how can i downlaod songs from my computer onto another ipod than mine? thank you

Well as long as you woud'nt be giving them copyrighted music you would simply put their Ipod into mannuel mode and than drag and drop music into it from Itunes.

  • Whenever I play a certain song on my iPod, it will stop in the middle and skip to the next song in the album

Whenever I play this one song on my iPod nano, it stops in the middle and skips to the next song. It's the same for iTunes. I had looked it up on other forums and other people with the same problem were told that they had to reinstall iTunes or something, not sure I'll really have to do that. Thank you for any advice!

Well, the problem is with iTunes, too. It will still skip on there. Will I have to delete it from there and download it again.

  • How did songs from another ipod move to my ipod

we have multiple user accounts on windows xp pc. itunes was open on a different user name when I plugged in my ipod. since you can only have itunes open on one user name at a time, I couldn't open itunes. I went to the other user name to close that itunes; my ipod was open in itunes on that screen since I had plugged mine in; I saw another one of our ipod's name also shown as connected, even though there wasn't another connected; I disconnected, and when I went to my user name, my ipod had all of that other ipod's songs on it and itunes even showed my ipod name as being the other one. anyone know how this happened and if I can get my songs back?

Before you do anything else, you should change the drive letter associated with your iPod.
Click on control panel/admin tools/computer management/disk management/right click on the iPod to re-assign the drive letter.
Choose something lower down the alphabet, say 'M' or something similar.
The iPod can be confused by any other storage devices assigned a similar drive letter even though they may not connected at the same time. Hence the different iPod showing up when you connected yours.
Once you've sorted out this confusion, you can sync your iPod with your library to reload the songs.

  • Just moved songs from another ipod onto computer....or so I thought.....

....songs are no longer on my ipod and i cannot locate where they went to on my computer. i used the free method of moving the music which basically is getting additional ipod music into folder on computer and then i assume somehow it needs to be moved into my itunes library. problem is that when i check the folder, there are no songs listed. Any ideas? thanks

You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

  • I can't sync certain songs to my iPod now that I've upgraded to 7.2

Songs that I had bought from the iTunes store in the past won't sync to my 2 gig ipod nano now that I have installed iTunes 7.2. I don't understand why, since I burned those songs to a CD and reimported them as .mp3s, just like I would a regular CD...
    Someone Please Help

I had a copy of the 7.1something installer on my extra harddrive, so I just reinstalled it, and now my iPod is syncing fine again...
Still, if anyone knows how to fix the 7.2 problem let me know...

  • Ahhhh. I can't get a certain song onto my iPod...

Yeah, it says that "it cannot be played on this iPod..." But what the heck?! I bought it!
And it also won't play in my iTunes library.
NO I don't share a computer or whatever. Or library.
It's the song No No No by Def Leppard.
    Dang =[
iPod Nano...?   Windows XP   It's an old iPod, idk.

oh, and I'd just like to um...ask how I can fix this. Or just why it's happening?
Would it be because I didn't fully download it or something??

  • Downloading songs to another ipod

Is there any way to download songs onto 2 different ipods? Im not very technically advanced on things like this so any advice on the easiest way to do this would be appreciated.

The same way you download onto one ipod.
I know of no limit to the number of ipods that yo can sync. I have three ipods and one iphone all syncing to the same itunes library.

  • Certain Songs Purchased on iPod Touch will not sync to iTunes.

A couple of songs that I purchased on my iPod Touch won't sync/show up on my computer. The others made it. I have no idea how to sync them to iTunes since they aren't automatically showing up. What should I do?

Could it be a ratings issue?
Do you have ratings restrictions set on your computer?
Are the songs that do not transfer marked "explicit"?

That just isn't happening for certain songs on my iPod and I can't figure out why. There's probably a simple solution hut I'm not exactly great when it comes to technology so I'd really appreciate it I any one could help me out!
