"cflocation" Page Referer is gone

I am trying to redirect users based on a value of a session
variable when the page is refreshed.
This is working very well, but when the user clicks the back
button, they loose the referring page where they started.
glare.cfm is the main page, when this page is refreshed and
the user is redirected to another page through the
<cflocation> tag, the referring page "glare.cfm" disappears.
When user clicks the back button, I need to redirect back to
the glare.cfm.

also if your using cookies to keep the pages in order...keep
in mind...cflocation and cfcookies dont mix very well..

If it's a text box it means the text has overflowed the boundries of the box. Check for line returns which won't be visible but will trigger the warning.

What do you mean it has gone gray? Were you trying to update the app and it stalled on you?
Do you backup with iCloud or iTunes on your computer? If you have all of the files backed up then you should be able to delete the app and reinstall it - if needed.

I have the same issue with pages/keynote and numbers (iWorks). Came preinstalled when I bought the macbook air back in 2010 (Out of warranty). It crashed a couple of months ago so I took it to Apple but when I got it back the iWorks was no longer there. I cannot go back to Apple for a few months as there is no Apple store where I am currently.

My App Updates page -- sort order gone?

In the last week or so, I've noticed that the app listing on the "My App Updates" page seems to have gone from sorted by app name to a nonsense scrambled mess. Has anyone else noticed this or is it something in my version of iTunes? I wonder whether Apple has done away with the sort because their update servers are becoming overloaded. I have had problems with that page not even displaying when the number of available updates exceeds around 200 (there are separate threads on that problem).

I've just noticed the same thing in My App Updates list too. It used to be alphabetical by app name, so you could easily find specific apps (in my situation often a list of over 100 updates). Now it's an utter jumble. Anyone else with this issue? Perhaps it is specific to Australia. In any case - why the change, I wonder? For my money, alphabetical is the only way to go.

Try resetting your phone - hold down the Home button and the Sleep button until the silver Apple appears (ignore the red slider). Once it comes back up, see if your notifications are working.

Pages saved documents GONE after update!

The saved documents I had are no longer showing in Pages. It says I have no documents! This happened after the update. I had originally purchased Pages a year ago. What the heck?! I really need to get them back.

Strange, when you login at iCloud.com, and open up pages, do you see them? (to verify that your documents are still there)
If you see your docs, re-install pages on your mac. If you don't see your docs, I'm afraid they're gone.

Just updated the software on iPad 2 but pages app is gone

I updated my iPad2's software to iOS 5.0.1. After doing this, the Pages app which I purchased several months ago was gone, along with the files/docs I have with it. How can I have it back?

The battery drain issue started when I updated my iphone 4 to the IOS 6.1.2.
The battery will go from 100% to 0% in about 3 hours !!!
I called Apple support and they told me that they are not aware of an issue affecting the battery with the latest update. They did a diagnostic test on my iphone and found that my battery is healthy. Then then recommended that I backup my iphone, restore the factory settings and recover after that. In other words, delete everything off my iphone and reinstall everything all over again. I waisted a couple of hours doing that and .....I still have the issue of the battery drain.
I finally discovered the problem, and thus the solution!
To solve this issue, do the following:
Settings ---> Mail, Contacts, Calendars --->Fetch New Data ---> Advanced
Now click on your hotmail account or your company email account (anything in that folder other than yahoo, gmail or aol),
Change the setting from Push to Fetch !!!
And Viola ! Problem will be solved !
The problem seems to be that the mail exchange (i.e. microsoft, hotmail...etc) keeps checking and pushing emails from the exchange server every second (continiousely) and this is causing the battery to drain.When you change the setting to Fetch, then emails will start downloading every 15 min; but at least your battery will hold charge as it is supposed to do, until Apple comes up with 6.1.3 that hopefully will fix this issue.

I just updated to 4.0. The refresh, stop search, and home page icon are gone. The rest of the tool bar is visible. I have tried reload default. i have tried in Safe mode. I still have the problem.

The page back arrow, page forward arrow, address box, and search box works. I don't see an option to go back to 3.6

The "Home" button was moved to the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar. <br />
The "Reload" and "Stop" button are on right-side of the Location bar, combined into the same space as the "Go" button; whichever button is appropriate at any time is what is displayed. The "Go"button when you are typing in the Location bar, the "Stop" button when a page is loading, and the "Reload" button when a page is fully loaded.
If you want any or all of those buttons in their former location, as they were in Firefox 3.6, you can Customize your Toolbars and put them where you want them. <br />

New tab page image is gone

I have an image that is a part of my add ons when I open new tabs but when I opened a new tab I accidentally clicked a option on the search engine box and now I have blank page when I open a new tab. I would like to get that image back as well as the search engine box

Sounds that you have reset Firefox and created a new profile.
You can try to create a new profile or reset Firefox.

When you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved to the desktop to an "Old Firefox Data" folder.<br />
Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.

Where has the iPad pages 'tab' key gone to? (ios5)

It was on the brown top menu bar but now it's not.

Not sure if anyone posted this, but to access the "tab" key takes four taps:
Tap and hold to bring up the context menu
Tap the right arrow
Tap "Insert"
Tap "Tab"
Pretty easy, right?
I seriously don't know why text alignment would take priority over the tab key and the like on the top menu bar. Heck, I'm wondering why it's not on the virtual keyboard in the first place. The few workarounds to this is to create a specific paragraph style or use an external keyboard, but I don't want to be bothered with both. Might as well just use a laptop or a non-Apple tablet instead.
It's amazing that one change in functionality to the Pages iOS app that I now use my iPad a lot less than usual.

"Save Link as" in Firefox is the same as "Save Target" IE and will save the file to a folder on your computer.

After FF update the page setup is gone and back to default values

we use FF as default browser for our web application (desktop), delivering it as default browser on the hardware we deliver and as the advised web browser for desktops.
The very annoying thing is that after updates to newest versions (it lately happened with update to FF 24) the page settings are not kept.
Instead they are back to the default values as if it was a new installation. We use the page settings to have clean prints. That is: without disturbing headers and footers and with margins to 0 (zero).
I 've been searching for a while why this happens and could find a solution. As customers are vigorously complaining now, we have to reconsider our browser policy.

Those "size" values will be displayed in inches if the Letter / Legal / other American paper sizes are set, and in mm for the "A" paper sizes used elsewhere. So if someone would be using A4, a 1mm setting would appear as 1.0 - not 0.03937 .
From what I have seen, only 2 digits after the decimal point should appear. Those ''(or similar)'' with 15 digits has been mentioned frequently here as occurring with broken printer settings.
As far as "why" with a fresh installation, I have no idea. Any chance your company is using a custom Firefox configuration file (cfg) to set your own default prefs? And those old prefs are configured as the default for all your installations? Until a few weeks ago "we" weren't aware that those prefs had changed with Firefox 6.0. This support article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox - needed to be edited, after a user mentioned that he didn't have the ''older'' preferences and that article was misleading. I started investigating with every version from Firefox 2.0 up to Firefox (Nightly) 27.0, and discovered those prefs had been changed in Firefox 6.0 over 2 1/2 years ago. I had a number of other support contributors verify my findings in the Contributors forum; this article was edited as a result.<br />

Pages is gone!

I cannot open Pages. The Pages Icon is gone, it isn't in Applications, and doesn't open under search. When I try to open a saved Pages document, I see: "The document could not be opened. The file isn't in the correct format. The file might be corrupted, truncated or in an unexpected format." For some reason, TextEdit also opens in top tool bar when I open a saved pages document rather than Pages. How can I get Pages back and working correctly? Key Note is still there and opening properly. No one using the computer believes they accidentally deleted Pages.

I know thus seems fairly obvious but, just reinstall pages, either from your disc or the App Store.

Firefox Help page on "blocking cookies" is incomplete and refers to a "tool" menu that does not exist

There is no text after the colon.
Also the same page refers to selecting a "Tools" menu from the Firefox window(whatever that is?) - in order to get "Page info" so that cookies can be blocked. I can't the Tools menu - clicking on the Firefox (at top left hand of page) does not give this option.
I was looking at this page in order to find out how to permanently block specific cookie sites. I block them when they appear when I have set "accept 3rd party cookes to "keep until" - "ask me every time" - and I also have "clear history when Firefox closes" set. However the blocked addresses are deleted when I come out of Firefox - this is very irritating as there are some cookies I wish to permanently block. This means that every time I open a web site I have to click on "deny" cookie several times - even thought they are the same ones I have blocked in a differenrt session. I prefer to choose what I block as some sites really don't work without their personal cookies - usually to support subscriber log in (e.g to log in to the "New Scientist" site)so "private browsing" doesn't really help and as you have mentioned elsewhere blocking 3rd party cookies can also cause problems

Thank you for "Do Not Track" it's a good start although it will have no effect if the sites ignore it.

Looks like a problem with show for that is only specified for Firefox 3.5 for that section.
