Certification Procedure for Free TechEd Pass

Hi,
Can you let me know what is the Procedure for Attending the Certification incase if you are holding a Free TechEd Pass.
Best Regards
Vijay

Hi Vijay,
Even if you hold a free pass you would require to register online at www.sapteched.com/india and choose the exam.
If you have not done so already, you would now be unable to take ceertification since registrations for certification has closed on Friday, October 20, 2006.
If you have already registered online, request you to please send us the requisite documentation from your organization stating the following:
1. The total no. of years of SAP experience
2. The total no. of months with your current employer
3. That you have been nominated by your organization OR that your organization does not object to you attempting certification as an individual.
You would require to send us a hard copy of this letter, but to speeden the process you could mail a scanned copy of this letter to us by end of day today (email: [email protected]).
Hope I have answered your queries. Please do call me on +91 99865 06279 for any further clarifications. Thanx.

  • PO Release Procedure for free item

    Hi Guru's
I need to setup the releae procedure for free materials in PO.
How to achieve this - kindly guide me with the setps
Scenario: If the Material is free of cost ( Item is checked for Free) then that PO should be released by Cost Manager.
      Gudie to achieve this scenario.
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Anand

    Hello
As free indicator is in item level and the PO release is at header level , there is no std way to have release statragy.
    SAP has provided a user-exit (exit_saplebnd_002, include zxm06u22)
intended to allow customer to reset the Release Strategy on the PO
you will have to code in the above user exit and pass say X value in 'e_cekko-usrc1' .
and u will have to create the charecters for USRC1 and also have to set the release staratey with the value
    hope this helps

  • How to deal with the issue of craeting Billing for free goods

    Dear All,
Now I met with a question for free goods, generally, it's not need to create billing for free goods. But I had used COPA and the profitable document is generated while creating billing. So my question is that how to create billing for free goods. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks a lot.

    Dear Robert,
The following steps you can do for the Free Goods(samples).
1.Define new pricing procedure for Free goods through copying the existing procedure.T.Code V/08
2.If you don't want taxes remove the Sales tax related condition types.T.CodeV/08
3.Add R100 -100% Discount Condition type to make total value as "Zero" place R100 condition type after the total value.T.CodeV/08
4.Define new sales document type and billing type for the Free Goods process.T.codes VOV8 & VOFA
5.Assign document pricing procedure as C-Free goods for those sales document tyep and billing type.
    T.codes VOV8 & VOFA
6.Define account key seperately for Free Goods and assign that account key to the pricing condition tyep and R100 condition type.
7.Determine the Free goods pricing procedure with the combination of sales areaDocument pricing procedure(i.e C-Free Goods)Customer pricing procedure.T.code OVKK
8.Do the G/L account assignment for that new account key(Single G/L account for price and R100-100% discount).T.Code VKOA
9.Maintain condition record for the R100 condition type as 100% with sales document type as one of the key combination.T.code VK11
Now when you create Free Goods order system will pick the Free goods pricing procedure(Value with zero)with refernce to that order you can create delivery then do the free goods billing ,and release to accounting with two postings one is credit-price second one is debit-100% dicount.
I hope this will help you,

    Murali.

  • EP200 Certification Procedure, Interview Questions & Free Ebooks..

    hi all.
I am planning to do EP certification on Administration..i heard that EP200 is Portal Administration and ADM200 is the pre-requisite for the EP200 certification, my question here is, do i need to get certified on ADM200 before getting certified on EP200 or i can do EP200 seperately..
    Is ADM200 is mandatory ?
And, what is the procedure for taking up the certification like how can i pay for the cerifcation and what are the other procedures ?
Any good sites for Interview questions & free EP200 pdf download ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks!
    Addy

    Addy,
    ADM200 is not mandatory.
It is advisable to take SAPEP before taking EP200, but it is not mandatory either.
There are no SAP certifications associated with EP200, no exams or questions, etc.
You attend the clas and get only a document of completion of the course.
If you need to get EP SAP certificate, there are several available, like C_TEP_10_04s.
Getting certified requires passing an exam and it is tough.
You can find all the info here: http://www.sap.com/usa/services/education/index.epx
In USA they take credit cards, you can call the toll free number and get registered for the course.

  • Excise duty in the Pricing Procedure for Local Purchase / Importation

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to set up the pricing procedure for the purchase of an IS Oil Material; for local purchase and importation, especially with regards to the excise duty posting.
Local purchase:  the vendor will bill us inclusive of the ED tax he previously paid, so the tax is just passed on to us..  My receiving location has ED paid status. In the PO item, we need to see this price (inclusive of tax) in the net price field.
Importation:  the vendor only bills us the cost of the material.  When we received the fuel, we paid ED tax to local tax authorities.
I know that both in these scenarios, the system has to determine the excise duty.
My questions are (1) how do you set up the excise duty condition type  in the pricing procedure(or do they have to be maintained in the pricing procedure?) ?   and (2)  how do you set up this condition type in the config?
Thank you and hoping for your immediate feedback.
    zccr

    Hi,
You can use same pricing procedure
put 4 in subtotal in pricing procedure against the Discounr or freight cond
    and in taxinn
BASb ALTCBV 362 and for jmop 363
But this will work only if same  discount or freight value is in IV as that given in PO
if freing value changes in IV then its a problem
This is SAP bug, and SAP workes in that way only, freight value should be same in PO and IV
    other solution
in taxinn create tax code like v8 vat 4% for 003 tax clasification
in ftxp create tax code V8 desc vat 4%
in fv11 for jvrd put 4
and at the time of IV put this tax code for freight amount
and for regular material value V1 tax code
this will work only if u have used acess seq MWST instead of JTAX pr JST1
    hope this helps

  • Exicse for free of Cost Material

    Hello,
I have a question regarding Excise on Free of cost Material. When we are sending material to Customer as a sample or free of cost then we do not pass any accounting entry for the same during VF01.
In the above scenario how do we capture the excise in our system..Please guide me.
    Br,Vivek

    Hi taurian,
    This is very simple.
in the Pricing Procedure for FOC, shall I maintain the Excise Condition Type as Statistical?
for this no need to Specify statistical for condition types because after delivery subsequent billing is proforma.because this value should not post to accounts, that's why we create proforma invoice. So even without specifying statistical accounting document will not be generated.
but as per central department of excise we should pay the duty while goods leaving from factory. So that we should post this excise conditions amount to the accounts.
So create subsequent excise invoice then accounting document will be generated.system will calculate the excise condition amounts based on basic price you maintained in V/08,system does not bother whether basic price condition type is statistical or not.
    For your understanding:
    Configuration:
    order type FD,Item category-KLN,Schedule line-CP
    Delivery type LF
Billing type F8 (delivery related proforma)
    Sales cycle:
    Va01>vl01n>vf01>j1iin
Let me know for further clarifications.
    Thank you,

  • Why Do People Make and Provide Software and Support for Free?

Hey all, I discovered Linux and open source software a little over 4 years ago now. It transformed the way I thought about software and using the computer. So now in my senior year of college I have chosen for open source software to be the subject of my thesis.
The topic of this thread is the research question of my thesis. But it is also question that I have been thinking about for the last couple years or so. Why do people decide to write software and then give it out for free for all to modify? The second has to do with forums like these. I have always wondered why people do help support on these forums for free when they can be making money doing the exact same thing. Below I will write 13 research questions that you guys can give me your answers or philosophy too.
    1. How long have you been using Linux?
    2. How did you learn/find out about Linux?
    3. Why have you chosen Linux over other operating systems available?
    4. Why did you choose to use your current distribution?
    5. Do you still use any closed source programs that are not available for Linux?
    6. Tell me the reasons that you contribute to the community?
    7. What do you think motivates others to contribute to the community?
    8. In your opinion, what reasons do you think others provide software to everyone for free?
    9. In what ways do you feel contributing to the community could benefit someone's future/career?
    10. What is it about contributing or programming that you enjoy most? Is there any aspects you dislike?
    11. Are you a member of other non-software communities? Such as a church, voluntary organizations or charities?
    12. Does your open source work spillover with any other areas of your life?
    13. If you provide support on forums such as these, why do it for free?
You DO NOT have to answer all 13 of the questions above. Please just pick out the ones that you feel are most important or interesting to answer. If someone else says something that you think is interesting feel free to respond to them if you agree or disagree.
If anyone wants to take this discussion further with me than the forum, I will absolutely love too! Just please send me a private message on here and we can figure out further ways of contacting each other.
I plan on using your user names on this forum to identify people in my paper. If any of you are uncomfortable with me using your username in my paper, please let me know! I will be monitoring this thread on a day by day basis for the next two months or so, until my thesis is complete. If you guys have any other questions that pop up, please do not hesitate to ask! Thank you all in advance for responding!

hockeyfighter09 wrote:1. How long have you been using Linux?
Roughly 3 years, with about 2 of those full-time. Tried out for 6 months a couple of years before that, but didn't stick.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:2. How did you learn/find out about Linux?
Older relatives/friends mentioned it in passing due to my interest in computers, was pointed to the (then-new) Ubuntu and actually given a CD (which I never used). Did read up a bit about it at the time, though.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:3. Why have you chosen Linux over other operating systems available?
Frustration with fixing Windows. Most of that came from my tinkering with it with a bunch of patches/hacks/cracks etc, necessitating a reformat every few months. Oh, and viruses would pop-up once in a while. Mac was always out of my budget (was a student, am still not done with my post-grad).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:4. Why did you choose to use your current distribution?
Ubuntu got quite frustrating from two aspects:-
    1. 'Freeze' policy kept creating lousy bugs. I would have maybe 12 external ppas enabled and of course they wouldn't always play nice with each other, simply because the repos I had been so in awe of when first starting out didn't actually contain all that many useful programs. Used Mint for a while, same problem (now I understand it was the same base).
    2. SNR of forums - When I first joined ubuntuforums it was like heaven-on-earth, so HELPFUL, so many replies almost instantly. It took me roughly 1 and a half months to notice that probably only 2 regular posters were worth listening to, the rest were trying to help with no knowledge to back them up.
So I tried Sidux, OpenSuse, Fedora, and finally read about Arch. Installed it side-by-side, and viola, it was fun! I like tinkering, basically, and Arch allows me to do it far more than Ubuntu/Windows (I class Ubuntu as similar to Windows by now) ever did.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:5. Do you still use any closed source programs that are not available for Linux?
Yes, some games through wine (not sure if that counts as 'available for Linux'. I do not boot into Windows at all, anymore (though its on my laptop).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:6. Tell me the reasons that you contribute to the community?
One of the best things I like about open-source is how most active projects have a community around them. So its not just software, but people working together (of course with heirarchies etc.), fits my Utopian view of how things 'should be(tm)'. I'm a sucker for Utopia, so I try to feed the community as far as possible.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:7. What do you think motivates others to contribute to the community?
A combination of 6. and substituting social deficiencies. Some come across as not actually having much of a social life (probably lack of those sharing nerdy interests in their area) and substituting that in online communities. This isn't really Linux specific, more internet-community specific.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:8. In your opinion, what reasons do you think others provide software to everyone for free?
Perspective of personal developer (one-man projects), I think its a mix of altruism (probably 20-30%), pride (50%) and commercial sensibility (the rest). Most of it is pride, the knowledge that many use my software.
For companies, as mentioned above, its very financially viable, especially in already-saturated markets.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:9. In what ways do you feel contributing to the community could benefit someone's future/career?
Not much, honestly. My career-line is education/engineering, so not much scope there. For someone in the computer sciences, of course there'd be more benefit, but not more than investing the same amount of time into part-time work to expand your portfolio. So for the INDIVIDUAL I believe participating in the community does not bring future/career benefits, we do it because we enjoy the community and want to see it succeed.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:10. What is it about contributing or programming that you enjoy most? Is there any aspects you dislike?
The sense of achievement, that what you do is useful to someone. The BIG dislike is when other members of the community don't feel the same way. There will always be members who are demanding (customer mentality) or abrasive (big tough guy mentality). Both are 'big city' mentalities with no place in the 'homely-little-town' community of Linux (that's how I see it anyway).
Oh, and noobs answering questions with no knowledge (something I've done before as well) are more annoying than noobs asking questions, personal opinion
hockeyfighter09 wrote:11. Are you a member of other non-software communities? Such as a church, voluntary organizations or charities?
I'm very active in my church (various leadership roles), and regularly help out at my fiance's NGO (mostly video work, ffmpeg and cinelerra stuff). A child sponsor and blood donor, etc. etc.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:12. Does your open source work spillover with any other areas of your life?
I don't 'work' on open-source, so a bit of a N/A here. What small patches I provide, or the moderating I do here, is just small contributions. Doesn't spill over to any other areas of my life, because computers are like that, compartmentalized away from the 'real world' (cue Matrix theme tune).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:13. If you provide support on forums such as these, why do it for free?
Like I said, in a small village community setting, people help and are helped for free. I do tech support for friends/relatives in RL for free, so on the forums, for very little time invested, why not?
In answer to litemotiv - yes control is MUCH more important than freedom. I've never really been taken by all of RMS' screaming and ranting. I'm an engineer by training, I want to know what's going on (to a reasonable degree) and control it. Philosophical discussions are interesting but ultimately a waste of time.

  • Pricing procedure of free goods

Could anyone please tell me the effect of pricing procedure in free godds? And what is the difference between pricing procedure in free goods(IMG->Sales and Distribution->Basic Funcions->Free Goods) and pricing procedure in pricing(IMG->Sales and Distribution->Basic Funcions->Pricing)

    Hi Wei Zhang,
When there are more than 2 materials say material A which is of some price, and material B which is Free of cost, then the item category will be different for those. TAN for Mat A and TANN for materail B.
Pricing is depends upon the customer pricing procedure and document pricing procedure along with the Sales Area.
When there are free Goods, Again yu have two conditions
    1. Give 100 % discount on free goods.
    2. Or charge 0 value for that.
This pricing procedure you can do in free goods priocing procedure.
    Hope this will help.
