Certain podcasts won't download.

I'm having problems downloading certain podcasts to my itunes. So work and other don't. When it doesn't work it's giving me the "err=-3259" , but its not a firewall issue because my computer is open to sharing music as it is. I am running off the most recent version of itunes and i have also tried unsubscribing from the podcasts and resubscribing.
Help please....

When i try to play or download it through apple tv, i get the message "This movie cannot be played". When i try to do the same through my iphone, i get basically the same message. It's been this way since the Christmas holidays and its getting very very irritating. I've been watching the SHow for a while now with no problems whatsoever. But now...I can watch every other podcast except this one. What on earth is going on???

itunes 8, now 8.01 refuses to download certain larger podcasts. There is no firewall enabled, no norton/antivirus software, and yes, i have checked all of the other relevant information on the discussion boards and tried those that seemed applicable.

Certain podcast won't download in home WiFi

recently the podcast "NBC Nightly News(video)" (also the audio one) stopped updating and downloading using my home wifi, even when i force it to update it doesn't recognise there are new episodes and when i choose certain episode (after 3.12.14) and try to download it shows Download error. without specifying what is the error), the last epsiode it recognises is from 3.12.14, the problem occurs on my iPad, iPhone and PC, however using different wifi network (such as university wifi) the podcast updates regularly and downloads the episodes.
I own iPhone 4S and iPad 4 both using iOS 8.1.2.
Is there a way to detect what the problem is? i don't have the problem with other podcasts, and i am not sure what to check with my network (assuming it's the problem).

OK, seems like I located the problem - sort of. It's not the feed that's the issue, but rather the fact that I'm pushing my MP3-files through a PHP script which does some statcounting. If I access the MP3 files directly, the iTunes app downloads them OK.
So I'm guessing maybe my headers aren't exactly what the iTunes app is expencting? Here's a snippet from the PHP file which outputs the MP3 data:

My podcasts won't download from the computer to my ipod touch all of a sudden!

All of a sudden my podcasts won't download from the computer to the ipod touch anymore. It still downloads changes in music and apps, but it just seems to be podcasts. Can anybody help me diagnose my problem?

If they are video podcasts, they now appear in the Video app after iOS 5.

TS2743 My podcast won't download from iTunes for anyone, anymore

Hi guys! I am the owner/host of Dorktown Podcast. Sadly most listeners (me included) are not able to download our shows off of iTunes. It has been on there for seven years and has been fine previously and nothing has changed from the feed. You can stream it but it won't download. The podcast feed and files are fine as they work on all other formats (including Stitcher). There is plenty of space on peoples phones or computer for the download.I
When I report the problem directly on iTunes it keeps telling me I've 'timed out' after I send the report even though it's only taken me seconds to paste the report and send it.
Please please please I hope somebody can help as it's driving me crazy that people can no longer download off iTunes.

Video podcast won't download?

After installing the latest version of iTunes on my G4 iBook the video podcast will not download, an error message pops up right when the podcast is done downloading. I was able to do this with the older software.

I am having the same issue and then some. Itunes will only load a couple videos to the ipod. It will quict the installation of the the movies saying it's a bad format. Also my ipod will not play podcasts and it'll shut down. I didn't have these issues before installing itunes 7. I have heard of the issues with itunes 7 and wanted to see if anyone else is having issues with communication and play back on the ipod.

Loops and certain instruments won't download properly

The loops won't don't download as well as certain instruments. Any help?

This is the WMP plugin: np-mswmp , so you have it.
You may be missing a codec to play that content or some extension or security software is blocking that content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

A certain album won't download to my iPod

I buy physical copies of albums and download them to my iTunes then sync the ones i like to my iPod (touch. the older version (if that mattered)) but a certain album (the new One Direction Four album) i even made a playlist to put the album in a sync it individually but the the playlist folder synced all the songs didn't. also when i have my ipod plugged into my computer and click to see all the songs that are in it, i scroll down to look for the songs and they're all faded and there's a little dashed circle before the little check-mark. i can't click on it either.

Certain songs won't download

I'm new to this and currently trying to download songs I have in Itunes - on certain songs it gives me a message stating "Some of the songs in Itunes music library, including (song I'm trying to download), were not copied to the Ipod...because they cannot be played on this Ipod." Of course, these are the songs I want most of all - what is this about?

I'm having the same problem. I have been able to load many cds, but suddenly I can't download any, and always get the same message: "Some of the songs on this cd were not downloaded because they cannot be played on this iPod." What's wrong?

Certain apps won't download or update

Why is it that a handful of apps that i have downloaded (angry birds, for example) won't update? it gives me that little error notification and says "Update unsuccessful" thanks for your help!

I would like to thank the community for your suggestions. I would like to also recommend that you clear the Cache on your phone. This will sometimes help resolve problems associated with processing updates.

ERROR 450- Podcasts Won't Download

I've been trying to dowload some podcasts that I'm subscribed to on the iTunes store. However an exclamation point pops up with a window saying: "There was a problem dowloading [NAME OF PODCAST]. An unknown error occured (450). Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again." I've added a few sites to Parental Controls, including http://apple.com; http://itunes.apple.com; http://ax.itunes.apple.com, and I've even uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes & Quicktime. I've gone back and forth from Apple to Windows but no one can give me a solution. I could really use some help here!

i got this same error message but it was for downloading a couple songs that i bought. it has been very annoying since i have closed i tunes and restarted the computer lots of times. i dont know what else to do. can anyone help.

Certain podcasts I can download on the phone but not from the desktop

This is might sound weird so I apologize if I confuse people.
Tekzilla has separate RSS feeds for different versions of their podcast. Small quicktime, large quicktime, HD quicktime. Obviously with iTunes you can sync the iPhone with podcasts or you can download the podcast themselves over wifi on the iPhone itself. I have been able to sync the small and large quicktime versions with no trouble at all.
It's the HD quicktime version that is giving me trouble.
If I signup for the HD quicktime version of the podcast in iTunes it downloads like it is supposed to but that version of the podcast can not sync up with my iPhone ever and I get the message about how it can not be played on iPhone. Now the weird thing is I can download the HD quicktime version directly on the iPhone itself using wifi and the iTunes app on the iPhone itself and it plays with no problem at all.
My question is how is it possible that I can't sync the HD quicktime version of a podcast from iTunes yet I can download that same version over wifi and it plays perfectly?
I know there really is no point in watching the HD quicktime version on the iPhone's small screen but my point is why is it possible to download it on the iPhone and not being able to get it from the desktop version of iTunes? It sounds like there is some kind of error in the desktop iTunes app.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.
