CFFormItem Not Visible in Safari on Windows, Chrome

We have flash forms that work great in IE and Firefox, but in
Safari on Windows and in Google Chrome the items are not visible.
They work in Safari on Mac.

Hi all,
we have the same problem on http://www.ccli.de/about/contact.cfm and http://www.ccli.co.uk/about/contact.cfm with many different forms.
The CFFormItems are not visible, but also the CFSelect is not populated.
Has anybody found a solution to this? The number of Chrome users we have on our websites is greatly increasing, so we want to do something about it.
It is hard for me to believe that Adobe has not fixed this in this long time period.
If there is no way to fix those flash forms what would be the best and fastest work around? Convert to HTML and basically recreate the form plus include a captcha to prevent spam? Or does anybody have a better way of getting forms these forms to work on all browsers?
I really appreciate your help.
All best,
Micha

  • YouTube thumbnails not visible on Safari

The thumbnails on YouTube are not visible on Safari. The videos play fine. The automatic seach suggestion isn't working. Also, I can't expand the video player to the medium size; I can watch in full screen and the smaller video player size. Everything is fine in other browsers such ad Google Chrome. I tried uninstalling Adobe Flash Player and reinstalling the latest version. I don't remember installing or changing any settings that might have caused this to happen. I am using a MacBook Pro Version 10.6.8. Help me please!

You can make the user agent fix work permanently in all windows/tabs from terminal with this:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari CustomUserAgent "\"Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0\""
Note that there's a SPACE between "rv:11.0)" and "Gecko" The string is what you get from the Develop menu in Safari if you hover your mouse over one of the settings.
You can turn this off and revert to "normal" behaviour with:
    defaults delete com.apple.safari CustomUserAgent
if you use this trick and pick any IE user agent setting, GMail will break if you use it from Safari, that's why I've picked the Mozilla setting.
Hope this helps until a proper fix comes along.

  • Uploading files to website not working with Safari in Windows 7

    Safari version: 5.1.7
    OS: Windows 7
    Hi,
I am a website owner, and I have a feature on my site where users can upload large (up to 50MB) music files to my server. The feature works in Firefox on OSX & Windows platforms and it also works in Safari on OSX. The uploading feature is not working with Safari for Windows. Do you have any idea why and how to fix this? It can't be an issue with my server as it works in other browsers fine and works fine in Safari for OS X.
If you have any information on how to solve this or things for me to try to rectify this for use with Windows operating system it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    GREAT NEWS!!!!
I have solved this issue myself with some help from my a user on Microsoft Forums. The issue stems from the mime type of each Browser Chrome, IE, & Safari for Windows defaults as audio/wav. When the mime type is changed to audio/x-wav everything works. Firefox defaults to audio/x-wav and when changed to audio/wav it DOES NOT work.
Once I input some code in my .php upload page to change the mimetype if audio/wav is detected everything works GREAT!!!
So Here is what you need to do: Find your upload page and input this code:
    echo "<p>MIME Type: ".$_FILES["file"]["type"]."</p>";
right before your "If/then" statement of file type. For me it was near line 30 in my upload.php page, but I'm sure this is different for everyone.
This will detect and DISPLAY the default mime type of your browser on the error page when your upload doesn't work. Once you know what mime type works for your file type then you can change your "if/then" statement for mime type upload to change your mime type to the correct one.
I don't want to give the code here, because I'm sure it's specific to your file types and your site construction, but this should lead you on the right track.
***This is the solution if you ARE NOT ABLE to upload any certain file in a certain Browser. It has to do with mime type construction***
I hope this helps others like it helped me!!!!!

  • Email contents not visible using Yahoo mail, Windows 7 pro, FF3.6; email content fine in IE

New laptop with Windows 7 pro; loaded FF....worked fine for a couple weeks....then, contents in email no longer visible-----just blank box where text would normally appear. Only known changes were auto updates to adobe and auto updates to Windows. Zonealarm security in place since beginning, no changes since installation. When using IE, email is visible.
Just uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. Same result....emails still not visible.
Appreciate any suggestions.....I hate using IE.

When you send mail the field you mention is used to populate the "ReplyTo: fild in the mail header. Otherwise it has no purpose and setting it to nothing will also work.
Yahoo are obviously checking that field as you send mail. that is points to a valid address, and I have a sneaking suspicion that is might be required to point to your yahoo mail account.
Historically the"Nigerian" type scam emails used a replyto address completely different from the one used to send the mail. So even if the sending account was closed down they still got the replies. The mail quite commonly originated in Yahoo and replied to Hotmail accounts. So I guess they have a check to try and discourage that legitimate, but undesirable from their perspective, use.

  • Can Not send pictures and documents with my webmail, the link is Not visible on Safari Browser

Hello, i can Not send pictures and documents wit my tele2 webmail, the link to so this is Not visible. I tried Safari, Opera, and Dolphin.

Safari doesn't support the attaching/uploading of files. If you want to send documents or photos that you have stored on the iPad then you can use the Mail app - if you've set up your email account on it, then you should be able to start in the app that contains the document, and then use that app's functionality to select the document and attach it to an email e.g. in the Photos app you can use the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it to select and email a picture

  • Backupos not visible in time machine window

I wanted to put back a backup of my system today and noticed that only today's backup is visible in time machines window. In Finder i can see the other backups but don't know how to put those back.
Don't know if this is related, but I installed the 10.6.4 OS update. Before this I could see my backups in Time machine's window.
Is there a way to repair my backups? I do need them...
    Regards,

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
There are several possible causes, and fixes, for this. See #E4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

  • IPod nano: Connected to the iTunes on Mac OK but not visible in iTunes on Windows. But is visible in Windows explorer as a disc.

    Hi,
I have an issue with my iPod nano. I first connected it to the iTunes on Mac and synced perfectly, but now I am trying to connect it to the iTunes in Windows but iTunes can't see it. Even althought the iPod is visible in Windows explorer so it is connected to the PC. Don't know what to do next.

Well start with these articles and see if that gets you anywhere...

  • PDFs  not displaying in Safari for Windows (7)

I am not able to view PDF files from within Safari. When I click on link to a PDF file in Safari for Windosws (v 5.1), Safari just opens a blank window. The address bar shows the correct link,
I have both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat installed on the machine. I have tried to reinstall Reader, hoping that a pluging would be installed, but to no avail.

I'm confused by your post number 5. You said that IE10 was opening the right pane, which I read as opening with the content.
The RoboHelp 9 fix was written by a highly respected user who I believe applied the same code.

  • Top Sites Not Visible When Safari is Opened by a Link

When Safari is opened via a link, such as a link within an email, clicking on the Top Site button in the menu bar does not show my Top Sites (the starting web page remains visible). The Top Sites are there because you can click in the location where you know a Top Site should be and you will go to that linked page. In order to get this working properly again, you have to close Safari and reopen. I have tried resetting Safari/Top Sites but no success. I hope this is clear; it's easier to demonstrate than to describe.

Since the problem started ocurring after installing another application, I would suspect something with that last installation. Without knowing more about the installations, I would not be able to help much. Did the other installation perhaps install another DLL of the same name? Try uninstalling the last app to see if the problem goes away.

  • Navbar not visible in published site using Chrome browser

    Hi guys,
This is my first attempt at using iWeb (or building a website) and I'm stuck with the following problem.
I have create a small site and published it to a local folder. Google Chrome is my default browser so when I open the index.html file for the site I am greeted with the homepage but the navbar is missing. If I open the file in Safari everything is fine and the navbar is there as expected.
Is there an easy solution to this issue?
I've done a search on the discussions board but couldn't find anything related so apologies if this has been discussed before and please feel free to direct me to a previous post.
I don't have any experience with coding but I'm willing to learn if this is required and would appreciate if you could give me the idiots guide when making suggestion
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Hi OT,
The site isn't published online just yet, I have it stored in a folder on my local drive.
I am doing this site to help a family member out as they had a problem with their business site and the previous hosting company that they used seem to have disappeared off the scale of the earth!
It works fine locally when using Safari, just not Chrome. I haven't checked any other browsers yet so I suppose that would tell us more.
Would it make a difference if I were to uploaded it to the host? I don't really want to do that just now as I have put up a simple page stating that the site is down for now with an email link so that people can contact the owner.
If there is a way of doing this and having it hidden I could do that if you explain what to do?

  • Inventory transfer not visible in service call window

    Hi all,
we have booked a service call.
against that we transferred inventory to technicians in three documents out of which only two are visible in service call - expenses tab.
The third document is visible separately in inventory - inventory transactions - inventory transfer.
Now we want to create delivery out of it. How to go ahead ?
if we select unseen items in the delivery will they be deducted twice from the inventory ?
    Pls. guide
    Thanks
    Malhaar

    Hi Gordon,
We are able to find out the pain area.
From the back end , we made out that inventory expenses entry was missing in the SCL2 table. and we landed into the conclusion that after punching Inventory Transfer we missed to update the service call window.
    thanks
    Malhaar.

  • Svg line not showing in safari (ok in Chrome)

On Isabelle Tonnel's website that was put online lately, we are having a problem with the display of the line in the background of the first page : it doesn't show at all.
It is supposed to be the very same line on the right and the left of the document :
    http://www.isabelletonnel.org/images/anim/Ligne.svg
And it appears as expected on the 2nd page (click on the green/white words)
And it's working perfectly fine in Chrome and Firefox (although FFox has issue in skipping frames, but i guess that's a different story)

I may be confused as to what you're experiencing.
Are you missing the 'To' field in the Message viewer window (as shown in the screenshot I posted) or the 'To' field in the header of an email message (where you would write the recipients name)?
If the former, I thought you said the 'From' field was showing in the window, isn't that right? But in any case, it doesn't have to be the 'From' field. Hold down 'control' and click on the name of any field in the message viewer window and you'll get the same menu.

  • Uploaded site from iWeb, not visible on Safari, only Netscape and Explorer

I uploaded my web page that I created with iWeb. It is viewable from Explorer and Netscape but NOT from Safari. What's up?
This was created on a Mac, so there should be no problem.
    Here is the URL:
    http://home.comcast.net/~kardboardkid

I could see it on Safari.. it has a Beatles poster on the Home page and then others on the other pages...
Some flucky things happen with these browsers.
