Cfdump errors out

If you were looking for a challenge, here it is. I have two
servers with the same version of CF and Java running on each. On
one, cfdump works fine all the time, on the other, it doesn't work
at all. Guess which one is the production server. Even the simplest
cfdump call fails - I've included the full text of an error - Maybe
there's a clue in the trace I can't decipher. Is there some
administrative setting I'm missing? Anything would be helpful -
advice on what to try next...?

From memory there was an updater to 6.1 that had a build
number of 6xxxx,
which was a bit twitchy, but the last one which was numbered
8xxxx (I
think... this is a hazy memory) was pretty solid. The worst
thing with 6.0
and 6.1 was that each updater version required a different
[minor] version
of Apache, and that was a pain in the butt to keep up with.
It took me a while to jump to CFMX7, as there was nothing
really in it I
needed, however the jump was smooth once I did so (probably
only about 6-9
months ago). Macromedia "broke" the duplicate() function in
that it now
throws an exception if you try to duplicate() an object,
instead of just
turning it into a struct as it did in previous versions. That
revealled
some shoddy code of ours, once the exceptions started to show
up, but that
was the only re-work we had to do, from memory.
7.0.1 was the work of satan (well, OK, it broke a couple of
things we rely
on not being broken), but 7.0.2 has fixed those. I never used
7.0.1 in
production.
The latest version of our software requires 7.0.2 to work
(not sure why...
I'm not on the dev team any more), so I have upgraded to
that, quick smart.
It seems fine
CFMX7 has got some nice-ish - if not essential - stuff: async
gateway,
admin API (which I have not used), Application.cfc (again,
haven't used
yet, but it's higher on my list to look at). It's also got
some half-arsed
b*llshit which I would never have use for: <cfreport>,
<cfdocument>, Flash
forms and the like. These features SOUND good, but they're
implemented a
bit half-arsedly, so don't quite make the jump from being "an
OK proof of
concept" to "something actually useful". I'm sure mileage
varies on that
opinion, so don't take my word for it.

Runtime constant (Filename) errors out in BPM

Hi,
I have a BPMCollectTime scenario to collect the Source files. The filename (Message Mapping/Transformation) from the files is captured in TRANSFORM STEP(before sending them out from BPM). The file is sent to SEND step one at a time.
Question : Filename of the source file is captured through user defined function.
Following is the code.

The Mapping gives a runtime error in the BPM. This is a sporadic error.
I have selected the Adapter specific attribute(File name).
The BPM errors out sometimes? I am not sure if I am missing any setting. If I delete the work item and run the same scenario it works.
Question 1 : What is the cause of the above error?
Question 2 : Does BPM support Adapter specific attribute such as filename?

Thanks for all the help.
DTN will not change the response filename to source filename. This option cannot be used. The correlation id is defined as response file name. Response filename is fixed for invoice file.
Here is the example.
For invoice file name HDTN20070430163110.TXT, response file received is nav1_2b5.rsp file. For HDTN20070430163314.TXT , response file is nav1_2b5.rsp
So my correlation id is dummy fixed value. I have known the fact that it is not possible to use context object filename.

Why do you think a query like this is valid?

What's up with that?
You can only group by columns that are actually IN the result set.

Unable to Capture more than 5 mins, error out of mem msg when rendering

Somebody help me. I have been using my powermac fcp and a mini dv cam for 4yrs no problems. Now when i am trying to capture clips over 5 mins (1 gig) fcp freezes. So Im capturing through Imovie (which is working fine). Dragging clips into fcp to edit. Now when it comes to rendering anything over 5 mins Im getting an error out of memory msg.
Can anyone help me?

You don't say what version of FCP you are using but my guess is you've upgraded QT7 and are running FCP4.5
If that's the case, do a search here for the solution(s). They're ugly.

Looks like this is for the tax line (based on the fact that it is trying to update the link_to_line_id). The issue seems to be from the duplicate interface_line_attributes for the two different lines.This leads to this query returning more than one row for the tax line when it is trying to update.
For two different lines, make one of your interface_line_attributes (in this query I see 1, 13, 14, 15) unique.

Time Machine won't back up. Starts of REALLY SLOW, and the errors out.

I've been having a hard time getting time machine to back up. To start off I'll give you my specs and what I have done.
iMac
OS 10.6.6
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 DDR@ SDRAM
320 GB HD
All software updates are current. I am trying to back up to an external Western Digital 1 GB drive connected by USB2. I have formatted the external drive, and set a single partition on that drive from the Disc Utility. I have run disk repair on both the external and local hard drive. I have run disk repair permission on the local drive. I have restarted, after every time. I have done everything listed above multiple times, and have done them all in kinda different orders each time.
My thought is that the issue may not be with the hard drives, but maybe a file its trying to back up. When it starts out for the first time, it tells me that it needs to back up over 100 GB of data. It gets about halfway done, and then errors out. When I try to start it again, it tells me that it needs to backup around 50 GB of data. And this time, its REALLY slow. Like bytes slow, not Mega bytes, or even kilobytes. Bytes. 36 bites backed up, 120 bytes backed up. 2 Kilobytes backed up. SLOW SLOW SLOW.
Then it picks up, and usually gets up to 120 MB, and then gives me this error message "The Backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk. - The problem may be temporary. Try again later to back up. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk."
Its a pretty generic message, and gives me no help in trying to figure out what the problem is. I've been trying again for almost 3 days now, and nothing is working. Is there an error log file that I can go find that would help me a little more?

XML Publisher report errors out when RDF report has no data

Hi everyone,
I created a template and attached it to an RDF. When i run the oracle report with the attached template, if the report has 'not data exists' the report is erroring out. is it the normal functionality of XML publiher??. Because i remember at my earlier client i have run some reports for which if 'no data exists' still the program would complete normal but the output would be blank.
The xml output is creating the tags for the elements.

Hi Sam,
Yes this will happen depending on what the template is repeating on etc. You can handle this quite easily using sub-templates.
Firstly create your normal template as a sub-template (so surrounded by the <?template:TEMPLATE_NAME?> tags)
Then create a second template that contains the text "NO DATA FOUND" as another sub-template.
Create a third template (this will be your main template called by the report), which imports the two sub-templates, then using a choose statement, count the number of occurences of you main repeating group in your XML. If the count = 0 then call the "NO_DATA_FOUND" sub-template, otherwise call the normal sub-template.

We are on 12.0.4 on solaris 10.
Tomorrow is go-live in one of our client, When we doing data migration. Uploaded the data into Interface table. From there we are running this standard program to push th edata into standard table.
Its erroring out saying:

Supplier Sites Interface errors out -- URGENT!! please help.

Hi All,
The log file has the following message when executing the supplier sites interface import program that errored out:
REP-1419: 'beforereport': PL/SQL program aborted.
I have searched Metalink where they said the Batch Size should be 1000 by default. I did the same but still did not work.
I have made sure that teh vendor_id, vendor_site_code, org_id combination is unique.
I am not sure why I am getting this record. I have to process around 300000 records. When I ran the import progam the first time, it errored out after processing 171000 records. Then when I ran the program again for new records(that were not imported) it errored out after processing 42000 records. I dod not know how to resolve this issue.

XML Report Publisher program is erroring out

I've customized the AR Customer Statements.
I've created a data definition as "ARXSGP" and uploded the sample_output.xml of Statement Generation Program to it. Also I've created a Data template as "ARXSGPO" and attached the data definition "ARXSGP" to it and uploaded the customized rtf file "XXHCC_CLE_F_ARCUSBALSL.rtf" and set the default output type to PDF.
As I donot wish to call the XML Report Publisher program manually every time when I Print the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements.
So I've done the below customization in ARXSGP.rdf file ie; Print Statements Report which is an Oracle Report.

Please check if Output Post Processor concurrent manager is down/ inactive.
Restart the manager/ get it restarted and test the issue.
System Admin >> Concurrent >> Manager >> Administer

Xml report getting errored out

hi friends
i have one custom xml report with ten parameters whenever i submiteing concurrent program with mandatory paramas it will getting succesfully completed
without requirement out put. Again whenever i submiteed program with mandatory params and non mandatory parameters it will getting errored out .

Hi Chandra,
There might be a problem with your .rdf.
Please check the formula column and use srw.message functionality to debug.
And please enable Trace option while you are running the report.
So that you can get more info about the errors.

Propagation of Error Out

In my code, I have an area that sort of does some parallel processing. Anyway, each of those code snippets has an Error Out that is then available to the rest of the code which happens to be mostly sequential. My question is, with two Error Out sources, and mainly one Error In, what is the best way to propagate the (possible) errors from the two Error Outs.

I assume you're talking about TestStand calling code modules that have error outs? You're launching off an extra sequence in a new thread to get the parallel processing?
I would say queueing the error data immediately after it's retrieved, rather than putting it into one data space directly, and then you can retrieve from that queue easier.
If you're talking about a piece of say LV code in itself, then you can merge errors to get the one that hit an error (the order of the merge errors will give you the priority of one over the other in case they're both in error.
