  • Exam pattern change

    Hi,
I heard that the exam pattern for Oracle certification exams have been changed, effective from June 01, 2010. Is that all true?
If so, can someone please let me know what is the current question pattern for OCA/OCP?
    Thanks,
    Karthika

    user9546145 wrote:
The pattern I mean here is, the type of questions in OCA/OCP (PL/SQL Developer). Till now, we were getting multiple choice objective questions.
Is it going to be the same pattern of questions or Oracle has changed its pattern of questions for OCA/OCP (PL/SQL developer)? There is no sign of any change in the basic format of any exam.
and in particular I see no change in the exam topic for 1z0-144, 1z0-146 and 1z0-147.
What has changed at some point in the last 10 months (at least for some exams) is the exam interface / skin /presentation Look and Feel. Same thing under the skin, just a little difference in style (The difference might be like the basic first glance appearance differences between say Windows XP and Windows Vista ... but dont take this example to far). And I have seen a reference which may indicate to me that at least test provider is refering to this as 'pattern' with regard to their exam simulator (and this may be unauthorised test providers using this term so beware http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/05/the_route_you_choose.html).

  • Hi, Can Anyone tell me the pattern of SAP SD certification for year 2011 ?

    Hi,
Please help me in knowing the following:
    1) Is there any negative marking for wrong answers, If YES how much % is it?
    2) EXAM Pattern i.e No of Questions Approximately given in EXAM.
    3) What is the PASS percentage of EXAM ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Venkat

    Dear Venkat,
There is no negative marking in the certification exam.
There should be around 80-90 questions which would be divided into different sections e.g. Sales, Billing, Shipping, Master Data, Solution Manager etc.
The questions asked will be optional and true false.
You need 70% to pass the exam otherwise you will be disqualified.

  • HR CERTIFICATION EXAM

    Dear all,
I am taking up the HR certification exam.
I would like to know how the exam pattern scoring in done, aware that there are going to 80 questions for a duration of 180 minutes.
Can you please tell me what is the minimum scoring (is it 70% of 80 questions or 70 questions to be answered) and how are the questions scored, especially during mutliple answers/questions for a single question.
Request to kindly share light on the above.
    Regards,
    Shyam

    Hi,
The minimum scoring is 70% of 80 questions.
Each answer/option has a score that is added if you hit. If you miss a option, the question is not completely considered wrong.
    Study all, and specially Payroll.
    Good Lucky!

  • ONT certification Exam Question

    Hi !
I'm currently studdying for my CCNP ONT Cetification Exam.
I would like understand somes concept...
1- With WFQ queueing mecanism, what is the advantage using a Congestive Discard Threshold value lower the size of the queue if all new paquet that are assigned to that queue is drop when the CDT value is reach ?
2- Is the IP Precedence system is a Differentiated Services or Intgrated Service QoS algorithm ?
3- The author of the book I read speak about "Per-Hop Behavior", but he let me confused me about this concept... I define type of PHB : Class selector PHB, Default PHB, Assured forwarding PHB and Expedited Forwarding PHB. I'm a little bit confused about this concept.... And he speek also about Behavior Aggregate which I was'nt understand anything about that...
4- With the IP Precedence the 3 first bits are used for QoS, what about of the others in the ToS field ??
    Someone can help me ?
Sorry for my English I'm French people....

    Bon Jour,
But as I am German, I will use English from now on ;-)
OK, there we go, I try to keep it as simple as possible:
A1 - WFQ orders packets based on "when they would be finished to send". CDT does not mean the maximum number of packets a queue can have. If the whole queueing system has more packets than CDT, packets who would be the last to send is discarded, if a new packet arrives. An example, for simplicity assume two queues Q1 and Q2 and two flows, one in each queue. Assume we have CDT of 6 and queue size of 7.
Assume we enqueue 6 packets of 100 bytes each in Q1. now a packet with 1500 bytes arrives for Q2 - and we will enqueue it! Why? WFQ will always enqueue a packet into an empty queue. Now we have Q1 6x100 bytes and Q2 1x1500 bytes.
If another 100 bytes packet arrives for Q1 WFQ will drop the packet from Q2 and we get 7x100 bytes in Q1.
At this point, if the queue size would have been 6 like CDT we would have tail dropped the 7th packet, which was entitled to be sent!
The scenario above is of course a bit oversimplified, as enqueueing and dequeueing are going on at the same time and we have much more logical queues, but I hope you can accept, that CDT is not the maximum number of packets in a single queue.
A2 - The wording sounds strange to me. IP Precedence is used with DiffServ and usually not with IntServ. However, I would hesitate to call it a QoS algorithm.
A3 - PHB is a term defined in the RFCs for DiffServ. The idea of DiffServ is scalability, thus no signalling (IntServ uses RSVP for signalling of QoS treatment), but marking of packets. As many different packets from different flows will be treated the same on a single hop, one can call it "Aggregation" and the QoS treatment of packets in a certain class is called "Behaviour Aggregate".
As there is no signalling each hop treats traffic independently of other hops. To get an end-to-end treatment of traffic, some "Per-Hop Behaviours" have been predefined in the RFCs. An example would be EF, which was defined with VoIP traffic in mind: minimize delay and jitter, rather drop than delay a packet, as "late" means "useless" in real time applications.
Cisco implementation: priority queue in LLQ.
A4 - If you use only 3 bits the rest is ignored. DSCP however uses the first 6 Bits of the byte formerly known as TOS and the last two can be used for ECN according to RFC 3168. The nice thing about DiffServ is the scalability and flexibility. IF you want, you can use various header field for classification of traffic. But you do not have to and can choose the level of complexity fittig your needs.
Hope this helps! Please use the rating system.
    Regards,
    Martin

Through out the Globe the exam pattern is same but here in US you can appear online and immediately you  can get your results as in SAP certification exam. At a time you can give more papers too, but in India we need to appear it with pen and paper (analog system) and they will evaluate and you know the process is different. There is certain calendar to appear this exam in India but in US just pay select your date and get it done. The value of this certification in CPIM is same where ever you do it. Sorry for creating some confusion in my previous post by saying the short period. Hope now you understood what I meant. Below is the link of APICS CPIM go though it will get lot of infomation on it:

  • How to Prepare for SAP SD Certification

    Hi All,
I have applied for SAP SD certification with EhP5 with exam code C_TSCM62_65, I am little nervous regarding preparation.
Can any one tell me on how to prepare with proper methods to crack SAP SD certification.
I have 3 years of experience in SAP SD and MM and I have referred  the syllabus from SAP training site.
Little guidance will help ma a lot.
    Thanks,
    Sokita

    Hi Nouman,
We are fully aware of this but this does not make it legal, I'm afraid. Using exam patterns and illegal material only undermines the quality of SAP certifications and diminishes the value for people who have honestly prepared for the exams and have fully earned it.
Additionally, learning exam patterns by heart completely misses the point of becoming certified, because you don't actually gain any new knowledge or go into depth.
I hope you understand this and I ask you politely to please stop sharing or asking for copyright materials.
    Regards,
    Joey

  • IKM Java J2EE Test

I am about to take IKM Java J2EE test ! If anyone has taken this up before kindly share me the
topics and your experience regarding same ?

    Hi Guys,
I thought I will share IKM experience, for people who are planning to take.
I have just finished doing an IKM Exam, 10 minutes back. Overall, I have done four IKM Exams, this year, and two of it in the last one week..
    1. Distributed Programming
    2. XML
    3. Java2 Programming
    4. Java2 / J2EE Programming.
You are expecting a tough exam. Atleast, it was tough for me, all of them :)
    Exam Pattern:
It is objective based with three possible answers, but not always and does not say how many answers / question, either. Credit is provided as long as you are able to get close to the answers. Say two answers are correct out of 3. Conversely, you have deductions in credit, if you blindly choose anything irrelevant. (that proves absolutely no knowledge in that area) .
You cannot go back to a question, that you have answered already
Questions are made increasingly difficult, when you are answering good and if you find an easy question, all of a sudden, you already know how you have been answering the previous question.
    Questions:
On average, you have around 30 - 40 questions and the time limit is 90 minutes maximum. Expect plenty of code based questions.
Syllabus: I do not know if they provide any definite syllabus beforehand and the questions are from all possible areas inside the topic. e.g., when I did the xml IKM, the questions were from XDR, Xpointer, XLink, Xquery and all sorts...
Test Results: The test results shows you are overall percentage. It shows your strengths on each subtopics related to the exam, on three grades (Strong,Proficient,Weak)
You can see your test results, if the test organiser has set up that way. I had an opportunity to see only for Java 2 Programming. So added the topics below
Java 2 Programming: Usual Java (fundamentals,package,i/o,operators,threads., etc.,) + JVM Memory Management + Security Framework + AWT
    Hope it helps.
