Certificate of Good Standing Flag

All - I have the following requirement -
AS part of compliance the Legal team for new hires in the Legal dept. requires that a new recruit in the legal team submits a certificate of good standing. They want to maintain a Flag for this in SAP for tracking purposes. My suggestion would be a subtype on IT0105. any other recomendation will be highly welcomed.
Thanks a million!!

IT 0105, 0185, 0034, 0033 are all possible.
0033 requires a little in-depth configuration (something that one does not need to bother about with the other infotypes).
However, this certificate seems to be treated as a qualification, rather than just a placeholder for data. Do consider creating a qualification object for this too.

  • Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt - FAIR

    Hi Guys,
I’m after some advice with regards to the QM module.
We implemented QM last year to support our incoming inspection process flow.
The following dynamic rules were created via TCODE QDR1
    Z01       Inspection Always
    Z02       3 Inspections Plus Annual
    Z03       One Off Inspection
In the material master we have actived the inspection type 01.
    Next steps:
    Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt
We would like to set the certification flag to identify that a first article inspection report (FAIR) is required from goods externally procured.
Today all vendors are required to provide a FAIR with the 1st off receipt for a new material or items which have not been delivered for more than 12mths.
Is it possible to set/create much a rule in QM for the 1st del to be flagged certificate required?
    My initial thoughts were
    1. To setup quality information records for each material + vendor with the certificate “FAIR”.
    2. Then create and assign an inspection plan for the first off delivery.
    Problems I can see,
    1.     The certificate is only required for the first delivery regardless if the material requires a  2nd 3rd or 4th del to be inspected
    2.     How to apply the settings and reset them when a FAIR requirement (Annual)
    3.     Creation of this rule would have to accommodate the current QM rules not impact?
Has anyone implement certifications in this way or could they suggest a way it could be managed.
    Many Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Craig,
First thanks for the information on DMR this has solved the problem.
I do have a second question if you could it would be appreciated.
Can you change the QM control key for a PO.
In the material master I've activate QM with control key 0000 no certificate required
After raising a PO a change note is then released under this circumstances the vendors are required to provide a certificate with the PO.
To mange this I would like to change the control key in the PO - I get the error message.
Control key Z001 cannot be used here
    Message no. ME554
    Diagnosis
You wish to change the control key for quality management in procurement. Only the following changes are allowed:
Set current control key  from material
Set existing control key of item 0000
    Procedure
Is it possible to change the key at direct in the PO?
    Thanks

  • A cautionary tale - being a long time VZW customer in good standing gets you nowhere

Here is a cautionary tale about how being a long time VZW customer in good standing counts for nothing.
My wife and I have been VZW customers for many years.  We each have upgraded phones at least two times over our initial models.  Several years ago, we added a third phone to our account: nothing fancy, just a crappy Coupe flip phone.  At the time, this third phone was a $10 add-on in the family plan, and was handed to my mother in law to use.    After my mother in law passed away, my father in law kept the phone, and we kept up the payments for it.  His health failed, and when he passed away, the phone moved to my brother in law, and we again kept up the payments on the phone ourselves.
Now in the meantime, back in 2011, my wife wanted to upgrade her phone.  Either because her prior phone wasn't up for an upgrade or due to us just not paying attention, we somehow apparently "transferred" the upgrade that available for our in-laws' definitely-not-smart flip phone to my wife's phone.  Now, since it was the upgrade of the $10 per-month flip phone we used to upgrade the Droid, it was the contract of the $10-per-month flip phone that got renewed into another 2-year cycle - not the Droid.
Also in the meantime, I upgraded my Samsung Rogue to a Galaxy S3.  At the same time, I modified our plan to the Share Everything plan.  Because of the nature of this plan, the 3rd phone, the crappy Coupe flip phone, that used to be $10 per month increased to $30 per month.  When I signed my own new contract, I specifically asked at the VZW store whether it would be simple to drop the Coupe from the plan, because I was not sure how much longer our brother in law would need it.  They said sure, it would not be a problem.  Drop it whenever you need to, and your bill will go down $30 per month!
Now we come to the end of 2012 when my brother in law does not need this phone anymore, and in fact returned it to us.  It is sitting here collecting dust.  I called VZW today to remove it from our account.  Can you see where this is going?  Because we triggered the new contract for this phone by upgrading my wife's OTHER phone back in 2011, the Coupe is still under contract.  So our choice is apparently keep paying $30 per month until June for a phone that used to only cost $10 per month and that no one is using, or pay a $150 termination fee.
I understand how this works contractually.  But the big picture is that we have been good customers for many years, have been paying for 3 phones on our account for several of those years, and one of those phones is no longer being used (the usage is literally 0).  But can we drop that phone from our contract now that we have been paying on it for multiple years?  Nooooo.  I was misled by VZW agents when I upgraded our plan to one that increased the cost of this phone from $10 per month to $30 per month that removing it would not be a problem.   A cheap flip-phone phone, which is probably physically worth $5 in hardware, if that, and which itself has never been upgraded since it was purchased several years ago, cannot be removed from our account. When it's all said and done we will end up paying vastly more than the phone and its usage is actually worth because VZW "got us" with the contract shenanigans. Congratulations, Verizon Wireless, well played.
Ironically, the Droid - which gets lots of usage - is beyond its upgrade date and is no longer under contract.  So I guess we could drop that phone with no problem.  But we don't want to, we want to drop the cheap phone that no one uses.  And we can't.  As I said to the agent on the phone today who was not interested in helping a long time customer solve a problem, this is exactly why people hate cell phone companies.

I'm not *too* worried about VZW's feelings since they in effect have changed up the original contract when they forced my monthly fee for the phone to go from $10 per month to $30 per month because I upgraded a totally different phone that required a whole new calling plan, as the older plan had conveniently been phased out.  (Interesting how action on one phone has an effect on totally different phones that are on a totally different contract.)  Anyway, this isn't us trying to bilk VZW out of legitimate income.  It's trying to do what makes sense.
Perhaps I muddied the water with all the history of the third phone.  The distilled version is this: We have 3 phones on our account, two smart phones and one ancient flip phone.  Only two of the three are still under contract, so there is one we are free to drop at any time.  And we would indeed like to drop one phone from the account.  It would be in VZWs best interest to have the phone we drop be the one they make the least amount of money from.  That would be the flip phone.  It is in our best interest to drop the phone that is no longer in use.  That is the flip phone.  Seems like a win-win situation to me!
But because of the the way contracts are structured,  if we are to drop a phone, it needs to be the Droid, because that's the one now beyond the contract period.  So we would drop the phone that VZW makes more money from, and that we still use.  This is in the best interest of neither of us.
Yes, I'm trying to terminate early the contract we have on the flip phone.  But on the other hand, we are willing to continue making monthly payments on a more expensive phone that is NOT under contract anymore.  It seems like there's an easy fix: let us drop the flip phone, and heck, go ahead and put the Droid back onto contract for what would have been the duration of the flip phone contract. The inflexibility and inability to do something like this is what's irritating.
Contracts are great until there is a reason for both parties to make a change that is beneficial to everyone involved.  I think that's what we have here.  Contracts can be updated.  Ask any professional athlete

  • Good Stand For Macbook Air

    Hey,
I'm looking for a good stand for the MBA. One not to large.
Anyone currently using any of the following (or suggest others)
    Logitech Alto Connect
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/notebook_products/stands/devices/3074&cl=roeu, en
Concern, the back end it might stick out too much behind the MBA.
    Plus, built in USB Hub.
    Raindesigninc.com MStand
    http://www.raindesigninc.com/mstand.html
Like the simplistic design, goes well with MAC setup, curious how it looks with cables.
Looking forward to your opinions helping me make a purchase decision.
    Cheers!

I don't like either of these because neither of the stands can really be adjusted. My favourite stand of all time is this (which is better than any stand I have seen sold in the U.S.)
    http://www.powersupportusa.com/products/ergo-mbpro.php?category=mb
This stand is made by a Japanese company. However, it may not work with the MacBook Air because of the location of the power plug. I could be wrong though. I own the stand but I don't own a MacBook Air so I can't say if it does or doesn't fit.

  • Good stand for Macbook pro 15"

I am looking for a good stand for playing live. Tired of using whatever I can muster up at each show.

what do you mean by a stand? a keyboard stand kind of thing that goes on the floor? or a laptop stand that you can sit on a table?
I use an icurve stand on my desk for my MBP, which is perfectly fine for putting the screen at eye level. I use a wireless keyboard and wireless mighty mouse, so for all intents and purposes, my MBP pretends to be a desktop machine. but, this kind of thing might be dicey for live use cos the MBP just sits on it, in a live concert environment it could maybe fall off, depending on how hardcore the mosh pit gets and how many stage divers you encounter.
what about straps so you can hang it in front of you from your shoulders like an accordion?...
ok maybe not. but I did see another brand of laptop stand thingy other than the icurve in a store once, that was made of metal and seemed quite ok. you could probably get something like this and then get a keyboard stand and put it on top of that. or, you could use a keyboard stand and get a plank of wood or some kind of table top to put on it, so you can put your MBP and mixer and whatever else on it.

  • Certificate at Goods Reciept without QA

    Hi Gurus,
How do you manage materials with certificate at goods receipts without QM?
    Regards,
    Joel

You have to create the QM view and turn on the "QM in proc. active" indicator.  Then select a control key that is configured to require a certificate at GR and specify the certificate.   You will need to specify a control key for each plant the material is extended to.
You do not need to activate any inspection types.  So no QM data is required.
    The certificate functionality should work.

  • Certificate at Goods Reciept without QM system

    Hi Gurus,
is it possible to manage Items (stock and non stock) that come with certificate at goods receipt without QM system. We want to to be able to stop the goods reciept if there is no quality certificate.
    Regards,
    Joel

You can still use the QM in purchasing features.  You don't have to set up any inspection types.  You will need a QM view.
On the QM view, activate QM in procurement and then simply specify a control key that requires a cert to be receieved at delivery.  For the control key in configuration , set the error message to "Error" and not warning.

Hi I Have A Prepaid Smart Phone Right Now With Verizon For About 7-Months So Far. I Have Always Paid On Time No Missed Payments Good Standing Account, I Tried To Switch Over To A 2-Year Contract With Verizon And They Wanted A $400 Deposit For Only 1-Line. Is There Anyway I Can Use My Excellent Payment History With There Prepaid Department To Switch To A 2-Year Contract And Not Have To Pay The $400 Deposit. And This Is Due To The Fact I Have No Credit History Whatsoever

Since you have no credit history, my guess is you would need at least a year of on time payments, and I'm not sure a pre-paid account would qualify as you can stop at any time.
You didn't specify your age, but getting started int he credit world is not easy - you may try applying for a gas card, or a credit card, and USE them, pay them off each month - and expect to take a year or more to establish a record.

  • Anyone gentoo linux ? I seek for a good use flags set

I install funtoo (gentoo with the stage file from here) stage 1 on my box
The system is my notebook - a thinkpad core duo
Im teenager in the sense of things I need from it - to be fast and lightweight (at very least as fast as arch default minimalistic install), compatible with everything, capable of p2ping wireless when I skateboard with it, have all needed stuff inside but not be bloated (boot / response time), and be as cool as linux can be
I prefer KDE 3.5 desktop. No gnome. Some *boxes but i dont need full functionality in them.
I dont accept any proprietary stuff on the computer. I may accept a binary firmware file to be uploaded to a device (with a )  but strict 'no' to blobs etc
Things that are patented but implemented entirely in open source (like linux mp3 support) are considered free (there are no sw patents where I live)
Plz paste them here from make.conf
CFLAGS etc will be accepted and thanked too

Also, what about computer games?  Those are proprietary, usually for good reason
I use open source cause i like it. To me heaving a 'clean' computer is kinda proof of concept that I can live my way and not depend on stuff I dont like
Some closed software I simply dont trust. This includes skype and some wireless drivers
If a friend of mine wants to talk with me via skipe I tell him to install any SIP client from the list in wikipedia
I have an intel ipw3945 wireless card in the laptop. I just did not install it. Now when there is at last a driver without blobs (except an image that is blindly uploaded into the card) I accept this
I really dont play any computer games. I didnt play them (except some old dos games) when I used windows either
