Certain sites not loading on Win7 Ultimate x64 desktop

I'm at the end of my troubleshooting rope with this one so any help would be appreciated.
A few days ago specific sites stopped working on my custom build Windows 7 Ultimate x64 desktop. Since building it nearly two years ago I have had zero browsing issues. I switched from ATT U-Verse to Comcast a few months ago and haven't had any issues until
a few days ago. I have not had any hardware or software changes since before this started happening.
Two main troublesome sites (espn.com and profootballtalk.com) were my two (only two) auto-open tabs in Chrome. cnn.com also will not connect. I believe there was a fourth but I can't recall what it was. The issue is browser agnostic as all three sites also
will not open in IE. I can browse any other site without issue. All three sites connect without issue via my Android cell, iPad and Windows 7 Enterprise laptop (all connected on the same wireless network) so it is specifically my Windows 7 desktop.
I have a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 wirelessly connected to my Asus RT-AC66U router and then a basic Comcast modem. I updated the firmware and power cycled the router just today. The Asus configuration page shows "URL Filter" and "Parental control"
turned off. I have power cycled the Comcast modem and also rebooted my computer a number of times. I do not have another wireless card to replace the TP-Link with and eliminate that but as far as I can tell it offers no functionality for blocking sites.
Today I have also done the following:

/renew
/flushdns
netsh winsock reset
netsh interface ip delete destinationcase
I have disabled Windows Firewall, the Asus firewall and both at the same time and that did not help. Chrome is an allowed program in the Windows Firewall.
I also checked my hosts file and these sites are not references.
When I ping espn.com, profootballtalk.com and cnn.com I get four repeated "General failure." entries. Interestingly enough, I can reach "profootballtalk.nbcsports.com".
Chrome gives the following error:
"Google Chrome is having trouble accessing the network.
This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet.
Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
Error code: ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED"
What could possibly be blocking specific sites on a specific machine?

Blue screen while installing Boot Camp support software in Win7 Ultimate x64

2012 macbook pro with OSX Mavericks. Installing Win7 ultimate x64 using boot camp assistant and a USB drive went flawlessly. Then I downloaded and installed the boot camp support software from support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
Running setup.exe bluescreens my computer and makes the windows partition unbootable after that, even in safe mode. I performed a system restore to roll back the boot camp software and booted again, and checked the log file. It pointed to an intel USB driver. I then deleted IntelxHCI from the Drivers/Intel folder, ran setup.exe again, and everything installed perfectly.
My question is: what is the Intel usb 3 extensible host controller, why is it included in the support software, and why does it immediately brick my Windows partition?

I have re-installed Windows 7 about 20 times already, I am experiencing the same problem as you are. The issue must be some kind of driver being installed by Boot Camp. When I leave my fresh Windows 7 install with no Boot Camp, the error or blue screen never occurs. This is weird.

Preview webpages on TOP SITES not loading. Visible is momentary blink loaded pages. I have Safari 5.1.7 on Windows 8. Please help me solve the problem.

Web sites not loading properly / Account Error: Nonexistent

Something strange has begun happening with the websites I've been publishing through iWeb and Me.com -
When the site loads, parts of it are missing or load improperly, such as a picture, or a border around a picture, and so on.
However, the really strange part is that when I refresh the page, a different part of the website is missing or has loaded improperly, each and every time. It almost seems like the server is choosing at random which elements of the website to load, and which not to.
Often when refreshing, the site doesn't load at all, and a white page with the error, "Account Error: Nonexistent" appears, but upon refreshing again, the site goes back into its cycle of random loading.
This only started for me recently, and I would be greatly appreciative if anyone knows the cause and fix to this problem. I don't know if it's iWeb that caused this, or Me.com, or even something else I've done.

I have exactly the same issue on several pages of mine. If I publish them on my MobileMe master Account or family member account, these random loading difficulties occur. If I publish on another Account that I got from Apple Support for testing, it works perfectly. So it has something to do with certain Accounts on MobileMe, for example with mine... In my case, the problem is always here, around the clock. If I reload the page, it usually works but not always.
Apples MobileMe support is on the case since 4 days, I will post results as soon I have any.
Sometimes, the menu of the page does not load, sometimes images are missing, sometimes fonts are wrong, sometimes the background is missing, sometimes I have an the message "Account Error: Nonexistent". When I reload the page, it usually works or the problem is slightly different.
I did publish the sites from scratch, without improvement. It happens on other browsers than Safari and on other OS like Windows XP. It really is a problem with MobileMe. UNACCEPTABLE !

Office 2007 add-ins will not load on Windows 7 x64

Hi there,
I have a brand new built Windows 7 x64 desktop with Office 2007 32 bit installed. When I install Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 11.1.1.7.0 it loads without errors. Except none of the add-ins will load. I have done the usual Add-ins / Com Add-in / Tick box but nothing.
After further investigation it appears there is a VSTO 4.0 error on the machine when I run the C:\Program Files (x86)\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\DotNet2007\TBAddin.vsto. The error itself is only failed when it tries to download savexmldata.png from C:/Program Files (x86)/Oracle/BI Publisher/BI Publisher Desktop/DotNet2007/Resources. The fact is there isn't a folder called Resources nor a file called savexmldata.png.
I thought it may be an assemblies error and tried installing the newest versions of Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools Office Runtime (x64) but all are up to date.

TEMPRO is not working for Vista Ultimate x64

Hi
I have a Qosmio F50-10K and I installed Vista ultimate x64 and the Tempro appliaction is not working. After I install it, I left the Start Tempro button checked and when I press finish it gives me this error:
"internal error 2753
Toshiba.ui.controlpanelapplication.exe"
Same thing happens when I uncheck the box with start tempro.
For both situations nothing is left in the system, no files, no regstry, nothing.

I searched on the Toshiba download driver page and I found out, that Tempro is only available for Vista 32bit, not for 64bit.
So I think Tempro will not work on a 64bit OS.

Desktop Site Not Loading Images or Accordian Menu

I have exported my site files and uploaded them to my server in a folder and the Desktop version is not loading properly. There are a lot of pages, so I haven't reviewed them all just yet, but it appears that the mobile version is working fine. For the Desktop version though, the images aren't loading in both Firefox and Chrome. The accordion menu is also not loading properly and the parallax scrolling isn't working. It had worked when I had only loaded the Desktop portion of the site but now it is not. It is also throwing me the following errors:

I finally stumbled on a related forum post. It seems it was a permissions setting. I contacted my hosting company and they reset the permissions. I am however still receiving the errors referencing the snippets.

Some sites not loading in their own pages, so I get no return or advance arrows, Why?

I try to advance to a new site from a selected page and the new page does not load separately or as an an individual page.
This has started since updating to 3.6.

My hunch is I have a couple of Safari add-ons like Safari Enhancer, Safari Plus & Safari Extender - as well as Adobe Photoshop CS 2 .... would anyone know if there are issues with these other applications or components and Flash in Safari ...?
Since your other user account does work the Safari add ons may be suspect.
Look in your Console when accessing the sites in question it may
provide clues.
Also what do you use for a mouse, if it is Logitech the software can introduce Ape components, which may or may not interfere with flash
on an intel mac.

What's causing certain bookmarks to disappear and certain sites not displaying in history using Firefox 4.0.1

I notice lately that after I create certain bookmarks, they're not in the bookmarks menu when I look for them in subsequent sessions.
I also notice that certain sites don't appear in the history file. For example, earlier today I visited several sites on Sears.com and bookmarked one page.
The bookmark isn't there, and when I check history none of the Sears.com pages are listed. It's as if I never visited them.

Web sites not loading on EDGE at my office

I've been using my iPhone 8 gig successfully to surf the web and the YouTube app on both Wi-Fi and EDGE (even though its slow) at home, at the gym, and at Starbucks. However, right now it's not working. We don't have wi-fi set up in our office, so I have to go through EDGE. Whenever I try to load a site I get the error "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." I have full bars and am able to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem here, as well. I was able to load web pages and email earlier today (albeit seemingly slower than I was able to this weekend) and now, all of a sudden, it's not loading web pages, my weather and stocks widget or email. I am getting the same error message you mentioned. I have full signal strength, the little "E" up at the top and nothing. I've even tried turing off wifi and restarting the phone to force it to use EDGE as the default also with no luck.

I am brand new to Mac, having issues with Safari as well. mostly slow, but several sites will not load. yahoo mailbeta states not configured for this browser. also, unable to connect to software update even just to download most recent version of itunes. Unable to load bhphotovideo.com Using linksys wireless with airport extreme card in mac and dsl. same problem with my wife's new imac.

Secure sites not loading properly

All of a sudden, yesterday, *any* secure site that I go to only loads the in "list mode". For instance, I have my homepage set to search.yahoo.com. It loads fine, but when I search for something, anything, because it searches securely, it comes up with the basic list, not like the page should look. Additionally, I tried to access my AT&T account, and it will not load that at all. It just dumps me to the "cannot display this" page. I have only the basic plugins and extensions added, nothing spectacular (shockwave, adobe, avast!, etc). I tried to completely wipe Firefox out (uninstalled it, and searched for every firefox file I could and deleted them), then reinstalled, and still the same thing. Whether this is related, or not, this happened shortly after I accessed TurboTax, and it had me do a refresh of FireFox from the Mozilla site. I am running a beta test of Windows 10 (which I have been running for a while and have had no problems with FireFox until yesterday, and have received no recent updates from Microsoft), and my pc is AMD A8 quad core 1.7GHz with 6GB RAM

i am in france. my wi-fi was working fine at my hotel. now when i navigate to certain sites (like facebook) it kicks me to a yahoo home page. other sites (like my gmail acct) work fine. ***? thanks.

Probably nothing to do with your computer, but you could try flushing the DNS cache to see if that helps:
1. Quit Safari.
2. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal.app) and paste
dscacheutil -flushcache
then press 'return'.
3. Open Safari and test.
