CER Support for 15.X IOS

We are running two separate CER clusters version 7.0.3.20000-2 and 8.5.1.10000-7.  We are putting in new 4510R-E switches in a new building with Sup7E and 15.X IOS.  CER will poll the switches via SNMP but does not populate CER with the switchport description, etc.  My question is: is there no support for 15.X code on these switches?  We have a major issue if that is the case.
Thoughts anyone?

I am having the same problem...  Is there an update of CER 8.5 that will support the SUP7Es?

  • Any support for SecureSocket on iOS in AIR 3.2?

    Hi there,
I'm developing an energy metering application where we currently support web browsers running Flash Player 11. The plan is to support the applicaton also on mobile devices and I was glad to see all the improvements in CS 5.5 for targeting both Android and iOS devices. One problem though, we are using the SecureSocket class for secure communication towards a server. Works perfect on Android devices, already with AIR 2.6. However, there doesn't seem to be any support on iOS for SecureSocket. Even with the latest AIR 3.1 release the .isSupported property returns a brutal FALSE when checked.
Is there any information available on any time schedule for a SecureSocket class for iOS? I'm very much facing a dead end here, I have a perfect solution but can't make it work on the most important mobile platform for our customer (both iPhone and iPad).
I would appreciate any information you may have in this matter.

We added DHE support in ASA 8.4.4 (AFAIR) 9.1.2, but it's still not in on Anyconnect even in 3.1, at least the internal enhancement request is not fulfilled.
If I may know, where is this quesiton coming from? We added Suite-B support to both AC and ASA (and IOS), I have not seen DHE mandated anywhere (granted I have limited visibility).

  • Bfd support for vrrp interface tracking query !

    Hi All
I have a requirement in my typical LAN scenario whereby my LAN server connects in a dual homed fashion to two different LAN switches from a third party vendor. We are using vrrp for the server LAN. The two 3rd party vendor switches are uplinked via L3 links to two c6500. We are tracking the uplink interfaces under vrrp such that no traffic blackholing occurs if the uplink connectivity from master is broken. Now customer has asked to use bfd support in the vrrp uplink interface tracking which is supported by the vendor switches. This topic is confusing to me as what configuration would be required on c6500 to achieve this as the requirement is not to configure bfd for routing protocol but for vrrp interface tracking. As per my understanding BFD works only in integration with routing protocols and there would be no session formed by just enabling BFD under Interface Config. If anyone has any prior experience with implementing such setup please guide me on what needs to be done from c6500 side to achieve this. We are using static routes on c6500 for server LAN reachability and default route on vendor switches towards junos but no bfd for static routing.
    Regards Varma

    Hi Varma,
your understanding is correct, initially we were supporting BFD in conjunction with BGP/IGPs. Nowadays there's BFD support for VRRP in IOS XR and BFD support for HSRP in IOS. Since you're in multivendor environment, I don't think these options are feasible. You may instead apply subsecond hello timers in VRRP, provided you don't have lots of instances, you should not face a performance burden.

    Ivan.

  • My Apple ID is claimed to be not supported on my iPad ios 8.1.1, when attempting to sign in to iCloud ( settings/icloud). The address works fine for iTunes and for iCloud from my MacBook.

i Cannot sign in to iCloud on my iPad. It has the most recent iOS.  The error message says unsupported  id.  However this Apple ID works in iTunes on the same ipad and works fine logging into iCloud from my MacBook.

    Hi, erviv.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are receiving a unsupported Apple ID error when you try to sign in to iCloud.  Here is some information that you may find helpful with this.
I get an “Unsupported Apple ID” error when I try to sign in to iCloud from my iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Depending on how you created your Apple ID, you may not be able to create an iCloud account with your current Apple ID. If your Apple ID works with the iTunes Store, App Store, Game Center, FaceTime, or other Apple services, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. Also, if you created your Apple ID while you applied for a job at jobs.apple.com, your Apple ID should work for iCloud. If you can't use your Apple ID with any Apple services, it might not be compatible with iCloud. Contact iCloud Support for assistance.

  • Can you drop iOS 4 support for an app already in the App Store? What iOS version is good to target?

Now that AIR supports the MinimumOSVersion key, apps can set a specific minium version they will support. It wasn't available before, so it ended up in the app store with the default of 4.0.
Any device that AIR supported had to have ARMv7 anyways and I believe all ARMv7 iOS devices can update to at least 5.1.1, so would it be an issue with apple to drop iOS 4 support? Any device that could get the app before can upgrade to iOS 5+ for free to support it.
Only a small portion of people are still running iOS 4, and I get the feeling that most of those are folks with ancient ARMv6 devices that can't upgrade past iOS 4 and could never use the app anyways due to ARMv6. So why bother with testing for iOS 4 and possibly having to give iOS 4 related tech support?
If supporting 5+, is it a good idea to target 5.0 or 5.0.1 or 5.1 or 5.1.1 or what?

Any of the non-user generated resources is in the tmp or Cache folders (which are not backed up) on mine, so that shouldn't be an issue in my case.
I looked at the wiki for iOS 5 and i didn't see any developer-related features other than that 'do not back up' thing that were added between sub-versions of iOS 5, so maybe I should target 5.0?
I'm still wondering, how do you handle dropping older versions of iOS? Surly developers can't be expected to maintain support for discontinued versions of iOS forever just because their app has been around for awhile? Apps eventually need to advance and use new OS features and require performance of current devices. Just set the MinimumOSVersion key to 5.0 or whatever and that's it?

  • IOS support for Flash Builder 4.5.1

I am getting the following message when I try to export a releae build to iOS using Flash Builder 4.5.1:
This platform is not currently supported for Flex Mobile projects
I have tried running the update again and gives me the update was successful message, but I still don't have iOS support.
I did update using the Eclipse updater and was unable to open Flash Builder, but since resolved that issue. I wonder if I need to reinstall Flash Builder and reapply the update or if there is an easier fix.

I just created a project with Adobe Launchpad (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/airlaunchpad/), and it looked like I setup all the options for iOS, but when I go to run configurations and try and deploy to an iOS device I'm getting the same problem: "This platform is not currently supported for Flex Mobile projects"
    Anyone know why?

  • The version of iOS on does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK

Getting this error message as of this morning: The version of iOS on “iPad” does not match any of the versions of iOS supported for development with this installation of the iOS SDK. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below, or update to the latest version of the iOS SDK. I've downloaded the latest SDK and gone through the usual turn off and turn on again for iPad and computer, removed and reinstalled the iPad from Organizer and have no idea how to make apps build now. I was prompted to update the iphone too but there's no way I'm updating it if this issue can't be resolved.

Okay these are the steps I took to solve the problem - they may not be the right ones for you but they've solved the problem and saved time hunting for some other solution. Firstly I changed my MAC system to Lion with the £20 download, then I deleted the old Xcode and installed the new version that is app based and doesn't support Snow Leopard, then all was well. I can now update my xcode via the app which is quicker and more logical and can update my iPhone rather than chug along avoiding updates as I need to update my existing apps on the app store and upload a new one.

  • Is there any planned support for the "do not back up" extended attribute for iOS

Starting in iOS 5.0.1, Apple has introduced a new "do not back up" extended file attribute that will allow an app to store downloaded data into the application folder.  Is there any planned support for setting this attribute within an AIR application or is there currently a way to set this attribute using the existing AIR SDK.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm wondering too. Without it, we can't build any apps that download content without the risk of the content being deleted.
Here's the background before Apple introduced the new "do not back up" attribute:
    http://www.marco.org/2011/10/13/ios5-caches-cleaning
Fortunately, Apple addressed it after that blog post in 5.0.1. See bullet #4 here, quoted below
    https://developer.apple.com/icloud/documentation/data-storage/
Q:  My app has a number of files that need to be stored on the device permanently for my app to function properly offline. However, those files do not contain user data and don't need to be backed up. How should I store those files in iOS 5?
A: Starting in iOS 5.0.1 a new "do not back up" file attribute has been introduced allowing developers to clearly specify which files should be backed up, which files are local caches only and subject to purge, and which files should not be backed up but should also not be purged. In addition, setting this attribute on a folder will prevent the folder and all of its contents from being backed up.
Important: The new "do not back up" attribute will only be used by iOS 5.0.1 or later. On iOS 5.0 and earlier, applications will need to store their data in <Application_Home>/Library/Caches to avoid having it backed up. Since this attribute is ignored on older systems, you will need to insure your app complies with the iOS Data Storage Guidelines on all versions of iOS that your application supports.
Now we just need Adobe to support the attribute in the AIR SDK. What do you say Adobe?

  • When will we get support for equations in Keynote for iOS?

I was delighted to get an iPad a year ago, thinking that now I would not have to lug the laptop around to scientific meetings and lecture halls. But when I downloaded my carefully prepared Keynote presentation to the iPad, I learned that Keynote on the iPad does not support equations. So, back to the laptop, copy all the equations and re-insert them as uneditable PDFs.
But that's clearly only a work-around. If I need to change anything, it's back to the laptop for editing. And for a course consisting of a dozen lectures and a total of a thousand or so equations, the only sensible option is to lug around the laptop.
Surely (I thought) this is just an oversight that will be remedied in the next release of Keynote for iOS. But I've waited through several new releases, and still haven't seen support for equations added.
Not only that, but many quite ordinary fonts are not available in Keynote for iOS and there seems to be no way of adding them.

  • Flash Builder 4.5 support for Apple iOS

    Hi All,
Its really good to hear that FB 4.5 has come with support for Apple iOS. Out of my curiosity I tried downloading the latest FB 4.5 trial version and create a sample mobile app , but to my surprise 'Apple Platform' was not listed under 'New Flex Mobile Project' wizard and appears only under 'Actionscript Project', Can anybody there help me in craeting a flex mobile project for iOS?
    Thanks.

    Dear Flexer,
At this time, you can only create an AS project for iOs.
I heard, that whis realease of Flash Builder 4.5 you can create mxml

  • HT201210 Why iphone 3g has no support for ios 5 + ..please allow us to download..

Why iphone 3g has no support for ios 5 + ..please allow us to download..
Please do anyhow. .anything ...you are the creater of apple.. I know you can do it. .please do anything that iphone 3g will support ios 5 ro greater than that..

The 3G was discontinued over 2yrs ago.
The 3GS was only discontinued about a month ago.
Apple made the decision that the 3G would not get anything newer than 4.2.1 because of reasons only they know.
    Griping about it is pointless.
Speculating about why is against the terms of use of these forums.
The device is ancient... either accept that it will never get an update and live with it or buy something newer.

  • Support for iOS devices

I would like support for backup of my iOS devices in my TimeMachine.
I would love the same functions I have for OSX to be available to my iPad & iPhone or att least single full backup over wi-fi.
Am I the only one that finds the lack of this functionality kind of weird?

iOS devices back up to iTunes on a computer....or....to iCloud.
It is not possible to backup an iOS device directly using Time Machine, but if you backup your iOS device to a Mac, and then use Time Machine to back up the Mac, the backups of the IOS devices in iTunes are backed up using Time Machine.
So, you could say that Time Machine will indirectly back up an IOS device.
For more information on iOS backups, please see this Apple support document:
