Certain Devices failing during OS .wim deployment after upgrading to 2012 R2

We just upgraded to 2012 R2 and for some reason, now some of our newer machines goto BSD loop after the the apply drivers step.  I have re-imported all of the drivers for these machines into the driver database and driver packages and updated dist points
but still having the same problem.   Will not boot into OS in safe mode either.  I had to remove the HDD to retrieve the smsts logs which say the following: (thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated)

Dont look for WinPE drivers. WinPE is just a slimmed down version of the full OS.
http://foxdeploy.com/2013/10/02/differences-in-winpe-versions/
Since you are using WinPE 5.0 x64, you want Windows 8.1 x64 drivers.
What model are you trying to image? Are you sure drivers are needed at all? Can you boot up to WinPE 5.0 and get an IP?

  • Task sequence fails after upgrading to 2012 R2 and MDT 2013

After upgrading to 2012 R2, my task sequence fails after the Setup Windows and ConfigMGR & Restart Computer. Instead of continuing to run the task sequence and load up the MDT Toolkit Package, it just stops at the Windows 7 login screen.
Do I need to create new toolkit & settings packages with MDT 2013 settings? Or do I just need to create a new task sequence?
I can't figure out what log to look at on the VM that I am imaging. If someone can point it out maybe there's some useful information. Thanks.

It sounds a lot like that it could be failing at the client installation. Please take a look at the client installation logs.

Here are the log files from c:\windows\ccmsetup\logs .. I took a glance and things run with success 0 which should mean no error right? The system also has the client installed with the CU2 patch.

Searched a bit online and people are saying it's due to the incorrect boot image. I was using a WinPE 5.0 I created on this TS but I'm going to make another and see where it goes.

  • Teamed NICs no longer work after upgrade to 2012 R2

    Hi,
My Hyper-V installation on 2012 Data Centre used two teamed NICs as a Hyper-V virtual switch configured to connect to the external network.
After upgrading to 2012 R2 Data Centre I no longer have connectivity to the external network. VMs that use this switch no longer have network connectivity.
I've removed the switch and reconfigured but with no joy. I've also completely removed the Hyper-V role and reinstalled but again - no joy.
For the time being the NICs are configured as separate switches and all is OK.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Sean

  • Macbook won't respond until moved, especially during authentication. Continued after upgrade to Lion.

My Macbook won't respond until I physically pick it up and move it, especially during authentication. This continues after upgrade to Lion. How can I resolve this?

This is almost certainly a hardware problem, that will require the skills of a certified Apple repair shop to fix.

  • My Applet start failed due to security warning after upgrading java version

    Hi Team,
We have an application where we read the weight from the attached weighing Scale (Hardware device).
For this we use one Applet which runs and reads the data.
Now we upgraded the Java version from 1.6 to 1.7 and started encountering a security alert 'Running unsigned applications like this will be blocked in a future release because it is potentially unsafe and a security risk'.
Our application runs on a HTP port not on HTTPS because this is installed in client premise and no risk in opening HTTP port internally.
Could you please help us in resolving the issue. We don't want to see the alert even after upgrading the Java version.
    Thanks,

  • Failed to received any SMS after upgrade to OS6

Hi there, I wish somebody could help me on this, since I've been calling CELCOM few times already, but the problem still there.
3 days ago, i just upgrade my 9700 to OS6. Before upgrade, for SMS I've been use 3rd party apps : CRUNCHsms, After upgrade, seem like i received a few SMS since the notification at my BB screen showed it. But I cannot open the sms because it been said there that CRUNCHsms can't operate in OS6. So, i just removed the apps.
The issue here is, my phone still can't received any SMS even after i removed the CRUNCHsms apps. I've tried to send test sms to my own number and few of my friends, and what happen is, my friend can receive the sms from me, but my own phone cannot receive any sms. I tried to take out the simcard and put it to another phone, and It can work normally which is no problem with send-receive sms.
    - I can't received any sms but i can send sms, after i upgrade my bold 9700 to OS6.
I really wish that somebody can help me to solve this issue, since it has been 3 days i can't received any sms.
    thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello,
Have you checked your security settings? Crunch SMS automatically switches on your firewall to make sure it routes the SMS messages the correct way.
Go to Options>Security>Firewall and disable it, also make sure there are no ticks next to Text messages, PIN etc...
Then pull your battery out and it should resolve your issue
    Hope this helps

  • Failed to update superseded software after upgrade to R2

    Hi,
After I upgrade to R2, I'm having problems with updating superseded software(worked OK before in SP1).
Software Centre starts downloading the content from DP then errors out.
    The error message is this:
Had a look in the CCMcache. The newer version didn't get downloaded. Although during the downloading phase I can see temp folder got created and files were downloading into it, but all that got removed later. Also this is not a space issue since I have
    40G of cache space.
Installing the software without supersedence seems to be OK.
    Anyone having the similar issue?

  • SVN: Failed to load BDB error after upgrade...

During a recent system upgrade Subversion was upgraded from 1.6.3 to 1.6.4. After the upgrade I couldn't get to the repository through my web server. The log file has this error repeated: Failed to load module for FS type 'bdb'. Using svnadmin and svnlook gave the same errors.
I went back into /var/cache/pacman/pkg and reinstalled 1.6.3. After that everything was working fine.
Can anyone confirm? Should a bug report be opened?
Was this subversion 1.6.4 package compiled without BDB support? Was that intentional or an oversight?

I remember seeing warnings about bdb being not enabled when I was compiling subversion for the ruby-1.9 update so I never uploaded my version and asked the maintainer to look at it.  I guess the same warning was missed when updating to 1.6.4.  File a bug report.

  • CM 2012 R2 CU1 - Applications failing to install in TS after upgrade to R2 from SP1

    Hi,
We had a perfectly working TS in SP1.  We have upgraded to R2 CU1 and now we are seeing applications fail to download during a TS.  Not all applications are failing, and if we re-run the TS there is no consistency between which applications fail.
Content has been checked with the validation tool and the client version during the TS is R2 CU1.
The errors I am seeing in the logs are as follows:
    DataTransferService.log
    [CCMHTTP] ERROR: URL=https://xxx:443/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/Content_20447040-0e0e-4178-ad5f-8affb4c068ee.1, Port=443, Options=480, Code=12044, Text=ERROR_WINHTTP_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT_NEEDED

    Non-recoverable error retrieving manifest (0x80072f0c).
The app does not download and the installation is skipped.  This is a PKI environment, all certs are fine and these have not changed since the upgrade.  What I don't get is why some applications are okay and others are not.
    Any help appreciated...

I've tried adding comments to the application and to the deployment types within, still no luck.  For example appdiscovery.log showing:

  • Pictures taken during iOS 4 disappeared after upgrade to iOS 4.1

I have a iPhone 3G, and I upgraded to iOS 4 fairly soon after it came out. I took a bunch of pictures over the summer, and they are all on my computer (synced at least once), but I cannot view them on my iPhone - they show up as black boxes. When I start the "Albums" application, I get the message:
    iTunes Sync Needed
High resolution images synced via iTunes are missing. Connect your device to the computer you sync photos from and launch iTunes to sync them.
I have done this, I even created a special folder for them in iPhoto and tried to sync them back - with no success. Any thoughts on what is going on and what the above message means?
    Thanks.

The iPhone was not legitimately unlocked by the carrier
The iPhone was hacked to release the AT&T lock and updating it has relocked the iPhone

  • Can not deploy after upgrading application from workshop 8.1 to 9.2

    Hi,
We have an application developed on workshop 8.1 worked fine. when we upgrade the application to 9.2, the application can not be deployed on weblogic server. The error is

Hi. The issue is a level or two above JDBC. I suggest
opening an official support case. It's probably a
    WLW issue.

Check this note, though not applicable to your upgrade version.  This can give you some clue.
Note 788768 - Problems during upgrade in the phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_DEST
Also try to stop the Shadow instance, restart it manually and try to repeat this phase.

  • APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE fails with accented user names after upgrade 4.2.1

    Hello,
We have a support contract so I already escalated this to Oracle support (awaiting reply now). But maybe someone else also has this problem.
After the upgrade from APEX 4.1.1 to 4.2.1, one of our users couldn't log in any more into our application environment.
We use authentication against MS Active Directory by calling the APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE function.
It took me some time to track down the problem. Apparently, the person with log in problems had a French character in his name ("é"), and this caused the APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE to fail (it returns false, even when the user name/password are correct!). As a workaround, we replaced the "é" by "e" and now the user can log in again... This used to work fine with APEX 4.1.1!
Any one with the same issue??

Thanks Howard! I don't think our problem is related to the APEX Listener (we are using the older version 1.1.4). When I call the APEX_LDAP.AUTHENTICATE function directly from a PL/SQL block (so by bypassing the web server), the problem remains...

  • Failed to load backgroud images after upgrade to 4.1.1 in Mozilla Firefox

    Hi,
I have recently upgraded our test APEX environment from 3.2.1 to 4.1.1.00.23. Everything went smoothly - I have only one small but annoying problem. In both administration and administration services some background graphics are not displayed. This issue occurs only under Mozilla Firefox (in MS IE it OK). The application frontend is OK in both browsers.
Under Firefox, I inspected the sourcecode in Firebug and the relative links to images. e.g.
    background: url("../apex/builder/bg-region-darkblue-r.gif") no-repeat scroll
show message "Failed to load the given URL".
I suppose that the issue might be somehow related to the fact that our application is accessed via apache proxy. Because when I open the administration and/or administration services page in FF directly on the server, it displays correctly (incl. images).
But the network (Apache proxy) configuration is exactly the same as in the previous version of APEX where we had no problem. Something must have changed in the sourcecode of the new version...
Does anybody know how to tackle such an issue? I'd like to have it solved before upgrading the production environment.
    Thank you.
    Zdenek

I forgot to mention that we use EPG instead of Apache HTTPD.
And, of course, I updated images following instructions in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21673/otn_install.htm#BHAJIGDA
    >
    As you have mentioned earlier
Because when I open the administration and/or administration services page in FF directly on the server, it displays correctly (incl. images).Which means the images are uploaded correctly in EPG.
Maybe there is a virtual directory, or some other setup, on you Apache proxy that is still pointing to a folder has does not have the latest images.
As you have rightly concluded earlier this is most probably something to do with your proxy setup. Not Apex.
    So, check you httpd file.
    Cheers,
