CF banner ad system? Anyone? Search yields zip.

I checked the Developer Exchange (and searched on Google) for
a CF banner ad system, but it the people who developed these seem
to have gone out of business or moved on to other things. Does
anyone know of a relatively sophisticated system (counts
impressions and allows campaigns) at a reasonable price?
The closest so far was CF_Banner by Oleani, but the Oleani
web site hasn't been updated in two years, emails to "support" go
unanswered, and the phone number on the web site actually is for
the company that hosts the web site. I didn't feel like sending
$200 into cyberspace based on that.
I also saw one for $1,000, but I might be able to write one
myself in a week. If I had a week.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

I found the formula that calculates distance with zip codes.
Where do I get
the 2nd long and lat for the formula? Do I add the distance
(25 miles) to
both long and lat to get the 2nd set of variables? Or do I
use the base long
and lat add and subtract to get the 2 sets?
Has anyone done a search using zip codes to determine
everything within a
specific range (miles / kilometers)?
And when I get the result of the formula, how does it apply

Took a lot of tweeting and work, but I got it to finally
work, Thank you so
much!
I had to edit the cfc to work (the SQRT function was spelled
out SQUARE and
gave me fits) and I had to capture and convert a whole new
set of zip codes,
longitudes and latitudes and convert them into the radiuses.
But all in all
it finally worked. The database on the example is written for
MS SQL and I
am using MySQL. Each enough to do. All I had to do is take
the text file,
add headers to the data, save it as a CSV, take it using
CFhttp and loop it
into the MYSQL database while converting the longitude and
latitude into
'rlongitude' and 'rlatitude' which the CFC requires to make
it work.

InterMedia indexing and searching of zipped files

Hello, I have interMedia successfully configured to index and query a repository of files (MS Word, Excel, PPT, PDFs, txt files)which are located on a file system. My issue is with zip files. I cannot successfully index and search zip files. I've tried zips that contain both ascii(text) and formatted files (doc, ppt), but interMedia seems not to recognize this particular MIME type. Is there a way to have interMedia index and search zip files? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

System Prefs search results in Spotlight always appear in Japanese ... ?

Recently I've noticed that for some reason, searching for System Prefs using Spotlight always returns the results in Japanese, whereas all of the other search results in Spotlight are in English.
Does anyone have any idea how this could happen, or how to reverse it? I've tried removing all languages except for English from the International System Prefs, but they still show up in Japanese.

System Preferences Search Not Working!

Hi,
For some reason the Search bar in the my System Preferences window isn't working. If I type "dock" into it, the System Preferences window dims like it should, but none of the icons are highlighted. The Dock icon should be highlighted, but it isn't.
Does anyone know why this is happening? Seems to be related to Leopard since I never had this problem before.

I'm using Leopard Cache Cleaner which has a special submenu that can clean preferences. It checks each file to see if it isn't corrupted and also suggest to clear too old preference files. Very useful to maintain everything in tip top conditions.

Can i install system 7 on a zip drive?

I own a Mac plus and i'd like to connect it to the internet. I had a look at a few web browsers, like MacWWW "Samba" but it isn't great. I'd like to try out MacWeb, but it requires system 7. It appears I need to install system 7 on a hard disk to do so. Problem is, I don't have any SCSI hard disk... and they are quite expensive on ebay. So I was wondering, is it possible to install it on a zip drive? They are quite inexpensive and I already have zip disks at home.
I've never hooked one up to a "classic" Mac, so I hope the os recognises it as a drive and not as a floppy. If not, I'm afraid this won't work...

A Zip drive can be connected to a Macintosh Plus. The following web page has further information about this:

System 7 requires at least 2 MB of RAM. In order to connect a 68000 processor machine to the Internet, you should really have the maximum amount of RAM, though (in this case 4 MB).

You may also need access to another appropriate approx. 1991-1997 Macintosh computer (with a floppy drive for both 800K and 1.44 MB) to be used as an intermediary for software downloads.
System 7.1 came on 1.44 MB floppy disks, which cannot be used directly on a Macintosh Plus. A full US System 7.0 on 800K floppy disk images contained in a larger self-mounting image (.smi) is available for download from Apple:

Anyone got a zip-tip?

When I try to Zip a file(backup.zip) everything is good except one thing.
When I use WinZip to unzip the file, the path for the file contains all subdirectories eg. c:\mycatalog\backup\db\data.data
I would like the path to be like: db\data.data
The code:

Cannot see BI system in search

Hi experts,
I have configured BI backend system from CE portal and the connection test is successful. However, after I configured, I logged into VC and cannot find BI system I configured in "Search" drop-down list. I can only see Web service destination and RFC destination. What shall I do to solve it? Did I lose any step? I followed the configuration guide from here "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/7e/6dbcea3700452195e3bddaa47c5906/frameset.htm".

I have never made a connection to BI or any SAP System but a JDBC connection from the portal and did all the necessary steps, even though the test connection did not succeed, I could still see the system in VC.
In your steps, I do miss step 6 of the documentation, did you do this as well, may this is something which is required?
6.      Maintain the properties in the following categories:
○       BI/Business Intelligence
■       BI Directory Provider: yes
■       BI Master System: yes
One of the connected BI systems has to be the BI master system. If you are only connecting one BI system, choose Yes. If you are connecting more than one BI system, choose Yes for one system and No for the remaining system.
○       Connector
■       Group: Logon group of back-end system
■       Message Server: Message server of back-end system
■       Remote Host Type: 3
■       SAP Client: Client of back-end system
■       SAP System ID (SID): System ID of back-end system
■       System Type: SAP_BW
You can find the values for the logon group, system ID, and message server from the properties in the SAPGUI logon for the BI back-end system.

System wide search...

hello,
i'm trying to come up with the best way to search system wide for files that contain a certain name or maybe a certain type of file. i'm looking at any possibilities...here are some i've considered...
applescript - list folder
shell script - find, locate, msfind, ls | grep
cocoa/carbon - nsdirectoryenumerator, fscatalogsearch
i know this is the applescript forum but since there are some limitations (i think) in searching with plain applescript i'm sure all of you might have some suggestions as to what is the best approach? as for the search being system wide i should say as much possible because i want to keep the time down (as fast as possible). so i can take some shortcuts if necessary...

No Systems in "Search in" 7.1SP3

Hi
I tried to import a data service as described in the documentation. However, in the Search (button in task-panel toolbar) in the "Search in" drop-down list is see no systems or WS-Destinations but the following entries: "Business Objects, Portal Content, Service Registry, Portlet Applications, Visual Composer Models, Web Dynpro Applications"
I have already created a WS-Destination for an external WS. And some other WS are in a backend R/3. So where can i access them in VC7.1SP3?

Many thanks that was the reason.
However the service does not work.
In the log and Web Service Navigator it first said: "Wsdl part element is missing required attribute(s) name/type." I downloaded the wdsl and tried it by importing the file in the WS Navigator then it said that "the XML is not valid. Node <types> child of <wsdl:definitions> not described in Schema."
I tested the WS in http://www.soapclient.com/soaptest.html and it worked fine.
So I guess the XSD of SAP NetWeaver is out-dated. Is it possible to replace them or do you know the exact prerequisites to use web services in SAP NetWeaver?

WSUS Uninstall - System Still Searching for Directory Path

I recently uninstalled WSUS from a Server 2012 server core machine and installed it on a different Server 2012 server core machine. Everything is operational on the new server with no problems. However, on the old server, I am getting an error
(this is mainly an issue because SCOM generates an error because of this). Either way, I want to get to the root of the problem on the server so I am curious if anyone else has encountered an issue such as this below (now, I can understand the error
because the WebServices\Root folder has been removed since it isn't a WSUS server no longer):
"Could not find directory path 'C:\Program Files\Update Services\WebServices\Root\' for WebSite with Name :'WSUS Administration' and ID :'1014308378'. This website will be discovered with some properties missing. Operation will be retried.

This is actually an IIS 101 issue.
SCOM is looking for a resource on SiteID 1014308378. But SiteIDs in IIS are randomly assigned during site creation, so even though the machine name may be the same, almost certainly the SiteID changed when you moved the WSUS server to a
new machine.
Remove the SCOM references to the old server and add NEW references to the new WSUS server.

Is there any component that zip files resulting from a search for later download?

AFAIK not directly. But using the ContentFolios, ContentBasket and ZipRenditionManagement components it can be done. Selected search results (content) can be added to your content basket. This content has to be published to the folio. Saved folio has zip rendition option, which allows download of the content as zip file.

System status search

Hi :
In Plant Maintenance , i was able to find system status using the function
'STATUS_TEXT_EDIT'. From the returned string i want only those status whose value is CNF or TECO or CLSD and excluding the status if it contains PCNF or CRTD or DLFL or REL.
How can i search the variable ( v_status ) returned from the function 'STATUS_TEXT_EDIT'.

Try something like this.

STR is the string which contains the status from the funciton module.

I had rebooted prior to running the pacman -Syu and everything was fine. I rebooted after the updates and was presented with a console login instead of a KDE login. I tried startx at the console login and was presented with errors about my ~/.xinitrc . I found exec startkde commented out and replaced with exec wmaker. I never installed wmaker or gnome or anything else, only KDE. I made the change and tried startx again. I got another error that /usr/lib/libexpat.so.0 could not be found. I created a softlink in /usr/lib from libexpat.so to libexpart.so.0 . I attemped another startx and finally was presented with my KDE desktop. The fonts seem a little different, but I am not sure if this is me thinking something is wrong or if there is a font problem. They seem smaller and thinner to me. Everytime I perform a pacman -Syu I do received this error:
fontconfig: local (2.3.95-1) appears to be newer than repo (current/2.3.2-7)
I think I added that fontconfig package a few months ago to prevent another problem but I do not recall. I receive no font loading problems in my Xorg.log file or when it starts. Anyone else?

You do not have to create the link to libexpat, you need to install expat if you have not done so, or reinstall if you have done so (in that case the package seems te got corrupted)
About the fontconfig message, is not an error, just a message. If you want do downgrade to the repo version, you have to manually do: pacman -S fontconfig
