Certifications in PeopleSoft

Hi,
I have been working as a PeopleSoft CRM Developer for the past 6 years. Could you please let me know what kind of certifications will help me in career advancement?What are the prerequisites and cost for the same ?

There is no certification path for developper application dependant.
For developper, you have a Peopletools certification path only.

Oracle University has released the new PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management, General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert (OCE) certification.
 Testing began March 5, 2009 for the new "PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 General Ledger" certification exam (1Z0-228) at Prometric testing centers worldwide. This exam tests the proficiency and knowledge in key areas of implementation such as Oracle general ledger financial controls, journal entry creation and setup, period close and financial reporting. This 80-question exam is the only requirement to earn the PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management, General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert (OCE) certification. Test candidates are allowed as long as 120 minutes to complete the exam, and a minimum score of 60% is required to pass. Score details and completion status are available immediately at the end of the exam.
Although training is not a mandatory requirement for this certification, it is highly encouraged to best prepare for the certification. Oracle offers the General Ledger Rel 9 training course (# D47967GC30). In this class, students learn through real-life examples and hands-on lab activities to establish their own GL business units and follow their unit through the implementation and processing of data. They also establish common setup options, enter and post journals to their own ledgers; close year-end books, and create financial reports with PS/nVision.
Certification exam candidates can register now online at Prometric.

1. Do you already have PeopleSoft FMS installed on your system and just want to activate GL module
2. Do you want to install entire FMS 9.1 application with GL functionality also

or Windows 7 Professional? What is recommended Windows platform for 8.50? I have been searching on Support.oracle but couldn't find what Windows platforms are supported?

Tech Update - Oracle Plans Windows 7 Certification with PeopleSoft
January 29, 2010. PeopleSoft Enterprise is currently performing a certification of Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 7. Windows 7 is a client operating system so only client components will be certified on it - no batch or server components will be certified. This certification project will closely resemble what we have done in the past with other client operating systems like Windows XP and Vista.
The certification will consist of two phases; first, Windows 7 will be certified as a browser client with Internet Explorer 8. Second, Windows 7 will be certified for a PeopleSoft development client, including design tools such as Application Designer, Data Mover, Change Assistant, Change Impact Analyzer, Application Engine, nVision, XML Publisher, SQR, etc.
Our certification policy, as documented in Oracle's application lifetime support, outlines that PeopleTools 8.49 and 8.50 are currently eligible for platform certifications. Both 8.49 and 8.50 are planned to be certified with Windows 7. The PeopleTools 8.1x code line (which also includes 8.2x) will not be certified with Windows 7.
Provided no significant issues are found, we plan to have the browser client certification completed by the end of March, 2010. The development client certification is currently planned for second quarter of 2010.

Are there any PS Certification Exams..If Yes on what topics they would be like One Exam for CI or One Exam for AE or It will cover all the PeopleTools...obviously i m talking about technical certification and also help me providing the sample questions if any...

Is BIEE11.1.1.6 certified with peoplesoft EPM 9.1 ? I know it is certified with 11.1.1.5.0

Whatever the module, the steps to create the database are exactly the same. Of course, you should take care which tablespace ddl script you are running, and maybe some additional configuration steps given in the supplemental installation that is provided with every module.

Is PeopleSoft CRM: 8.9 certified with Db2 9.1 or DB2 9.5?
Is PeopleTools 8.49.14 certified with Db2 9.1 or DB2 9.5?

Supported Tools version when upgrading from PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 to 9.2

Hello,
Our customer is on HCM 9.1 FP2 with 8.52.03 tools. Now, they would like to upgrade to HCM 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.53
I have found the following upgrade path on Oracle Support.

Yes,
1. You perform Tools upgrade to 8.53.xx
2. Then perform Application only upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2

Delivered languages in PeopleSoft HCM 9.1

Is there a published list of the delivered languages in PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 on Oracle.com?

If you go to My Oracle Support, Certification, Roadmap for 2010, you could see HCM 9.1 revision 1 delivered in edelivery is for the following languages :
Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese

Peoplesoft Enterprise with OLS or VPD/FGAC/RLS

I know that the EBusiness Suite 11i and 12i have been certified (with Patches) for VPD.
I can't find information on Certification / Patches / Implementation of Peoplesoft Enterprise (particularly say Peoplesoft Financials Modules) with Oracle Label Security or with VPD/FGAC/RLS.
Is there such information on metalink3 ? Has anyone implemented/enhanced Peoplesoft in this manner ?

Well, generally the level security is application embedded and configured, very rarely database level implemented (because mainly only one database user is used). The report should be run through the application query which comes with row level security.
But it is supported, even Database Vault.

I am Avishek, a peoplesoft finance functional analyst from India. I want to take the "PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 General Ledger Certified Expert" certification and looking out for few study materials on GL apart from the oracle delivered peoplebooks.

Has PeopleSoft certified usage of Office 2010 with FSCM and HCM

Has PeopleSoft certified usage of Office 2010 32-bit and 64-bit with its products FSCM and HCM in versions 8.9 and 9.1?

Certification is done at the PeopleTools level if I'm not mistaken. Office 2010 is certified for Tools 8.49. For Tools 8.50/8.51 only Excel is mentioned and it is certified for Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit). A lot of other combinations are still planned for certification.

Normally, Oracle will lag behind in certifying the latest PSoft releases...however, we are using OBIA 7964 with PSoft FSCM 9.2 using the 9.1 SDE adaptors. It seems to work fine. In general, its best to ensure the version is certified but you can ask Oracle support if the 9.1 adaptor can be used for 9.2 HCM. If there are not significant structural changes for the tables in PSoft, it may work. As for the dates for certification, Oracle would have to assist with that. We have asked about FSCM 9.2 4 months ago and it is still not certfied.
