Cfolder compettive scenario authorization

Hi,
I have few questions about compettive scenario.
1. Creating user(suppliers, vendors) for the compettive scenario should be done in R/3 like other internal users?
2. If so should we get license from SAP for the compettiors like supplier  and is it a cost involved process?
3. What secrecy level of data when we allow the compettiors to access our data? is there any possibility to breach the security of  our R/3 system by using cfolder access?
4. Can the cfolder data  can be accessed through SAP ECC Portal? if so how we can give the access to our suppliers?
Pls answer me these questions. Right answers will be rewarded.
                   Thanking you
Regards,
N.Ramesh

Hi Ramesh,
Yes you need to create a cFolder user for your suppliers/vendors etc. basically for anyone who has to logon to cFolders. Also make sure you have assigned appropriate roles to the user. A list of all roles and their meanings/authorization is available in the cFolder Configuration Document.
Each user requires a license from SAP. The cost of the license is better known by SAP.
No user can logon to the backend R/3 system from cFolders. cFolder does provide an integration with R/3 and import/export of documents, material, etc from R/3 to cFolders and vice-versa. However this can only be done by logging on to the SAP R/3. Moreover cFolders has varied roles and authorization concepts that can keep data safe. It is the safe to exchange data with cFolders.
cFolders 4.0 onwards can be accessed from the Portal. In case you have to give access to this link, you should also give appropriate portal roles to the user so that only cFolder page is available.
Hope this answers all your queries.
Regards,
Reema.

  • Notification user groups customization

    Hi All:
We are currently troubleshooting the notifications sent when a document change status. We have document which moves from status A to B. On the status A, we have a group of users UserGroupA and another group B we have which is called UserGroupB. We are working with the SAP cFolders 4.00 authorizations
We have set these groups, transtions and status authorizations; however, we have problem to make them work. Obviously, we think that is a configuration problem that we can resolve having a good guide.
However, what we have found yet are 3.10 guide. Do you guys know a good SAP cFolder 4.00 authorization guide which clearly explain the authorizations and how to set the status process.
    Kind regards
    Gonzalo Perez-Prim

    Hi Gonzalo,
you can find more details on ther cFolders status management and notifications in the help portal .
In cFolders, you can use the Status Management function to control and monitor workflows in the way they are often used in companies. The following information is aimed particularly at users who set up and maintain objects for status management.
To implement a status profile for the scenario described above, you would proceed as follows:
           1.      Create a status profile to define the workflow sequence.
           2.      For each processing step in the status profile, enter a status (for example, New, In Process, Being Checked, and Released).
           3.      Define your status transitions.
Status transitions specify which status changes are allowed. For example, it is permissible to change from the status New to the status In process, but you cannot change the status New to Released. For our scenario described above, you might define the following four status transitions:
                                a.      Transition Process, which allows a status change from New to In process
                                b.      Transition Check, which allows a status change from In process to Being checked
                                c.      Transition Post process, which allows a status change from Being checked to In process
                                d.      Transition Release, which allows a status change from In process to Released
           4.      Define actions for the following:
¡        For a status transition, to notify users of the status changes
¡        For a status, to remind the users of impending deadlines or processing times.
When you define an action, you can create the message yourself or have the system create the message automatically (if you leave the text fields Subject and Note blank). You can define the following types of actions:
                                a.      Status action
The system sends a message whenever a status transition, for which you have created a status notification, is executed. The system provides an option with which a user can choose to manually edit the notification text before it is sent.
                                b.      Deadline action
The system sends a message whenever a status, for which you have created a deadline, has not been reached by the deadline.
                                c.      Processing period action
The system sends a message whenever a status, for which you have specified a processing period, has not been reached by the end of the processing period.
To understand how the system determines the recipients of notifications, see Recipient of Notifications Triggered by Actions.
           5.      Assign transition authorizations (optional).
You can find the master guide for cProjects 4.0 (also containing cFolders) at this

  • A/R Down Payment not posting to A/R Invoice

We are having trouble with the a/r down payment process. We have open invoices even though we have already received payment.
For example, a customer mailed in a check to order items. We added the items on a sales order. We clicked on the Money Bag (Payment Means), and entered the check as a deposit on the order. SAP added a note that the order was linked to down payment. Through a batch process, we delivered the order and it became an a/r invoice. Because the A/R Invoice is created in a batch, we can't apply the down payment at the time of invoice creation. When we go back into the a/r invoice, the down payment money is not available to apply to the invoice. If we select the box with the triple dots next to total down payment to apply the down payment, it says u201CNo matching records found.u201D
When I click on the Business Partner, I can't see the down payment in their account balance to close it manually. What I do see is three entries. The first is a DT, debiting customer account for the a/r down payment. I donu2019t understand this entry, because this sounds like itu2019s u201Cchargingu201D the customer for their deposit. The second is an RD, crediting the customer account for the incoming payment. These two entries are reconciled against each other and closed. The third entry is an IN, for the open invoice.
How do I get the a/r down payment process to work and reconcile the incoming payment to the invoice?
    Please help.
    - David Daniels

    Hi,
The Downpayment functionality is the advance payment recieved and the same needs to be assigned to the Invoice.
If possible, please test the compete scenario which you have and make the target document from the Sales Order to Delivery and from Delivery document to Invoice.
The Invoice automatically assigns the Downpayment created based on the Sales Order. (Check in 8.8 version).
If it is not helping then you can check the option of creating a Reserve Invoice to book the advance you get against the Sales Orders prepared.
    Hope it helps.

  • Problem wih analysis authorization for two scenarios on same data provider

    Dear all,
I am looking for a solution on the following authorization scenario (using the new analysis authorization). Unfortunately everything that I tried did not work out as expected:
User A is allowed to manually access query 1 (based on cube A) with authorization on all sites A-Z
The same user A shall get an email distribution automatically (derivation of the filter in the query out of the authorization) for query 2, which is as well based on cube A, but this time the authorization shall be limited only to site A.
As both queries are based on the same infoobject (0PLANT) and the same infoprovider (0TCAIPROV) I always get the result for all sites A-Z. The 0TCAACTVT is in both cases 03 (display), so I have no chance to distinguish between reporting and email distribution.
Probably the only chance would be to derive the values for the email distribution scenario not from the authorization directly, but using a customer exit to fill the filter - but I would prefer a "standard" solution...
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Dear Andreas,
Before give you an alternative for you problem, Iu2019d like to comment the combining authorization concept:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/46/98cd87f37d19ace10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
For this reason I suggest you which combing restriction through authorization and query filter. For query 2 try to use in 0PLANT characteristic the single value u201Csite Au201D, this restriction give you only authorization for see this value.
Otherwise, you have to use customer exit.
I hope that alternative help you to find a solution,

  • Authorization for specific business scenario or business step in solar01

    Dear all,
we have an issue regarding solution manager blueprinting management restricting an access to specific nodes. Our goar is to have several substructures devided by modules like: FI, SD, PS and etc. And each team member according his position in a company should have an access only to his substructure and all the related documentation below that. Saying an access means a change mode not a display access.
Please find the steps have been performed during the configuration of project below:
All the configuration around system landscape has been done properly.
A new project for solution was created in solar_project_admin.
A correct logical componens has been assigned.
All the required users have assigned as a team members of a project.
At the projec. team member tab a box has been checked in for: restrict changes to nodes in project to assigned team members.
A proposed structure of nodes has been created within Tx solar02.
The right team members have assigned to specific node. So that only they suppose to have a change permission within that nodes. All others read only access.
Every user has sap_solar01_all role assigned to him. We have tryed assigning varios roles according to  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm310/helpdata/en/db/a1033b2a98f46ae10000000a11402f/content.htm
However as a result we are having a change permission allowed for every node within the structure. Like FI responsible member can access to any node from a tree. And he can make a change for SD related documentation.
    Please assist regarding this issue.
    Kind regards,
    P.S.
I found a thread with a similar problem which was solved by activating a checkbox which is already activated in our system and actually doesn't solve that problem for us.

    Hi
As far my knowldege goes this is not possible to do within same project or making the same.
You can have project specific access given to member but you cannot go module wise authorization.
Ofcourse there satellite system authorization will be different but not in solman.

  • IDOC Scenario - User  has no RFC authorization for function group EDIN

    Hi all,
I'm trying to configure an IDOC scenario from ECC to XI.
RFC's, ports and destinations already configured. On WE19 I'm creating an IDOC for testing the scenario. The IDOC is sent successfully, and it stops on TRFC Monitor with error "User PIRFCUSER has no RFC authorization for function group EDIN." .
Some of you knows what authorization is needed? Basis team said the roles are the same at DEV environment, and there this scenario works fine.
    Thanks for your help.
    regards.
    Roberti

    Hi,
Check with PIRFCUSER user , that is having the right authorization or not ..
And make sure that this user is present in the system & it should  not locked.
to check that user is present or not-----goto su01 of the system & check

  • Missing Authorizations Scenario (SU53) in GRC AC 10

    Hello Gurus,
    Good evening !!
I was wondering how can GRC AC 10 system help when an end user has missing authorizations ??
General scenario is if an end user hits a transaction and gets "Not Authorized" , he will send a SU53 screenshot and depending on that the Basis/Security person will assign a role or directly add a transaction to his "Base/Default" roles.
I am unable to visualize , how can we handle this scenario of missing authorizations in CUP or BRM .
Please provide me your inputs on the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Victor

    Hi Victor.
Am I correct in understanding that your concern is more about how the Security admin will determine which role/access to assign to the user given the SU53 report?
Personally, I would still use a report like SUIM within the local system to determine the correct role to assign to the user (if they should have it in the first place). Obviously ensure that the required roles are imported into the GRC system.
In summary, use your "As-is" process to identify what the authorization issue is, as well as the method for determining which role to provide to the user to resolve the issue, but the only thing that has changed is the "how to assign the access" i.e. you are not using SU01/PFCG as it would be hoped that you are using the GRC Access Request functinality to submit the role request/s.
I hope that has cleared up the initial misunderstanding I had.

  • Assigning authorization to status in cFolder status profile

Working with cFolders, I've written a function module that creates a status profile with statuses for use in a collaboration.  The status profile, several statuses and status transitions are being successfully created.  I am adding user group and role authorizations to the status profile using cl_cfx_api_authorization->set_authorization.
I am trying to add user group and role authorizations to a couple of the statuses as well but that isn't working for me.  I'm trying the same set_authorization call as above but I get an error back saying the object doesn't exist.  The message gives me the ID for the status which does exist in the cfs_status table. In stepping though the code it doesn't appear that this method works with statues.  I have used it successfully with collaborations, work areas, and status profiles that I've created.
Does anyone know how to add user group and role authorizations to a status? Or could someone point me to some documentation?  I'm having trouble finding anything on the cFolder related classes and function modules.
    Thanks
    Terry

    Hello Everyone,
    The statement that,
According to SAP at this time there is no api call for adding authorizations to the status or status transitions of a status profile.  This has to be done through the user interface.
still holds good? Has anyone tried setting authorizations for cFolder?

  • HR Authorization Specific Scenarios.

    Hi all, i am faced with the following scenarios and trying to see if my solution is correct;
    There is a group of HR Users in the company and each HR user in the HR department is not allowed to view each other's Personal Data. However the challenges come with this 2 exception;
    1. 1 User is able to approve the leave of another, meaning there must be some maintenance access to allow Write to say IT2001 (Absences)
    2. 1 or more HR users will run PAyroll for the HR department. Again, more infotypes need to be read in order to achieve this.
To separate the access within their own staff, i implement a value in IT0001-SACHP (value 001) so that they are restricted in their profile to their own HR Grouping. Their profile has all access except 001.
For the ability to approve Leave and also perform payroll, am i right to specify P_ABAP to say that i bypass IT check for the reports/programs related to the leave approval and Payroll run ?
    Advice is greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
I don't think P_ABAP bypasses Program authorization. It's for Reports.
    To quote :
P_ABAP does not affect the authorization to start reports (this controls the program execution checks). Simplifies and accelerates additional individual checks in HR reports, or switches them off entirely.
If the user, as a general rule, is permitted to carry out uncritical reports (e.g. creating a list of telephone numbers), then do not assign an authorization for the object HR: Reporting (P_ABAP).
    Using P_ABAP in HR Reporting:
You can use the relevant authorizations for this object to control how the objects P_ORGIN, P_ORGXX,
Customer-specific authorization object P_NNNNN are used in the specified reports to check the authorization of HR infotypes.
You can also use reports to control the infotype authorization check. This can be useful for functional reasons or to improve performance at runtime of the corresponding reports.
For this object, enter the report name(s) in the REPID field and the degree of simplification to be used for the authorization check in the COARS field.
The following degrees of simplification are possible:
COARS = <BLANK> or no authorization.
COARS = 1.The authorization checks for the infotype/subtype combination and for organizational assignment are to be checked separately.
This means that a user is authorized to read a personnel number when he or she has a read authorization for all the infotypes (subtypes) requested by the program and that the user has a read authorization for the organizational assignment of the personnel number.
COARS = 2. The authorization check is inactive.
Note that an ABAP authorization for report SAPDBPNP with COARS = 2 means that all HR reports based on the logical databases PNP or PAP (nearly all reports) cannot perform any more authorization checks. In general, you will only want to deactivate the authorization checks for a very small number of Reports. In case of doubt, do not assign your users authorizations for the P_ABAP object.
Futhermore, this authorization object differs from the object S_PROGRAM (ABAP: Program Run Checks).
The latter is used for _general program authorization checks.
In HR reports, these checks are carried out in addition to the HR infotype authorization check. HR Reporting, however, overrides the HR infotype authorization check for selected reports, with the result that the authorization checks are weakened or completely switched off.

  • CFolder bidder authorization

    Hi experts,
We are working on SRM 5.0 (SP 14) and C-folder 4.0. We are implementing competitive bidding with 2 Envelope Functionality. Our problem is the authorization of bidders in C-folder.
After the bid invitation is published and the bidder logs in for the first time, the bidders can upload documents in their respective private folder and view the buyeru2019s public folder (standard C-folder feature). We have an additional user (let us call him XYZ) who is supposed to do the technical evaluation of bids received from bidders. XYZ has access to open the C-folder. Once XYZ logs in, a new private folder is created (custom development). After XYZ login, later, when the bidder logs into C-folder, bidder gets u2018Readu2019 authorization to all folders (including other bidderu2019s folder). We want to control the authorization of bidders to only his folder and the buyeru2019s public folder. How do I control the authorization programmatically?
We have implemented the BADI BBP_CFOLDER_BADI to create the new private folder for user XYZ using method COL_AUTHORITY_CHANGE and calling function module CFX_API_AREA_CREATE. After implementing this BADI, the bidders get u2018READu2019 authorization to other bidderu2019s folder. We tried to set the authorization of bidders using function module CFX_ACO_API_ACTIVITIES_SET but it didnu2019t work.
Kindly request you guys to provide any inputs for this issue.
    Thanks.
    SKN

    Hi Experts,
I could fix the User authorizations issue using Cfolder BADI by identifying the 'Collaboration ID' and 'Area ID' of each folder and assigning the necessary authorizations to required users.
    Thanks.

  • Authorization problem for idoc scenario

    HI,
Can some one tell me what are the authorizations required to post a custom idoc to R/3 from XI ? I have done a scenario like file->IDOC(custom).When i execute the scenario it is successful in MONI. When i execute the transaction IDX5 in XI, i am seeing the status as No authorization to send IDocs with message type ZMASEMPDETAILSMT....Any help on this will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi,
    Please check SAP/ERP
WE20 navigate to logical system and check the INPUTPARAMETER (ZMASEMPDETAILSMT must be a value there)
ON XI check WE21 (define a port to your ERP)
On XI create CC IDOC receiver and point to this port
