CF10 on mac OSX 10.8.4 lion

Hi,
I installed CF10 on mac using this link:

The CF server is working.
I was fine until the step 8 on OSX Sites.
I can see fine the file from the step 7 "http://localhost/~username/index.htm", means that apache also is working fine.
Why I cannot see the current time from "http://localhost/~username/index.cfm"?
I only see the content of the file <cfoutput>#now()#</cfoutput>
Any ideas how to fix or test this?
I will install flash builder 4.7 after to work with CF10.

Just one more quesiton re: this topic, I am looking to get rosetta but do not have Leopard or Snow Leopard...
I read that it is not on Snow Leopard only on Leopard....so do I need to get only Leopard? Can u advise?
Alternatively I do have Mac OS X Tiger so is it on this and can I install it from here?

I in a bit of a dilema. I have a paper due at midnight and I need to add in pictures. I was told that Pages is the best for what I need to do. I had to update to Mountain Lion to be able to download Pages, though. Will my Mac be able to handle Mountain Lion? My Mac has 4 GB and Mountain Lion has 4.4 GB. And how long will it take to download?

Mac OSX 10.7.2 Lion Ethernet troubles

Ok I'll give a brief overview of what happened. Been using my very long ethernet cord to connect to my router here since my internet speed is not the best. My ethernet was working perfectly last night and then this morning when I tried to get on, I had no internet. I checked under the network and it said Unknown State and that I had no IP address. I switched from Using DHCP to Using DHCP with manual address and plugged in the IP address of 192.168.1.2 and it said connected with a green light. Still no internet though. Thought it might be the router so unplugged the router for about 5 mins then plugged it back in. No change. Thought it might be the cord so plugged it into wife's Mac and it worked fine. So I'm assuming it's my ethernet port. Not really sure how to tell if anything is wrong with it nor do I understand why it's giving me a green light when I manually enter in the IP address. Not even sure how it suddently stopped working in the first place since my MBP was shut down last night. Any other troubleshooting thoughts? My wireless still works which is one thing, but I live in the country in Germany and the internet here is slow enough as it is. Thanks.

Have you ruled out a faulty cable?
Anyway to see if it's really your ethernet port, open a browser and type the address of the router, i.e. 192.168.1.1, do you get the configuration page?
Or else, open a terminal, and type the command "ping -c 4 192.168.1.1", does it end with "4 packets transmitted, 4 packets received, 0.0% packet loss"?
If the answer to one of them is Yes, then there's nothing wrong with your ethernet port, but rather with your router.

Firefox (17.0.1) no longer works with Adobe 10.1.4 and MAC OSX 10.7.5 Lion? Online disc. say Adobe 11.0 will not fix? Suggestions?

I can open pdf files in safari, however my office products work more effectively with Firefox. Currently the firefox browser shows a blank screen when I try to launch pdf file within my work program. So I would really like to be able to use firefox as the browser. Is there an update or fix that will work? Although I am currently on Adobe 10.1.4. after reading online discussions it suggests that 11.0 doesn't work either and so I hate to try another update. Everything was working fine with old Adobe version (which I don't know which one that would have been and not sure if and/how to get it back) until last Sunday when my husband decided to update my Adobe without my permission. Can anyone help?

You can disable the Adobe Reader plugin in Firefox (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) and use the external Adobe Reader application or Preview application instead.
*Firefox > Preferences > Applications > Adobe PDF document : Use Adobe Reader
PDF files may also be found under another entry like Portable document.

Captivate 6 and Mac OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion Fatal Error

Indeed, many folks confuse the issue by writing "Captivate CS6" and the issue there is that Captivate has never been part of the Creative Suite line of products.

Need update for Basics of Biblical Greek interactive cd for Mac osx Lion 10.7.5

I used to be able to use the Basics of Biblical Greek Interactive cd with my Mac osx. I upgraded to Mac osx 10.7.5 Lion and will not work with this mac. I can not find an upgraded program. I would like to continue using this program without the extra expense of buying a new cd. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade?

If that's the Mounce book, the publisher, Zondervan, appears to have discontinued the CD-ROM, but you can contact them and ask if any sort of upgrade is available. If this was under their "Pradis" line, though, they discontinued that in June of 2010 and provide no more support.

With that version of Photoshop, the most recent version of Camera Raw you can use is 6.7. If updating your Photoshop or subscribing to the creative cloud is not an option then you could use the free DNG converter provided by Adobe. The latest version of the DNG converter is 8.7.1. I am not familiar with Mac operating systems, so I'm not certain if your OS is compatible with the latest version. You can download it and try.

I'm currently running OSX 10.7.5 Lion on my Macbook Pro and need to update to OSX 10.8.4 Mountain Lion specifically
I intend to coinstall Pro Tools 10.3.7 and latest version of Pro Tools 11 on the machine and from what I can gather on Avid website..
"The co-install is only supported on OSX 10.8.4.."
I am ready to purchase and install Mac OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion here on the Apple Store.
However I am pretty sure this will update my system to 10.8.5 which will not be supported.
Any advice or methods I could try would be greatly apprectiated..

Do you think Apple Support could push that particular update out to machine when I go to purchase?
Alternatively I could go searching the net for an installer but then I'd have no idea what I was installing was valid.
Do you know if I installed 10.8.5 is it currently possible to roll back to 10.8.4?

Mac OSX for the 13-inch Early 2011 Thunderbolt 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 model.

I got a refurb MacBook Pro two days ago.
It is the 13-inch Early 2011 Thunderbolt 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 model.
It came from Apple with Mac OSX 10.7.1 Lion installed on it (and no media on disks).
According to EveryMac.com this model originally shipped with Mac OSX 10.6.6
The "Whats in the box" lists the software on DVD as one of the parts that should have been included but there was no disk with the MacBook.
Was there or wasn't there an actual software install media disk for this model ??
The fan runs at about 2000 rpm all the time.
Is this normal ??

10.7 Lion doesn't have disks, but a Recovery Partition accessible by holding command and r keys upon booting.
You need a internet connection, fast, strong and relaible to download Lion from Apple servers.
Since that machine came with Snow Leopard originally, you can call Apple with your serial number (AppleMenu > About this Mac > More info) and request new copies of the 10.6.x grey disks.

Mac osx kernel panic with nomachine

Symptom : Was frequently getting kernel panic on MacBook Pro 9.1 after any mac osx 10.8 (mountain lion) software upgrade.
Root Cause : NoMachine softare installed on Mac
How to Fix : Start Mac Book Pro in Safe Mode (Hold Down Shift while starting, until a grey bar appears)
Once booted in Safe mode, remove from "NoMachine" from Applications folder
Other third party drivers can cause similar problems.
Diagnosis Steps:
1. Start in Safe Mode
2. Get the panic log - /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
3. Will have error like

Uninstalling NoMachine altogether is not required. It is enough to disable the USB driver as explained here:

Cannot upgrade Mozilla - Mac OSX 10.7.1

I am running Mac OSX 10.7.1, Lion. I cannot upgrade to the latest Mozilla. It appears to download, but then I am never prompted to complete the installation. Thoughts???

If you go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and click the download button, do you see the download start? Where do you have downloads saved to? Check that folder for the installer.
