CFolder- Export BOM as a PDX package

Hi All,
I have uploaded the BOM through "Upload PDX Package" and now I m trying to export the same BOM.
But I am getting the following error.
"Internet Explorer can not download structure_version_export.htm"
What could be the reason for this behaviour?

BOM ECN extraction as PDX package

Hi ,
We are using CFO 4.5 and wanted to use PDX export / import functionality.
In SPRO - Specify Field mapping profile for PDX Package import and export, i can see two profiles as foll:-
0SAP_CFX and 0SAP_ECN
Any other configuration is required for extracting ECN and BOM in cFolders as PDX package?
I tried to export an ECN as PDX package , but was unable to open the file.. Any suggestions?

Hi,
the profile to export an ECN in cFolders is 0SAP_ECN, as you indicated.
The reason for an issue with opening the exported file can be for example:
1. You export data that is not completely populated, e.g. in an ECN, you have materials and MPNs where some of the fields mapped in the profile are not maintained. For this, please try to export an ECN without any linked objects first.
2. If above export was not successfull, there might be an issue with the default export profile, or the tool that you are using for opening the PDX package. Which tool is it?
If you send me the exported file, I can also analyze it quickly what went wrong.

CFolder- Upload PDX Package

Hi all,
We are having business requirement to upload the BOM and ECN to cFolder. I am trying to use the "Upload PDX package "functionality of cFolder as a solution.
I am doing the following steps to upload the pdx package.
1. Clicked on Upload PDX Package Tab.
2. In create object screen , I have selected the BOM.
3. I am getting only one XML profile in dropdown as "Export/Import of BOM-PDX Package (IPC-2571). I have not ticked the From cFolder document. and then clicked on "Continue".
4. I have browse the required file and clicked on "Save".
Explorer Pop ups the Error window message as " CFX_UI/NO_WRITE_AUTH".
Am I doing correctly or am I missing any configuration steps? Please help.

Exporting BOM out of a company

Forum,
I am wondering how best can I export BOMs out of a company. I would like to get these into excel so i can import them into another company via DTW.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Juan,
Like anything else, you can keep your BOM open and click on Excel link in toolbar above and export to Excel, Right?
But that form of layout may not be useful if you want to import again to another company. What you need is, take only those columns what you exported to excel and paste it into the DTW production BOM sample template. The DTW production BOM templates are available by default at - C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\Production\Bill of Materials and production orders at C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\Production\Production Orders.
Try out a few times to ensure you mapped you BOM columsn to the DTW BOM import template. One time effort and after that it becomes pretty mechanical.

Export file framework.exp of package javacard.framework not found

Hi,
trying to convert the HelloWord example of the Sun Javacard Kit (2.2.2), i get the "error: export file framework.exp of package javacard.framework not found". I have compiled the file according to the documentation and i am still following the documentation for converting it.
this is the command i use:
%JC_HOME%/bin/converter.bat -config C:\java_card_kit-2_2_2\samples\src\com\sun\javacard\samples\HelloWorld\HelloWorld.opt

how did you compile ur helloworld.opt file coz when i tried it i got this err msg
call %JC_HOME%\bin\converter -config ..\src\com\sun\javacard\samples\HelloWorld\HelloWorld.opt
and got this err

CFolder- Export/Import of Project BOM

Hi All,
Our client is global company which is having two level of company codes. for example - Sales and Engineering.
We want to use cFolder functionality to share the information within different company code.
1 .Is it possible to use cFolder for the above scenario?
2. Is it possible to export /import the Project BOM ( from SAP PS)

Hope your question is export / import of WBS BOM.. Seems not possible as standard functionality
Material BOM, Material, Documents and MPN's possible

Export BPC data using standard package

I tried to use the standard 'EXPORT' package to export data to flat file.
It is successful for the base members but fail for the calculated members.
How to export the calculated member? Do I need to customize the EXPORT package?

The export package basically exports the transactional records from the database to an external file. However, the calculated members are not stored in the database. These members are calculated on the fly. And thats the reason you are not able to see the data for the calculated members.

I am running a sql server job which is loading data to a sharepoint document library.File is an excel format and is getting loaded
when executed through SSDT solution .But when i am using an SQL Agent job to pick up the file it doesnt get the path and agent job fails with the error "Failed to acquire connection".I have deployed the SSIS Package through SQL Server 2012 deployment
methodologies.
I am not able to trace the error of loading data from a sharepoint library.library. Sql agent jobs works fine when i give local path.The
account which is running the sql agent job is the same who has access to document library.I also tried to run the job through proxy account. I am using a xml configuraion to store my credentials.I am able to palce the same file to a network drive in the same
server through sql server agent job. The only problem is when I am trying to load the file to a sharepoint folder.

Is that the WebDAV method that you are suggesting here to map the n/w drive?
Its kind of webdav but you will be using windows nw drive to store data
yes, I am able to create the file to D: , but didn't check with the C:.
Try with c:, as c: require special permisssions

I'm not sure I quite understand what you're after, but no Lightroom doesn't share presets with those other programs.

BOM Version in cFolders - Upload PDX

Hello Experts,
When we create BOM using "Upload PDX Package" in cFolders, then system creates only one version.
When we create BOM in cFolders by exporting it from SAP R3 system, then system creates two versions.
Why there is different behaviour of cFolders while creating BOM with above two functionalities?

Hi,
If your file name contains space, the file will not be uploaded into cFolder. Try a file without containing any space in name. Ther is a note available at service.sap.com, Once you implement this note your problem wille gone.

while trying to create Additioanl attribute in XML Profile for BOM, its throwing an ABAP dump while saving this..
The error summary is

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSTRD_CUS_ORIG" had to be terminated because it
has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', was not
caught in
procedure "TRINT_EC_CUST_ORIG_LANG" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a
RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the running program "SAPLSTRD_CUS_ORIG", the field "LS_TABKEY-TABKEY" of the
type
"C" and length 120 was to be accessed with the offset 133.
However, subfield accesses with an offset specification that is not
| smaller than the field length are not permitted.
What could be the reason?

BOM version in cFolder

Dear Experts,
I am having BOM in SAP and now I am transferring it to cFolder.
Please let me know how many version it will create for BOM in Cfolder?

Hi Yogesh
When you export BOM from backend to cfolders it will create two versions first time.
There will be small checkbox on the export selection screen in backend if u select that only one version will be created.

CFolders BOM export from backend

Hi Gurus
Iam facing problem when iam trying to export BOM from SAP backend to cFolders collaboration.
Only the BOM header is getting exported and iam not able to see the BOM items in cfolder.
Sometimes iam getting error like you dont have write authorization for the BOM.
But iam having SAP ALL and also cfolders super admin authorizations.
Please throw some light on what could be the reason behind this.

Check whether you have maintained allias of cfolder in backend.
These are T-codes :
CFE01                Export Documents to cFolders
CFE02                Export Objects to cFolders
CFI01                Import Documents from cFolders
CFI02                Import Objects from cFolders

Is there any way to export a desktop AIR package when desktop is not supported by an ANE?

I have a third party ANE that I need to use. The ANE has a target for Android, but when I add it in Build Path->Native Extensions an error shows up "This ANE does not support Desktop(Mac) platform". Now, my app is targeting android, but to make it easy for others in my company to play builds without having a device, I've been using the "Export Release Build->Signed AIR package for installation on desktop" option. The problem is, since I've added the ANE, I'm no longer able to hit the "finish" button because it's greyed out due to the error (even though the checkbox to include the ANE is unchecked in the export settings. The only way I've found to work around this is to remove the ANE temporarily and comment out references to it to build the desktop package, which is not optimal. Any other suggestions?

Rather than commenting it out, you could define a compiler parmeter:

Then, in your code, wrap any references to the problem code in the config statement

Then, when you compile for Mac, you just need to set CONFIG::includeAndroidANE,false;
This is what OSMF does to support different versions of the player, and also what SWIZ do to support different versions of Flex.

Profitability Reporting at Package (BOM) level

How do other companies address this issue:
We sell product solutions (packages) consisting of one or more components and for logistics purposes need to process at component level in sales order, delivery, material doc etc. However from a finance, marketing and customer perspective the product being sold is the sum of the components and so we want to measure profitability at this level. However costs get posted to FI accounting documents at component level whilst revenue is posted at BOM level. The package is entered as a BOM in the sales order and are normally fixed components e.g. as below:
                                                   Revenue      Cost
Package:       DT100                     2000
Component:     A100                                        100
                        B200                                           50
                        C300                                           50
Profit= 2000-(1005050) = 1800
Ideally I need to get a posting that shows the related product package for the component cost otherwise I have to do clever reporting to look back to original sales documents to find related product package to link component costs to. Does CO-PA assist here or can I just do it in FI accounting in some way. I also considered using the product hierarchy i.e. the product hierarchy for both component (cost) and product package (revenue) is the product hierarchy for the product package.
