CF Card ejecting automatically

I have an exterme IV 8.0 gb CF Card and it keeps ejecting itself on my 24 inch imac 3.0g ghz computer. I can start to look through photos and the I will get a window saying the card has been ejected. I have tried 3 different card readers. I even have started the process and not touched the computer at all and it managed to download 1.3 gbs before it ejected the disk with still half a gb to go.
Any Ideas?

Hi and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
Go to the vendor site and make sure this card (readers) are Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 compatible.

  • Disk drive ejects automatically

My CD drives is getting ejected automatically since I have refreshed it. Initially it ejects on booting, but problem has been sorted out somehow, but now, it ejects while working.
    I'm using G6-2202 TX with Win8.

How common is it for the lens to get dusty and not read a particular DVD? I have two new DVD movies that are not even recognized on my PowerBook, and get spit out after a minute of cycling. Every other DVD works fine. I even returned one of the non-recognized DVDs and exchanged it for another of the same title, and guess what, it does not play either.
I tried these two problem DVDs in my G4 desktop last night, and they both worked just fine in that older drive. Unfortunately, and unrelated, my four year old Quicksilver desktop died overnight after the successful movie screenings.
Are some newish Region 1 NTSC DVDs different somehow (what is DVD9?)? Or is it most likely a dirty lens needing service, as you suggest?

  • How to set iPod to eject automatically after sync?

    Hi!
My mother's iPod "ejects" automatically after syncing. Mine, I have to click the eject button. Mine is 8 GB hers is 4 GB, but both are third generation. How can I set it up to eject my iPod automatically after sync, like my mother's?
    Thank you!

Do you have your 8 GB iPod set to Enable Disk Mode? If so, that would explain it since doing that requires you to manually eject the iPod.

  • Memory card problem: automatically ejecting

    Hello!
I've just bought a 6220 Classic; sometimes (even e-4 times per week) when using the memory card (browsing the gallery, using GPS device, listening to music) the phone automatically ejects the memory card.
I'm thinking of an hardware problem; if so, do I have to  send my 6220 to the Nokia Assistance?
    Thanks in advance::
    F.

i second that, it is a hardware issue and take it to nokia care or use this link to get specific support in your region

  • Sd card ejects

i´m using a SanDisk Micro SDXC 64Gb card  with a Mini Drive Adapter (and tried 3 more) with my MacBook Air with 10.9.4.
i´m getting a message about the card was ejected badly but i haven't touch it. it keeps ejecting repeatedly every 5-7 minutes. it mounts itself automatically.
is very annoying because i´m using the card to save data and it keeps giving me errors.
is anyone having this same problem?

  • Memory card  eject  SDXC

New to Macbook pro and apple products, so lots of questions.  How do I eject my memory card fromthe SDXC card slot on my computer if it doesn't show up under devices in Finder.  There probably are a few ways to do this???

In Finder you should see the card on the left under Devices, click the triangle with a line under it next to the name of the card. You can also right click it and choose Eject "Name of the card"

I also checked if i had a dual layer dvd drive, which i do so really dont see why it wont work
The suggestion to copy the disk requires a drive that can write (burn) dual layer DVD's. Essentially all DVD drives (including all used by Apple) can read dual layer DVD's.
I got it off the internet so im not to sure if i can get a refund
What do you mean by "off the internet"? Is this a retail, Apple-branded Leopard DVD or something else? All the retail disks are black, with a large "X" that almost goes from edge to edge of the disk. Other Apple-branded Leopard disks are gray & only work with certain Macs. They are bundled with the Mac they are meant for & their labeling indicates they are not to be sold separately.
If you have been sold a gray disk, this is almost certainly your problem.

  • Disk ejecting automatically during import

I hooked up my camera to the computer and proceded to import a clip dirctly from the camera to FCPX. I noticed that it was running a bit slow but didnt think much of it untill I tried to share the master file and nothing was there. I noticed that on the clip in the event library it had a picture of a camera and the task wheel was at 100% and it probably shouldnt have finished as quick as it did so I figured it must not have imported from the camera and its just seeing the clip on the SD card in the camera or something. So, I closed FCPX to start over fresh and I took the SD card out and poped it into the reader. I then proceded to try again, at this point it started to import but at 10% the apple error message for improperly ejecting a disk popped up and the import failed. I then tried again and same thing. I then deleted everything I did for that project closed FCPX, reopened and tried again. This time it got to 18% before failing. Its the same process I always use and this is the first time Ive had this problem. Im going to restart my computer now and do the option+command+P+R thing during boot up but in the mean time...any thoughts?

Well, with respect, everybody's got a preferred workflow. When I upload 3 or 4 16GB cards, the last thing I want is manually reviewing each photo before ejecting.
Lightroom allows me to eject without erasing and without having to manually click each card I've inserted. It's amazing how convenient it is when you get used to it. And it has never failed to copy all pictures.
As far as I can tell, Aperture doesn't offer that facility. And to me, at the moment, this might well be a deal breaker.

  • How could the wireless ethernet card running automatic when system reboot?

I have already setup the wireless networking card correctly which name is wpi0,but every time when I use it to link to internet,
I had to key the instuction like this :
    ifconfig wpi0 plumb
    ifconfig wpi0 up
    ifconfig wpi0 dhcp
    and then input:
    wificonfig -i wpi0 connect mywifi
comment: mywifi is the profile file of connection to my wireless router
I had set it with the instruction before like thisi
    wificonfig createprofile mywifi essid=2WIRE678 encryption=wep wepkey1=1234567890
anybody can help me group up the command line and has it running automatic when system reboot
it seems the wireless card always need manual connect to router, that 's trouble.

It should connect on it's own. Which version of Solaris are you using?
If worse comes to worse just drop all of your commands into a simple script and then run that script as part of your .profile or equivalent.

  • PC Card eject button

The little eject button by the side of my PC card slot remains out will not stay in when I push it - am I missing something? There is nothing in the slot.

It may be that you aren't pressing the button in far enough for it to catch. You have to press it all the way in, past the point of its being flush with the case.

  • I connect my ipod then it ejects automatically?

I have a 3rd generation ipod nano and have had it for a couple of years now. Recently when i plug it into the usb and onto my computer (which is windows xp) it comes up on the screen as conneted then about 2 seconds later it says ejecting and ok to disconnect. It doesnt come up on itunes that it is connected either. Before it started doing this my ipod was set in manual sync mode. I have also changed the cable and it still doesn't connect. I have connected another 4th generation ipod nano and this connects to itunes fine, does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it or shall i just invest in a new ipod?

Finally able to solve this problem. It turned out to be a faulty USB port on my Dell. Actually all internal USB ports are weak. Discovered this morning when I connected my external hard drive to the PC and it would not power up in either front or rear USB. Tried removing all USB devices except mouse, still no good. Support for Seagate suggested low or insufficient power based on symptoms on the drive. Purchased Giga-Ware 4 port USB Hub (with external power)from RadioShack. Now the External drive, and both my third and fourth Gen Nano's work just fine.

    First welcome to the discussions.
Go to your Apple upper left then select System Preferences, next choose CD/DVD and when this box opens be sure you select the option you want when you insert a DVD. I have open DVD Player, This will work for commercial DVD's
If you are inserting a blank DVD you will need to change the setting to open Disk Utility or open any burning software you may have.

  • All DVD's eject automatically

    Hi

    Mac OS X 10.6 Help
If you have trouble inserting a CD or DVD
If you can’t insert a CD or DVD, or if the disc is ejected after you insert it, there are several things you can try.
    Try these suggestions:
Clean the disc. The drive may eject a disc if it’s dirty.
To clean a CD or DVD, wipe the shiny surface with a soft, damp cloth, working from center to edge.
Check the surface of the disc for scratches. If it’s scratched, it may be unreadable.
Try using the disc in another drive to see if the disc can be read.
Try to insert another disc in the drive. If you can insert other discs, the disc you originally tried to insert may be damaged.
Check whether the optical drive is plugged in and turned on. Refer to the documentation that came with the drive for more information.
If you’re using a MacBook Air SuperDrive, connect it directly to a MacBook Air. It won’t work correctly if it’s connected to any computer other than a MacBook Air, or if it’s connected to a hub.
When handling discs, be careful not to leave fingerprints, place other materials on the discs, or add labels to the discs that may cause them to become unbalanced when spinning. Don’t write on the shiny side of the disc. Instead, write on the side that has a label or other text.
