync application on my laptop runnin XP prof. and Outlook 03 and everything worked fine there to >.<
So I'm not sure what's going on here anymore D-; Vista is 32bit so.. yeah.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If everything but Calendar is syncing then most likely it's either a calendar database issue or something is interferring with the Outlook Calendar conduit. Just to confirm, Calendar works on PC 2 to Outlook?

  • MacBook Air w/Outlook For Mac Sync Problems

I recently bought a MacBook Air (had a PC) along w/Office for Mac
I transferred my .pst to my new MacBook and lost 25% of my contacts but have them backed up on my Blackberry
I tried to sync my BB to my Outlook and they won't talk, even my Calendar or Tasks
I also noticed that even w/Sync they don't speak either
I want to know how to get my contacts onto my Office Outlook from BB so when I get my iPhone4S I can sync all my contacts and Outlook calendar
    Can someone provide some guidance?
    thank you,
    Rick in Az

    Hi Rick,
This is probably your best bet - http://www.markspace.com/
I've never had good luck syncing Blackberry devices with OS X, especially with Entourage (the now discontinued Mac predecessor to Outlook). Missing Sync has never given me any issues/problems in the 4+ years that I've been using it with clients.

  • Still Having Outlook 03 Contact Sync Problems

    OK first the baseline information.
    Systems:
    iPhone 3G 2.0 software
    iTunes 7.7
Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Outlook 2003 Service Pack 3 (Office Professional)
    Other Considerations:
Always connected to Exchange server when trying to sync.
Contacts folder only exists on Exchange server (i.e. nothing in local .pst)
Have deleted the offline file (.ost) and had Outlook recreate.
Do not have and other "INFO" in iTunes selected to sync except Contacts (i.e. no calendar).
    Issue:
Sync starts but just goes on forever until I get the error message that the Outlooksyncclient.exe has failed. No contacts are sync'ed. I have been using and syncing my iTouch for a year now and have had no problems. Now the iTouch will not sync too (same problem). I tried to sync my bookmarks from IE and this was also hanging until I (in the middle of the iTunes syncing process) when to the task manager and killed the Outlooksyncclient.exe program. After I did this, the syncing continued with the bookmarks being successfully sync. Of course, not the Contacts.
I have reset the sync history and this has done nothing. I'm at my wits end on this problem. I am concern about uninstalling iTunes because I have over 300 full CD's loaded and I can't afford the time to reload all of them again. This clearly can not be the problem associated with recurring calendar items, since I am not trying to sync the calendar at all. I have not tried to put any other sync'ed information on the iPhone other than the Contacts and Bookmarks. But not having my contacts (and in the future my calendar) is a big issue.
One other possible consideration is the fact that I have the e-mail on the iPhone set up to pull messages from my AT&T web based Worldnet account. This has been working fine, but I don't know if that would impact the Outlooksyncclient.exe program. I do not have an Exchange e-mail account defined because my companies Exchange servers are not set up to operate and exchange information to these types of devices (don't think this matters, but figure I would mention it).
I would really appreciate any direction/help on this issue. Syncing my contacts is critical to having my iPhone useful. I have already entered 80+ entries into its contact list, but this is not a sustainable approach.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Ernie

BTW, no other 3rd party software loaded, and I've double checked the Outlook e-mail COM Add-Ins and Add-In Manager to confirm this.

  • 3GS, Windows 7, Outlook 2007, Calendar Syncing Problems

As above, Sync completes with no issues, Contacts all sync with 2007 fine, but Calendar entries are not syncd either way.
Info Tab in iTunes 10 (latest version just downloaded)has tick in the box to say sync caledars
    Please Help!

I had this same problem. The Genius Bar at the Apple store told me the problem was with Outlook. I upgraded my computer with Microsoft Office 2010 and my problem was solved. Fortunately for me I was able to get this upgrade at a steep discount thru an employee discount program. Others won't be so lucky and this "solution" could prove to be rather expensive.
I say this problem was caused by Apple failing to maintain backward compatibility with existing platforms that their IPhone customers are currently using. After all, not all IPhone users ONLY use Apple computers and this problem only occurred after updating the software on my phone to version 4.2.1 and I Tunes to version 10 on my computer.

  • BB-Outlook two-way syncing problem

I can't figure out how to get information entered in Outlook (2003) onto my handheld device (7100t). I'm using a replacement computer because mine crashed. This one already had Outlook and had been used by the previous owner. I deleted his information and then configured DM (4.5) to take info from my BB to Outlook which went quite well. Trouble is, now I can't get any info entered in Outlook to sync to the BB. I've tried to find the sync "instructions" in DM but I can't find the option that lets me tell it to sync in both directions. I'm sure it's something simple I'm overlooking but I'm terribly frustrated. Any suggestions?

Contacted Bell Mobility support, who advised to wipe the Blackberry. This resolved the issue.

  • New iTunes, same sync problems with Vista

    Hi
I got really excited when I saw in the fixes for the latest iTunes 8.1 for Windows that they had fixed sync problems with iPhones. They haven't!
On Vista Ultimate the sync has always been a problem, with either OutlookSyncClient or AppleMobileSync (or both) frequently crashing. With the previous couple of versions of iTunes, in my case, it has happened every third or fourth sync. Now with the new version it is almost every sync. It took me five disconnect and reconnect attempts and a couple of reboots to succcessfully sync this morning.
I've tried every fix I can find on line. I read that the Outlook sync problem was caused by an incompatibility with pst files that were not unicode. Oddly, I wasn't supposed to be able to sync with an old pst at all, but it did work erratically. Converting my pst to unicode didn't make any difference.
With the AppleMobileSync problem, I read that completely removing all Apple software in a particular order, restarting each time between removals, then clean reinstalling, should solve the problem. It didn't.
Now the problem is even worse and I'm at my wits end on it. Come on Apple, get a grip!
If anyone can shed any light on this I would be really grateful!

  • Vista & Outlook 2007: Sync with second XP & Outlook 2003 - The passed buffer is too small for the reply data

    Dear Community,
I'm synchronising my T3 with two PCs. One with Vista & Outlook 2007 and the other with XP & Outlook 2003. Both with the latest conduit & Hotsync Manager versions installed for each OS based on the availability on the Palm Website.
My problem is that when I synchronise the T3 with either PC and then try to sync it with the other I'm receiving the following error message for the Calendar:
    Outlook Calendar
The passed buffer is too small for the reply data.
    OLERR:0D-0008
    OLERR:0D-0004
    OLERR:0D-0001
    - Slow Sync
    Outlook Calendar synchronization failed
The second time the sync is successful but takes a long time and the actual problem is that it creates duplicates for records previously changed on either PC - but with a sync in between those changes, i.e. no conflict in the sense that the same record was changed in both environments since the last sync. I have configured the conflict handling to establish a hierarchy PC1-T3-PC2 but try to avoid them by synchronising as often as possible.
Has anyone come across that problem or any ideas? Can you somehow adjust the buffer size for the sync? I have been using Lotus Organiser & then the various Outlook versions for a number of years.
    Thank you
    Rainer

As they say on TV, "Doh"!!!
I figured out the problem. I started the Sync tool, selected "Settings", then "Mcrosoft Outlook" tab and then "Select Folders" button. I browsed to the proper folders in Outlook (Calendar, Tasks, etc). Select OK enough times and retried the sync.
    It worked.

  • Outlook Express and Ovi Suite syncing problems

    Hi,
I just installed the Ovi Suite for my new N5230 phone.
I tested syncing contacts for the first time from Outlook Express to the phone and my account at Ovi.com via Ovi Suite. All went fine.
However, I undertook a major edit of all my Outlook Express contacts data (thankfully backing it up afterwards on my PC) but when I went to use the sync fucntion in Ovi Suite again I was not given an option of (a) whether to merge or replace or (b) where to start sync from if not a merge. Consequently my phone and Ovi.com contacts lists filled up with duplicates through a botched merge. Where a contact was deleted in Outlook Express no Sync Conflict message appeared to ask me if I wanted to delete the same entry in Ovi.
When I deleted all the contacts in Ovi Suite and tried to sync again my Outlook Express contacts list was deleted! Thankful for the backup before I started this waste of a Sunday afternoon.
So basically, is it the case that if I want to use Ovi Suite and Ovi.com for contacts then I have to use Ovi.com as the master list and not my contacts list in Outlook Express on my PC? If the software simply merges data all the time how the heck am I meant to delete a contact from all three storage areas?
    Any advice appreciated.
    Bill

Well for anyones information. Syncing with ovi suite.
I have successfully got ovi suite working.
For those with problems this is what I did. I have vista.
    1. I uninstalled all programs from nokia.( ovi suite using the online uninstaller. Pc suite using the installed uninstall program.
then i ran pc suite cleaner.
    2. using search for nokia then using advanced search for all nokia folders remaining (important to use advanced search or you will miss some of the folders and files. Then deleted them. Some you may have to change the user permissions to delete them. It is important to delete these as they hold data and i think might be one of the conflicts stopping sync working.
    3. Delete any remaining files except bookmarks pics etc.
now there should be nothing on the pc.
Then download and run ccleaner. Cleaner and registry.
    Reboot pc
    Then download ovi suite.
A wizard might pop up but if not start ovi suite and connect your phone. I turned bluetooth off and used usb.
The phone will download settings. You can select pc suite on the sync settings in the phone. not ovi.com.
the program is good and worth the trouble. It saves your messages and contacts as well as syncing contacts and calendar with your required program, also bookmarks can be saved with firefox and explorer in your phone folder in favourites. It creates the folder. To transfer bookmarks from pc to phone ensure they are in this folder.
This took me a lot of reboots and time with a few calls to nokia and i am still waiting for their callback!!!
It also works fine on my xp computer too.

  • Window Vista Outlook Calendar Sync Add-ins disabled tips

If using Windows Vista and having trouble syncing calendar, follow Apple's instructions for disabling add-ins.... BUT ..... run Outlook as an Administrator. If you can't remove some of the add-ins running as an Admin will solve your problem.

Try this. Forgive me as I am not at my work computer but expericenced exactly the same problems.
Go to edit your email account and assuming you are using outlook 2003 since I don't 2007 you will need to find the dialog box that says something to the effect of send your information to your personal documents. It is a drop down menu within settings. You will then need to close outlook and open it again. Try syncing your iphone and this worked like a charm for me.
To sum it up your mail, contacts, and calendar entries are curetnly being stored on your work server. Iphone doesn't like that. When you tell outlook to store these items on your personal documents they then are stored on your hard drive and Iphone loves that. When I first tried doing this I noticed that I didn't have the option to send these items to my persnal files so if that is the case for you you will need to create it by clicking add and just pointing to personal files.
    I hope this helps.

  • Outlook Sync Problem with Torch 9800

I have always problems to Sync my 9800 to Outlook, I know this problem is caused because for some reason son calendar entries with Attendees field starting  ""< fails, and I get the message: Error encountered. Error Code 0x80040fb3. Check Documentation,  I normally  delete this Outlook entree and Sync and problem solved, however deleting the entree is not a acceptable solution, when there is several entries with the same problem.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
Some user suggest to delete all calendar entries and make a new Sync, this also works but takes a lot of time, and I wonder if this problem is already solved.

  • Outlook 2003 + iPhone calendar sync problem solved

Here is how I solved my sync problem. Seems a lot of people have the same problem here with Outlook sync suddenly not working after it worked fine for a long time.
I've had Outlook 2003 calendar sync with my iPhone for a few month without any problem, but a few days ago the sync suddenly stopped without any error message. iTunes Diagnostic found no problem and I followed all the steps that Apple outlines to fix the problem but nothing worked (TS2776).
As Apple asked to, I created a new user account on my Windows machine and setup a few test calendar entries to sync with my iPhone. That all worked fine.
So I did what Apple doesn't tell you, and I copied my original Outlook Data file (.PST) over to my new user account and tried to sync that one. Now this didn't work. So I knew the problem lies somewhere in my PST file.
I have then tried to create a new one from scratch in my original Windows account, and copy all the data over. Again, it didn't work. So I emptied the file again, and copied all my calendar entries over to the new PST file in batches (first 10, then another 10, etc).
What I found at the end is that one single calendar entry I created a few days ago caused my sync to stop working. Once I removed this entry, everything worked fine again. Don't ask me what was wrong with it (I made a backup just in case Apple wants to see it), but now everything works again.
If you want to save some time to find which one it is, you may start deleting entries that you created just recently before it stopped working.
    Hope that helps.

Hi im having the same problem. I use outlook 2003 on windows xp and until recently my sync (using usb) was working fine. Now it would seem that calendar items are no longer syncing. can you give any further details of the calendar entry which was causing your problem? im wondering if it was added on a certain date perhaps.
I am running the inbox repair tool to see if my pst file has any problems but would appreciate any other help in the mean time.
    Cheers

  • IPhone Sync Problems with VISTA After iTunes Upgrade to 7.4

Upon upgrading to iTunes 7.4 I was unable to sync my Outlook calendar or contacts to the iPhone. Called Apple Support that they seemed to know nothing about this problem general problem despite all of the discussions on this and many other tech. boards.
After being told remove and reinstall iTunes and Outlook, set-up a new user account, etc... (none of which worked) I finally concluded that perhaps the .pst file being used by outlook was simply incompatible with iTunes for some reason (e.g. unsupported recurring calendar items).
SOLUTION: Create a new outlook .pst data file. Once created, open up that new file along with the defective .pst file. Then, simply change the view of calendars and contacts in your old calendar such that you can see all of the items in a list. Highlight the items you want to keep and simply click-and-drag them to the nes .pst file. This solves all of the sync. problems I had post-7.4 upgrade. It takes less than 3 minutes to complete this painless fix.
This was so annoying for me that I'd be happy to help someone complete this simple task if they need help. < Edited by Host, for your protection, no personal information please. >

Then it would appear to be an issue with your router. What router? Model? Is the firmware up to date?

  • Hot Sync problems with Windows Vista using a Tungsten E2

Need Help solving a hot sync problem. Have a Tungsten E2, about a year old. Use Windows Vista OS. Can not sync to desktop. It worked fine for awhile then stopped sync'ing. Have reinstalled Palm Software, Have downloaded Palm 6.2. Have deleted all 3rd party apps,,,and their back up files. Particulary,,,,Epocrates apps, Took over my PDA. Installations and updates gets to synchronizing Calender and 'freezes' have left it on overnight figurng lots of data,,,,no progress. I need help. I really enjoy using this equipment.  I use my PDA for all my scheduling of work shifts appts etc. I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks in advance. Mike.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Hi..  Welcome to the Palm forums.  So if I am understanding you when you try to sync it goes to calendar and freezes and never completes the sync.  That being the case the first thing you want to do is go to the conduits and turn off calendar then sync and all should be successful, except calendar will not sync.  What this indicates is that you have corrupted data in your calendar, most likely on the E2.  Do a google search on your computer for a utility 'dbfixit' and download it to your computer.  Extract it so you have the dbfixit.prc file and double click on it to put it in the installer.  Then, insuring the calendar conduit is off, sync to install it.  Once installed run dbfixit.  This utility is free or can be purchased for (I believe) 12.95.  The free version will search for corruption and problems let you know where they are and you will have to manually fix or delete them.  If you register it, when you run the utility it will find the errors and fix them as well.  Once all errors are fixed, turn the calendar conduit back on and you should be able to sync.
