  • Requirements to become an Oracle certified Java application

    Hi everyone,
    I want to know any information on how to become an Oracle certified Java application for the company I work for.
    Technologies involved are Java and Eclipse.
    any information or contact you can provide will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    My suggestion is:
    Consider First:
    1) The exam 1z0-051 which should demonstrate your SQL skills.
    2) The exam 1z0-047 which should earn an SQL Certified Expert Certificate.
    Beyond that you will need to become more familiar with PL/SQL and go towards a PL/SQL developer OCA then OCP
    I believe the following thread is relevant 1Z0-146
    Read the blogs/FAW at the top of the forum, and become familair with the oracle education certification pages.
    You may also seek out some the the '2-day' training as well.
    Hoep this helps.

  • How to protect custom applications using oracle access manager?

    Can someone brief me on how to protect custom applications using oracle access manager?

    Is the Custom application a Web Application running on certified platform? If its Web Application then its no different you have to configure the access policies with http(s) as resource type.
    If its not a web application you can write Custom access Gate and then implement. You would configure the policies similar to Web application (you can define your ouwn resource type if you like) and in the custom web gate you will use Access server SDK API to validate the access rules.

  • Certified operating system for Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1)

    Hello,
    I have a question regarding the certified operating system for Oracle Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.0.1)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/idm_certification_101401.html
    - for an Intel EM64T 64 bit machine
    for the application server database it is stated that we need
    Windows 2003 R1 (64 bit OS)
    and the application server platform is certified with
    Windows 2003 R1 with SP1 or higher (64 bit OS)
    an installation of application server platform + database on a single Intel EM64T with Windows 2003 R1 with SP1 is not certified ? or with other words, if I add Sp1 to 2003 than the application server database is not on a certified platform ?
    thanks

    Hi Florin
    My guess is that you are looking at the Oracle Identity Federation certification section in the link for the IDM certification.
    The IDM certification for windows is in par. 2.3
    For a 64 bits machine it specifies that you need Windows 2003 R2 to run it. And it is only certified for an Oracle database version 9.0.3.1. The footnote says:
    Oracle Database includes Oracle 9i 9.2.0.8, Oracle 10g 10.1.0.5, Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1, and Oracle 10g 10.2.0.2
    so I would go for the latest Oracle database version 10g 10.2.0.2. However the link with the Oracle database versions only notes an Oracle database version 10.2.0.1 available for Windows 64 bit. A quick lookup under the certifify tab in metalink shows that Oracle 10g R2 is certified for Windows 2003 10g R2 and that there is a 10.2.0.2 patch set that can be applied upon the Oracle database 10.2.0.1 base release. Don't forget to apply the latest CPU after this is done.
    I have this from the documentation links you added in your question. I have not installed IDM 10.1.4 on Windows 64 bit myself.
    Cheers

  • Registering a Partner application with Oracle SSO 10gR2

    Hi Everybody
    I'd like to ask a question around registering a partner application with Oracle SSO.
    I have entered my home_url, logout_url and cancel_url e.g. home_url is https://vevopuitest1.co.uk/vevo_test1 and so on for the other fields.
    When I save the details some information is automatically created e.g. Site Id, Site Token etc.
    The bit that I am particularly interested in are the fields Single Sign-On URL and Single Sign-Off URL.
    For my purposes these fields are respectively: https://cwassotest1.co.uk/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login and https://cwassotest1.co.uk/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout
    My questions are:
    1. Where do these values come from?
    2. Can I view them anywhere, say, in Oracle Directory Manager or using ldif queries?
    I would like to be able to verify these values.
    Many Thanks
    Andy

    I'm afraid this won't answer your question completely, but AFAIK in principle it does not matter on which machine SSO is running, as long as it passes the user id and credentials properly through the HTTP Header. Even more: in practice it is very common to have SSO running on a different machine than where your app runs.
    So what I would do is find out how to use ADF Faces with SSO. Perhaps someone else can provide pointers on that.

  • ApEx 2.1.0.00.39 as Partner Application in Oracle AS Single Sign-On

    Hi,
    I've installed the last Application Express 2.1.0.00.39 (oracle-xe-10.2.0.1-1.0.i386.rpm and oracle-xe-univ-10.2.0.1-1.0.i386.rpm) but, when I try to "create an authentication scheme" for configure an ApEx application to use SSO under
    Home>Application Builder>Application xxx>Shared Components>Authentication Schemes>Create Authentication Scheme
    in the second step of the procedure I don't find the choice "Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On (Application Express engine as Partner App)".
    I found only these:
    - Show Built-In Login Page and Use Open Door Credentials
    - Show Login Page and Use Application Express Account Credentials
    - Show Login Page and Use Database Account Credentials
    - Show Login Page and Use LDAP Directory Credentials
    - No Authentication (using DAD)
    even if under the help voice "V Information" the others two are describes:
    Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On (Application Express engine as Partner App) delegates authentication to the Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On (SSO) Server. This Application Express site must have already been registered as a partner application with the SSO server. For more information, contact your administrator.
    Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On (My application as Partner App) delegates authentication to the SSO server. In this case, you must register an application with SSO as a partner application. See the next page for more details.
    Does Someone know how to resolve it?
    Thanks
    Emanuele

    Thanks for all your help Scott
    I've added the -PORTAL_SSO- .....
    After this I've had a new problem same to this: Re: SSO Authentication Not Working
    "get the error below and it then directs me to http://hostx/htmldb/f? and the "p=" is missing"
    But after a lot of tests I discovered where was the problem: "The apache configuration for the proxy!!"
    This an extract from the installation doc :
    SetEnv force-proxy-request-1.0 1
    ProxyPass /htmldb http://127.0.0.1:8080/htmldb
    ProxyPassReverse /htmldb http://127.0.0.1:8080/htmldb
    ProxyPass /i http://127.0.0.1:8080/i
    ProxyPassReverse /i http://127.0.0.1:8080/i
    ProxyPass /sys http://127.0.0.1:8080/sys
    ProxyPassReverse /sys http://127.0.0.1:8080/sys
    where you replace 127.0.0.1 with the name OR ip address of your XE installation. 8080 is the default http port of your XE installation. "
    Well, I used the IP ADDRESS and in the @regapp > listener_token the NAME!!! (HTML_DB:servername.domain:80)
    I changed the IP ADDRESS with the NAME, restarted the httpd service and now all works fine.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to implement SSO authentication for my APEX application. I have registered the application as a SSO partner application.
    I have set the authentication scheme to Oracle Application server Single Sign On.
    When i run the application i am getting the below error.

    Suhas,
    After you registered your application as a SSO partner application did you use the information from Oracle SSO (home URL, success URL, Logout URL, app_name etc) and loaded it into the APEX_SSO schema using the regapp.sql script from the ssosdk?

  • HOW TO: Set up your application server to run BC4J

    How To set up your application server to run BC4J.
    INTRODUCTION
    A running BC4J application is actually the combination of:
    * Your own application files
    * BC4J runtime libraries
    In order to successfully run your BC4J application in local mode, the first requirement is
    that your application server contains the necessary BC4J libraries.
    This How To describes the steps required to ensure that you have a functional
    BC4J runtime environment installed on your application server.
    Oracle IAS 1.0.2 and Tomcat 3.1 will be used as examples.
    THE BC4J RUNTIME LIBRARIES
    Whatever application server you deploy to, the following libraries
    are required in the following order to be in the classpath.
    BC4J Libraries:
    xmlparserv2.jar
    jdev-rt.zip
    jbojdbcpatch.zip
    connectionmanager.zip
    jbohtml.zip
    jboimdomains.zip
    ordim817.zip
    ordvir817.zip
    ordhttp.zip
    jbomt.zip
    jbodomorcl.zip
    jboremote.zip
    jndi.jar
    jbodatum12.zip
    These libraries can be found in <JDEV_HOME>/lib/
    INSTALLING THE LIBRARIES ON IAS:
    Installing the libraries is simply a matter of copying them to the
    application server's filesystem and adding them to the classpath.
    IAS's classpath can be modified by editing the file:
    <IAS_HOME>\Apache\Jserv\conf\jserv.properties
    In this file you'll find the existing pre-installed BC4J libraries which
    looks like this:
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\lib\ordvir817.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\lib\ordim817.zip
    etc.
    Note! These BC4J libraries correspond to JDeveloper 3.1.1.
    In order to run JDev 3.2 based applications you will have to update these libraries
    to JDeveloper 3.2 production.
    Steps:
    1. Copy (or FTP) the JDev 3.2 BC4J libraries from <JDEV_HOME>\lib to a NEW directory on the
    appserver's filesystem called:
    <IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib
    2. Modify the classpath by editing <IAS_HOME>\Apache\Jserv\conf\jserv.properties.
    Example: (modified classpath entries)
    # New 3.2 BC4J Runtime libraries
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\xmlparserv2.jar
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jdev-rt.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jbojdbcpatch.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\connectionmanager.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jbohtml.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jboimdomains.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\ordim817.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\ordvir817.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\ordhttp.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jbomt.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jbodomorcl.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jboremote.zip
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jndi.jar
    wrapper.classpath=<IAS_HOME>\Apache\BC4J\newlib\jbodatum12.zip
    Note: Make sure to remove or comment out the existing 3.1.1 BC4J library entries!
    To see the changes, you must restart IAS and that's it, your IAS will be updated with
    the JDev 3.2 BC4J libraries which allow you to run BC4J Data Tags among other
    things!
    INSTALLING THE LIBRARIES ON TOMCAT
    As before, this process involves both the copying of the libraries
    and modifying the classpath.
    After copying the BC4J libraries to a path accessible from Tomcat,
    you can modify Tomcat's classpath by editing it's startup script:
    <TOMCAT_HOME>\bin\tomcat.bat (NT)
    <TOMCAT_HOME>\bin\tomcat.sh (Unix)
    Here is a portion of a modified tomcat.bat (on NT)
    rem Add BC4J libraries
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\xmlparserv2.jar
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jdev-rt.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jbojdbcpatch.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\connectionmanager.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jbohtml.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jboimdomains.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\or dim817.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\ordvir817.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\ordhttp.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jbomt.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jbodomorcl.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jboremote.zip
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jndi.jar
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\jbodatum12.zip
    rem Add Oracle JDBC library
    set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;D:\bc4j_lib\classes12.zip
    Note: I also added the Oracle JDBC library since Tomcat does not have it.
    It is found at:
    <JDEV_HOME>\jdbc\lib\oracle8.1.7\classes12.zip
    And That's It!
    When Tomcat is restarted using this script, the necessary BC4J libraries
    will be in the classpath..
    A follow up How To:"How To Deploy a BC4J JSP Application on IAS and Tomcat"
    will be posted shortly!

    I copied the following files in jserv classpath
    bc4jct.jar
    bc4jctejb.jar
    bc4jdomorcl.jar
    bc4jhtml.jar
    bc4jimdomains.jar
    bc4jmt.jar

    ordim.jar
    ordhttp.jar
    runtime12.jar
    jdev-rt.jar
    xmlparserv2.jar
    bc4j_jclient_common.jar
    webapp.war
    I got this list from Jdev 9031 on-line help
    I also copied the new DataTags.tld file to /webapp directory
    When i run my jsp page i get this error..

    What should i do?
    What changes should required?
    pls, help me to get out from this problem !!!!!

    Well, I guess you have a problem here. Check http://multikoop.blogspot.de/2012/12/deploying-adf-applications-into-oracle.html and from this
    >
    Note: In its current stage Oracle Java Cloud Service runs WebLogic Server 10.3.6 with the appropriate Runtime ADF 11.1.1.6. Deployment of ADF 11gR2 Applications is currently not supported. Beside this limitation some ADF Features are not supported on the Oracle Cloud. According to the Oracle Cloud Documentation it is not supported to use the following ADF features
    ADF Desktop Integration
    ADF mBean
    ADF MDS (Seeded customizations or cross-session personalization)
    ADF Mobile
    ADF Active Data Services (=> No real-time ADF Web Apps in Oracles Cloud)
    ADF Business Components services interfaces (web services) or events
    ADF Data Controls for BI, Essbase, BAM, and JMX
    Further there are some restrictions which are good to know I think
    No Java Mail API (=>Sending Mails is prohibited)
    No File system access by deployed applications (=>Writing files is prohibited)
    No Direct use of Oracle JDBC Driver APIs
    No Java Message Service (JMS)
    Max Size for deployment archive 95MB

  • Error deploying Jdeveloper 10.1.3 ADF application on oracleAS 10.1.2

    Hi,
    i have created an application on Jdeveloper 10.1.3 and when i am trying to deploy it on oracleAS 10.1.2 i get the following error:-
    java.rmi.RemoteException deploy failed!: ; nested exception is: oracle.oc4j.admin.internal.DeployerException: Unknown assembly root-tag attribute: xmlns:xsi. deploy failed!: ; nested exception is: oracle.oc4j.admin.internal.DeployerException: Unknown assembly root-tag attribute: xmlns:xs
    I searched the forum for a similar kind of error. I got the solution for it.
    It mentions about jdk and j2ee versions.I changed my project and jdeveloper libraries and jdk's. But still am getting the same error.
    I will post this thread in the jdeveloper forum also.
    Please could anyone guide me as to how to approach to this particular scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Madhur

    Helllo,
    By default in JDeveloper 10.1.3 ADF application will be based on J2EE 1.4 specification version, where OracleAS 10.1.2 is based on J2EE 1.3.
    So J2EE is not compatible in this direction.
    Can you migrate your application server to 10.1.3?
    If not you will need to create your application based on J2EE 1.3 standards.

  • How to deploy a POJO or a java application in oracle ESB?

    hi,
    I m beginner in oracle ESB.
    please someone tell me how to deploy a POJO or a java application in oracle ESB?
    thank you.
    Peter.

    The short answer is "you wouldn't"
    The long answer is that you would expose your Java Application or POJO as a Web Service then virtualise it through the ESB.
    If you're wanting to learn more about SOA, ESB and BPEL have you been to this site http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/index.htm

  • How To Deploy Application In Oracle Application Server

    database:Oracle(XE)
    Platform: windows XP
    IDE:Eclipse (ganymede)
    Web server:tomcat(6.0)
    Thnaks and regards,
    DK.

    I think you put the questionin the wrong forum, this is all about Oracle SOA Technology, and deployment is a task within SOA.
    I have created a deployment guide/tool for Oracle SOA products (see my blog, includes java deployment).

  • How to deploy ADF applications in Oracle apps

    Hi,
    I just gone thru demos on ADF rich client applications using jdeveloper 11g.My doubt is how to deploy and use these from oracle apps.Is ADF supported in R12.If yes then could anybody provide me steps to deploy code at unix file system and how to create form functions for accessing jspx pages?
    I know that in OAF, we can deploy server components at $OA_java and PG.xml files using xml importer and we can create form functions for PG.xml files.Similarly what are the steps to deploy and access ADF applications thru oracle apps.
    Thanks,
    ashok

    ADF Rich Client Components need a newer server than the one that comes with Apps R12.
    So what you'll need to do is have a separate WebLogic 10.3 server where you deploy the ADF Rich Client Applications.
    You can call them from your Apps by customizing your current apps and adding a button or link that just calls the URL where your ADF apps are.
