Certain Videos from iTunes Hang when using Airplay to Apple TV

I've been using Airplay to watch videos from iTunes on my compter to my Apple TV (2). It works great for the most part, but I've been having issues with a small number of my videos.
Whenever I try to play these videos, iTunes will connect perfectly fine and I will see the loading "circle" on the bottom left (on the seek bar), but the video never plays. What's really strange is that if I seek to any part of the movie, the current frame will load (so I can see the video as if it was paused), but I will continually see the loading circle and it never plays. Very annoying.
Any ideas?

Finally got a chance to test this out. Saddly enough, it didn't work.
I deleted the movie from iTunes (no hard delete), then added it again. Same problem :-/
And yes, they are all saved in the same location (Movies folder).
Any other suggestions???

Losing WiFI on MacBook when using AirPlay to Apple TV

When I use AirPlay to 'Extend Desktop' from my 2014 MacBook Pro to my Apple TV, about two thirds of the time my MBP will lose its WiFI connection to my Airport Extreme. So AirPlay and Extend Desktop works fine, but my MacBook no longer has access to the Internet. The WiFi signal strength icon on the MBP menubar just goes grey. If I click on the menubar icon, it just says "Wi-Fi: AirPlay" rather than the name of my network.
It's like AirPlay just takes over my WiFi connection to connect my MBP to my Apple TV, forcing out the WiFI connection to my base station. But again, one third of the time my MBP will remain connected to the WiFi and the Internet when using AirPlay. And other devices, like my iPad, always remained connected to the Extreme and can access the Internet.
I've been scouring the Internet looking for solutions or even other people having this issue, but no luck so far. Thought I'd ask here to see if anybody had any suggestions.

I'm a teacher using an epson hdmi capable projector in my class. I'd like to play a video (youtube, TED, etc) to a large class, but as soon as I use airplay, the apple tv mirrors my iPad to the projector, and while the video is fine, the audio is horrible, as it is also mirrored to the epson projector, which has tiny, horrible speakers. Is there any way to run the audio through the iPad, where I can connect my computer speakers through the headphone jack? I believe if you go to settings> sounds... you can select where you want the sound to come from. So there you can set it to the "internal speakers" and then plug in your computer speakers.

I had already authorized the computer to play music, so I thought this was the only authorization I needed. i went ahead and authorized my computer, Now it shows that I have 2 authorized computers! I don't understand. Shouldn't one authorization be enough?

Hmm,
This is not a big problem as you can have up to five authorised devices.
However, if this is a problem you can go to Store, View my Account,
Deauthorize All
Then you will have to authorize your computer again.
Hopefully the number will stay as 1.

Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

Apple TV loses wireless network connection when using AirPlay from iPad or iPhone 5

Our Apple TV loses connectivity to our wireless network while using Airplay from our iPad or iPhone 5. This started occurring after the latest iOS update. We are able to wirelessly stream movies from iTunes without any problem. This issue occurs only when using AirPlay. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a:
new MBPr 15" late 2013 with dedicated graphics card
new airport extreme base station
3rd generation apple tv
iPhone 5s
200mb download speed (not important, as streaming video on your local network has nothing todo with outside bandwidth)
All equipment is up to date software wise. Airplay mirroring from my laptop to my apple tv is ok. I get frequent lag, pixelation, audio skip (every 10 mins or so).
I'm using the 5ghz specturm to connect to the airport express so shouldn't have any inteference from my neibours (accordiing to iStumbler i'm the only person with a 5ghz setup using channel 30). I've tried connecting apple tv wirelessly and wired. No issues streaming from my iPhone or an iPad!
Surprisingly, using apps such as Beemer or Air Video Server on my MBP work better than native mirroring when it comes to video play back.
Strange when you think how Air Video works:
Video file lives on MBP
iPhone connects to laptop
Video plays on iPhone and is sent to Apple TV via Air Mirroring
Rather than:
Video played on laptop
Video sent to Apple TV
Seems bizzare that my iPhone can handle better streaming than my pro laptop.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

After watching video from iTunes library on ATV2 , when trying to use mac afterwards wi-fi slow or stopped. I Have to unplug router to get it working again. Don't think its always being like this?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first.

Since the last ATV software update, I have had problems playing You Tube content from the iPad to the ATV using airplay, yet the same content from the You Tube channel on the ATV plays fine. I get the dreaded "HDCP error" which is nonsense, as YouTube content does not have this protection. Netflix also gives the same error. (I have posted seperately about this problem.)
I have had a couple of years of fault-free playing with my setup, the only thing that has changed is the Apple ATV software. Ergo, they need to fix whatever bug they introduced. None of the recommended "fixes" have worked.

The 2330 error often means some sort of damage to the filing system as might happen if the battery fell out while the disk was in use.
Try running a disk check to see if it finds and fixes any errors.

Same issue here- I can airplay my amazon prime library just fine from my iphone 5 but on my macbook- (mavericks, 15 inch 2013 retina with quad core i7, nvidia 650 M and SSD) it just sputters and lags.
I have noticed web video is considerably worse than local content, giving me pauses of up to 2 or 3 seconds in which video stops but audio continues in the amazon player. Youku video, however, seems relatively stable. Our subscription speed is 25 mbps, so that should be plenty to stream SD video from Amazon and doesn't account for why it would be nice and stable from the iphone, but not the mbp.
Playing light, locally hosted steam sidescrollers like Limbo is better but gives periodic drops in framerate on the Tv. when mirroring the framerate remains steady on the MBP screen.
Games airplayed from my iphone seem relatively stable, though with a noticably lower framerate on the TV than on the phone.
It seems these issues have abated considerably since yesterday's Apple TV update, but are still curious nonetheless and I'm not sure that the update yesterday was specifically meant to address those issues or if I'm just getting a time with less network interference now.
Comcast recently installed a new router/modem/phone combo, replacing our old separate modem and router setup. I'm going to test if putting the network on a different channel helps.

I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did. I'm using a small Vizio HDTV. I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers. In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down. Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.

Error message when trying to transfer/sync video from itunes to ipod

I have never had this problem before, but I just purchased a couple music videos from itunes and then was trying to manually transfer/sync them to my ipod and then I receive the error message "Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to"
I can transfer/sync music just fine still, and I have transferred music videos in the past. And I checked the info tab on the music videos and they are "protected content" but I have been able to transfer other protected content videos from itunes before.
I have tried restarting itunes and the ipod, putting it in disk mode and nothing seems to work. I would appreciate someone's help, THANK YOU!
