Is there a way to find out when a browser triggers the
download complete and then push the cflocation tag?
So when a download is complete and the page regains focus
that the page can change. Tried javascript but it only fires when
the page originally gets focus and cancels the download - also
tried a javascript setTimeout - it also starts counting when the
page loads and stops when the page loses focus.

found the answer. What you do is you put the following code
in the <cfform>.

Is this error occurring for all PDF files that you try to open? There is an issue where all file icons can change to the PDF icon after installation, so is it possible that the files you're trying to open have been affected by this issue (and aren't actually PDF files)? Please see Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon.
If that document isn't the key, then please tell us more about these files. Where are they stored? Did they open in previous versions of Reader?

I am downloading the Mountain Lion OS X using disk utilities / recovery menu, after completion of downloading, how long the installer takes to install

The length of the download depends upon how fast your internet connection is. The download is over 4 GBs.
If you erase the drive before you install Mountain Lion then it should take around 20 minutes, plus or minus. If you are upgrading or reinstalling then it should take around 35 minutes, give or take. These estimates are impacted by the speed of your machine and hard drive.

Photoshop Elements will not open after download complete

It says my download is complete, but I cannot open Photoshop Elements. I have a Macbook Pro Mac OS X 10.7.5. I would love any kind of help...very difficult to find the answer.

Did you see it go through the install process? Maybe you need to find the instal file in your download folder, and run it.
Or can you see the Elements icon on your desktop, but it is not responding? As much info as possible please.

Biggly2000 what happens if you initiate the download again? You are directed to choose the download location at the time of download. If you have chosen a different location such as an Application folder or Program Files then the installation files will not be in your downloads folder.
I would recommend reviewing Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant for several common errors which occur when using the Adobe Download Assistant.

The phones in recovery mode so if yu connect it to itunes it should ask to restore it back to the last back up you have done.

You can automatically save downloads without seeing the Open/Save/Cancel dialog in the Options:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > General > "Saves files to"
However, I can't think of a way to have the Open/Save/Cancel dialog always default to Save. I think mine suggests whatever I did last for the same type of content, but I haven't paid close attention.
I'm out of time to address the problem with "do this automatically" but there is one suggestion for why it could be grayed out in this article: [[Change what Firefox does when you click on or download a file]].
Is it possible you had a download-related extension before? To compare settings and extensions, please retain the Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop. Aside from checking the extensions in there, it would be interesting to run a text file comparison on your currently active prefs.js file and your old one in that folder.
