Certain songs won't sort in the correct alphabetical order
I just got a new iPod Classic and when I transferred my iTunes library (about 1600 songs), I noticed some songs had the incorrect titles showing when they were playing on both iTunes and the iPod, for example when a song "Falling" was playing, the title read "Dance Me to the End of Love". I realized how to fix that problem by going into iTunes and playing each album that had incorrect songs, and it fixed the title problem. Now, the song titles are correct but the alphabetical sorting is under what the incorrect info was, for example a song "Falling" is coming up where the song "Dance Me to the End of Love" should be.
All of the albums I have had trouble with are ones I bough from iTunes, and I tried deleting them and downloading them from the cloud, but it didn't work.
Here is what a -50 error means:

These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

How are you viewing your library? In Song view or Album View?
If in Album view pull down View > Show View Options and select Sort by: Artist, then: (whichever choice you want here).
If in Song view I like to see the album artwork so pull down View > Show View Options and select "show album artwork" and close the small window. Then click on the column that contains the artwork and sort it by Artist. -
I have an iPhone5, 16 gb and a 120 gb iPod. All my songs won't fit on the iPhone of course. How can I just get some of them on the iPhone? I want to keep all my music on the iPod, but just want SOME of my music on the iphone. I am VERY new to all this so be gentle and thanks.

Can you access the iTunes Library in other app? IPhoto? IMovie? If not, then I'd bring that to the iTunes forum

There are users reporting the process being stuck and it might have to do with apple turning on match to other countries today.
Have you tried turning match off and letting it remove all none downloaded songs and then turning match back on to see if it fixes it?
Sometimes turn match off and then back on fixes some things, but not always.
Especially if it is working on your other devices, it has to be with the one your trying to get the song downloaded onto. -
I downloaded an album and 3 of the songs won't play all the way through they cut out part way through and jump to another song. How can I re-download those 3 songs?

Photos not showing in the correct time order in the timeline
On a recent holiday I was using both my iPhone and my dSLR to take photos. When I returned from holiday I noticed that the time on my dSLR was wrong. After I had imported the photos into the photo mac app I changed the timestamps to the correct one.
Unfortunately not all of the photos reordered themselves correctly in the timeline. They are no-longer in time order, near time order, but not perfect.
For example the first photo in the timeline currently starts at 12:30, about 5 photos later the timestamp is 11:20.
How do I get my photos to display in the correct time order in the timeline?I think I've figured it out,
When I put in the time for my SLR I set the time zone to the holiday destination.
Despite having a local sim card and the iPhone correctly geotagging me in the location, not all the timezones on the iPhone photos are correct, some are home time zone, others are holiday timezone.
To fix it I used the adjust time tool to change the time zone, but leave the time the same and the photos magically reorganised into the correct place.
It seems the timezone is as important as time. I hope that helps other people -
In iTunes podcasts were sorted in the library alphabetically. In Version 1.2.1, there is no ability to sort and podcasts (not episodes) are duplicated. Can you sort the Podcasts in the library section? How do you remove or consolidate duplicates?

Certain songs won't transfer to iPod
Ok, this is bugging the crap outta me.
A few days ago, my iPod Classic kinda went on the fritz. For some reason, the sound became all distorted. So I tried restoring it. That didn't fix the problem. In fact, it made things worse, because after I restored it, it wouldn't update properly. Certain songs wouldn't go, and a message would pop up that said "Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to." I assumed there was something wrong with my iPod, because there had already been something wrong with it. Which there was, and now it's like dead completely.
Anyway, that's not the extremely troubling part, because I had to get that iPod fixed anyway.
The really troubling part is that my dad gave me his old 4GB iPod Nano (3rd generation) to use because he just bought a new iPod Classic. So I try to put my music on this one, and guess what... same thing happens. I erase and restore it, and when I try to put my music on it, there's certain songs that won't go, and that message pops up. No matter how many times I try to put it on, it's just those certain songs that won't go. And I cannot find ANY connection between the songs that lets me know what the problem is. The files are connected just fine, the songs seem completely random... I can't find any common thing between them... bitrate, encoding, length... nothing. And there's nothing distinguishing most of them from the songs that transfer just fine. They're all MP3s. They all play just fine in iTunes, but won't transfer to the iPod.
I'm getting the feeling there's some kind of bug with iTunes 8, because that's the only thing I can think of that changed recently that might be causing this.
Anybody have any answers? I'm desperate.I've been having the same problem recently- after we downloaded Itunes 8, around the same time we got the new Leopard software, most songs won't sync to my Ipod 3rd gen. And, of course, most of those songs are my favorites.

I recently purchased the most recent 13" MacBook Pro which seems to be running fine, except I am having trouble with iTunes. When I download songs and drag them into iTunes, they either go in then I get a pop-up window saying "Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation" or they don't go in and I get this same pop-up window, and then another pop-up window saying "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (13001). These are all normal mp3 files so I have no clue why certain files won't save properly.

check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in finder, right-click on it and +get info+. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and +apply to enclosed items+ like so
you may also give everyone read & write access.

These are all normal mp3 files
iTunes can be a bit picky which MP3s it accepts. run the problem files by _*MP3 Validator*_, then try again to add them to your library. -
So I have an iPod 4th generation. I've been having problems downloading certain songs...I download my songs from youtube converter and all my other songs I have synced just fine. But there are about 10 songs that won't download,yes I have tried to convert them to AAC or whatever that is,and it seems like that won't work either. I thought maybe it isn't working because I haven't updated my iPod from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3,I try updating and it tells me Error,this ipod could not be updated error 3194...I ask around for questions as to why that isn't working and they tell me to restore. Iphone 5s. Just changed to a new computer. All of the songs are in the Library and in the correct play list. They are also recognized and playing via Apple TV. However, around 60 songs, most of which are recent purchses, will not sync to the Iphone. They appear in the playlist with the "cloud" symbol next to them but will not download when I attempt to do that even one song at a time. When I turn Wifi off, they disappear from the palylist entirely. I have tried many of the suggestions in other strings with no success. Appears to be some kind of Apple glitch that others are experiencing as well?
