CFolders System initial testing

I am very new in KM and cFolders area.
Currently we have already installed EP+EPC on Netweaver04s and trying to apply
business package Buyers.
The installation guide of Business package said that we need to have SM59 RFC
connection to cFolder system.
Anyway, as I have little knowledge about cFolder system. I don't know how
I can navigate to that and do the initial testing.
Kindly advise.

hi Erika,
for maintaining the RFC destination, logon to ur backend cFolder system. then goto transaction SM59 and maintain the destination. for more detail..plz refer this

    Dear G,
As I see your back-end system has 2 app servers... to cofigure the portal iViews to use both app servers you need to define that in the portal system object that is defined to connect to the backend system... You should look if the system object you use for connecting to srm is of the type: "SAP_R3_LoadBalancing"

In addition because you are talking about ITS you could configure a WebDispatcher in front of your Backend SRM system...

  • HP Pavilion M7-1015dx (0% of the System Memory tested OK)

I own an HP Pavilion laptop Model: m7-1015dx It was factory installed with Windows 7 (64 bit)
    8GB Memory / 1 TB Hard drive (5400 RPM)
    8GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)
My son spilled a drink into the keyboard of my laptop. When I discovered the problem, I turned off the computer, removed the battery, turned it upside down and let it dry for five days.
After turning it on, I discovered that the OS system was missing. Prior to the spill, I had upgraded the OS by installing Windows 8.0 Pro. Initially having the 8.0 Pro disks, I thought I could just install the software and all would be fine. I later discovered that I need to install the Recovery disks first, before installing 8.0. (I've ordered disks. They are on their way.)
I ran tests.....(I've downloaded photos of each test.)
First, it looks like I've fried my Hard Drive. I have removed the hard drive and inserted it into a USB HDD docking station in hopes to retreive all of my files. The docking station is detected by the computer WITHOUT the hard drive snapped in, but...is NOT detected when the hard drive is connected. (This analysis makes me think all of my files are gone.)
Question: Can a professional retreive my lost files off of the hard drive?
Second, one of the other tests, shows 0% of the system memory tested OK. Can I assume that I've also lost my 8GB Memory? If I am correct, would that be 8GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)  ?
Question: Can I purchase two new Dimm cards to replace the ones that I think are also "fried"?
When I inserted the 8.0 Pro software, the computer detected the software program and looked as if it were going to install it after I keyed in the Product Key Code....so to me the CD drive is in working order....as well as the processor.
Also, they keyboard and the keyboard back light works and fully functional as well. I haven't had an opportunity to test the speakers or the preinstalled webcam.
Question: Is it worth it for me to purchase a new hard drive and the (2 DIMM) or do you think my computer is a lost case?
Again, I have downloaded pictures of the computer screens when I ran the computer tests.
Any help, would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Hi Caren4u2. Sorry to hear about the accident. Spilling liquid on electronics is never fun, although I have experienced the cliche 'peanut butter sandwich' in my Blu-Ray drive.
Data recovery is possible. Most liquid damage on a hard drive, just damages the hard drive controller, leaving the actual data in tact. A local computer shop might have a trick or two which MIGHT recover data,  but if you are serious about it, you will have to look into one of the bigger companies which have specialized equipment to take the platters out of your drive to recover data. This usually costs big bucks. I have no specific advice on this, other than 'research' and weight the pros and cons of keeping the data vs losing the data forever.
If the system is failing the memory test, it is not possible to determine if it is RAM related  Due to the nature of the damage liquid can cause. The memory might be fine but the system board is possibly not capable of testing the RAM accurately.  It is hard to say without testing the RAM in a comparable notebook to see if they function or not. If you are just hedging your bets, RAM is a less expensive fix. A local computer store might be able to verify if the RAM is working rather quickly.
To find out the base costs of repair, you should contact support. Also you should ask to verify if you have an ADP (Accidental Damage Protection) warranty or not, that would be a game changer for you:

  • Can we have two R/3 Source Systems(Dev & Test) in BW Development....?

    Hi All,
Till now we have only BW Development box..
Our Landscape for R/3 side is R/3 Development, Testing and Production.....
Already we have connected R/3 Development with BW Development... It is working fine as now... We have finished our task at Development...
My doubt is <i><b>Can we Configure R/3 Testing to BW Development</b></i>....eventhough R/3 Development is already configured with BW Dev....
    <b>Can we have two R/3 Source Systems(Dev & Test) in BW Development....?</b>
Please help me out in this issue....
    Your help will be appriciated...
    Regards,
    Kiran Telkar

    Hi Kiran,
You can create second source system which will point to SAP R/3 Quality .
If you have transported all datasource activation requests to QA environment then all datasources are available in R3QA as well.
After creating source system , replicate datasources.
Only thing you need to do is to replicate efforts of assigning source system (R3QA)-> creating transfer rule -> Create info package and load data.
    Hope that helps.

  • Strange system screen - "System initiated. Nodes connected"

My phone was on the desk in front of me when it suddenly vibrated and a screen popped up saying "System initiated. Nodes connected", with a red "Dismiss" button underneath. I dismiss, reboot the phone, and after a few minutes it vibrated again, and the message reads "Awaiting player input from other nodes. Prepare to activate. Dismiss".
Anyone else get this? What does it mean?
My phone is Iphone 4 running ios 7.0.4.

  • Transport request from development system to testing system

    Hi,
I have collected necessary objects in (development) the transport request except 0DUNN_AREA infoObject .Because info object  0COMP_CODE is compounded with Info object 0DUNN_AREA and 0COMP_CODE is in revised version in development system (But available in active version in testing). Suppose I release that transport request from development system to testing system  it get overwrite 0COMP_CODE  in testing system?
    Thanks

    Hi Jk,
Depending the same technical names it will get overwrite in the testing server. But if the object 0DUNN_AREA is necessary in any objects which u have collected then u havce to collect it in the rtequest or else u will get RC8.

    Oops..thats weird.
Tell me one thing...then how gud is the code generated in terms of working...if someone has to really test the code pre-hand for expected business logicWhy i am raising this concern is becoz there are many features for which OWB provides support in indirect way(workaround) like exists/not exists.
Do we need to deploy mapping each time and then test through a run from Control centre?
Other thing, As far i understand, the code generated is not in such a format that one can directly copy paste it in any sql/plsql editor and test it...

  • REG:REGRESSION & SYSTEM INTEGRITY TEST

    Hi experts,
i have one question i dont know it may be basic question. i am new to xi/pi can you please tell me
how we test & what the purpose of the REGRESSION TEST,SYSTEM INTEGRITY TEST,PERFORMANCE TEST
what are the differences between these three test in pi
    thanks in advance
    koti

    Hi
From the point of view of  PI landscape and testing methodologies :
    Performance testing
1.To Test the systems load tolerance .Its purely physical testing and no application logic is tested in this. One case may be to check the system performance like how much time is taken if multiple users assess the system or say create  orders using the interface.
2.There may be several ways u can design an interface to make the business logic to work.(say with BPM or without BPM).So  in PT you can evaluate system performance and decide on which approach is best suited.
    3. It might be useful to fix any hardware sizing issues also.
4.Usually done  in pr- prod system  say after a system refresh or migration etc.
    System Integration Testing--
    1. To test end to end business logic and functionality when all the systems in the data flow are connected and individual unit test is already done (say ECC,PI and third party ).
    2. helps is checking the connectivity, execution of functionality.Basically it can be a functionality test.
3.Done after Dev and before User acceptance testing.
    Regression testing----
    1. Its done when there are changes made to functionality/data , before and after test scripts are prepared and executed.
2.its helps in checking if the changes made will effect any exisiting functionality ,basically before and after the change the existing functionality should not effect but the required changes should reflect.
3.Done after a  fix in code and before moving it to prod.

  • Transporting objects from Development System to Testing,Quality and Produtn

    Hi Experts,
We have developed one scenario in our project in Development System.
Now we need to transport the same to Testing System and test it there and then transport to Quality system and after that to production system.
Can any one let me know what are all the steps required for transporting like
    1) like wat are all the SLD changes to be done.
    2) Do I need to create all the SLD settings of development in testing and Quality as well.
Also please let me know if there are any other things other than SLD settings.

  • System Extensive Test Failed

I've been experiencing some blue screens of death. After running recovery from the hard drive partitiion, I still experience blue screens and often can't boot. Here are my logs from the HP PC Diagnostics UEFI.Where do I go from here?

The notebook passes the system extensive test with either of the two 8 gb memory modules placed in the slot closest to the motherboard.  It appears that the RAM itself is okay. I am going to try each module in the other slot.  Although it fails a test, I've never had an issue with the optical drive. I may not need to replace it. The notebook has the model number m7-j178ca.  I do appreciate your help, Huffer. We can wait on looking for parts until I check the other slot.

  • Apple TV - Systems Acceptance Tests

These are questions direced to Apple:
    1) Do you use Systems Acceptance Tests for the AppleTV software?
    2) If yes, will you publish them?
    3) Do you agree that some of the issues reported on these forums should be added, if they're not already included, into SATs for the AppleTV software?
The AppleTV is my first real experience of Apple and I have owned in for several years. I am not yet inspired to buy a Mac, even though it is great looking hardware. If only Apple could get the software quality up to the level of the design quality.

I assume that your My Music -> Artists list works perfectly to allow you access to this music.
Let me give you two examples.
    1) I have a CD called Fame Academy 2002 where each track is by different artist(s) but collectively they are Fame Academy. So, each track is tagged with Artist being who sang the song, Album Artist as Fame Academy and the 'Part of a compilation' tag is ticked. This seems to match exactly the example you gave.
In My Music -> Artists list, I get an entry for Fame Academy with a picture of the album Fame Academy 2002, but when I select it, nothing happens. Effectively it is finding no songs. There are no entries in the list for any of the artists as in the Artist tag, so I cannot access any of the songs from that album.
    2) I have a Christmas compilation album where each song has its associated Artist tag set and the Album Artist tag is clear and the compilation tag is set. Note that in iTunes, it shows the album name under the album artwork and then shows the text 'Various Artists' under the album name. This is NOT taken from the Album Artist tag as this is not set. iTunes works this out by the fact that the Album Artist tag is clear and the Artist tags are different.
In My Music -> Artists, there is an entry for each Artist tag and I can access the songs.
However, if I set the Album Artist tag to 'Various Artists', it appears in iTunes the same, however, in My Music -> Artists, there are no entries for each Artist tag, but there is an entry called Various Artists. The correct album artwork is shown, however there are no songs underneath it.
So, I challenge you to check that you really have got the text 'Various Artists' in the Album Artist tag. Because if you do, then your AppleTV update 2.3 is handling your tags differently to mine. My guess is that the Album Artist tag is clear and you are seeing what iTunes automatically shows when this is case.
By the way, the old saying from where I come from is GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out), but perhaps that's a cultural difference. The saying is true of both software as well as the data. However, as Winston has already pointed out, in this case the AppleTV is handling the correct tag data incorrectly and needs fixing. The job of a professional software engineer is to make allowances for rubbish data, it's called data tolerance.

  • Transferring the application from development system to test system

    Hi All,
I have developed Web  Dynpro application in one system ( which is development system) as "Local Object" . Now i want to transfer the whole application to another system ( which is the test system) .Can anyone please tell me the steps needed to transfer it.
    Regards,
    Muzammil.

    Hi Muzammil,
    There are 2 ways.
    1. open the local objects right click copy the WD component and provide a package which is not a temp. object and then you can transport.
Note: when you copy the application will not be copied.
    2. in se80. go to other functions -> write transport entries -> relocation of object with package change -> Provide a package and a description a
and your component is ready to be transported...
    Create application before transport..
    Hope this helps
