Certain symbols not showing up...

While viewing websites that show characters such as Japanese symbols, etc. it insted shows up as a square with numbers in it. How can I fix this to show the correct character?

Make sure that you have installed East Asian language support.

Certain characters not showing

I'm having a problem with certain characters not showing on Safari. Some websites are okay, but others, like Livejournal and babynames.com, only show about four characters per word. On some message boards, certain characters such as parentheses and capital L do not show up when I type them, but show up fine on the completed post.
What is going on? Do I need to download a new copy of Safari, switch to Firefox, or can this be fixed?

Apparently it's getting worse. There are eight more letters that don't appear.

Let me expand on this: I have 570 photos in a slide show and all are properly referenced in my library. In the slideshow window, I can see all the pics in the bottom box and when I run "preview slideshow", certain pictures don't appear in the top box whilst the curser moves across the picture in the bottom box. Likewise, if I run the full screen slideshow, that picture(s) does not appear (I have a blank screen); the next picture does show up, howerver... This happens with several dozen pictures, always the same, randomnley amongst the 570...

Hello Tony and thank you. I regenerated and rebuilt thumbnails; I deleted the slide show and rebuilt it; nothing works. Now, I noticed something weird. All pictures are in an Aperture project and are properly referenced as I said; all the pictures in this project come from a old iPhoto project where some of the pictures are in a "Modified" folder, others in an "Original" project; it is all the pictures in the "Original" project that don't show up in the slide show.... Do you have any idea what I should do?

1. apple tv and iphone/ipad/macbookair are really on the same wifi;

I am facing problem. when we load the data from ODS to CUBE .Data loaded succesfully.In ods manage screen DATA MART symbol not showing.

Hi Kamal,
Try running delta update from ODS to Cube manually by right click ods -> Update data into data target -> Delta update.
And hopefully datamart status should get checked.
Also see the request status of datamart from ODS to Cube it may be in red / yellow status.

Certain Album Not Showing

Hi I bought an album from the iTunes Store, but it is not showing in my library. (I have iTunes Match). When I go to view my past purchases in the iTunes Store, it says they are downloaded...Where are they???

I've got a similar issue--certain songs show up on my iPod when I'm connected to iTunes and view my iPod contents thru iTunes, but when I eject the iPod and look for these certain songs on the iPod itself, they don't show up.
I have tried deleting them from the iPod and then retransferring them to the iPod. Sometimes this may make a few of them show up, but then inevitably they disappear again from the iPod.
I've tried resetting the iPod.
These are not songs purchased from the iTunes store.
Any ideas?

Percentage symbol not showing on member

Hi All,
I am working on Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3. I created a custom dimension named Measurement.
In this one member is say X and I set the Data Type as percentage.
In Column I taken period and in row the member X. While entering the value on that say .07, it is not showing in percentage symbol(%), like 70%.
Please any one can suggest what is wrong here.

as correctlt pointed in the above post ,the purpose is to set the priority to display memebers in forms.for example
lets say we have a memeber P1 of product dimension with data type percentage and we have an account A1 of type currency
now we have displayed the intersection of these two members in a form and punched a value 5 on the form.
if the evaluation order is set as
Products
Accounts
then the the value displayed on the form will be in 500 %
but if the evaluation order is
Accounts
Products
then the value displayed will be 5

Why is the spotlight symbol not showing on macbook air

On my 2007 macbook air, the spotlight search icon is not showing the in the top right corner. Also, the wifi, bluetooth and battery symbols are not showing. If i click the spot there the wifi symbol should be it does up with the little drop down box as it should but the symbol is not showing. I tried installing OX S Mountain Lion however after 40 minutes it still said it had 4hrs and 46 minutes until complete and i didn't have time so i stopped the install.

Certain songs not showing up

Hey guys. There are certain songs for the same artist that are not showing up on my iPod when I scroll under "Artists." They are on the iPod in general, but does anyone know why they aren't showing up? For example, I have 6 Tom Petty songs, all of them which are labeled as "Tom Petty," but when I scroll through Tom Petty under Artists, only one of the six songs shows up. The other five I have to find by scrolling under "Songs." Help!

Certain Items Not Showing Up in Local View f12 Preview

I have been making some changes (very, very green with DreamWeaver and Website building ing eneral), and have run into this issue. When making changes to the navigation/links from one page to the next, (that is the only change being made) the flexslider images do not show up in the F12 preview. Is this just the way it is or should I be able to view with the F12 local host preview. The last thing I want to do is make the changes, publish, and all hell breaks lose because the images are not showing up.

The folders should be ok. I copied directly from the previous user (10+ yrs exp) directly over to me. I made a change to the "Our Team" page and successfully published to the site. Here is a question -
If I "get files: from the remote server, then those should be the files currently being used on the LIVE website. ANd if I overwrite the local copy, then by all means, what is seen on the websiteshould be seen on the Local View as well. That leads me to belive that this code can not be seen in that preview state?

Certain image not showing in email

This issue happened using Firefox 14.0.1 in Windows7
I have an email that loads several images from a specific website.
All the images load except the company's logo. At first I thought it might be yahoo mail issue. However I tried opening same email in hotmail, it does not show up as well.
I've tried all the solutions that firefox provided ( deleting cache, check media blocked, exceptions etc ) and it still not working. I've even re-installed Firefox.
This problem only appeared on Windows7. I've the same version of Firefox in Mac and it's showing the logo.

Certain Icons not showing, tried "Show All" to no avail

Hey experts,
I have an odd problem that I'm stumped by. I have a number of icons/programs on my Torch that are not showing up for some reason. Now of course I've tried selecting "Show All" from the BlackBerry menu, yet none of the missing programs show up.
It first started a few months ago, where my Twitter app stopped showing up (even though in BlackBerry App World it showed as installed, yet was no where to be found). I managed a work-around, by using UberSocial, so I didn't bother looking into it. Then I tried downloading Hoot Suite, with again the same problem; App World said it was installed, but the actual program was no where. Now I just had a third program do the same thing, but this one's more important. The actual app for BlackBerry App World is now not showing up; so not only can't I use its barcode reader, but I obviously can't download any programs, or update any.
It's extremely frustrating, does anyone know what might be going on?

Cannot find file symbol not showing up

Hi -
I have just done a massive move and backup etc. Things are going fine - just learned that every time you "reorganized" itunes music the entire file structure changes so a real back up with something like SyncBack totally ***** but...
The question is...
I know that there are about 50 files that do not have the proper file association. Last night there were the little exclamation points next to the song so I could find and correct them. I closed itunes and turned the computer off for the night. And now this morning when I open up the computer and itunes I cannot tell which songs still need updating because the little exclamation points are gone. How do I get those symbols back??!! (And yes, there still are files to be corrected I test that this morning)

I don't think your picture has anything to do with Spotlight. My Applications folder shows up the exact same way. Mac OS X applications aren't usually a single item, they're "packages" with items and folders inside. To get folders and packages to show their size, you'll have to change the "View Options" from the View menu. Check the box on to "Calculate all sizes". I would probably change the dialog box to reflect the changes to "This window only". Otherwise the Finder will be re-calculating the size of everything in every window. That could slow things down a bit.

Email formatting - multiline symbol not showing

I am using method sendtaskdescription to send an email. The body of the mail is the task description as normal. I have embedded a multiline element as an expression in the task description using the option "All lines with line break". However, only the first line will show in the email. Each line of the multiline element is simply a text string.
I have tried all kinds of formatting options in the task description, but nothing seems to help. Anyone with any suggestions?

Out of all the meaningless and unexplained suggestions here in this forum....
Would you care to explain why refreshing the organizational buffers should influence the multiline text element inclusion in a work item description? Or were you just taking a shot in the dark, hoping to get some points awarded either out of pity or because Tony didn't know better?
Now, before some of you say I shouldn't be so harsh, I care to disagree. If this is the quality of advice, then what is the point of the forum? The goal of this forum surely can not be to lower our average intelligence, can it?
If someone, like Abishek in this case, is taking a shot in the dark - they he/she should at least have the decency and integrity to qualify their advice by stating that: "I'm taking a shot in the dark", or "I don't really know anything about this, but here are some general tricks to try when things fail".

Objects converted to symbols not showing up in workspace CS4

Has anyone have this problem? It's extremely problematic when you're trying to design something. It plays fine when tested, but you cant see anything that's converted to a graphic, button, or movie clip. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, etc... Any other advice?
Also, I got an error message about the classic view not loading correctly, and everything's been goofy since. I still can't edit anything in classic view.

I found the answer to this on a previous post by someone else, but am unable to find it again. Will someone please help me find a posting with a similar topic? My symbols keep disappearing, but it works fine when I preview it.
