New! Attachments - Upload files as part of a form submission

You can now add multiple file attachment fields to your forms to collect files from respondents. Almost all file formats are supported for upload including audio and video (executable and other such file types are not allowed). All files are virus scanned by the service.
You can add field restrictions that force respondents to upload files less than a certain size, upload multiple files and/or only upload certain file formats.
All of the data and files collected are acccessible from the View reponse tab.
Files from multiple respondents can be downloaded together within a single zip file by the author. When downloading, the author has the option of prefixing a field value to the filenames so they know which respondent submitted a file.
Attachments is available to both free and paid users, however, the maximum file size of all files submitted by one respondent is 100KB for free users and 20MB for paid users. There is no limit on the amount of overall file storage for a free or paid users.
Benefits
You no longer have to manage collecting data and files using different solutions – like filling out the form using FormsCentral and sending the files via email. Files and data can now be collected using a single method and everything is stored in one central place so managing the collection process is much easier.
Ensure that respondents provide the right number, size and type of files.
Example Use Cases
Employment Application – Job applicant needs to submit their resume with their application as a single PDF or Word file.
College Admission – High school student (or parents) need to submit an essay, high school transcript and reference letters with their admission form.
Grant Application – Applicant needs to submit a proposal document and pictures (JPG or PNG) of their previous work in order to be eligible for the grant.
Client Onboarding – Financial advisor needs to collect account information and investment documents from new clients.
Request for Proposal – Procurement department needs to collect bids from competing vendors. Vendors need to fill out a form with their company’s information, provide certification documentation and a detailed proposal document.
Conference Registration – Exhibitors and speakers need to provide a JPG or PNG head shot for the conference directory that is less than 1MB in size when registering.
Change Order – Engineering firm uses a change order form to manage changes to their engineering specs. Change orders routinely include videos, images or other drawings to support the requested change.

Right click in the cell corresponding to the attachment field in the View Responses response table and choose "Insert File" (also in the "Insert" menu). The column must correspond to an attachment type field or you will not see the "Insert File" option.

Unable to deploy BI java components

I am trying to deploy BI components on WAS-java. I get following error when trying to deploy files. Any clue?
Its using space in path between SAP and AG(/BI_MMR/SAP AG/1000.xxx). We are on Solaris. Any suggestions?

Large difference in the two levels. You need to look at the proper forum here on SDN, and got to SAP site and read the differences in the knowledge levels expected for Associate and Professional. If you're a WebDynpro and WebServices wizard, know some SOA and fluent in OO should have no problems, but you really need to look at the exam content and weighting in SAP certification documentation.

Use of Kodo 3.4 with WL 10.0

We migrate portal 8.1 app to portal 10.0 platform, where fair
portion of code is Solarmetric Kodo 3.4.0 based (JDO 1.0).
Since upgrade to BEA Kodo 4.1.3 (JDO 2.0) implies code/config
changes and extra license cost, we would prefer to continue
using current version of Kodo.

This is dated January 2009. More than likely, the later version of AS will work as (pretty much) all Oracle products will be backwards compatible. But, even within the certification matrix, Oracle states that not every possible combination has been tested.

Object names (object prefix + ID) must not exceed 40 characters?

Is there a limit to technical names length(object prefix + ID) in EP6.0?
The business packages certification documentation contains rule that technical names should not exceed 40 characters. Not sure why this is.

Without more detail, it will be difficult to accurately answer your question. "11g" is part of a product name and not a product version. Therefore helping you with certification information will be difficult. I will share information about the very latest versions. Older versions will have different certifications. You can look those up on your own in the Certification document(s) included below.
The following are certified:
Forms/Reports 11.1.1.7 - WebLogic Server 10.3.6
Forms/Reports 11.1.2.2 - WebLogic Server 10.3.6
Regarding the database, refer to the Certification documentation below. Be sure to reference the correct one for the Forms release you are using. Generally speaking, the XE databases are not certified, but can be used with limited support. Again, for exact versions, refer to the documentation.

Just an fyi to all:
Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4 are currently NOT certified nor supported with ANY Oracle Forms versions. Further, Oracle Jinitiator has been desupported and not supported with these browsers or on newer OSs like Vista or Win7. It is recommended that you upgrade to the Java Plugin
Once certification and support is approved for these versions, the related Forms certification documentation will be updated to reflect the change. Please do not contact Oracle Support regarding the use of IE9 or FF4 with Forms until such time as they have been approved for support.

If the site only accepts and works with IE then your only option is to use IE.<br />
You are on Windows, so that shouldn't be a problem. They do exclude users on other platforms (Linux, Mac) by being that restrictive.
You can use an extension like IE Tab or IE View to use the IE rendering engine in Firefox.

You can also attend sample tests in SAPdomain.com.
Just go through the F1 help of all the elements on the screen.
That will help you a lot.
Maintain a schedule for what you are preparing and what you want to do in th next days ,that will let you know the status of your preparation.

1Z0-052. Two big cert guides and official documentation - why so many contradictions ?

In this discussion i will compare two 1Z0-052 prepare certification guides (one of these is marked as "Oracle Press" !!!) and official Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) documentation (the exam "1Z0-052" has been validated against this documentation) in effort to understand why these sources have so many contradictions (direct and undirect).
Begin with this one :
1) "(Oracle Press) John Watson - OCA Oracle Database 11g: Administration I Exam Guide (Exam 1Z0-052)", "Chapter 2: Exploring the Database Architecture", page 54 :
"Note that from release 8i onward, checkpoints do NOT occur on log switch..."
2) "Oracle Database Concepts 11g Release 2 (11.2) Part Number E25789-01", "13 Oracle Database Instance", "When Oracle Database Initiates Checkpoints" :
Thread checkpoints OCCUR in the following situations:
- Consistent database shutdown
- ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT statement

it will be my sixth certification in the last 3 years (i have all major certifications in Java)... But it is the first time i see that the Official Documentation of the product doesn't reflect completely the Certification Preparation Guide (i'm not going to say that you book is wrong, i'm about the complete compliance).
I cannot place my questions in another oracle DBA forum, because there most frequently the responses are "If you see the Official Documentation you find that..." and now i know that Official Documentation sometimes mismatch for the exam.
You (and I) certainly know that the certification exam is the multiple-choice questions... If i will find the question :
When checkpoints occurs (select all valid questions) ?
1) Consistent database shutdown
2) Issue of "ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT" statement
5) Online redo log switch
after your explanation (see your first reply) now i know what can i must check and what i must not check, but before your explanation with small knowledges of database how can i be shure that your information is correct if the Official Documentation says the contrary ?
If i will find the question :
What is the checkpoint position ?
1) is the SCN (the System Change Number) in the redo stream where instance recovery must begin
2) ...
3) ...
If read only your book i cannot see SCN, i see RBA. How can i know that SCN and RBA are the same think if neither Oracle Documentation neither your book say that ? What another sources or guides i must have ?
And what about the location of the "alert_SID.log" file ?

But if i read Official Oracle documentation i select "DIAGNOSTIC_DEST", because i see :
"The parameter BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST is ignored by the new diagnosability infrastructure introduced in Oracle Database 11g Release 1 (11.1), which places trace and core files in a location controlled by the DIAGNOSTIC_DEST initialization parameter."
Therefore if i read you book i select "B", if i read documentation i select "A".

Certification topics for 1z0-051

I am preparing for the SQL fundamental exam 1z0-051. I am following the book :"OCA: Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate Study Guide: (Exams1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052) " by Biju Thomas.
Question: The exam topics in Oracle's certification website do not indicate subtopics. eg. Group functions is a topic listed but are sub-topics such as ROLLUP and CUBE part of the certification?

For anyone who has SQL experience, or has studied SQL as part of a WDP, or has a general SQL book already then either of the two books (+ their associated practice test in book and on CDROM should be adequate for 1z0-051:I did not get any testkit CDROM forr 007 even.as i am under WDP for 9i.

The first is usually cheaper, the second while more expensive also covers 1z0-052. I have seen the first book and it is adequate ; and I know of no reason why the second should not be adequate too. While for the self studying for OCA/OCP 10g/11g candidates i somtimes hint to people they should consider getting both Oracle Press and Sybex books; for this exam i tend to think this is not so necessary for most people.

This book is designed to cover 11g SQL in general. It is more orientated towards learning and reference. While not tied to an exam it does probably cover most (if not all) topics needed for 1z0-047. Probably most professionals would find it as easy to look up oracle documentation most of the time. I actually have it, mainly because I it was an easy way for me to get a grip on the newer ANSI join forms whcih I am less useful. I cant say its not useful, but certainly some people would find it of limited use and others are quite happy with it.This book still to come in local market(india).
Thanx.whatever..........but remember this sybex books have very little hands on practice.ie.hardly you will find a query that is left for your practice.All of questions in MCQ basis.
