  • Finding an Adobe Certified Instructor

Hi, I'm not sure where to put this question so I hope it's okay here.
I am looking for an Adobe Certified Instructor in my area (Dublin, Ireland). I looked on the Adobe Find a Partner website but no instructors for InDesign, PhotoShop or Illustrator came up — only training centres and one instructor for Dreamweaver. I know there are people in Dublin claiming to be genuine instructors but I want to ensure I get an Adobe certified instructor. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to check if someone is a genuine instructor with an up-to-date qualification?
    Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if you can check them out but these guys seems to know a lot about Adobe products:

Please note I am recomending anything here so please do your own research and if necessary visit them onsite to see if they are genuine trainers.
    Good luck.

  • Market Demand for Adobe Certified Instructors

    Hi everyone,
Sorry if this message doesn't belong in this forum. For the
life of me I can't find one that is more appropriate for my topic.
I find the Adobe forums very difficult to use with a highly
inconsistent user experience. Disappointing. Anyway, on with my
    questions...
What is the market demand like for Adobe Certified
    Instructors?
Is it really worth going for ACI credentials? Is there a
great need for certified instructors out there?
If I put ACI on my resume will it really help me land
teaching gigs? (All things being equal, assuming I am actually a
good instructor, of course.) Or are the ACE exams little more than
a money making business for the testing centers?
I'm a Web user interface design professional with a B.A. and
10 years of experience in the field. I'm starting to do some career
growth and development in the area of technical training. I hope to
develop a nice side career as an instructor (either in classroom or
    online e-learning).
I'm hoping to determine where the market demand is and become
qualified to teach in those areas. Adobe software skills seems like
it would be a good area to teach, but I'd like to hear from people
actually out "in the field". Is there a great need for ACI's, or
are they a "dime a dozen"?
Are instructors for some software titles (i.e. Dreamweaver)
    more in demand than others?
    Thanks!

  • What is the Oracle recomended text for 6i to 9i upgrade exam for Developer?

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me wha the Oracle recomended text book is for the Upgrade exam for Developer 6i to 9i.
    Thanks

Yes, there is just one upgrade exam. That is all you have to do. But I don't know whether you have to get a training at an Oracle certified training center? Does anybody know anything about this?

  • Acrobat Pro XI - can you apply digital certificate to certify Portfolio?

I used to be able to View-> Portfolio-> Cover Sheet and then certify the Portfolio with a digital ID. Now Acrobat hangs every time I try.
Adobe support team may be working on it but it's difficult to tell if they are actually paying attention.   A friend also tried it with same failed results.   Can anyone get it to work or am I the only person in the world using Digital Certs to sign PDF Portfolios?
Here's background info on how to do it: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WS396794562021d52e-7abb39ef12b34b0e1cd-800 0.html

In case anyone is interested, you can go back to Acrobat Pro 11.0.06 and it works again.  The official Adobe bug number is 3789347.   Adobe has no estimate for fix.

They follow the steps given and yet the error remains. The customer is using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.0. According to the certify tab, this is NOT a certified combination for Web ADI. When the customer tries this exact same thing using IE 6.0, no error is received. Does not running a cerified combination become a showstopper from development's perspective or should I continue my research?

  • What is the use of specifying an "End Date" when certifying conditionally?

    Hi,
When certifying conditionally, it is possible to specify an "End Date".
    * What does OIM do with this End Date?
    * What happens on specified date?
    * Will the entitlement be automatically removed at that date?
Note : Screen view for help.
    The steps are:
    1. Start any certification
    2. Log in as the certifier
    3. Open the certification task
    4. Now you can certify any item "conditionally" and enter an end date (see screenshots 1, 2 and 3).

  • The form could not be certified, possibly because of your password timeout policy

I am obtaining an error while attempting to distribute a form signed with a digital ID. I can't find any documentation or discussion threads to resolve the problem.
Specifically, while attempting to distribute the signed form in Adobe Acrobat X, the progress bar gets halfway before presenting the following pop-up error window:
The form could not be certified, possibly because of your password timeout policy. Please temporarily set the password timeout for this digital ID to "Never" or "Once per session" (in Advanced > Security Settings > Digital ID Files), and try distributing the form again.
After cancelling distribution, the Javascript debug window pops up with the following error:
    General Error: Operation failed.
    Field.signatureSigr: 0:
    Operation not permitted
I have distributed this form before using the same method without error. Sometime in the last week, this error appeared, suggesting to me that perhaps the password for the digital ID, created in the last few weeks for testing purposes, had expired.
In any case, I went through the suggested fix of going into Security Settings, and then set the password timeout for the digital ID to "Never". No problem. I then attempted again to distribute the form, but continue to obtain the same error.
This is a form created in Livecycle ES2. The client would like to implement trusted Javascript functions - specifically, automatically saving the PDF with a live "production" editable version, along with flattened "secure" versions that can't be altered, and I would like to export the data to XML to make it easier to import data to SQL Server.
All well and good. I've done my homework on this stuff, and I was able to make it work. After a couple of weeks passed, it would no longer work. I don't remember changing any settings, because I was waiting for the client's IT department to drop the Javascript file containing the trusted functions in the Adobe Program Files folder on the server where this will work. In fact, I just walked through the same process of distributing a form on that server, and it worked. It just isn't working on my development machine.
What's up with this? Anyone have a clue? I've run out of ideas, thinking that I might just uninstall and reinstall Acrobat X.
    I'd appreciate an assist.
    Thanks,
    Brian D

I just moved this to the Acrobat Forms forum because (unfortunately) it went unanswered for two months previously in the Security & Electronic Signatures forum. The issue persists.

  • How can I exchange a defective Verizon certified pre-owned phone?

In fairness to my fellow consumers, I'm compelled to share my experience so they can determine for themselves whether a certified pre-owned phone from Verizon is a good purchase. In my experience so far, it is not.  I'm hoping that my situation can be resolved amicably, but I'm losing hope.
I purchased my certified pre-owned phone directly from VerizonWireless in July. In August, I determined the phone was defective. I called Verizon's technical support, and they confirmed the phone was defective, and that it would be an easy thing to fix. I could simply go to a Verizon store directly, and they would repair or replace the phone.
But this was not the case. The Verizon Wireless stores are actually franchises. My local stores, and a VerizonWireless customer service representative got in touch with all of them, will not exchange a device unless the parent company sends them a new phone first, because otherwise they'd have to absorb the cost. The customer service line refused to send a new phone, arguing it was the local franchisee who should pay to replace the phone.
In short, after six hours of phone calls, Naomi from Customer Care promised to give me a full refund and a free months service because I had been treated so poorly, and that this refund would take three to five business days to effectuate. Six business days later, I still had no refund. I called again, and over another four hours of calls, I learned that Naomi never submitted the paperwork in the first place, and that I was no further than I was before.
In short, Verizon promised to replace any defective pre-owned phones that they sold within 90 days of purchase. I purchased my phone 30 days ago and it is defective, but Verizon has in effect refused to honor the warranty. Their internal processes are so confused that, although they agree there is a warranty, they cannot agree on who internally is obligated to honor it.
I really hope this situation can be resolved amicably. I would love to discuss this further with a Verizon Wireless supervisor or customer care manager privately if possible. I want this be resolved quickly and easily.
I will report back later to let everyone know how my case has been resolved.

    Hi Sherita,
I sincerely hope that is true. As I've said before, it seems like it should be a very simple transaction--there's no external damage or water damage whatsover. The problem is that the GPS simply doesn't work, and it doesn't lock on to cell towers properly. I couldn't cause that kind of malfunction if I tried, and tech support has already identified those problems to be a manufacturing defects. The only question is what will Verizon do about it.
I have a 90 day warranty. It's printed on the box, and is stipulated on Verizon's website. But as I mentioned before there seems to be internal confusion as to what that process looks like exactly for a certified pre-owned phone. So far, after 12+ hours of phone calls, no individual team or department within Verizon claims it has the authority to effect a return for these phones.
I would love nothing more to report success. But so far, I've been working with Verizon support for two weeks, and am no further than when I started. I messaged Trevor immediately, but haven't heard back from him yet (but that may be because of labor day weekend.)
Please, please, please - just tell me what I have to do or what I have to show in order to get Verizon to replace the defective phone it sold me. I'm at a loss as to what I should do next.

Am getting daily messages from Safari warning me that I am on a website with an unknow certifying authority and my personal information may be at risk.
Happens when in Cox webmail and when I am visitying a legitimate site, and I have typed in address correctly such as Citibank rewards site.
Have 3 choices, "Show Certficate" "Cancel" or "Continue". Screen is frozen and cannot exit Safari without acknowledging the message or clicking escape. I had been clicking continue, but after a month or more of many such messages decided to ask Cox.  They say it is a virus.  Was I careless in clicking continue?  What do many messages like this mean?  they can't all be unknown certifying authorities can they?

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    1. Are the current date (including the year) and time shown on your system clock? If not, correct them and test.
    2. Check that the following files exist:
    /System/Library/Keychains/SystemCACertificates.keychain
    /System/Library/Keychains/SystemRootCertificates.keychain
If they don't, restore them from a backup or reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
    3. Disable any third-party firewall, "security" software, or network filter. Test.
    4. In some versions of OS X, Parental Controls has a bug that prevents loading of secure websites. Turn it off.
    5. The process by which OS X checks the validity of root SSL certificates doesn't work behind the authenticating SOCKS proxies used on some enterprise networks. If applicable, contact your network administrator. The proxy server may need to have its settings changed.
    6. Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar of the Activity Monitor window, if not already selected. Enter "ocspd" (without the quotes) in the "Filter" text field. Is a process with that name listed?
If not, back up all data, then select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar. Into the text box that opens, copy the following line of text:
    /var/db/crls
From the folder that opens, move these two files to the Trash:
    crlcache.db
    ocspcache.db
You’ll be prompted for your administrator password. Reboot, empty the Trash, and test.

  • Error in certifying a PDF document

When I try to certify a PDF document containing an editable PDF XFA form using the Digital Signature web service. I get the following error:
    ALC-DSS-300-017 Certification of Static Shell XFA Form PDFs is not supported. A Shell PDF is a special type of static or dynamic XFA Form PDF, which contains XFA streams that are not in synchronization with the rendering available in the PDF version. See Signatures Service Documentation for more details. (in the operation : certify);
Could anyone let me know how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks for the answer steve..
We are using Designer 9.0. Using designer we created the XDP file. The PDF was generated using the forms service of Adoble LiveCycle ES 2.5. So I was facing issue in certifying PDF generated by forms service and not when PDF was created using the designer.
As a test we changed the default form properties of the XDP file from static to dynamic. Again PDF was created using the XDP file via forms service. When this PDF was certified, the error was no more occurring. So we were able to solve the issue by changing form properties of XDP file from static to dynamic
