Certificate Outlook message error

Hi
We recently made a change to our certificate that go daddy provides removing our server names from the certificate due to GODaddy's request. Therefore only using the mail.XXXX.com or bb.XXXX.com on the certificate.  We have an Exchange 2007 server and
2013 server. Both having the same issue. Now few of the users are getting below pop message daily.
CHX006XXX122(it's our server name)
Information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed or
changed by others. However, there is a problem with the site's security certificate.
x The security certificate is from a trusted certifying authority
x The security certificate has expired or is not yet vaild
x The name on the security certificate is invalid or does
not match the name of the site.
Do you want to proceed... When
I choose the View Certificate button, it brings up another window that shows you what certificate is in error. In this case, the certificate name is “mail.XXXXXXXX.com”. Which looks correct.
The issue goes
away if I recreate the profile in mail settings. Any reason why this is happening? This is happening to Exchange 2007 users and 2013.
Any
suggested will be appreciated! I just don't want to recreate everyone's mail profile.Mind
you, we don't receive any errors when we access OWA...

  • Message error when I synchronize my BB with Outlook

    Hi everybody,
from today, when I synchronize my BB (Torch 9800, OS 6), with Outlook 2007, I always have this message error "0x8386006e".
Before I didn't have any prob.
    Desktop manager version is "6.1.036".
    Could somebody help me?
    Thanks in advance
    Patrick

At the end, I solved the prob.
It was due to the app called "Pocket informant", so I deleted this app from my BB and now I don't have any message.
It seems that there are prob when this app synchronizes the tasks.

    Hi there,
There are lots and lots of threads in these forums of folks that are either 1) angry in that they thing RIM is going too slow or 2) truly trying to help each other out. The formal response is that 2010 is not yet supported by the RIM DTM software and no expectation of when that shall happen can be provided.
    Good luck!

  • Exchange 2010 / Outlook 2010 after renewing ssl cert outlook throws errors saying using old certificate

I recently renewed my ssl certificate, but when I did outlook starting throwing me the security alert saying that the certificate is expired and the names do not match.  When I click view certificate it shows my old certificate from like 3 years ago,
    so like 2 certificates back.
I went into mmc, and it wasn't there, I looked in IIs and the certificate outlook is referencing is still not there.
my autodiscover and oof isn't working now either.
When i go to look at what exchange powershell is doing it shows the correct information, but that doesn't seem to be making it down to the clients.

  • Outlook Sync Error SOLVED - Multi-day repeating appointment cannot be converted for use on the Handheld...

*UPDATE 1/23/2009 07:08 AM* This is a partial fix. I no longer think the Recurrence Range is the culprit. It seems the Time Zones features between Outlook & Palm are not cooperating. This explains why my 12 am events are syncing as 6 pm the day before; I live in GMT-6:00 so it's moving my events ahead by 6 hours. Another event I set for 1 pm in Outlook was changed to 7 am on my Treo. I am going to start over and recreate each event, this time setting the Time Zones, which I hadn't done before. I tested it out and it worked with a single event... let's see how long it lasts. I've also found that using 'No Time' on my Treo is not compatible with Outlook. It's better to set a time with 0 minutes duration.
*UPDATE 1/23/2009 04:11 AM* This is a partial fix. My monthly and yearly problematic recurring events are now showing up at 6 pm the day before on my Treo, though my Outlook calendar is fine. I think this has to do with the Recurrence Range Start/End in Outlook, which is set automatically. If only there were a way to change this...
After a WHOLE LOTTA trial-and-error (like 3 days worth), I think I finally solved my OLERR:14-001 issue!

The multi-day repeating appointment titled [event] beginning [date] [time] cannot be converted for use on the Handheld. Please divide the appointment up into single-days and re-synchronize.
     OLERR:14-0001
    - Desktop overwrite HH Sync
Note: You will likely have several of these ‘Multi-day’ instances in your hotsync log (I had 58). You may want to change Calendar in hotsync to "Desktop overwrites Handheld" after you get this error, to avoid erasing events while you are fixing this issue. Otherwise, you may have to restore them from a backup copy (if you have one) and start over. You can switch back once you’re through.
Solution: First, I tried this Palm KB Article: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/NUA/launchKB.asp?c=31167. After this didn’t work for me… I did trial-and-error. I believe the problem is that each recurring event, which you set up as ‘All-day’, must be changed to have a duration of 0 minutes from within Outlook. I was able to change some events directly, but I found that some of the records had corrupted, and would just revert. My fool-proof solution was to recreate EVERY problematic event (yes, one-by-one) using the following steps:
    Open Outlook
Go to your default calendar, where your events are synced
In the top menu choose ‘View’ > ‘Current View’ > ‘Recurring Appointments’
    Open a ‘New Appointment’
Enter subject and other options, such as Categorize, Importance, Time Zones, or Reminder
Make sure starting and ending date & time are the EXACT same
Select ‘Recurrence’ & choose your pattern
I did not choose ‘No end date’ (hence the Palm article), but rather ‘End by:’ and typed in 2031, then pressed tab to auto-generate a suitable end date. I chose 2031 because that is last year my Treo’s calendar goes to. Click OK
Repeat for every event in your error log, until you get a clean "Desktop overwrites Handheld" hotsync (Outlook should be closed when you sync)
Switch Calendar in hotsync back to "Synchronize"
Even though I still get the message OLERR14:001, my syncs are successful. Now I will give my Treo time to see if the issue returns later. Until then, happy Outlook syncing and good luck!

    hello,
if all of your data is on the phone you can change the sync action to handhled overwrites desktop
    how to:
    open palm desktop software
on the top left click on 'hotsync' and then 'custom'
    on the calendar conduit
highlight it and click on 'change'
    then choose 'handhled overwrites desktop'
    hope this will help you

  • Random "The Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook" message

I've looked and looked again and cannot find any solution to this issue...There are plenty of posts related to this error message however none of the resolutions work for me.
We have a cluster of 3 MS Exchange Server 2010 SP2 RU2 machines with CAS, HT and Mailbox roles installed on all 3. Those 3 machines form a DAG and are behind a CAS Array. This is done using a pair of  Riverbed
    Stingray Traffic Manager appliances.
The above error message keeps popping up randomly on my users' workstations running Outlook 2010 with cache mode enabled (Outllok 2007 users do not have this issue). It pops up when nothing is being done to the platform...i.e. I'm not moving any mailboxes,
not activating nor suspending any mailbox databases, not updating the rpcclientaccessserver attribute on any databases (that property is configured correctly on all my databases...). We have SP2 RU2 installed which means that the message should only pop up
    if the conditions in
THIS ARTICLE are observed and none of them are when our users see the message...
Next thing on my elimination process is the load balancers...I've read about some admins having this issue when using Barracuda LBs for their CAS array (see
this thread). I thought about session persistence settings not working properly but after some testing I figured out it doesn't make any difference if I use 'Source IP' or 'Cookie Based' as my persistence method for various services (OWA, MAPI, etc). The
end users still see the message popping up randomly. Can anyone confirm Source IP is better? Or shall I stick with Cookie based for OWA services? Also I'm offloading SSL on the load balancers but I fail to see how this would be a problem. It's configured OK
as per MS' SSL offloading guidance.
Those users use Public Folders and my PF store reside on one of our servers only (as we are in a DAG). Because we have all 3 roles installed on all 3 servers, users can potentially connect to either 3 (if we assume that session persistence is not working
properly). Could this be an issue?
The pop ups are so random that I'm running out of ideas on how to troubleshoot this...
Has anyone got any idea at all?
Other things I've tried or checked:
    - tested Outlook connectivity OK
    - modified pool and service settings on my load balancers to check if those triggered the pop up, to no avail (only when I switch the main virtual IP from one traffic manager to the other the message pops up, but that is to be expected!)
    - tried disabling the 'show Exchange messages' option on the client side (which is obviously not ideal...but the pop up still occurs anyway)
    Regards, Raphael

I have left a laptop on for a number of days with a test account logged in to Outlook 2010 (with modified hosts file to bypass the load balancers, e.g. always hit the same node). The message never popped up. This can certainly be a clue however unfortunately
it doesn't 100% mean that the issue comes from the LBs as some users get the message randomly with sometimes more than 2 weeks apart...
Another thing that we thought maybe a problem is we have noticed that this problem occurs more for people with laptops with both Ethernet and Wifi adapters plugged in at the same time. Those users un-dock their laptop to go to a meeting for example, and
the wireless connection kicks in, then dock it back in to their docking station and the wireless connections stays on, as well as their Ethernet one. This sometimes changes the state of their Outlook connection status from TCP/IP to HTTPS and vice versa. This
also depends on if the office LAN is running slow or not at the time. But surely I would have thought switching client IP address all the time may be an issue? Does anyone know if this could be a problem when connecting to a CAS Array/DAG Exchange platform?
On the other hand I have tested having both connections on on that test laptop and the message never popped up. But yet again I was bypassing the load balancers.
Their RPC over HTTPS Exchange Proxy Settings are all set with:
    - On fast networks connect using HTTP first then TCP/IP - disabled
    - On slow networks connect using HTTP first then TCP/IP - enabled
I have a case open with our load balancer vendor and their Exchange expert is supposed to get in touch with me to review all the settings and Exchange config. I'll update this ticket if we can find more clues, or ideally, a solution to this issue!
    Hi Greg,
I do face the same problem - running two node E14 SP2 RU2 DAG after moving 2600 mailboxes last weekend. We bypass the F5 already - still the same issue using Outlook 2003/2007/2010 clients where randomly choosen ones do get the restart outlook message (at
least we couldn't find a pattern). Also clients with mailboxes moved three weeks ago are affected. Both E14 multirole (C/H/M) have a replica for PF. There is one Exchange 2003 two cluster node left with around 350 mailboxes. Could it be caused by some sort
    of Outlook Add-In?
    many thanks
tiZ.A: Thanks for giving me some sanity back :-) I'm not the only one to whom this happens! do you know that moving mailboxes between databases is one of the legitimate reasons why this message would pop up for? (ref: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2011/01/24/3411868.aspx)
The strange thing is that for you it doesn't seem to happen for ALL your mailbox users, but just random ones? Also we only have noticed this issue with Outlook 2010 clients ONLY. No 2003/2007 ones.
    Regards, Raphael

  • HTML form message error in Internet Explorer

    Hi,
While in the IE browser and at any website I try to do a search or complete a form and submit it. A message error appears saying becuase of security zones I cannot send a html form. I have gone into IE preferences and MacOS preferences to find anything about security zones or how to fix this problem...no luck....
    Can you please help? Thanks!

There's a known bug in IE (going back to OS 9 days) in that IE doesn't properly present security certificates. Since Microsoft long ago dropped all pretense of supporting IE, your only real option is another browser, such as Safari or Firefox.
Note that some sites that require IE actually do require IE in that they use ActiveX (but those are Windows sites) or because they use IE's non-standard HTMLarsing and choke on browsers that play by the HTML rules. However, a lot of "IE only" sites are set that way from either laziness on the part of the programmers or a desire to avoid having to check the website against any other browser (which amounts to the same thing). Such sites check the client's 'user agent' nd reject non-IE browsers, but arbitarily. You can use Safari / Firefox / et al. to visit such site by having your browser lie and present itself as IE when the host site checks the user agent. For Safari you can use Safari Enhancer to enable the Debug Menu, then use the User Agent command; in Firefox, use the Get Extensions menu tool to download IE View (there are equivalant tricks for other Mac browsers).

  • PC Sync was unable to locate your Outlook message ...

I recently installed PC suite on my PC.  I am trying to sync with Outook MS exchange.  So far, I have been unable to do so.  I receive a "PC Sync was unable to locate your Outlook message store" error message.  By searching this board, it appears that this is a fairly common problem.  I have tried several of the workarounds discussed here:
    1) unisntall / re-install software - no luck
    2) create another mail profile - no luck
    3) sync to non MS exchange Outlook datafiles - no luck
At this point, I'm thinking of giving up on ever getting PC suite to work.
    A few details:
    E71x phone
    PC suite 7.1.40.1
The PC has Outlook 2003 and I use an MS exchange mail server
I have never had any nokia products on it prior to my attempts.
Connecting via USB (no errrors or problems reported with this)
Does anyone have a bonafide solution for this?  This really sounds like buggy software to me.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

OK, since I haven't seen an answer to this problem, I decided to dig further.
    1) Nokia makes another software called OVI suite.  It is supposed to replace PC Suite
    2) I went to the nokia usa website.  No compatability is lised for the E71x.
    3) When I went to the europe site, there was so I downloaded v2.0 from there
    4) installed it and it works great!  Can sync to outlook using MS Exchange
In short, dump your PC suite and go to get OVI Suite.  For some reason, more phones are listed as compatabile if you download it from the europe site here: http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite

    Hello Daniela,
you try to perform an offline backup (which is a very uncommon way nowadays) and your SAP system is not down.
This is also described in the official documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/0d/d309664a0c11d182b80000e829fbfe/content.htm
offline: Database backup in offline mode, in other words, the database is shut down during backup. When you select this parameter, BRBACKUP checks that no SAP system users are connected to the database. If an SAP System is active, the database is not shut down and BRBACKUP terminates the process with an error message (message number BR0068E).
    Regards
