  • Problem downloading Patch : 5985072 for Discoverer

    Hello,
I faced a problem while downloading Patch : 5985072 for Discoverer 10g. It is asking for a password to download this patch. Please guide me that where I can get this password.
Because downloading this patch is important as applying this patch and one more Patch i.e. 4960210 allow Oracle Application users to login to Discoverer Administrator and Discoverer Desktop. So please guide.
    Thank You.
    Regards,

    Hi,
You will have to raise an Oracle support service request to obtain the password for this patch. This patch is not generally available and can only be download using a password that changes from time to time.

  • Problems downloading patches (automated)

I've been working with a number of machines and have a continued problem trying to download patches from the sunsolve.sun.com patch server system. Ever since the new update that requires you to "accept", the system pretty consistantly cannot find patch files that I'm requesting. Some examples include the following patches that seem to only work 1 out of 15 tries.... (so it does eventually work in most cases, but typically the sun server is failing. Pretty lousy for a paid for service).
    127719-01
    126257-02
    119795-06
There are more, but its a pain to type them all (I have about 20 I'm trying to bring down to a proxy server since its way too painful to actually get these all from sun directly).
    Marcos

smpatch(1m), due to its java dependency, is unfortunately not an option for me. Downloading via a "light-weight" wget(1) from http://sunsolve.sun.com/private-cgi/pdownload.pl?target=<patchid> have worked just fine for many years and still does for most patches, but for certain patchid's (i.e. 119689 or 125081) you now have to specify also the patch's revision (i.e. 119689-04), otherwise you'll get "ERROR 404: Not Found". It seems like patchid links to its latest patches are missing. The other problem is the "SunSolve Boundry System Queue Limit Exceeded" error which I sometimes get when I'm forced to manually download via http at the patch README page after the (automated) wget method has failed. BTW, I've also run into patch dependency being broken, i.e. for 120199-11 and other patches which depend on a non-existing patch 126677-01.

  • SunSolve Issues and Problem Downloading Patches

Signed up for a SunSolve account a couple days ago and then purchased a 1 Year Standard Subscription today so that I could download patches and what-not.
I activated the subscription and then added it to my SunSolve account.
I then tried to download some patches like the one below with no success.
NAME: Solaris 10_x86 Recommended Patch Cluster
    DATE: Aug/13/07
When I try to download a patch I get the following message across the top of the window.
You are logged in to SunSolve but are not associated with a valid contract. You have access to Free Patches and Content only.
I have had no luck with phone calls or emails I need some help ASAP as I have to ship this server out tomorrow.

I'm afraid that this forum is for issues with patch manager/smpatch/update manager.
You may want to send an email to [email protected] for support in this matter.

  • Problem downloading Patch Set Oracle 10.2.0.5 from SAP Service Market Place

As mentioned in SAP Note 871735:
    Oracle patch set 10.2.0.5
To navigate to the DVD download:
    1. On the right-hand side under 'Software Download', select the relevant
    software variant:
    - Oracle 10.2 software (64-bit)
    - Oracle 10.2 software (32-bit)
    2. Choose 'Installation'.
    3. Select your platform.
    4. Choose 'Oracle'.
    5. Select the relevant ORACLE RDBMS DVDs.
    6. Add the DVD to the 'Download Basket'.
However, when I click on the "Oracle 10.2 software (64-bit)", the right-hand side of the page goes blank and just says Oracle on top? In the search, I also can't find the 51040057_4.
Is it due to the SAP Service Marketplace account restrictions or what?
We have our SAP on DB2.

We have our SAP on DB2
This could be the reason as to why you are not able to download Oracle patches.

  • Problems downloading patches

    Hello all,
I have installed patch 119788-07 on my UC proxy server and patch 121118-10 on a couple of Sol 10 clients. I have also set the URLs as described in other forum threads to:
    UCProxy # patchsvr setup -l
    Patch source URL: https://getupdates1.sun.com/
    UCClient # smpatch get patchpro.patch.source
patchpro.patch.source   http://UCProxy:3816/However I am still unable to recover the patches. I get the message:
    UCClient # smpatch download
Failure: Cannot connect to retrieve current.zip: Service UnavailableThe old Sol 8 & 9 clients appear to be working correctly.
Any suggestions as to what I can try next?

    Thanks for the reply,
smpatch analyze shows the expected list of outstanding patches but smpatch download shows "This patch could not be found" for every patch.
/var/sadm/spool/patchsvr contains directories and some files like
    .%2Fall_signed%2F118677-03.jar
    and others.
The logs do not show any specific errors that I can see.
How can I clear all cache on the UC Proxy so that it will start from scratch again?

I am trying to download the free trial of Acrobat XI. I am using an iMac running Mac OSX 10.6.8. When I click on the Installer I have downloaded for Adobe Download Assistant, it gives me the following error message while trying to open/install the Download Assistant:s
    Sorry, an error has occured.

Lmslugo please move your current installation to the trash can, empty the trash, and reinstall.  This should give you a new copy of the application with a current certificate.

  • Problem Downloading Extra GarageBand Loops

Just bought a new iMac and ran into a problem downloading the extra greyed out loops. The issue occurred because I upgraded GarageBand through Software Update before downloading the extra files. After the upgrade Software Update no longer gives you an opportunity to download the loops even though they are still greyed out in the loops window.
The solution was a re-install of GarageBand from CD, & avoiding software update until the extra files were downloaded.

I just ran into this and managed to solve it, but it was a pain.  Here's my situation:
    New iMac 27 inch
Used Migration Assistant to transfer all user accounts, user files, and applications off of an older (late 2006) iMac that had been upgraded to Snow Leopard and iLife '09
When trying to install the full set of Apple Loops and Software Instruments, I got the infamous "run Software Update but nothing ever downloads" problem.  After doing a lot of looking on these boards and elsewhere, I decided to uninstall GarageBand '11 and reinstall.  Uninstalling GarageBand '11 is a pain too; here's what I did:
Deleted GarageBand from the Applications folder
    Deleted the /Library/Application Support/GarageBand folder
Deleted the /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Apple Loops for GarageBand folder
Deleted anything related to GarageBand in /Library/Receipts
And everything in ~/Library/Application Support/GarageBand (this is optional I think)
I then reinstalled GarageBand from the second install disk that came with my new computer, fired up GarageBand, and downloaded the recommended update.  Finally, I opened up a new Loops project; in the Loops Browser, selected one of the missing loops; got the "run Software Update now or later" dialog, and said "Later"; quit GarageBand.  Finally, I opened Software Update, and lo and behold! the near-mythical GarageBand Loops and SW Instruments update was there, all 1.2 GB of it!
I wish that Apple would come out with a patch for this, but in the meantime, if you're situation is similar to mine (upgraded GarageBand '11), you might try the deinstall / reinstall route and see if it works...

  • Cannot open install assistant.  I get this error message: The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Pleas

How can I downloade a trial of Adobe Elements 12?
I followed the instructions to download assistant...but get this message: The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Please contact the application author.

    Hi alposer,
Please remove the copy of the Adobe Download Assistant you currently have installed and then reinstall the Adobe Download Assistant.

  • Re: Satellite A300-E00 - Can't download patches or updates

    Hey guys.
My brother has a A300/E00. It connects to the internet (he can google, go on facebook etc) but it wont download patches or updates for games (wow,sc2) or software(adobe).
Does this sound like a software or hardware problem? He hasn't changed any of his software or their settings. Thanks in advance.
    Peace.

    Hi ThePathMaker,
I think you must be a little bit more specific.
Why you cant download patches or updates? Do you get an error message or what happens exactly?
For me it sounds like that antivirus or firewall is blocking downloads. You should check the options and enable downloads!
    Furthermore test different Internet Browsers!

how to download patch 3006854 for free?

First you need a valid support contract, then you can access/download the patch for Bug 3006854.
If you (your company) dont have paid Support you may want to try to google for 'jakub jelinek less buggy jvm' and get the solution from Red Hat to create a 'dummy' lib for problem apps.

  • Downloading patches via ftp

    Hi
I found these instructions for downloading patches via ftp...
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-3331/6miuccqni?a=view
(Under section entitled "Example—Downloading and Applying a Signed Patch by Using ftp")
I tried to follow these, but cannot see a signed_patches directory?
Is this old method only relevant to Solaris 8 - and if so - what is the Solaris 10 equivalent method of downlaoding patches via ftp?
    Regards,

I don't think we're alone, but no one seems to have an answer. This thread seems to be a user having the same problem:

I'll keep working at a solution and will post if I can find one.
