Cfform Flash missing keystrokes

I've created a flash form and what's weird is that when I
fill it out it takes forever because it misses keystrokes. I
literally have to review every single keystroke to ensure that I'm
getting correct information into it. You can view it here:

Cfform flash not getting recognized

Hi,
Our server recently had a migration. The previous server contained cf7 and new one has cf10. After the migration, one of our application using cfform format flash is not working now. A 'mxml.cfswf' file seems to be not rendering correctly while inspecting the console.
Is there any prerequisite for the cfform flash to get worked in cf 10?
Any help is appreciated.

If Firefox doesn't find the Flash plugin in its install location the you are likely missing the registry key that Firefox uses to scan for the Flash plugin.

You can copy the plugin files to the browser\plugins folder or to a plugins folder in the current Firefox profile folder or the parent Mozilla\plugins folder.

Intermittent missing keystrokes on macbook pro keyboard..hardware/software?

I have a mb pro 2ghz core duo and have recently been having keyboard problems. Intermittently, my keyboard will not recognize keypresses from the following keys:
zero -
p
; return
Sometimes when I reboot they work. I have to carry an external keyboard with me on the road otherwise I can't use the laptop. Do you think this is a software or hardware issue? When I use Cmd-S at startup, I boot to the root prompt and things seem to work at the command line interface. I type reboot to get into os X gui environment, then its hit or miss. I hate to send in my mac for a software issue and wish someone could shed some light on this for me.

Search "keyboard delay", "keyboard sleepy", or "missing keystrokes" . At this moment no fix. Just a half worarround.

MacBook Pro Retina Mountain Lion - missing keystrokes

Intermittant missing keystrokes. Any app including TextEdit. Not keyboard (happens with attached USB keyboard). Comes in waves (sometimes seems to be ok then comes back). Happens with no WIFI and all other apps off. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Missing Keystrokes

I built application in flex 2 and I have a problem when users
run it under IE7 on vista(Flash Player version 9.0.28.0). When a
user types is some text random letters do not appear, like it is
missing the keystrokes. This only happens under IE7 on Vista, in
Firefox 2 on Vista, it works properly and does not miss any
keystrokes. Any comments/suggestions/remedies? Thanks

I had exactly this happen to me when using IE7 months ago.
In my case, the problem was a particular download manager I
was using (Free
Download Manager). It seemed to be sucking out keystrokes at
random. I'd
have to type the same letter several times to make it appear
etc.
When I uninstalled Free Download Manager, all was fine (I use
a different
free download manager program instead now :))
So look into what other software you have installed
(especially things that
hook into your browser like download managers do).

IE causing error script error on production server with cfform (flash)

Not sure if this is better posted here or the Cold Fusion
Flash Integration category. I have a site on a shared hosting
environment that has a cfform using flash that has several cfinput
date fields. The datefields display and function properly on my
development environment in both firefox and IE but only work in
firefox on my production server. In IE I get the following script
error:

Code: 0
Does this have to do with missing files in the CFIDE\Scripts
directory? If so can I place the needed files in a local scripts
directory and point to them in the source of the page getting the
errors? Any help with this problem would be greatly
appreciated.

Sounds like the /cfide/ folder is not mapped on your site.
Ask them to make a virtual folder called "CFIDE" pointing to the
real CFIDE folder.
If they wont do it, make a folder yourself and copy the
/cfide/scripts folder to it. If you dont have the files, install CF
locally and move them up to your site.

Exporting to Flash, missing library item?

I am using Flash 8 (also tried CS3, but flash 8 seems to
import Captivate much better) and Captivate 3.
I want to create a project following the steps outlined in
this adobe article.

I am unable to because an item the author says should be in
the Flash library is missing. From the article:

Well I guess captivate 3 must export slightly different than
Captivate 2. I had to basically manually create the movie clip the
article talks about. When you export from cap3 to flash it puts
everything on the scene 1 timeline. So I copied ALL the frames
& layers, created a new movie clip and put it all into that new
movie clip symbol. Just kind of a pain to have to do it manually,
but not a big deal.

HP Envy 14 (2020NR) - randomly missed keystrokes after wake from sleep (on battery power only)

While running on battery power, sometimes when I wake from sleep, keystrokes will randomly be missed. It doesn't always happen, and I need to do more experimentation to figure out just how often it occurs. To fix it, I just reboot the computer (while still on battery power), and the problem seems to be gone. It can also be fixed by simply plugging in to A/C power. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have seen similar threads where people say that repeated keystrokes are missed, or rapid keystrokes are missed -- but so far those threads have remained unanswered, and my problem seems a little different in that no one else has mentioned a correlation with running on battery power. The problem never occurs otherwise, for me.

If you are still under warranty you need to return the laptop for service. If not I am afraid it is a motherboard issue requiring replacement. You have done all the diagnostics a professional would do. The fact that the battery works in another computer tells us it is not the battery.

Flex 2 14 Missing keystrokes

I just bougt a new Flex 2 14. Overall I am satisfied with performance and build quality. However it is missing a lot of keystrokes. Further inspection revealed that I have to hit the very center of a button in order for the keystroke to be recognized. If I just push the edge I am still able to fully press the button down, however no keystroke is registered. Is this intendet? This is very irritatint as I have to focus all my attention to hitting the center of the keys while writing.

I'm a fast touch typist and I used th keybord of my new Lnovo Fle 2 14 to writ this messge, without fixing the errors afterwards. As you can see, thre's no way I can use this to comrtably write anything without constantly backtracking nd finding the point whre it missed a keystroke. So yes, same problem here. I have to signficanty slw dow the typing speed I've erned and beome accustomed to, if I wnt to write proper text. It's really rustrating. Does nyone know a fix to this? Is this grounds for returning the lapto? I'm fne with it otherwise... I bought this laptop so I could go to the library to study and write my bachelor's thesis, but thi keyboard is a nightmare compared to my 10-year-old desktop one, so there's no point now, unless I take the latter (it's as big as this laptop...) with me too. And having to take a keyboard because your laptop's one is terrible at recognizng keystrokes is frankly stupid...

Cfform (flash) and javascript integration

I've been searching and shooting in the dark for 2 days and
can't get this to work...
I need to have my flash form button execute a javascript,
return the value to the form and then I need the form to submit and
take advantage of cfform's validation.
So far, I get the javascript to change the value of the form
field without submitting the form, but when I add the submit line,
the form submits before the javascript returns the changes.

My javascript is of course way more complicated than this one
and goes through several steps of validation of the form field. It
will ultimately be used on multiple fields in the form.

Moving to the left (cfform="flash", cfformgroup="horizontal)

I am create a cfform using flash. I want 3 form fields to
appear on one
'line'. When I put them into a cfformgroup set to horizontal,
it moves
everything over about an inch to the right. I would like it
to line up with
the rest of the form elements. How can I get all the elements
in the form
group to align to the far left?

CFFORM (Flash) Validation with Regular Expressions Not Working

I am having troubles getting regular expression validation to

Bear in mind that by default validation does not occur until
the user attempts to submit the form. If you are trying to control
the characters that the user can enter into the textbox, as opposed
to validating what they have entered, you will need to provide your
own javascript validation.

Sun rays missing keystrokes

We started seeing a very odd problem on our Sun Rays this morning. Keystrokes get missed!
You can be typing and for five seconds or so your keystrokes are simply ignored. Then it picks up where you left off (and the keystrokes you had lost do not flood in when things resume).
Could this be a resource availability issue? Nothing has changed config wise with our server in a couple of weeks and they've been working well since then. The only thing that's changed is we've added maybe sixty or so to the system.

This turned out to be an issue with one of our Windows terminal servers.

Export from Indeisgn to flash, missing elements and animation!

Hi, I have a problem whit exporting files from Indesign cc 2014 -> Flash pro cc.
When i open a exported document in flash im missing elements and the animations.
I get some images and text but never vecorbased rectangles or anything graphical made in indesign.
Is the fla export function broken? I looked at several tutroials and guides but i can't find anything about this problem.
Is the workflow from indesign these days -> eps->ai->flash-animation->save?
