Certificate in incoming Quality
I want test certificate from the vendors. And if i will receiv eit at the time of goods receipt, system should not allow me to clear the respective inspection lot.
Accordingly i ahve mapped the things like in QM view, set "QM Proc. active", QM control key - 0005,cert type - E31A and also created the Q. info record for the material vendor combination.
But i found that system is allowing me to accept the material though i am not receiving cert.
Pleass help me where i am going wrong.

hi sandip
As Keerthi mentioned kindly set the Message control which will forbind your transaction in the above said path itself
<b>Control if Certificate Is Not Available</b>
Type of control used by the system if the certificate required at goods receipt is not provided. The deciding factor is whether or not an inspection lot is created at goods receipt.
The system allows for the following cases:
With lot: Status in inspection lot Without lot: Blocked stock
With lot: Status in inspection lot Without lot: Error message
With lot: Error message Without lot: Blocked stock
With lot: Error message Without lot: Error message
With lot: Status, no skip-to-stock Without lot: Blocked stock
With lot: Status, no skip-to-stock Without lot: Error message
Warning
Information
<b>
Dependencies</b>
If you set the indicator Inspection lot for several material items in the material master, in certain circumstances the system does not create an inspection lot when a partial or follow-up delivery is received. As a result, the system sends an error message

Hi everybody,
How sap will take care incoming quality ?
what ever my knowledge says ....
we can do it 2 possible ways-
1. inventory transfer
2. in grpo duplicate the row.
But in both case i have found out so many disadvantage which is not suitable for good business.
Please expert tell me others way for incoming quality testing with out using any sdk.
Remember stores & quality are different department . and also quality department pass different parameter at the time of quality testing.
Please ..........
Regards,
AvijitHI Avijit,
From whatever I have read about your post I find that the problem you are facing is to where and how to track the Quantity that has been rejected by your company to the vendor. Am I right??? Please let me know.
You can do GRPO - Goods Issue - AP Invoice - AP Credit Memo
Now incase you do not wnat the AP Invoice and the AP credit memeo to be created the best way to go about would be while doing GRPO do it by using a Quality Warehouse...the goods will be received in the Quality WH and after testing them here in this warehouse the rejected quantity can be sen t back directly by using Returns...no AP Invoice to be created here.
Hope this helps.

Archive incoming quality certificate from vendor
Hi All,
We are receiving the vendor quality certificate along with the raw material and we would like to store these certificates (in PDF format) in SAP.
As a part of this scenario i have created the quality certificate in QC51 against the PO. But I am unable to archive original certificate which we received along with material from the vendor.
Kindly elaborate what are the customizations settings are required to archive the quality certificate.
Thanks & Regards,
N. LaxmanFirst of all you have to get with your Basis person and find out where you are going to archive your certs too. Most places set up an optical drive for this purpose. This has to be done by basis. They should be able to tell you what the "link" is they have set up for the device and the repository id they have defined.. In standard SAP the link is TOA01. But if there is no device behind this link, your archiving won't work.
In config in QM, quality certificates, process output, define archive link, you would map the "link" to the object type BUS2117, for document types QMICERT and QMICERTPDF. This should be there already hopefully.
If this done, you should be able to archive you incoming COA's.

Regarding Incoming quality certificate from vendor
Hi Experts ,
Please explain me with steps how the certificate process is carried out for both in outgoing & incoming case.
REgards
vivekHi vivek,
For Out Going Certificate.......
You need to maintain a Certificate Profile (QC01)
Assign the material to created COA profile. (QC15/QC16)
Then run trx QC21 to take print out of COA, now system will pick the result for the inspection lot,(you have enter in the selection layout for QC21 initial screen). for all those MICs that you have attached to the profile.
For In coming COA.
Maintain the QM in Procurement data in the QM view MM.
Define the certificate type the vendor furnishes with the delivery, in Q info record (QI01).

Dear Experts,
I have a problem, actually we have categorise our vendors in three categories, A Class, B Class and C Class Vendors, and we do source inspection not GR inspection, but for A Class Vendors we only received Quality Certificate from the vendor and we donot do source inspection for A Class Vendors, we only want to enter certificate number in MIGO, if we have not receive the certificate system should not allow us to do migo.
How can we achieve this in sap, please confirm me step by step.
Regards
IshuHi,
in migo u can see in header level service for object here u can attach the quality certificate ,if u done gr r else u go to same material document in display mode & u can attach the quality certificate.
u can enter the quality certificate no. in text either header r item level even if u make it as mandatory.

Hi all,
I was just wondering how do we configure exceptionally for incoming quality functionality.? i.e. When we add a GRPO transaction we are supposed to do a quality check, this can be part of a approval procedure or we can transfer it to a so called as inspection warehouse and then approve it later by transferring it to the accepted
warehouse.
Similarly any of you have any better idea regarding the In-coming quality functionality, I would be pleased to know. We are using SAP 2005 B
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
AdityaThere is no QC function in SAP Business One. However, we have developed a small AddOn for a customer to follow the process below:
1) Receive goods in QC warehouse
2) Open a SDK screen to confirm quantities
3) automatic creation of stock transfers to FG warehouse.

Content server certificate verification
Hello, everybody,
we would like to use the proxy server as an HTTP-to-HTTPS converter for around 30 URLs/destination servers in a configuration as follows:
clients (actually another proxy)
--->HTTP---> web proxy
--->HTTPS--> firewall
--->Internet
We added the forward (http-->https) and reverse (https-->http) mappings in the web proxy already, and they work.
I'd like to know which certificate/key file is for client requests (not used here, only HTTP), and which is for the outgoing HTTPS requests for content servers, and how exactly content server certificate checking can be manipulated.
There are:
(a) a key file in magnus.conf
(b) a cert database in magnus.conf
(c) a security setting (on/off) in magnus.conf
(d) a key file in the Init statement in the obj.conf
(e) a cert file in the Init statement in the obj.conf
(f) a security setting (on/off) in the Init statement in the obj.conf
...but which is for what?
The admin document (which I have read up and down) mentions "security" and "encryption", but IMHO fails to state whether the terms refer to incoming requests (which I assume), and which refer to outgoing requests.
So in more detail:
1) If I generate a key and put a corresponding certificate into a key file, what is the effect if I mention this file in (a) or (d) above, resp.? Do these entries have to be the same (i.e., do they have to mention the same file)?
2) In (1), for which connection does the certificate/key apply: to requests incoming from the clients (if HTTPS/SSL were used there), acting as a server certificate, or as client certificate for outgoing requests, or both?
3) The certificate database in (b) and (e), resp., is it for verifying the client certificates in incoming requests (which is often mentioned), for verifying the content server certificates in outgoing requests (which is hardly ever mentioned), or both? I need to verify the content server certificates, and some of them are issued by strange or own CAs, so I need to add a few CA certificates.
4) Do I have to add the CA certificates as chain certificates or as CA certificates? "CA certificates" would make sense to me (after all, they are CA certificates), but those are apparently only for client certificate verification, so I added them as chain certificates (a chain of a single element...). Strange that if I click "Do not trust", a certificate that was earlier trusted for client certs is now "only" valid as CA certificate -- as if one was somehow "less" than the other.
5) With an Equifax server certificate on a certain host, I get a message that the content server allegedly refuses to respond to the connection or may be highly loaded. Using openssl, I can connect from the same host to the content server without problems, in SSL2, SSL3, TLSv1. It makes no difference if the Equifax CA certificate is in the cert database or not, or if "Security" is on or off, or if "Initialize certs only" is checked. Using ssldump, I see that the proxy gives a "bad_certificate" fatal alert to the server. (The list of supported ciphers is a lot shorter with the proxy than with openssl, BTW.) Happens with at least two content servers, both of which can be contacted without problems via openssl, and the server certificates of which can be verified with their corresponding CA certificates I have available.
6) What does "Security on", "off" and "Initialize certs only" actually do? (...apart from putting a line into obj.conf...)."Security" is such a broad term used in (c) and (f), but does it refer to the client or the content server side? (Yes, I know that SSL provides authentication and encryption, I'm just not sure about how to configure what on the proxy software.) Guess I'm repeating myself here ;-)
7) I read that there is a tool "certadmin". Is it provided with some other Sun software? (I think with the portal server, right?) I would love to get hold of a tool for really looking into the cert databases (not using the admin server functionality). I also heard of another tool, but don't recall its exact name -- something like idscertutil, or some other *certutil. Does this ring a bell with anybody?
I'm using proxy 3.6 SP6.
Any insights are welcome.
Thanks for your help,
StefanGerd,
Don't know which version of fetchmail comes with 10.3.x and 10.4.x respectively.
However, older versions would check for an SSL certificate in an opportunistic way and still go ahead if there wasn't one. More recent versions will interrupt comunications.
In other words, since you do not use SSL you must disable it in fetchmail. If I remember correctly (not 100% sure), you must add:
sslproto ''
to .fetchmailrc

Hi Gurus,
I wanted to generate a certificate before the shipping is done. So what all the transactions to be followed to generate a certificate, including SD devlievery transctions.
I followed this steps
1. Certificate profile
2. Certificate assignment
3. certificate recipient
So what are the next steps to be followed. Please advice.
Thanks in advance,

Hi sap gurus,
My client sends a material from his factory to vendor place and after completion of work, Vendor will send to customer. Before sent to customer he has to send a Test certificate to my ckient factory then Q.A. Dept will give a clearance, then he has to send a material to customer. Can anybody tell me how to address in SAP
Cheers,
KrishnaHi,
Activate the material for QM with control key which specifies the requirement of Quality Certificate.
Activate enhanded certificate profile in your customizing in Quality Certificate. Also you may opt to select 'No certificate check at GR'.
Then ask your vendor to send the material certificate. Quality personnel will check the material & enter the same in transaction QC51 against the purchase order number.
After the confirmation of certificate receipt from Quality personnel, you nay ask vendor to send material.
Hope this clears your query.

hi,
When i am doing the QA11 a record usages decision , and when i put an UD Code in defect tab it show me an status check error pop up, and in detail information a red indicator shows "Certif.confirmation missing"
Please suggest what to do
Regards
Maashish>You have made QM in procurement active for the material. In which you have assigned a control key which requires quality certificate from the vendor. You have to confirm the receipt of the certificate.
A key for the certificate type will also be stored in the QM view of the material master at plant level.
Use QC51 to create the certificate receipt incoming.
Hi Maashish,
Is my post not readable to you???? -
Error while receiving message from partner.
HI All,
i am having interface Thrid Party -- > XI -- > SAP
We are using AS2 adapter at sender side and IDOC as receiver end.
My scenerio was working fine till quality server and when we went live message started failing in seburger workbench.
AS2 message: DECRYPTION_ERROR
While when we are sending EDI message to same partner its working fine.
Can any one help me on this.Do you mean that you use same Decryptoin certificate for both Quality and Production server? Confirm this from your partner. Also, this certificate should be present in Visual Admin/NWA of your production PI server and the name used while importing should be exactly same as the name mentioned in the channel.

Lower deduction of TDS for Vendors
Dear Experts,
My client requirement is,when the vendor gets an exemption certificate from income tax authority for a certain percentage for a particular Threshold limit after that the system has to calculate the normal TDS rate.
I have gone through the different thread but could not find the proper solution.
Please guide how to configure the system to calculate TDS for a lower percentage upto the threshold limit...after that normal TDS should apply.
Regards,
Venkat.Hi,
You can maintain exemption % in vendor master but there is no feature to define the limit and deduct tax as per the limit.
You can meet this requirement by defining formula in the path IMG - FA - FA Global settings - WHT - Extended WHT - Calculation - WHT codes - Define formulas for calculating WHT.
Here you can define the reduced tax rates and exempted amount to be deducted for the tax type & code combination.

QM in procurement - Inspect partial quantity
Hello all,
In our incoming quality process we have the following requirement: when we do the GR we want only part of the lot to be put in quality stock. The rest should go to unrestricted use.
Samples don't seem to cover this requirement.
Do have any idea on how to solve this issue?
Thanks!
IsabelleNo. There is not a standard way to do what you want to do.
If you want all the material to go to unrestricted inventory anyway, and you don't consume the material in testing, why does it matter if the sample qty shows in the QI stock anyway? Your sampling procedure should indicate the amounts/numbers needed for testing and the sample drawing procedures can be printed out for reference. This information is also readily available in various screens so a tech can easily see the qtys required.
If you really want to get it to QI you can try to work the system in two ways.
First, specify that all material go to unrestricted inventory in the settings for the inspeciton type. Then you can try one of these two.
1) Create a sampling procedure such that you allocate x amount of product to destructive testing. (i.e control indicators on at least one test indicate destructive testing)
2) Specify a qty for reserve samples.
I'm not sure exactly how the system will behave in these cases with the bulk of the material going directly to unrestricted as I have never had to try it!
In case one, the system will want to consume the material and might not allow you to post it on the stock posting screen. (Don't know if you'll even have this screen available since it all went to unrestricted, but it might since there is a chance you don't destroy all the sample)
In case two, again, I'm not sure if you'll have the stock posting screen or not. If you do, you can maybe post the material to stock instead of reserves at this point.
Let us know how you make out.
