CF 10 CFML function, tag definitions and help files in DW cs6

I'm unable to view the new CF 10 CFML function, tag definitions and help files in DW CS6 after using the ColdFusion10_Tags_for_DW.mxp update file. I see that the 'CF10 Extensions' are enabled in Adobe Extension Manager CS6.
When I pull up the Reference tab Book: 'Adobe CF Function Reference', I don't see canonicalize in the drop down of 'CFFunctions'.
Is there an issue with updating the extensions within DW CS6?
Any help would be great.
Garth

I am afraid http://forums.adobe.com/community/coldfusion is more suitable for this question.

  • No local help files for Photoshop CS6 extended

    Hi
I wish to use local help files for Photoshop CS6 but only online support is available. Local files are not listed under the Adobe Help preferences. The option to search only local rather than online help is greyed out. I found and downloaded a PDF with of the help files but don't know where to install it or if this is possible. I have CS 5 Creative Suite and this works fine giving the option of local or online help when accessed.
Is there a way to install and use local help files in photoshop CS6?
    Thank you.

Hi and thanks for directing me to that article, it should have done the trick. I am using mac mountain lion 10.8.5.
The help system has always operated oddly - I have Photoshop cs6 but also the cs5 master suite installed. CS5 works fine but Photoshop cs6 only gives the option for online help and then directs me to the CC site. There is no simple listing for just Photoshop help in the help menu - presumably as it is not seeing it installed
I tried various configurations in the article, having to set up the folders they suggested. In my case, in a variety of alternative places as I have a boot up volume with the documents folder moved onto a RAID array so the Shared folder is not in the documents folder but in Users on the boot drive. So - confusing - but tried all the likely candidates and folder configurations/locations while following the instructions as closely as possible. Even tried an documents folder alias to redirect the program to the alternative path way.
At least now I have the PDFs and can look through them outside the adobe interface. The problem with the community site being questions regarding photoshop alone, yield answers for all sort of other issues and programs.
Thanks for your help though, which should have worked, appreciated.

  • How do I rate and label files in Bridge CS6?

Fulltime student and a new cloud member. Having problems with first project. I can't nor can the instructor figure out why I'm not able to rate and label files in Bridge CS6.

No clue why I didn't think about this.
Isn't that why we are here?...
But serious, I understand your wish for a big preview but not your wish for clicking, never been a fan of RSI myself
It is a long standing issue rating and labeling are not the same in all circumstances but clicking in the preview window might be a difficult wish to fulfill. There are many ways to use Bridge but if you like big previews consider this:
In the Bridge prefs advance tab select 'generate monitor sized previews' (this should create good full screen previews)
Then either select a bunch of files in the content window you want to judge or just start at the first file.
Hit space bar and full screen preview starts showing (when all files have been cached it should take very less time or real time to show good previews.
With arrow keys cycle through the files and with cmd + . or cmd + , (comma, I now realize I had it wrong in the other post) to increase or decrease ratings. All the keys are adjustable with only one hand and very close to each other. And clicking on a spot does show a 100 % preview of that part.
But as said before, so many users, so many workflows

  • How to batch or individual import Canvas .CVX and .CNV files into AI CS6(mac)?

Is anyone aware how to batch or individually import Canvas .CVX and .CNV files into AI CS6(mac)? I have a large old graphics library representing 10 years of work which would be very nice to convert into Illustrator CS6...
Thanks a lot for any hint -

It's not a matter of exporting a file that Windows will recognize; it's a matter of exporting a file format that Illustrator can import or open.
A Mac OS version of Canvas is under development, by the way.

My bad. Typo on my part. I meant one that Adobe will recognize.
Too early yet. I shouldn't try to type before I get my first morning tea.

  • Grapher - Importing Points, and Help File problem.

For some reason, I can't get the help file to load on Grapher to load. I have repaired permissions, but the thing will go no further than show me the entry page to Grapher help. Any searching just throws an error to the Console.
What I am actually trying to find out how to do is to import points into Grapher. There is an Edit Points option. From within the dialog that comes up, there is a button to import data to the application. I have been unable to get this to actually DO anything, and no error or alert is given despite what I provide as input.
    Any ideas.
Grapher, btw. is a neat program, but the user interface is godawful. It really is organized pretty badly, IMHO.

    Hi, Skip.
    1. You wrote: "For some reason, I can't get the help file to load on Grapher to load. I have repaired permissions, but the thing will go no further than show me the entry page to Grapher help."See the "Help Viewer links do not work" section of my "Troubleshooting Help Viewer" FAQ.

It appears that the data set you import has to be formatted in columns of x, y, and z coordinates (two columns for 2D graph). It appears to assume a plain text file with the (x,y,z) triplets on individual lines (Return at the end of each line), and tabs between the x, y, and z coordinates for a given point. For example, a data set you could create in TextEdit.
The Import option permits you to specify other options for handling the data you are importing, such as using a comma as the separator (vs. tab) in (x,y,z) triplets, ala CSV (comma-separated values) data sets you might export from Excel and then want to import to Grapher.
Also, if you want to import points for a new data set so you can compare two different sets of data in a single graph, you first need to add (Click [+] in the lower-left border of Grapher) a new data set, then import the data into such. If you simply choose Edit Points > Import with an existing data set, the points you import are added to the currently selected data set in the Equations column.
None of this is documented in Grapher's Help. I basically had to experiment with it to discern the info above.
    3. You wrote: "Grapher, btw. is a neat program, but the user interface is godawful. It really is organized pretty badly, IMHO."I agree. The application does need a good bit of improvement w.r.t. Help details and interface design. I suggest you submit a Mac OS X Feedback.
    Good luck!

  • Jd3.0 and help files

I would like to put the web help files on a web server in our
intranetso that everyone will have access to them without the
need of installing them on everyone's computer. I have not been
able to find a setting with in the program. I have tried
editing the jdeveloper.ini file HelpBase attribute to
http://intranet/doc but this does not work. JDeveloper says
something about unable to locate installed help.
how can i go about doing this? is it possible?

    David,
This is not a supported configuration.
However, here are the instructions for
doing so, but you may get sharing errors:
    1. Exit JDeveloper if running.
    2. Map a drive letter to our network location Example: net use s: \\ABC-Shared\JDevDocs
    3. Edit your jdeveloper.ini (or jayva.tmp if jdev hasn't run yet) located in the [JDeveloper]\bin
    directory.
    4. Change the HelpBase= from ..\doc to s:\doc. This is the 4th entry. Use
    your mapped drive letter.

  • What are the functions of look and feel files?

    Hi,
If some one can explain me what are individual role in look and feel of the ISA B2C application.
    mainFS.jsp
    main_inner.jsp
    catalogFS.jsp
    accountFS.jsp
    refresherB2C.jsp
I want to know function of each files. If I change any file then where exactly I can see changes which I made.
Any help from any one highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Ashish

    Hi,
If you get hold of the ISA Development and Extension guide there is a section highlighting which frames go where in the main application.
You can also see which .jsp pages are displayed where by adding the following parameter to the root URL of the application when you logon.
    http://<host>:<port>/b2c/b2c/init.do?showmodulename=true
This will display the name of each jsp page in the frames on screen.
Also, surely you must have been asked to change certain aspects of the application - not specific files?  You shouldn't just change the files and then "see what happens"...
    Hope this helps,
    Gareth.

  • Recovering from PC Crash - tag, category and other files

I have had to rebuild my PC due to virus and other issues in getting rid of the virus.
I did backup a good part of the PC and hope that I included some of the Photoshop Elements 9 files that I need.
Can anyone help me with info on where to look for files that would contain tags, categories, albums, and other items that I created in Organizer to help manage my pictures?
I would like to make sure that these files get backed up regularly.
Also if you know how to install these files after reinstalling PSE it would be helpful too.
    Regards,
    Amby N

    Search your backup for
    *.pse9db
and restore the entire directory containing that file (including sub-directories).
You can restore that directory to any location and, in Organizer, use File...Catalog...Custom Location to browse to the location of that directory to use its catalog.
Here's the system I use for my data files:  Since I have several programs which use their own databases, I created the following directory
    C:\Data
and subdirectories under it for each program.  For example, I have a
    C:\Data\PSE Organizer\Catalogs\Test01
directory for my "Test01" catalog, and so forth.  It's then easy to use WinZip to simply zip up the entire C:\Data directory to create a backup file of all the data for all my programs.

ActionScript doesn't support something like a global delay()
    or sleep()
function. In ActionScript 2.0 (or AS1) you can use
    setInterval() or
setTimeout() to delay as many functions as you please. In
    ActionScript
3.0 -- for which you'd need Flash CS3 -- you can use the
    Timer class.

  • Where is the Flex 3 documentation and help files?

The page on Adobe.com gives all broken links (it redirects to the general help section, but does not link to the PDF or LiveDocs):

    *Bump*
No comment at all on this?
What is the use of integrating web comments and collected information into LiveDocs if you're going to yank it from the site without any warning anyway?
How many carefully edited insights have been destroyed this way? Of course I have the PDFs lying around somewhere, but the web is made out of linked resources, and killing the online resources now broke half the tutorial articles on Flex 3.
Is this the way Adobe is treating it's userbase?
Just tough luck, suck it up and move on please?

  • CRAZY FONTS!  Garbled garbage in Safari and help files.  How do I fix it?

I wish I could post a screen shot.
Some pages in my browser, particularly in Wikipedia, display the bulk of the content in numerals that look like fractions--0 over 02 8996 to the 4th--with an occasional hyperlink (bold, blue, and/or underlined) appearing in regular Latin characters. If I copy the nonsense and paste it into anothe app like excel, it displays in Latin characters and I can read it. And that has been my workaround. But I'm getting tired of it. WHY does Safari (and today, a help system, which wasn't ANY help at all) display these fractional numbers instead of alphabetic letters? And how can I stop it? It doesn't appear linked to the font I choose to display in.

The problem is due to an underlying bug in the WebKit.framework, which is the framework Safari, Mail, and other applications use to display HTML content. The bug causes the glyphs from Fraction style fonts to be displayed in place of the plain-style glyphs, even when the web page specifies the plain style should be used.
