Certain Albums Have Songs Not In The Right Order...

I believe this is a bug from iTunes. Lately my songs from albums are having songs dis-located as having certain tracks in the beginning of the album instead of where they belong. The wierd thing is that it appears to be fine on iTunes but it's totally different on the iPod. A friend of mine is having the same issue. Any ideas? Is a fix coming?
Thanks.

disorder, lots of people are having this problem but no one in this forum that I've seen seems to have an answer. It's probably flat-out Apple's fault on this one. It appears that workarounds are the best it's going to be for now unless this gets addressed in a later issue of iTunes/iPod updates.
Meantime, here's a suggestion from a user, spitfire411 in another post:
"hi, I had the same problem but found an easy solution.
The problem is that with the new itunes, not only is there an "Artist" in the tag, there is also "Album Artist." If some songs in an album have values for "Album Artist" and some don't, your tracklist will be messed up on your ipod.
Simply add the "Album Artist" column to your iTunes browser by right clicking on the sorting columns (title, artist, time, etc.) and check "ALbum Artist." I found it useful to drag this column in between "Album" and "Artist."
If some songs in an album have include values for "Album Artist," either delete them or add to all, this should re-sort your tracklistings."
