Certain Pages don't show full display

When I open the Comcast homepage and a few other web pages they only display a narrow vertical band on the middle 1/3 of the screen. I need to manually zoom in order to get it to display full screen. All other pages automatically display full screen. Is there any way to fix it so all web pages display full screen?

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.

If you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.
Please click My Settings on the right side of this window and update your profile. I'm pretty sure you aren't running 10.4 on a 27" iMac 3.06. Thanks! I'm pretty sure you are running Snow Leoaprd 10.6?

While using firefox in Windows8 certain pages don't show as they're meant to, FB only shows the upper bar, or I can't see a thing or the layout is wrong. Help?

I've just bought a new laptop that uses Windows 8. As soon as I installed Firefox the program started not functioning. Certain websites are not showing as they should and it doesn't help by updating the page.
At times I've previously used a page such as www.riksdagen.se clicked a link on that page to move forward but later when I go back to the previous page the layout is completely off, all the text is there, just not in the format/layout it's supposed to. This is the most common problem that happens on a lot of websites, and it happens sometimes already on the first visit to that site.
Another example is after logging in to facebook only the upper blue bar shows.
Today when I tried logging in to my email account from www.hotmail.com the upper bar shows that the log-in page is "ready" i.e. the address bar has stopped spinning, but the page is just blank.
Can you tell me what's wrong and how to fix it? I've used firefox for a long time on other computers and never had this problem.
These same pages work just fine using internet explorer, but firefox is my preferred web browser.

I have the same problem in Windows 8 with newest, fresh and clear installed Firefox build. It's also for pages like facebook and so on, many pages you visited before. It's a problem with the cache. If you delete them, all is working fine for a short while.
The problem is thats this will happen nearly every day again, so its realy annoying.
In my constellations, its an Samsung Ultrabook with SSD drive and Windows Standby is used so, could it be that the cache ore firefox could get damaged while using powersaving mode if you simple open/close the Ultrabook?
I used Firefox/Windows 8 on my desktop without any problems but i will build in my new ssd tomorrow, so we will see if i get also problems like that by using energysaving modes (its only a speculation, it could also be another Bug in Firefox).

when click 2nd page call button on home.jspx, then which is show main.jspx page. but on address url page full path is never change.

The question is why do you want to show the URL?
Faces apps don't change the url with each click (as the click might be going into a region).
Can you give us a use case? Do you use bounded task flows?

Photo pages don't show photos after iWeb upgrade

I loaded the upgrad yesterday for my 08 iWeb and now the photos that I published prior to upgrade don't show up on my site. Strangely, the Album page shows the photos in each album, but when I click into the photo page itself, no photos are visible and also the "index, play slideshow, subscribe" don't work either. Any new photo page I created after the upgrade looks fine. Everything looks clean in iWeb software itself. Photos don't show up on the site. What's up with this? Thanks for the answers.

Mine is doing the exact same thing - thought the update would solve the issue. The drop down menu says there are missing fonts, then it tells me to put the photos on the page again, which is ridiculous. iWeb '06 to '08 is the problem as anything added to it since upgrading to the latter works fine. Apple won't seem to acknowledge that they've introduced incompatible software, which is more like the doings of Microsoft.

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

Certain Pages do not show up in my history log. Why is that. I have a security concern as on site was my online bank site.

I have noticed that some websites will show up in the history log and some website will not. I have a concern that there might be a security breach on my laptop that I am not aware of.

You probably need to "Publish All" to make all of the
pages republish and fix their nav bars.

I did as you said but oh oh.......... it didn't work. I have also been told that I must add the name of the second site to my first site, so that it would look like this:
http://web.mac.com/lorna6/secondsitename
I am told to then use this URL and make it a hyper-link to my first site and then my sites will be linked. I take it to mean that when I hyper link it to my first site, this new URL has to be in the Navigation bar at the top of the page.
Can I name the second site anything I want or am I constrained as I was in the naming of my first site? (the .Mac constraint of having us all use our .Mac name in the URL. BTW, I don't mind this at all, and in fact I think it's a good thing, because that way I can spot another .Mac person.

Safari pages not loading properly and certain pages don't even load

Recently, I've been struggling with a lot of certificate warnings and some incomplete loadings from Safari. I don't know why but my mac is constantly asking me to verify certificates even though i've allowed them all for my most frequently visited sites. I've experienced this before but I don't know why I'm encountering this again and this time I'm also sick and tired of twitter insisting on not even loading and my hotmail being improperly loaded. Font and scale of everything change and there are no images when my pages are being improperly loaded. I can't do anything like that. How can I change the certificate settings so that my mac will never ever again ask me for authentification each and every time I try to load. Please help for Safari's certificate issue and improper loading.

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are several possible causes for it.
Back up all data, then take each of the following steps that you haven't already taken. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Step 1
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Date & Time
Select the Time Zone tab in the preference pane that opens and check that the time zone matches your location. Then select the Date & Time tab. Check that the data and time shown (including the year) are correct, and correct them if not.
Check the box marked
Set date and time automatically
if it's not already checked, and select one of the Apple time servers from the menu next to it.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/System/Library/Keychains/SystemCACertificates.keychain
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Show Info
from the contextual menu.* An Info dialog should open. The dialog should show "You can only read" in the Sharing & Permissions section.
Repeat with this line:

If instead of the Info dialog, you get a message that either file can't be found, reinstall OS X.

Step 3
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
In the upper left corner of the window, you should see a list headed Keychains. If not, click the button in the lower left corner that looks like a triangle inside a square.
In the Keychains list, there should be items named System and System Roots. If not, select
File ▹ Add Keychain
from the menu bar and add the following items:

/System/Library/Keychains/SystemRootCertificates.keychain
From the Category list in the lower left corner of the window, select Certificates. Look carefully at the list of certificates in the right side of the window. When using this certificate: Use System Defaults
Close the inspection window. You'll be prompted for your administrator password to update the settings. Revert all the certificates with non-default trust settings. Never again change any of those settings.
Step 4
Select My Certificates from the Category list. From the list of certificates shown, delete any that are marked with a red X as expired or invalid.
Export all remaining certificates, delete them from the keychain, and reimport. For instructions, select
Help ▹ Keychain Access Help
from the menu bar and search for the term "export" in the help window. Export each certificate as an individual file; don't combine them into one big file.
Step 5
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ Certificates
There are three menus in the window. Change the selection in the top two to Best attempt, and in the bottom one to CRL.
Step 6
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
/var/db/crls
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "crls" should open. Move all the files in that folder to the Trash. You’ll be prompted for your administrator login password.
Step 7
Reboot, empty the Trash, and test.

MacPro 2013 will not show full display dimensions only 1080p

I own the "ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch WQHD LED-lit Professional Graphics Monitor" which has 2560x1440 WQHD resolution. When I use HDMI that works in full 1440 dimension quality, but when I switched to display port 1.2 using a wire from amazon "Accell B143B-003J UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Latch, White, 3.3-Feet" It only displays in 1080p max. Can anyone please help to explain why I can't acheive the full resolution of my displaying unless I use the HDMI wire? I switched to display port so I can plug in my TV to the HDMI port as a second display so I won't be able to go back to HDMI. Side note: No TV (second display) was not connected yet to affect any quality settings.

What is the refresh rate that the monitor is using? The FirePro 500's and 700's appear to have a problem displaying at 60Hz @ 4K. Theres a Samsung 4K thread here that describes how to alter one of the system files to get the refresh up, but the highest I've been able to get mine and have a stable full picture is 50Hz. We I believe are at Apples mercy waiting on an updated plist to fix this problem.

Pages don't show up right in chrome??

Hello! I'm working on a website for a ministry, and everything looks great in all browsers, except the donate page its all messed up in google chrome (latest version)

One interesting thing is when i open the site in safari and scale it down (cmd + -) it messes up like chrome is normally, but chrome is at normal scaling... and even when scaled up it looks the same!
Also its only this page, i use parallax scrolling throughout the whole site, so why is this site different?

to start, here is a quick legend for my comment:
the mountain and ocean area is section 1.
the white box with the large text is section 2.
and the area below that is section 3.
So section 1 (the rectangle holding the background image) went underneath and all the way to the bottom edge of section 2.
which shouldn't have been a problem, but when i moved it to border section 2 (instead of going underneath it)
the gap between section 2 and the section 3 disappeared in chrome...
So i looked at the text "donate" in section 1, and the text box holding it was the perfect size to hold the text...
so i extended the text box an equal amount on both sides (maybe 50px padding, or the equivalent) and then center aligned the text, that fixed the last letter dropping down below it.
Very interesting issue! but i guess chrome just views things differently, maybe web fonts show up a tad bigger on chrome? not sure!
either way my problem is solved, hopefully this helps someone!

Is the problem where parts of the page don't show up only on firefox?

facebook parts of it and other websites are not showing up anyone else have this problem on other browsers it works fine.. it seems a firefox problem with the recent upgrades.

Can you spot any pattern with the missing content? For example, is it specific to pictures, videos, etc.?
Also, have you noticed any issues with security certificates? Many sites now use HTTPS connections, and Firefox may exclude insecure content in secure pages, or fail to retrieve content from a server that has an invalid certificate. The solution for this depends on the reason for the errors, which can range from Firefox not being fully set up to work with your security software to having malware on your system or a hijacked connected.
More generally:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
You can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* click the padlock or globe icon to the left of the address in the address bar, then More Information > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page (and if the site requires a login, log in again). Does that help?

Itunes page does not show full page w/license agreement..nano does not work

plugged in nano to computer, license agreement comes up half page, can not click any responces. they r not there in view.Also no set up assintant appears as it said it would in the pathetic little " manual" that came with it. wonder if they burn well in the woodstove:).easy as 1,2,3??? can they count???

Certain pages don't open

Help! So I every now and than when I type a url, facebook for example, instead of taking me to facebook it takes me to yahoo.news, but if I wait a while it'll eventually take me there. And, also when I click on some links it won't open or it says it can't find that link, even though I know that I've used that link before. Any ideas as to what I may have done wrong, or what I can do to fix it?

Use another browser. If the problem does not appear in the other browser then you will know it's a Safari problem. Post the issue in the Safari forums.
