Cfolder questions

Hi Experts,
I have couple of question related to CFolder which a test system configured and running on a SAP sandbox WAS.
1) Can CF be extended to outside suppliers without a need of an sap UI and password? If yes, do they just need any special type of windows authentication? We have a mix of suppliers, some has access to SAP and some prohibited, but requires access to some limited SAP information.
2) Out of the box cfolder solution allows to work with SAP objects like Material, MPN, Documents, BOM etc....can you import SCORE CARD and SCAR objects from SAP. Or do you need SRM integration with CFOLDER?
3) Can you integrate BOBJ for publishing monthly (Excel, graphs etc) reports to the supplier area of the cfolder?
4) What are the pros and cons of running a cfolder system on the SAP ECC server itself. Does it need to be installed on its own server hardware?

Yes, cFolders is mainly available for collaborating documents, materials, BOM's etc. with business partners like suppliers, customers. No need of access to SAP GUI for using cFolders, since cFolders is web based application(BSP application) which can be accessed using backend SAP user id's with relevant authorisations.If few suppliers has already access to SAP system, then those user ids can be used to access cFolders, Check with your accounts manager of SAP for licensing details.
2) Out of the box cfolder solution allows to work with SAP objects like Material, MPN, Documents, BOM etc....can you import SCORE CARD and SCAR objects from SAP. Or do you need SRM integration with CFOLDER?
cFolders can be easily integrated with SAP ECC system for accessing documents from DMS, materials, BOM's. And as far as Score card & SCAR, i have no idea but SRM can be integrated with cFolders.
3) Can you integrate BOBJ for publishing monthly (Excel, graphs etc) reports to the supplier area of the cfolder?
Business objects integration..not much idea about it but the outputs from BOBJ like excels, flash files can be uploaded to cFolders very easily and can be shared with suppliers.
4) What are the pros and cons of running a cfolder system on the SAP ECC server itself. Does it need to be installed on its own server hardware?
cFolders is part of component CPRXRPM and this component is a ERP addon, so it can be installed on the same server of ECC. This can be installed separately also, but I would recommend to install on same server since the integration becomes easier. If you take reference of business suite IDES, the above component is installed in the same instance and you can have a look at this.

I have a dream ops sorry i have a problem when i call the digital signature bsp page from ITS everythings is fine i sign my documents and i generate a document on CFolder System, after the bsp call i am not able anymore to connetc to CFolder system, exactly i receive the logon popup, fill with user and password and it does not seem to recognize anymore the user!!
Waht's wrong i do not understand ? why after the call of bsp the cfolder system does not allow me to connect ??

Hi Gurus,
if u go to me23n transaction, there is one tab additional, if u click on that tab, u will see one more tab cfolder activation.
now i want to activate this functionality.
now go to spro>>>material management>>>>>purchasing>>>>>define link to external documents
here u can define cfolder link
the different parameters we have to define are as follows;
internet address, cfolder system alias.
i am defining these paramets but it is giving me error.
my question is , can anyone tell me what i have to put in these two fields.

Hi Amit,
We can not maintain the full URL of cFolders in path specified by u.
Solution for this is U maintain the alias for cFolders URL in tcode sicf.
For this select default host and then external aliases tab.
U will be in maintain ext aliases screen.
Then Select create icon (extreme left)( create new ext alises ).
Then select Trg element tab.
browse to this path /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui
and enter name for this external alias for ex:- /epnetweaver100
so ur URL will be like this ex:- http://epnetweaver.lntinfotech.com:8001/epnetweaver100
U maintain this url in path specified by u.
While saving it may give warning message.U ignore that and save.
U can now have cFolders link from ur sales order.

Supplier Registeration with Questioner.

Hi All SRM GURUu2019s,
I am Implementing SRM 5.5 with SUS and cFolder.
My Question is, when the vendor are registering into SUS, we have to 2 questioner forms.
First we will send 1st questioner to Vendor, and he will fill the questioner and he will send it back, then customer evaluate questioner, If they qualified in 1st questioner again we will send 2nd questioner, If they qualified in 2nd questioner also then only vendor will get register.
How can I do in SRM SUS. If anyone has experience, Please help me to find the solution.
Is there any BADI to use this or If it is development how to do it.
What is Supplier registration questionnaire in SUS- basic settings?. Does it work for me?, to send questionnaire to supplier.

Yes, the OSS helps and we are able to see product location in the Order Forecast details screen.
We are checking Key figure " Supplier Planned Receipt" which supplier will use to modify his plan against customer requirement.
Wondering this key figure is Non Editable for our case....then how supplier will enter his constraint plan?? Any help
Are we missing any customization to make key figures editable/non editable like Planning Book in standard APO?? plz help

Acces to cFolder from ME23N in ECC6

Dear Sirs, in the additional data of ME23N on our ECC6
there is a button called "CFolders".
Pressing that button the system shows the MEPO300 mesage
beacause no customization is present for cFolder.
I have putted in customizing one line in "Specify cFolders System Data"
but without any result; i have seen the standard code reads the table
tmmpurcfolders after the pressure of the button: what kind of data have we
to write in that table.
Another question: we have already a cFolder external system user for SRM, is it possible
to link this kind of documents using this button and relative badi/exits ?

Seems like your debugger was left on by ABAPER on ME23n. Please check with abaper and they will solve this issue.

SRM table CFF_CONT question : huge table, what is that table for ?

We are looking to have more details about table CFF_CONT on a SRM system
The tolat size of DB is 344 GB
and only for table CFF_CONT we do have 284 GB, compared to total size this is really huge
the rest of the DB is only about 60 GB
What is that table for ?
Would it be normal to see that table on SRM growing much more than the others ?
Is that table something that can be clean up ?
Those questions are poping up becasue we are doing a system copy with sapisnt and R3load
and we see that this table only is requiring a so huge amount of thime to be exported

How to Set Portal Single Sign-On to cFolder

Hi,
We have configured cFolder to work with SRM ABAP (D11) and Portal (DJ1)
and it's working fine.
SSO also configured from Portal to SRM ABAP, ECC, and BW as backend withtype UIPWD.
But SSO to cFolder doesn't work.
Creating a system with alias SAP_CFOLDERS in the portal doesn't help.
I have read [cFolder Integration with SRM 7.0 in RFx; and it said that:
If you use NetWeaver Portal, SSO setting is same manner you did for SRM. Portal -> SRM and Portal -> cFolders.
But the login window still appear.
Please help.

CFolder integration with SRM

R3 4.7
CPRXRPM 4.0 SP11 (separate Server, not installed as add-on to SRM server)

When i create a colloboration folder from bid invitation by clicking create, the cfolder is created correctly. I can log on to cfolders directly and see that it created cFolder for bid invitation correctly. However, after clicking create button, and create button goes away and cFolder link is there, when i click on it, i recieve the following error message:
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: the Application Name cfx_rfc_ui in URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui/area_de.htm?p_col_id=DEB8F181971056F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_area_id=DEB8F181971057F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_role= is invalid.
My user ID, the creator of the bid invitation has all standard CFX roles assigned to it in the PLM server. The RFCUSER in the RFC destination has all the CFX roles assigned to it (in PLM server) and is integrated in to the SRM org.
Why role is invalid?
Couple of other questions, the complete URL in the error above has the SRM host name, so appears to me based on the URL that SRM is validating role, and the ICF service being called (cfx_rfc_ui) is also at the SRM level. There arent any CFX roles existing in SRM and /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui doesnt exist in the SRM ICF framework. This may be nothing, i would of just expected when clicking the colloboration, it would take me to the PLM server.
It seems I have missed a piece of configuration or something? Do i need to install the CPRXRPM add-on to SRM to get this to work? Any insight is appreciated, I am at a total loss.
Again, the colloboration folder is being created in the background with no issues. RFC connections work. Once cfolder is created i am uable to accesss as buyer/rfx creator from the bid invitation. No issue if log directly in cFolders.

Yes, i had to submit an OSS message that got kicked around a bit and ended up with development team at SAP. I spoke with the developer on the phone and if I remember correctly, he indicated one of the support packs activated the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL, can not be sure if this is the root cause as it was phone call and I have no documentation of root cause.
the fix was to de-activate the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL.
We did that, works fine, and did not affect any other business scnearios.

Getting Auth error for cFolder only for first time

Dear Experts,
I am getting authorization error when I click on "Tech RFx" button from vendor side.
After that if I close that cFolder window and again clicking on "Tech RFx" button, it is allowing me to go ahead without any error!
I tried debugging, I am getting error from one standard method which gets metadata.

ECN Export to cFolder along with Affected item

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to export ECN along with all the affected item and history of ECN in PDX format.
I am using cFolder to export the BOM in PDX format. There is no option to export the ECN from SAP to cFolder using CFE02
transaction.
I can export the ECN to cFolder using FM CFX_S_API_WRITE. But, I also want to link the Affected items to ECN while exporting.
My question is
Is there any way (any FM or Method) so that I can read existing SAP BOM in terms of cFolder attributes (like CFE02)
and pass it to FM CFX_S_API_WRITE?
There could be many BOM in an ECN and it is required to write all the fields of BOM so it is hard to write BOM using CFX_S_API_WRITE.

then check out EXPORT and EXPORT_VERSION ( ). To understand how to convert the ERP data into the cFolders structure.

Opening CFolder UI

Hi,
It might sound very naïve question, but it is my first day playing with Cfolders 4.5 (part of PPM 5) and I am not able to see UI itself. Here is what we have done so far.
1-     Installed CPRXRPM 500_702 , Same server as ECC, component service pack 7
2-     SU01 , added admin role SAP_CFX_ADMINISTRATOR
3-     I could see Collaboration folder options in SPRO IMG, I didnu2019t touch those yet.
Started NWBC, but could not see Cfolder options here. I want to see admin console to set up 'Status Profiles', 'Folder templates' etc.
1-     Is there any transaction to start Cfolders, so that I can start configurations.
2-     Do I need to have any other building blocks before I will see Cfolder screen.

Landscape for cFolder 4.5

Hi All,
We are planning to install cFolder 4.5. What landscape do we need to build for it. Will it be a 3 system landscape (DEV, QA, PRD) and cFolder installed on all systems OR its only one system with cFolder installed on it.

cFolders implementation needs a good preparation especially a clear design/architecture needs to be made.

As you can see cFolders is a distributed application, in case you also want to interface with SAP backend systems (I suppose so) you also need DMS and PLM components in the backend systems.
So I think it is a good idea to align DEV, QA and PRD.

Two part Bidding and cFolder

Hi friends,
We are using SRM 7.0 with PPS. I have configured cFolder for Two Part Bidding. I am facing problems for Opening Technical Bid. Before opening date and time I am able to access files attached by vendor through cFolder. Is there any provision to give Opening date and time in cFolder. Am I missing any configurations?

PERSISTED, and as far as I know all functions used to compute the value of a computed column have to be deterministic if we want that column to be
PERSISTED, and what I know also is that if we want to convert a function to deterministic we have to add
WITH SCHEMABINDING in
the function definition ...
So is there a way to make this function deterministic without
WITH SCHEMABINDING ?
OR is there a way to make a computed column
PERSISTED without its functions to be deterministic ?

Use of content server for cFolder

For cFolder, the use of content server is optional. My question is when should we use it ?

It is depend on the organization need and kind of development they are doing.
It is used best when are project team is working globally and virtually same.
we can share project docs,maintain BOM , Material management,discussion thread,and also used for online meetings.
