Certain songs wont play on itunes 9

i have some songs that will not play on itunes
i try to click on them and nothing happens

I have the same problem on my ipod when i use the charger from the electrical outlet. Plugging into the computer and updating and charging there seems to fix the problem. I shouldn't happen anyway and curious to see what a permanent fix is.

SONG WONT PLAY ON ITUNES

on march 24th i believe or recently i purchased the new KIP MOORE CD. and it is amazing. and been listening to it non stop ever since. well just last night when i was listening to the cd on my ipod i realized the first song kept getting skipped. so when i got home i got on itunes and clicked it. the pop up came up saying you are not authorized to play this song. so i signed in. and it tells me that i my computer is already autherized. and skips to the next song. so i was reading and i read to deauthorized everything i did that. and still same thing. so what do i need to do now. is there some way to fix this. ... now i did download it last night to my laptop. and it plays but on my iPod and main computer the song wont play at all. wont even burn to a cd to listening to it.. please help me. i wouldnt mind if it was a song that sucked but it is an amazing song. thanks.

ap, have you moved the song files on your computer that have the exclamation point next to them? Try playing them in iTunes and see if a window doesn't come up asking you to locate the file. Also, there might be something wrong with the song file that is keeping iTunes from syncing it to your iPod. Do all these songs have something in common that you might recognize?

Song wont play in iTunes - computer needs authorization but is already authorized?

I click to play a song in iTunes (which also purchased from iTunes) but am shown the message "This computer is not authorized to play [song title]. Would you like to authorize it now?". I enter in my username and password to authorize and am told "your computer is already authorized". I even tried to deauthorize then reauthorize but the song still wont play, and this cycle continues.
Every other song on the release plays with no issues - this one track is the only one that wont.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Downloaded an album and 1 song wont play in itunes or ipod

Hi,
I just downloaded a number of albums from itunes.
On one of the albums (smashing pumpkins - machina) the first track will not play! And when i plug in my 160gb ipod to download it puts up error on the song saying it will not play on this ipod? All the other songs on the album play fine? any ideas (its a good song too so gutted!)

I have had the same problem since updating to iTunes 10.5 and it has happened on 2 different occaisions with 3 different albums where I was unable to sync the tracks....and where the computer is shared and smeone else is the main user it meant that I could not access the purchased section to redownload it. I contacted support and they sent me the relevant files.
I'm guessing there may be a slight glitch in 10.5.

So you bought elplicit content? You don't clean them. You either buy the clean version (if available), or you don't.

i bought my ipod just barely a year ago and have downloaded songs both from the store and my own cds on to one playlist...the problem is it skips past all songs from the itunes store and just plays my imported cds...and sometimes it skips past the imported cds also...how do i fix my problem?

After it is downloaded, find the file on your hard drive, and look at the size and properties of the file to make sure it is really an MP3. Also make sure it can play in QuickTime.
Once you are sure that you have a valid MP3, then add it to your iTunes library.
If not, post back with specifics.

I had the same problem and when I went to Settings I had 0 songs, even though they were obviously still there since I only had 15GB free on my 64GB device.
I decided to do a complete reset/restore of my 4th gen iPod Touch, Bad move! If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.

I understand you are having issues with a few tracks in iTunes. The best troubleshooting step may be to delete the song from your library, and re-download using iTunes in the Cloud (if available in your country).

Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
