Hi All,
I have one basic question in cFolders ie., where actually the documents and other objects stored when uploaded or created in cFolders via webinterface before using T.As CFI01, CFI02 etc..

Bid submission deadline restriction for document upload in cFolders

Hello,
We have a scenario where Bidding Engine (SRM 4.0) is integrated with cFolders (cProject Suite 3.1). We are facing the porblem of no time restriction on cFolders document upload. Pl find below the detailed description:
If the bid submission deadline of a bid invitation has elapsed, the bidder cannot access that particular bid invitation. If he tries to access it, a message is displayed "The submission deadline has already passed". However if he clicks on the "OK" button, he can go to the tab page "Information from Purchaser". Here he can, not only access the attached collaboration but can also modify the documents uploaded earlier. Also he can add as many documents as he wants, even after the passage of bid
submission deadline & save it.
Whenever the buyer accesses the particular bid he can see the latest documents (those were uploaded after the bid submission dealine).
My question to the experts is, how is it possible to restrict the bidder from uploading documents in the cFolders Collaboration after the bid submission deadline has elapsed? The bidder should not be able to upload/modify documents in cFolders collaboration after the bid submission deadline has passed.

Need to transport a Folder from cFolders into SAP R/3

Dear Members,
I want to import a whole folder( and it's child documents) from cFolder into SAP R/3. What I did so far is that I have created the RFC Dest., Configured the cFolder in R/3 using Tx CFC01, created a Search for the folder inside cFolder and ran CFI01. There I entered the cFolder Application name and entered the cFolder Search as my search name (using the search help). Then when I am trying to Add Documents it's showing a message No lines added. cFolders document(s) contain no file(s). What I have seen so far even after debuging and after doing a lot of R&D is that, Documents can be imported but folders can't be. But my requirement is to import all the folder element in one shot.. how to go about that? Please lit into the matter..I am waiting with points

TREX in cFolders

Hi,
TREX is already installed and working fine in EP. But in cFolders, we are not sure how to search by content using the TREX.
What exact configuration need to be done in between SAP R/3 TREX to cFolders, so that we can search using TREX.

Hi Ani,
once you have installed TREX and set up the RFC destination you need to go to transaction skpr06 and maintain the readiness for indexing for the cFolders document area CFF. It is not necessary to also classify the CFF area (it is sufficient to select the first checkbox).
Next, call transaction skpr07 to specify the Document Class which is CFF_VERS for cFolders, specify the language and the DocArea, which is CFF. You also need to index your documents so that they are found in the full text search (might be time-consuming) and afterwards, schedule a periodic job to index new or changed files again.
Please make also sure that TREX is generally activated within cFolders, for this please proceed as follows:
1. Use a WebDAV client (such as Portal Drive or Microsoft Web Folders) and log on to the WebDAV Settings folder of the cFolders system. The user should have administrative authorization.
2. Open the XML document called NETWORK.XML in the folder 'System Settings' for editing.
3. Search for XML tag 'TREX_Metadatensuche'. Modify its value to "true".
4. Save and exit.
5. Re-login to cFolders.
In case all configurations are correct, the message "The file contents are also also searched" is displayed in cFolders when you create a search request.

C FOlders Document to be attached directly to WBS

Hi Is it possible to attach a document of C folders directly to WBS .That may mean can we have a Tab called WBS in CFI02 from where we can select the WBS and attach the document.

Directly assigning the cFolders document to WBS is not possible/sure.
The other way is - if DMS is in place - we can import the document fm cFolders to DMS and then have a link of DMS document to WBS through object link.

I am working on a requirment "Passing Cfolders documents/attachments to a third party document managemnt system.
Question : Is it possible to see all the files which are uploaded in Cfolders like the ones seen in R/3 transaction AL11 at Unix level ? Do the files we see on the PLM Cfolders web Browser have a physical directory on SAP GUI from where we can view and download these files on the local machine ?

check CFX_API_DOC_DOCUMENT_ASURL to get the URL to the document. There are other functions out there to get the content then. Just select CFX_API_DOC_* in SE37.

CFolder : How to fetch the additional fields enhanced using XML ?

Hi Champions,
We have enhanced the cFolders document create screen with 2 additional fields. this we could achieve through adding new fields in the Generic object XML file. And placing the same in the Web Dav Folders.
Now we need to fetch the data which are getting updated for each document against this new field.
We are not able to trace in BSP page , whether this gets saved against any table , or structure or some other mechanism the data are fetched.
We need some pointers to fetch this data so that we can use it for upgating, classification data of DMS, and additional content to the notification sent via cFolders when the status is changed etc..

CProject Suite and WebDAV ...

Hi all !
created eternal alias in 'sicf' for <defaul_host/sap/cpro> named webdav;
now i want to connect to this WebDAV folder via Portal Drive or open this URL as a webfolder in Internet Explorer ... for example http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/dpr for cProjects or http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/cfx/cwn for Folders; both doesn't work; error -> could not be opened as a webfolder in IE or 'path could not be found' in Portal Drive;
something missconfigured ?

goto t-code 'sicf';
create an external alias e.g. /<sid><client> pointing to /default_host/sap/cpro;
[ don't forget to activate the service /default_host/sap/cpro ]
use the URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/<external-alias>/cfx/cwn to connect to the cFolders documents with e.g. SAP Portal Drive;
without an external-alias u can test it via URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/sap/cpro/cfx/cwn;

Settings URL for WebDAV Access

Hi,
I am not able to create the cFolders Settings URL for WebDAV Access. I have created an external alias "cfolders_webdav" & as per the syntax for URL --->
<Protocol>://<Server>:<Port>/<External Alias settings>, I have created a URL "http://etdspd01.corp.clp.com.hk:8000/cfolders_webdav". However this is not working.
Can someone pl give any clue?

Thank you for your reply once again. I was doing exactly the same thing that you've mentioned (plugging the URL into my browser). Later I realized my folly & created the WebDAV URL into "My Netwrok Places". Nevertheless your reply helped me confirm that what I was going in the right direction.
I sub-question to the above topic. What role does WebDAV play in archiving of documents? How does it help in pushing the cFolders documents to a Document Management system?
I would appreciate your inputs on this as well.

Hi All,
Is anyone aware of API functions for the cProjects suite? (i.e. cFolders have CFX_API_* function set).
I'm working with SAP cProject Suite 3.10 (based on 640) and need to be able to read project info such project type, status, description, etc... from a remote system.

Restrict the creation of documents in the cfolders after the Bid End Date

Hi All,
The System allows the bidders to create documents in cfolders even after the Bid Submission deadline has reached, whereas the Quotation would not be submitted as the Bid Submission date is in the past. Is there any way to restrict the creation of documents in the cfolders after the Bid Submission End Date?

Hi Mary,
In the competitive scenario in the first screen itself there are fields for "Due date" and "Due time". Once these entries are maintained, that particular collaboration will get freezed then and no documents or bids can be submitted post that time.

Display a warning message (text) for document up/download in cFolders

Hello,
We are working in the development system of cProjects Suite 3.1 on the cFolders application. Lets say there is a collaboration which contains a folder which in turn contains a document. On clicking the document name the document details are displayed. Under the window "Current
Version" the following text message is displayed:
"To display the file of the current version, click the hyperlink. To edit the file of the current version, choose "Checkout" if you want to change it online, or download if you want to change it locally"
We want to change the message text as follows:
"To display the file of the current version, click the hyperlink. To edit the file of the current version, choose Checkout. Using the "Upload" button will result in overwriting the latest version"
Kindly suggest the means to achieve this.

Document Upload in cFolders

Hi experts,
I am working on cFolders 4.0
When I create a material, data sheet, discussion, upload is hapenning properly and I am able to see the version of the created object.
How ever, when I create a document, I get the screen to browse for a file from my local machine. After I select a file, I get a popup box saying uploading <file size>. Also the IE status bar shows the message uploading <file size>
How ever, after the upload, the popup disappears and I am navigated back to the document headre page and I cannot see the document link.
In my java console, I get the following error:

Hi,
If your file name contains space, the file will not be uploaded into cFolder. Try a file without containing any space in name. Ther is a note available at service.sap.com, Once you implement this note your problem wille gone.
