I am trying to run Firefox inside of VMware Workstation V8 in Widows 7 and Fusion V4 in Mac OS X 10.7.2.
I first tried to restore a working profile backup of Firefox made with FEBE in windows inside of VMWARE, when I load Firefox more that half of the plugins that were working in Windows and OS X natively, are reporting as not compatible with this (V7.0.1) Firefox and will not update to a working version, as in many cases they are the latest version anyway.
Also it is inconsistent, as i have tried several times to install Firefox and restore the profile and each time it is not all the same plugins that are disabled and reporting as incompatible.
I have also tried to do a clean install of Firefox and going to the website and installing the plugins directly, and while i have not tried all of the disabled plugins, I am unable to install plugins that i am currently using in the same version of Firefox outside of VMware that are working and or can be installed when I am not running Firefox inside of VMware.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

I have checked both the resource folders, and made backups from Logic pro 9, but its not recognizing them, or saying that they're missing a bunch of samples.

Okay so I asked someone from apple and they said that the software update icon is gone but its functions have been merged with the app store icon on the settings menu. Crisis averted haha!

Can't open re-installed Firefox - get this message: Error: platform version5.0 is not compatible with minVersion = 6.0 maxVersion = 6.0

Had to uninstall Firefox as it stopped working. The went to website and downloaded Firefox once more. Pressed the .exe and the file went through the installation okay, but when I tried to open Firefox I get:

The only option i have is to press OK and nothing else happens.
Can you offer any help - it is beyond me and I am missing Firfox and have lost all my bookmarks.

I installed version 5 from 4, only to find Roboform is not compatible yet, I need to go back to 4 til roboform update their software. HOW can I revert back to version 4 ?

Roboform is as yet not compatible with version . Has I use it on a daily basis version is no good to me at this time. I need to go back to version 4, if there is an easy way other than uninstalling and reinstalling

For those that really need an earlier version of Firefox, find your system and the Firefox version you want in releases, download and start the install.

When reinstalling Firefox from a download, Firefox must be down once the installation starts. When the installation finishes, don't let the install start firefox for you. Maybe you were looking for this (I think I would stick to 3.6.* on such a machine) No idea if they have anything for later than version 4.

I've been trying to install a new version of ITunes on my computer for over a month now with no luck. Here's the message I get every time: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. I had the previous version of ITunes on my system and it was working fine, except that is was having an issue with my DVD burner. It was a real bear to remove from my computer in order to upgrade. Now I can't get any version of ITunes to install. :-(

I have the exact same problem as well. I've been having this since I tried installing the 3.0 drivers for Bootcamp drivers. The 2.2 drivers worked perfect, and I wasn't getting this error. I'm pretty sure It's something in the drivers as well, but nailing it would be very hard. It also doesn't appear to happen to everyone with similar spec'd Macs either. It's weird. hmm, I knew I was missing something fairly obvious. I went into AppStore and the apps were there with an "accept" option rather than a price. I've started the download.
I've no idea if this means I'll be charged or not. I never got a screen with a price on it so hopefully not.

I fear that you are trying to download OLDER Software on a newer Operating Sysytem Meaning that you need to Install the Latest Version of Adobe on the Newer Operating System for it to work Properly. Be sure to always check the minimum System Requirements.

The A100-036 is a one unit from the PSAANE series and you should choose this from the Toshiba driver page.
As said above download all available drivers and follow the instruction mentioned in the installation instruction document.
Then everything should run correctly

after about 10 hours of usage, my new (and I mean new and expensive) MacBook Pro refused to boot. The support folks were good and as I hadn't yet created and files on the machine suggested I just did (as suggested by apple) a wipe and re-install as described in the subject line.
Now I have no iPhoto, no iDVD and a few other apps I don't really care about. What can I do to get them back.

Why since installing newer firmware the camera and video are missing features and pictures suck?

Since installing newer firmware you can no longer set the resolution for and pictures suck. Also can not zoom in on video. How can I go backwards with the firware?

Check and see what OS you have. Go to your STATUS icon > then ABOUT > on the third line down it should tell you 4.x.x.xx I think you will need the 4.5 OS . (operating system)
